Princess Judai
Izumi also noticed her new tattoo, if it could be called that, as well as something else:A Duel Monsters card that had a similar red aura emanating from it.She picked it up to reveal a Synchro Monster called "Armament Dragon". For some odd reason, she had the sudden urge to include it in her Deck, and not throw it away simply because it didn't fit into her Deck.
Ace Daimon
Ryusei was a bit freaked out by the mark on his arm, but his new Synchro Monster was wicked awesome."Guys! Check this out! This card is so cool!" He called to Izumi and Damian.
Guest TheFinalFan
Damian, with his new "Blackfeather Dragon" in hand, walked over to compare cards with Ryusei and Izumi."Alright. I have to admit, these are pretty cool cards. Mine hurts my opponent, while yours destroys monsters, and Izumi's powers itself up using other monsters. Mine would work in my Deck, but I would have to be careful about the effects of my Koa'ki Meiru. Izumi's fits since she has a bunch of powerful monsters that send cards to the Graveyard. Ryusei...well, his card is a welcome addition to his arsenal.""But what happened? Why do we now have these Dragons and these glowing tats?" evilfusion
The red Dark Signer promptly stood up, gave a nod to the leader and left the room, smirking to himself. As soon as he was out of the room, he threw off the red-lined cloak, catching it on his arm and continuing on his way out. The cloak was a nuisance, best used for a dramatic appearance than for everyday use. He prefered the tough-looking, black-denim jacket and jeans. It kept an imposing appearance without standing out the way the robe would. Cult-like robes were never a good look out on the streets. Brushing his blonde hair out of his face, Zeth stepped outside, blinking in the sunlight. Now that the meeting was out of the way, he could focus on more important things. After two years in a tiny cubicle of a room, he had things to catch up on. First things first, to ensure those coppers hadn't gotten his Runner when he got busted. Fortunately, he had not had it with him when arrested all that time ago, but instead had it stored in an old warehouse. From the meeting building, it was a few blocks to the warehouse in question, and he hadn't encountered anyone he didn't want to see. He traced a finger over his criminal marking and frowned. This was going to make him stand out like a sore thumb in the city. He had been an idiot to escape in such a dramatic fashion, but he couldn't resist testing the new powers of his Dark Mark. As soon as the Mark of the Spider had appeared on his arm and granted him the most powerful Duel Monsters card he had ever seen, he had longed to test them out. Zeth kicked open the door to the warehouse when the lock wouldn't budge and peered through the gloom within. Dust and cobwebs littered the corners and ground, but he ignored them. Two years of being untouched would do that to a place. In the far corner, covered by a sheet, Zeth could see the shape of his Duel Runner. He grinned and approached it, tearing off the sheet and gazing upon the magnificence of his Runner. It was just as he remembered it, shaped like a jetski with two shades of blue intermingling to create the water effect. He reached over and touched a button on the Runner and his grin widened when the secret deck compartment he had installed popped open, revealing the cards he changed in his main deck while Turbo Dueling, as well as the laminated list of which cards he usually swapped them for, kept in case he had to switch to a Turbo deck or vice versa on very short notice. "Good, good," he murmured, closing the compartment and opening a storage compartment in the back, placing the red-lined cloak inside. "This is going to be just like old times," he murmured. Guest TheFinalFan
((Dresden really needs to update this thing...))Â "So, I don't think we've properly introduced ourselves." A familiar voice booms from behind Zeth. The Leader is standing behind him."I have been locked up in the Facility's Hyper-Maximum Security Level, a n area of the facility known only to a select few, so I am unfamiliar with you all..." evilfusion
Startled by the sudden voice, Zeth spun around, instinctively raising his Duel Disk to chest level. He blinked at the Leader and narrowed his eyes. Had she really followed him here without him noticing? Then again, he had been enamored by the sight of his Duel Runner, still in excellent condition, and so his lack of attentiveness, while not excusable, was at the very least understandable. As she spoke, he couldn't help but notice from this distance that she was, to put it mildly, reasonably attractive, the thought aided by the revealing qualities of her outfit. He quickly dismissed such thoughts, difficult as it was. A man of his age did not take the presence of an attractive woman after 2 years of relative isolation from society as easily as those who lived in a woman-saturated society. He reluctantly lowered his Duel Disk arm, but did not relax. "No, I suppose we haven't," he agreed. Almost immediately upon meeting the Leader prior to the meeting, he wondered why she was put in charge. All the Dark Signers had acknowledged her as a superior, yet none of them seemed to actually know her. True, he knew she had the Condor mark, but from the flashes of history his Earthbound God and Mark had passed to him when he received them, he knew the previous owner of the Mark of the Spider had been the leader of the original Dark Signers. He wasn't bothered especially by this. He hadn't been the leader of the gang he had been in two years ago and he wasn't a leader now. Unsure whether he was supposed to introduce himself first or not, he was silent, watching her with the same wary expression. Guest TheFinalFan
"Well? You going to tell me about yourself, or are you just going to stare at me like some testosterone-crazed imbecile?" The Leader asked. She approached Zeth, until she was just within his personal bubble, and pulled her hood back, revealing a pale, angelic face with purple eyes and long, platinum-blonde hair. She also had an intricate pattern of Dark Signer tattoos on her face that seemed to extend to her body, and, in fact, did."Now are you going to talk, or am I going to have to get a bit closer?" evilfusion
