Tourmaline
THE CREATION THEORY [spoiler=Prologue]PROLOGUE-----The StoryGuy----- It was raining. Heavily. The clouds almost pitch black...the wind was intense. A little girl was alone, in a forest. She had long, pitch black and blue eyes. Also a decent height. She looked about nine. She was running. Behind her were many shadowy figures. They were almost invinsible in the darkness of the storm. "What do you want from me?!" She yelled out, checking if they were catching up. They were. She knew she couldn't escape, not from anything as fast as these. Although she could not outrun them, she could hope. She gave up, and just stopped running. She slowly went into a ball. Shivering, the last thing she saw was one of the figures, jumping at her with a knife. The next thing she saw was a man. Well, not a man, but more of a teenager. He was about 16, and had long, brown hair. He had green eyes. Anyways, he blocked one of their knives with his own weapon. A double bladed sword. The blade itself looked like diamond, and so did the handle and the hilt. It was the only light that you could see in the darkness of the storm. "Pickin' on a little girl? Ungentlemanly, don't y'think?" He lightly grinned, slashing one of the figures along it's side. Another came from the right. He grabbed it's arm and pulled the knife it had away, throwing it at the first one's heart. Most of the blood had become hard to see because of all the rain. He impaled the figure with his blade, throwing the body to a tree, besides the girl. "Eeeeekk!!!!" She shrieked when she noticed the blood all over it's wound. The man turned towards the girl, dodging another figure who pounced at him, stabbing it's higher back with his blade. He kneeled down, offering his hand. He also covered her head with his weapon, letting less rain hit her head. "Are you ok?" He smiled as if nothing had happened. As a reaction, she stood up by herself, stumbling along the way. "Y-y-yeess..." She was shivering, and sounded scared, and remembered the figures. "W-what were tho-those?" She quietly asked, out of breath. "Those." He stood up as well, sheathing his blade and cracking his knuckles. "Those things just got their asses kicked." He chuckled, and noticed her childish frown, and went back to a more serious tone. "Nobody really knows what they are, but nobody knows what they do, either. A random day, after the sky blackened...they started appearing." Wondering what he meant by after the sky blackened, she proceeded to asking. "What do you mean by after the sky bla-" She was cut off. "The sky went pitch black. There was no light for minutes, and it wasn't a lunar eclipse." Next thing he knew, she was gone, probably off back home to go to bed. "The Creation Theory...it's probably better if I stay of those guy's cases. They're bad news..." He himself began walking back to the nearest village. Six Years Later That same man had been sitting under a tree in a nearby village. Little children surrounded him, sounding excited. "Storyguy! Tell us more stories!" They laughed, and were all eager for him to begin. He chuckled, leaning on the tree. "My name isn't Storyguy, it's Xander, Xander." He repeated, hoping they would understand. "Xander?" A girl asked. "That's my name. Anyways, who do you guys wanna know about?" Xander already noticed a few children playing with leaves, and a few others arguing. "Tell us about The Creation Theory!" Those kids decided on, since they were a group he had never truly elaborated on with them. "The Creation Theory?" He then crossed his legs and the children imitated him, wanting to know more. -------------------- "The Creation Theory believed that all life was created by a great beast that died thousands of years ago. The Creation Theory is made up of hundreds of fighters. The 6 more powerful are all distinguishable by wearing white cloaks, and huge books. Those books are said to be their weapons. All they must do is stab the book with a dagger. Of course, only specific daggers can do this, and they are given man-made versions." His throat dried up, so he took a bit of a break. "Storyguy? Have you ever fought one of them?" A little boy asked, fascinated with who these people are. "I have. Only one, though. He defeated me with ease, but back to the story...It was seven years ago. Seven years and two months from now. The day the sky blackened...I do not know for sure what that was, but they had to do with it!" He exclaimed, standing up right after, he heard one of their voices, and looked down. "What do they do these days, Storyguy?" Thinking back to a memory, he remembered the question. "They're probably trying to revive that beast I told you about. They're also trying to get more members. Lastly, they've apparently just completed a substance that will cure any injury or disease! Of course, they are also many research facilities in The Creation Theory, and they constantly look for test subjects yo advance their technology." He noticed it was one 'o clock. "Kids, I have to go save some princesses, and get told of by talking mushrooms." He ran away, ignoring their answers. It was a bright day, and he was on his way to the ruins of an old society. His true job was somewhat of a body guard for archeologists. The trip through the forest was long and difficult. He forgot to bring any drinks, and he was incredibly thirsty. A bush close by shakes, and he looks at it, alert of any sudden movement. He had unsheathed that same Diamond Blade. He noticed a bald head slightly above the bush. "A chrome dome?! It's probably one of those bandits." He was right. A small group of bandits had surrounded him. Being the temporary main character he was, he knew he would win. A large bandit with an axe closed in on him. The bandit slashed at Xander's right side. Xander jumped on the axe, and slashed the bandit's head at high speeds. When he reached the ground, before he had known in, two bandits were trying to kill him this time. One had a sword, the other used his fists, like a drunk idiot, though. Xander immediately stabbed the weaponless one, and attempted to stab the other one's chest. The bandit blocked with his own sword, and grabbed Xander's left arm, twisting it. "Ouchouchouchouchouch." Xander said faster and faster as his arm was twisted more. He used tgis chance to slash the bandit across the chest, making a "Z" in the progress. "Now when you're dead, people are gonna know Zorro was here!" He chuckled, throwing the bandit across the floor, he then stomped on it's stomach a few times, knocking the Bandit out. Xander was even more tired, and the heat of the day only made it worse. But...he continued walking. Soon later, he remembered who those people were! They were a group of mercenary bandits! The only reason why people like them are normally used are for killing and assassination. Xander had exit the forest, reaching the village with the archeologists who hired him. He read the sign, and apparently, the village was called Ruro. He chuckled...and waited.
