Blackstone Dresden
"My turn." Sayla said, smiling audibly despite her formless mask obscuring her face "GOD@#$%IT!!!!! I Set ANOTHER card face-down..." She said, pouting "Your turn again, Zeth." She huffed. While her eyes were completely hidden behind the mask, leaving one to wonder exactly HOW she managed to see, Zeth could literally feel her glaring at him, giving him the same eerie feeling as if he happened to be staring down the business end of a sniper rifle trained directly between his eyebrows. evilfusion
Zeth resisted the urge to shiver. He had been deeply involved with the criminal world and had spent two years in prison, yet Sayla unnerved him like nothing he had experienced previously. He looked over at his deck and drew his card. "My turn!" he said and a flicker of a smile crossed his face. "I activate Speed Spell- Vision Wind!" he said, slipping his card into the spell and trap card zone. "So long as I have at least 2 counters, I can special summon a Level 2 or below monster from my graveyard, such as my Substitoad!" Blackstone Dresden
"I Summon Embodiment of Apophis in Attack Mode." Sayla said as her little white helper moved the Trap she just set into one of her Monster Zones "You actually fell for that pathetic act?" She asked "Ha, I love it when I get to kill someone as gullible as you. It really makes me feel like I'm making the world a better place." The large snakeman slithered up to the Frog and the head on its back hissed loudly "Now then, do you have anything else up your sleeve?" She asked. evilfusion
Zeth scowled, starting to get irritated by the constant countering of moves. "Then I'll use Substitoad's effect to tribute Submarine Frog and itself to summon 2 Dupe Frogs in defense. Turn End." (DEF: 2000) x2. He had to use Substitoad's effect on itself to avoid the self-destruct clause of his Speed Spell, anyway. Time Psyduck
The young woman walked briskly down the street, trying to look as if she had somewhere to go. She didn't really have a clue where she was going, or more accurately she wasn't actually going anywhere in particular, just somewhere. She wasn't even sure why she'd bothered to actually come out here. Maybe it was because she'd been told to stay put that she suddenly felt a need to move. She didn't deliberately just do things because they'd requested her not to, although that was the only thing she could think of. She turned a corner. This point was known as a good vantage point, where one could see a great deal of the turbo duelling lanes that crossed above the city. She didn't expect to see anything special, so it was a surprise to see that one of the lanes was surrounded by some sort of purple fire-y light stuff. "What on earth....?" she muttered, mostly to herself. For some reason, she felt that the purple light/fire/whatever was important, but she had no idea why. Princess Judai
Izumi, instead of doing what Damian asked her to do, was driving along a road that had a very clear view of the Duel, until she almost ran into some young woman crossing the street.Izumi quickly swerved, and barely stopped in front of the young woman. She turned to apologize."I'm so sorry, ma'am. I was just trying to watch that Turbo Duel over there."
Time Psyduck
As she crossed the street, the woman suddenly heard the roar of a duel runner. The runner itself shot up the street towards her, at the last moment turning aside and coming to a halt in front of her. The rider, a woman who seemed to be of a similar age, started to apologise for something, although she was only half listening as she made her way towards the pavement. However something the rider said did register with her. "No, no, really it doesn't matter- wait, did you say you were watching a turbo duel? Is the one you're watching anything to do with that purple light?"
Princess Judai
"Yeah!" Izumi replied."A...friend...of mine is in that Duel. And I'm a bit worried about him, especially since he received these really weird mar-"She then saw a mark on the woman's right arm that resembled a swan, and she remembered some sort of warning that was floating around the back of her head, ever since she passed out hours before. You must find the ones who have the marks of the constellations, and destroy the cards they possess."YouknowwhatIreallyhavealotofotherthingstodotodaysoI'lljustbegoingseeyouaroundnicemeetingouBYE!!!!!!!"Izumi sped away, hoping the woman wouldn't follow. Time Psyduck
The woman stepped up onto the pavement as the duel runner rushed off as quickly as it came. What on earth was that all about?[/s] she wondered, as she stood looking at the purple wall. So her friend was in that in that duel, hence she's trying to see it. That makes sense. But what was that she said about marks? She hadn't even finish whatever she was saying before something spooked her, and she'd run off. Still, it seems I've found something to do today. She set off in the direction that the duel runner had rushed off in. After all, if that woman wanted to watch the duel, she'd probably stop at some point. The odds of catching up weren't good, but it wasn't like she had anything better to do with her time.