Zeth winced. Terrific, she had seen him looking. To make things worse, she had moved closer and had lowered her hood, giving a less-obscured view of her face. It took him maybe five seconds to realize he was staring at her again. He coughed, mentally scolding himself to focus on her question, a feat made trickier when he realized what she had said at the end. His face flushed, but he stood up straighter. He was so unused to having any form of boss since being put in prison, and he had never had a female superior, so the whole situation was awkward mixed with a sense of being mildly inappropriate. "My name's Zeth," he began, taking a short breath to calm his nerves. "Been in the Facility for the past two years, in a high-end medium security section. My criminal expertise lies in robbery and potentially kidnapping as they go hand-in-hand, the difference being you take the victim with you." He smirked for a fraction of a second, his confidence returning little by little. "I consider myself skilled with infiltration, either subtle or not, and I am one of the ones who started the prison riot that enabled our escape. Anything else you wanted to know?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Guest TheFinalFan
The Leader smiled as she heard Zeth's story."Very interesting, Mister...umm?"Â "Hmm..." Blackstone Dresden
((What needs updating? Oh yeah, and for the effects, use the anime ones except Wiraqocha gets the OCG/TCG effect +1 card with the anime's S/T immunity. BFD's effect can go either way though, Y-tak))Â "Ooh, ooh, me next!" A female voice said, with an audible smile. When the Leader and Zeth turn around, they saw a distinctly feminine Dark Signer. She had discarded her robe and was instead wearing the standard female Dark Signer clothes, a two layered half shirt and a skirt with a flowing tail. However, she also had a featureless black mask on with four blue Criminal Marks, two diamonds and two stripes next to and below where her eyes should be respectively. Despite this however, the newcomer was reminiscent of someone from a men's magazine, the giant Giant tattoo on her arm notwithstanding, "You may call me Sayla, and as you can tell I'm the holder of Ccapac Apu, who was formerly held by some psychopath, and possibly someone before that, I was sorta daydreaming through the introductory video we got showed." Her voice still held that audible smile "And no, that's not my real name."
evilfusion
Zeth shrugged. "Just call me Zeth. I haven't bothered using a last name for years." Back when he had been in the gang, using a last name was an easy way to get someone to identify you later if they were eavesdropping or a double agent, so to speak. He had only gotten caught because some rat had led the coppers to the gang directly. And in prison, no one gave a damn what your last name was. They called you what they wanted to call you. He listened as the newcomer, Sayla, introduced herself, silently wondering how many of them had followed him to his warehouse. Sheesh, no privacy at all. He gazed back at the leader, making eye contact. "Introductions go two ways. Your turn."
Guest TheFinalFan
((We've started, right?))Â The Leader sighed, her plans thwarted as she turned to face her comrade."A pleasure to meet you. Now, what is your business? And why do you wear that mask? It's quite unnecessary..."She then remembered Zeth's recent question, and answered."I am Promethea, and I may not look like it, but I am 127 years old last October, last time I checked." evilfusion
Zeth turned his attention back towards his Runner as the Leader spoke to Sayla, his attention sharply refocusing on her when aware she was next addressing him. He blinked and stared at her, although it was more in surprise than his previous reason for doing so. She didn't look anywhere close to over 100. Hell, she could shave off a century from her age and wouldn't look like a liar. He considered asking how she could possibly be that old, but realized the question was rude, irrelevent, and couldn't be phrased in a way that didn't sound stupid. "All right," he said slowly, tearing his gaze from her. Wow, he was bad at staying focused today. He ran a hand over his Runner, brushing a cobweb from the body of the bike.
Guest TheFinalFan
((You can call her Promethea now, if you like.))Â Promethea turned back to Zeth."I can see the way you look at me. I can hear the thoughts running through your head, and I know what you are thinking."She raised her hand, and brushed his cheek with her fingers."You have been locked away for so long, and you can't remember the warmth of another human being.""I know what you are going through, and I am a kindred spirit. I have been locked away in one of the most secure cells on the planet for almost a century. I know your pain, and I want to help you."Â ((Wink Wink))((Hint Hint))((Nudge Nudge))
evilfusion
Zeth did the best he could to keep his face from burning crimson and for his expression to remain calm and collected. He failed in both respects and suddenly wished he was still wearing the Dark Signer robe to offer some form of obscuring veil to his face. Her fingers were very cool against his flushed face when she touched his cheek, which made him shiver slightly, either from her words or the touch, he wasn't sure. With what felt like a superhuman effort, he looked towards her, wondering both what she meant and why she was saying that. For all he knew, the other Dark Signers had been in prison longer, but then again, he hadn't been caught by a fault of his own, but because of a traitor. He coughed awkwardly. This would have been an awkward time even if he wasn't consciously aware that the masked Dark Signer with the Giant Mark was in the same room. On the plus side, the warehouse being so dusty really helped to distract him from letting his mind shut down completely. "Help how?" he asked. Didn't the Dark Marks provide enough help? He was free from prison thanks to his Earthbound God and could restart his career and make up for lost time. Then there was the matter of the Zodiac message he had received with his gift and getting too distracted would be unwise.
