End of Immortality [PG-16][Accepting/Not Started]

Note: This RP takes place on Earth, but in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy style universe. The technology level is more advanced then todays level.

 

Backstory:

This is Earth, or as it is reffered as by the Immortals: The Living Plane. Earth is the only thing that is between the two other planes; Eden and the Twilight Realm. Many millenias ago, a rip was opened between the Twilight Realm and Earth, and the immortal elves entered the Earth. The earthans, or humans if you like that word better, welcomed the elves as Gods, and this event ended in a hybrid of elves and humans, called half-elves, or Aurans. The elves, however, had another intention. They used Earth as a way to infiltrate Eden, where the peaceful Xalians, or Draconites lived. The elves told the humans and their sons and daughters, the Aurans, that the Xalians was the enemy and together with the humans they created portals to Eden. The Xalians, like any people, didn't want the elves to destroy their home and so the War of Ancient Times was unleashed. It ultimately destroyed Eden, which is now a wasteland with destroyed landscapes and the gravity is all messed up because of the elves reckless use of magic. After this war, few Xalians survived and the humans decided that peace should be upheld, and all four races got along on Earth. For years this peace lasted and Earth was built up to be a land of humans, elves, Xalians and Aurans. Untill the event that we Xalians call The Final Act...

 

The Xalians had for a long time had an eye for the elves' immortality, and the elves from the War of Ancient Times who was still alive was, in secrecy, not happy with the result of the war. The current Xalian leader, Lord Drakis, asked one of the elves to share the secret of immortality to the Xalians. The elves was not happy with this, but they, surprisingly, gave the Xalians the gift of immortality. However, not long after, the elves staretd a raid on the Xalians and killed 90% of the Xalian population. Both humans and Aurans saw this as an act of treason and Earth was purged from all elves. The few who survived fled to the Twilight Realm. Only after three month after the purge, teh true intentions of the elves was revealed. As well as giving the Xalians immortality, the elves had also steralized all of them, preventing them from breeding. Now, 5218 years later, only about 4000 Xalians remain.

 

The Plot:

With the Xalians on the brink of extinction, two groups has been founded, the Saviors and the Enders. The Saviors wants to travel into the Twilight Realm to get their hand on an artifact, called the Crystal of Xia'shira. This artifact is what is believed to give the Xalians and the elves their immortality, and by taking control of it they can use it to kill of all the remaining elves and then return to Eden to live as an immortal super-race. The Enders, however, wants to destroy the crystal to end all immortality and in that way give peace to the remaining Xalians.

Note: The Saviors is made-up by humans and Xalians, the Aurans is not welcome because of their connection to the elves. The Enders, however, contains all three races.

[spoiler=About Xalians, Aurans and elves]

Xalians is a people who takes great pride in what they are, even though the majority of the now remaining of them just wants to die. They look like dragonmen, sporting a leathery exoskelleton, three fingers on each hand and foot, and claws. They are originally a carnivorous race, but they have learned to live side by side with the humans and Aurans.

 

The first Aurans are offsprings of a human and an elf. The Aurans that live now is either a result of a romance between a human and an Auran or two Aurans (a human and Auran relationship always results in an Auran baby) The Aurans look much human, except for spiky ears and somewhat weaker physics.

 

Elves are pure energy that takes the form of humanoid races. They are able to breed with humans to create Aurans, but they are no longer allowed on Earth after the Final Act.
