O_o

I never knew that Injection Fairy Lily, Sangan and United We Stand were banned once and Lightning Vortex was limited once.

The game sure became something completely diffirent than it used to be.

Discuss the history of the banlist and the choices that Konami made back then.

Sangan and United We Stand were banned once

Which only goes to show that Konami has actually gotten less intelligent over the years. Of course' date=' we didn't actually need [i']that[/i] to show us that - the fact that the standards for the resident broken monsters have shifted from DMoC to DAD is proof enough.

Vampire Lord, Book of Taiyou, Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, Protector of the Sanctuary and Reflect Bounder have been limited.

All Gadgets, Good Goblin Housekeeping, Apprentice Magician, Abyss Soldier, Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow, Emergency Provisions and Marauding Captain have been semi'd.

Injection Fairy Lily was banned.

Wut.

I'm sure these made some sense at the time.

But wut?

No card has ever gone from Banned to unlimited, so apparently the guys at Konami aren't total nimrods. I can't believe it took 3 formats for them to realize that Disk Commander was as broken as it is... as well as (gasp) 9 formats to ban Dimension Fusion!!! Imagine if either of those cards came back now...

If Disk Commander came back, more people would try and run Destiny Zombies with DC + Z-World + Book of Life. As for Dimension Fusion, I seriously doubt that's comming back. Too many OTKs possible with it.

I also love how a couple of cards were created then immetiately declared illegal. What was the point of making those again?

They were used as Promos for the World Championships. That's it really.

Vampire Lord' date=' Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys.

Injection Fairy Lily was banned.

Milling an opponent's deck, easy beatsticks and self-reviving beatsicks and Spell/Trap destructions were a huge deal back then.

In my opinion, Fifth Gadget was never as awesome as Seventh Gadget.

For those who don't know: the names of the Gadget decks came from the proportion of the deck that consisted of Gadgets. In Fifth Gadget, nine of the forty-five cards were Gadgets, so exactly one-fifth of the deck consisted of Gadgets. In Seventh Gadget, six of the forty-two cards were Gadgets, so exactly one-seventh of the deck consisted of Gadgets.

im suprised that Delinquent Duo' date=' being banned for almost ever at the moment, was limited for a super short while......

and there was 3 cards that went from Unlimited to Banned..

and they were

*Drum Roll*

Chaos Sorceror, Cyber Stein and Time Seal.

A lot of cards have gone straight from unlimited to banned. Have you already forgotten Dark Strike Fighter?