Ace Daimon
Ryusei was puzzled.Izumi almost ran over a strange young woman, but, as Izumi was apologizing to the woan, she got scared and drove away."Izumi.""Izumi...""IZUMI!!!" The Warden
The man had tired of his old swing and with some effort, he lifted himself from his seat. He looked down at the birthmark on his arm, before placing his duel disk over it, in design, it was right-handed. He began to walk off, noticing strange powers in the air, including the ominous lithograph that was hovering about seventy feet in the sky. 'Dark Signers' the man said softly. He walked off, he needed to go home for lunch.
Time Psyduck
Another duel runner sped past her, rushing towards the other one. The rider of this one was shouting something that sounded vaguely like "Izumi." On the other hand, he could have been calling just about anyone - it wasn't as if Izumi was a particularly unusual name. Since the purple light was still there, it probably wasn't the friend who was turbo duelling, so this was someone else. Having not seen either of them in several minutes, she decided they'd have gotten too far ahead, and turned off into a park, slumping down onto the nearest bench. What was with this feeling. It was as if something major was happening, and she was being kept in the dark about it. She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. She stayed in that position, trying not to think about purple lights and speeding duel runners.
Proto
Victor began to smile, these duelists clearly had not heard of the Dark Signers yet, he was going to put on a good show. "Alright, I draw now (SPC:6), I'll activate Speed Zone: Water World!" Speed Zone - Water WorldSpell/ContinuousYou can only activate this card by removing 6 Speed Counters from a "Speed World" you control. This card cannot be destroyed as long as you have at least 1 face-up WATER monster on your side of the field. This card's name counts as "Umi". Increase the ATK and DEF of all face-up WATER monsters on the field by 200 for each face-up WATER monster on the field. Decrease the Level of all WATER monsters in either players hand, graveyard and field by 1. WATER monsters cannot be targeted by Spell or Trap Cards when summoned. OOC: Props to YRPOtaku for most of the work on that card The whole area began to shift a bit, water was flushing around the Duel Runners and a strech of land was all that prevented them from drowning. "And next I'll normal summon my Warrior of Atlantis in attack mode!" Suddenly a large humanoid armed with a sort of harpoon gun began to arise from the water (1900 ATK). "Now I tune my Dark Tuner Catasrogue with Level 3 Warrior of Atlantis!" A large burst of stars came out of the dissappearing fiend and began bombarding the aqua warrior. The man gasped in pain as several of the stars pierced his body, transforming him into five black stars. "When dark overlaps with dark the doors of the underworld will open a world without light! Dark Synchro! Freeze to death! Frozen Fitzgerald!" Suddenly the black stars exploded, revealing a humanoid creature, with its limbs and face covered in gem-like ice (2700 ATK). "Frozen Fitzgerald! take that Junk Warrior to the scrapyard!" The icy beast released a barrage of ice onto Junk Warrior as a ominous chill was felt in the duelists' skin. Blackstone Dresden
"Trap Card, Open! Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!" Kenshin shouted, futilely trying to trigger his Trap. He scowled and pressed a button on his Duel Runner, flipping the view so that Victor's Field was directly in front of him, then sighed loudly, hoping that Victor didn't already know Scarecrow's effect. He let out a pained wince when Junk Warrior was Destroyed and his Life Points decreased to 3800 "That actually hurt... What the Hell?! Did you really try to recreate my great-grandfather's comic series and add a Feel drive to your Duel Runner? That's just... stupid, I guess is really the only term I can use." He shrugged "Now, is that it?" ((Yes, in this world, the 5D's Manga is an actual manga.))
