In pure badassery, the battle axe shall always win. Claymore coming in on a close second.

As for individual combat, you're really not going to be able to top a sword.

Against cavalry, obviously you're using a pike.

Against a mounted knight, you better be using a funking long bow if you want to live.

The point I'm trying to make is that all weapons have their merits, and it completely depends on the situation at hand.

But still. Battle axes. Vikings used them.

Religion' date=' you can manipulate the masses easily. >:3

[/quote']

Yeah, but there is no religion that I know about at least invented in the medieval times. All religions are either ancient or invented in the 21st century by new age and neo-pagan idiots.

Luciferianism was "invented" during medieval times.

Um...ok then.

J'aime la rapière! C'est une de mes armes préférées.

Really? I thought it was invented in England. Ohwell....

Still nobody voted for the fusion bomb?

The rapier was invented in Spain as more of an ornament than a weapon. It later branched off into France and England where they began being used as weapons for noble bodyguards. The main root of the rapier combat style was invented when the weapon was sent to Germany. There the Germans took the weapons potential to new levels and over time this superior technique was sent back into France. This is why the main use of the weapon was in France and Germany. I decided to type en français because I don't speak German. The weapon also started to be used in the Russian Empire during the Romanov Dynasty as well.

The rapier was developed almost a hundred years after the "middle ages" ended. And it wouldn't have been an effective weapon on a medieval battlefield anyway.

Death Metal: Varg IS a weapon.

A weapon against a god that doesn't exist isn't a very useful weapon at all' date=' now is it? =']

Varg is a weapon against the masses who believe in the nonexistent god.

I couldn't of said that one better myself.

Well done braa.

It's sad that we need weapons to fight against idiocy.

You are all wrong. The best weapon is the Spear and Tower Shield.

With this combo you get the phalanx of the spartan's that killed over 10' date='000 Persians

[/quote']

The phalanx is hardly all powerful, and most certainly was not medieval. And you do realize that the Spartans lost at the Battle of Thermopylae, right? They didn't kill 10,000 Persians, they just managed to hold them up for awhile (while inflicting unproportionally large damage).

Islam would like to have a word with you.

And as much as Christianity was misused in that time (which I'm sure it was plentifully), it was also a strong uniting force that held many factions together....more or less.

It was still not invented in medieval times, though it was heavily used. So no.