Guest TheFinalFan
((Is Zeth a moron or are you purposely making him not understand the innuendo?))Â Promethea groans mentally.Of all of the criminals that the Lord of the Underworld chose, he had to pick the ones who didn't understand sexual innuendos! Am I the leader of this group because I have an IQ 0f 212?!?She just grabs the back of Zeth's head, pulls him forward, and kisses him passionately for a few moments. evilfusion
Zeth was startled, but far from displeased, when Promethea pulled him into a kiss. Oh...so that WAS what she meant, he noted, too distracted to scold himself for acting so dim. It then clicked to him that if she had been imprisoned for nearly a century, as she claimed (he did not want to try to figure out how that could be possible right now), then she was probably a fairly lonely person as well. And it HAD been a while since he'd so much as touched a woman's arm, so a kiss like this was an alarming step forward. Not that he really minded. At that moment, the Spider mark appeared on his arm, startling him. He reluctantly pulled back and examined the mark. It was as if it was trying to communicate some message to him, but of what he could not be sure. Was it a Zodiac or whatever nearby? A Signer? Something else? Guest TheFinalFan
((What are you doing?))Â The Condor mark also appeared on Promethea's arm, which startled her as well as she broke from the kiss."Hmm...this is new. Blackstone Dresden
((Yeah, and I'm still taking suggestions for this RP's new name))Â "In response to your unimportant question, the answer isn't important because, as I already said, your question is unimportant." Sayla laughed "If it was, you wouldn't be kissing some guy you just met." She shrugged and looked down at her Giant Mark, which was either detecting whatever the Spider Mark sensed, was faking it, or she was just having a mild physical hallucination "So, Miss Promethea, are you sensing what we're sensing?" The masked girl asked.
Proto
"See you!" Victor said as with a swish of his long cloak he was gone at a instant, appearing nearby the trio grinned from behind the girl. "So, are you going to give us a bit of background to where the Signers or the Zodiac are or are we just going to keep up this social visit here." While his cloak was torn off, it revealed a pale skinned man with black eyes with a yellow pupil. His hair was oddly colored, one half a light brown, other a silvery white. The man was also donning a top hat as well as a brown suit with a tie. "So, is this some sort of new gathering? Anyways, Victor here, the wielder of Chacu Chalhua at your service madam." The man said with a tip of the hat, with a closer look at his arm it seemed that the mark of the Killer Whale was glowing rather harshly.
Guest TheFinalFan
"Please drop the 'Miss'. I'm older than your grandparents, you know." What that may be is anyone's guess."Â ((Seriously, what is it?!?))
evilfusion
Zeth studied his mark a bit longer, frowning momentarily at Sayla's comment and outright scowling when a FOURTH Dark Signer joined them. It was official, while the cops never found this warehouse with his Duel Runner, almost all the Dark Signers had decided to stalk him here. rather than follow Promethea's instructions to locate Signers or Zodiacs. "As much as I'd love to linger," he muttered to Promethea, "Perhaps taking a raincheck is better for the moment." He stood up and walked around his Duel Runner, carefully examining to make sure everything was in working condition. "In any case, it seems they want more information about our task," he replied, gesturing curtly towards Victor.
Proto
Victor toke another smirk under his top hat and said up to Promethea in a somewhat taunting manner "So heres my hunch maam, you see, last time the Marks only glowed when the Signer's Marks were starting to be Chosen and after that it was only when their marks glowed. So its obvious, the Crimson Dragon knows of our presence, he has Chosen some more Signers to fight us and the whole plan will soon be in ruins."Â "Anyways, you guys got some enemies now, so if we wait long enough those Signers will come to us." Guest TheFinalFan
"Understood." Promethea replied to both, seeming a bit disappointed at the failure to get acquainted with Zeth."Now, let's do what I asked you to do: find the Signers. Most of them should be in the city, but they might be scattered to the four winds, even on other worlds. Let's move! We're burning moonlight!"
evilfusion
Zeth nodded, but internally he was puzzled. How could Signers be on other worlds? A lot of good they were there. He began wheeling his Duel Runner out of the warehouse, passing the other three Dark Signers on the way out. "Shut the door on your way out," he told them. The lock was officially busted, so it really didn't matter if they did or didn't, and there wasn't anything more of great value inside that belonged to him. Once outside, he fiddled with a few of the Duel Runner's controls, making sure the systems were still in perfect working condition. The CPU was good, the acceleration and brakes looked fine and he knew the storage compartments were still working. Only things left to do was to test the autopilot and the handling. Zeth smirked and slipped his riding helmet over his head and started the engine of the runner. He couldn't help but wonder if he was going to be the only Turbo Dark Signer. As they all came from prison, he doubted whether most of them had Runners.