evilfusion
Zeth looked back at Sayla, frowning slightly. Once again, she seemed to be taking a peculiarly long time to make a move. "Did you miss the memo that it's your turn?" he asked, unable to keep the snideness from his tone. "We're on the same side, so either stop with the death promises and allow the duel to end with no conclusion, or draw your card and make a move!" he growled. He glanced skyward again, towards the glowing lights in the shape of a killer whale. Victor...that was the Dark Signer with the mighty Chacu Challhua, the whale Earthbound God. The sooner this duel ended, the sooner he and the other Dark Signers could figure out who that idiot had chosen to start a Shadow Duel with. It was blowing their cover to show the geoglyphs so soon, damn it! Promethea wanted the Signers identified, not engaged. "We have more important things to attend to, anyway, so either finish this duel or just give up! One more time: It's your move!" Zeth snapped, eyeing her facedown card and Trap Monster. Blackstone Dresden
"I set one card face-down and end my turn." Sayla stated, though her tone of voice gave Zeth the feeling that the imaginary sniper aiming at his eyebrows just pulled the trigger. ((Sorry, Grady's not famous enough for history to remember him. Greiger probably is)) "Nope not really." Kenshin said, "Anyway, before your turn ends, I Summon my Trap Card, Machine King - 3,000 B.C." He said as a large robot on a throne appeared behind them "Now, it's my turn and I draw." He said, drawing and looking at his card and smiling under his helmet "I Summon Junk Synchron and Activate Speed Spell - Summon Speeder, allowing me to Special Summon Kid Junk." A bulky orange robot and a child sized robot appeared on the field. "Now, I tune my Level 3 Junk Synchron with my Level 1 Kid Junk and my Level 4 Machine King! Clustering forces give way to an ancient terror! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Full barrage, Junk Destroyer!" ((If no reaction, see below)) "Now, my Junk Destroyer's effect activates. For every non-Tuner used in its Summoning, I can destroy one card on the field." The 'ghost' of Kid Junk appeared on top of Victor's set card and Machine King - 3k BC appeared in front of Frozen Fitzgerald "Sorry, but Gatsby and your face down gotta go." evilfusion
Zeth groaned. This duel was growing tiresome already and needed to find a way to press an advantage and wipe out the rest of Sayla's lifepoints. "I draw," he reported dully. "I summon Unifrog!" Blackstone Dresden
"I activate my Trap Card, Chaos Barrier Field." She said as a card picturing a sillhoutte of an agonized man and two spheres, one red one blue, appeared in front of her "When your strongest Monster, in this case Unifrog, attacks me directly, I can take control of your weakest Monster, Dupe Frog, and have them battle instead." Sayla's voice was like that of a very sadistic sniper confirming her kill "All Battle Damage is reflected onto you." She said, cackling madly. "You lose, Zeth. This Duel, and your life." Her maddened voice gained an audible smile "Now I'll be Miss Promethea's favorite!"
Guest TheFinalFan
((Is it Damian's turn yet?)) A giant drop of sweat appeared on the back of Promethea's head."And WHAT made you think that you winning this duel would make you my favorite? You know what, just for that, I'm going to do this!"Promethea swerves in front of the reflected attack and uses her Psychic powers to prevent Zeth from being destroyed, but he loses his Life Points anyway. (Zeth: 0 LP)"You really need to learn to control yourself, Sayla. You won the duel, but you lost my respect. I won't punish you, but you will need to do something for me to regain my respect for you."Promethea then got back onto the main highway."Come on! Bringerofcake
Marcos, riding behind the entire time, said nothing. He merely looked on at the "power struggle" that was going on here. Of course Promethea was in control, but he had no doubt that this feud would continue. But the setting of that Dark Mark was problematic, as Promethea had said. He then felt a tug on his conscience. He activated the com channel, targetting Zeth's frequency."That was a very good game. Shame you lost, but you fought well."There was always a need to build trust amongst your team. Compliments are merely the beginning.
Blackstone Dresden
((Sayla was going to physically kill Zeth, like activate an Equip Spell and equip it to herself then run him through with it kill, not like Duel of Darkness kill)) Sayla started cackling madly and Fiend Roar Deities Levuathan, Valkiris, and Legion appeared and surrounded Promethea, Levuathan jamming his hand through her Duel Runner to prevent her escape, while Darklords Asmodeus, Desire, and Superbia did the same to Zeth. However, whereas Zeth and Marcos only heard the malicious cackling, Promethea started hearing Sayla speak "You insolent little @#$%&." She told the Atlas "You honestly think that I care about your respect? This pathetic girl does, yes, but I couldn't care less about you, or the Signers. The only reason I didn't drive out Ccapac Apu when he took over Alina was because I know what must happen for the Earthbound to choose living vessels as Dark Signers. I am more powerful than your pathetic Immortals and Gods. If I want to, I can kill you in a second. Less, probably."
