Yeah, so what do junior members do for you right now? Kaze, you should try ad develop a point system in our legendary cardmakers club, which tells junior members what they need to graduate into legendary. For example, you can host a contest for junior members and whoever wins will earn 1 point. When a junior member stacks up 10 points, theyre allowed to apply to become of legendary status. Yeah, just an idea...

Ok, the truth is, the junior members really serve no purpose. I just added the idea because I knew that I'd get 50 people asking a day if they can join the LCM and it would have been horrible for me to decline them all. Having the "Juniors" was meant to make others feel included, but I see that has failed. So, what shall we do to get every member involved in a single project (beside the Legendary Collection)?

There will be no point system. Those who create "Legendary" cards are based on my personnal opinion, the original Legendary Card Maker.

Like I said, I'm more than willing to fund contests, but since I already have 1 running, one of you will have to make it. A reminder that you cannot descriminate betweem Legendary and Junior members in contest, they are each treated equally in terms on competition.

Well, if you rate cards, I got 2 for you to look at, but I don't think any of the credit should go to me, it goes to Bloodrun, he pretty much made the grammar and the last part of the effect good. So, check them out:

oh, and yes, these are both contest entrys, and yes, I just gave all creditto Bloodrun:

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to your hand at the End Phase of a turn that this card was Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned. This card cannot be destroyed as a result of battle (Damage Calculation is applied normally). When this card destroys an opponent's monster as a result of battle, your opponent may discard 1 card from his/her hand, to return the destroyed monster back to their hand. If your opponent activates this effect, your opponent skips his/her next Draw Phase.

If your opponent activates this effect, create an exact token of that destroyed monster, and place it in your Graveyard. As long as the token remains in your Graveyard, your opponent must pay 500 Life Points to Summon level 6 or higher monsters to their side of the field.

You should read my first article about wording. Like “This card cannot be destroyed as a result of battle” should read “This card cannot be destroyed by battle.” It’ll help shorten the text.

Card 1:

“When this card destroys a monster by battle and send it to the Graveyard, your opponent can discard 1 card to return it to its owner’s hand.”

The card should only be able to return if its sent to the Graveyard, and it should return to its OWNERS hand. That is very important to include. You don’t want your opponent taking your creature swapped monsters.

Card 2:

Tokens CANNOT exist in the graveyard. This is a rule. You can have a card treated like that monster, but tokens are NEVER in the grave. It’ll cause controversy on rulings such as Hydroggedon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Barsam, you’ll be added to the list. Interesting card.

ARTICLE #2:

Expanding on Existing Ideas

There are many Card Makers, including myself, that pride themselves on creating new twists on the game and adding unseen strategies. But, this isn’t always the best route. If you are not naturally an “out-of-the-box” thinker, then focus your attention on strategies that already exist.

For example, “LV” monsters! I personally always liked the idea of LV monsters. But it seems like Horus is the only one that can really hold its own. So, how about some support cards?

- A field spell that levels them up after they destroy a monster.

- A nice counter trap, all themes these days have some form of a counter trap. I mean honestly, who doesn’t like saying, “Oh no you can’t!” to your opponent and flipping over one of these babies.

- Diverse LV monsters. LV monsters that have a choice between two individual forms of the same level. EXAMPLE: A earth-attribute LV3 warrior monster hits the field. During the End Phase of that turn, if he destroyed a monster by battle, his heart becomes tainted by evil and you can level him up to a DARK LV5 warrior. Or, if he doesn’t destroy a monster, his heart becomes pure and so becomes a LIGHT LV5 warrior.

These are just some examples, there are many more possibilities. How about a card that supports Hiro’s Shadow Scout? A set based on penguins like Crump had? Sea Serpent Support! The ideas may already be there, but that doesn’t mean they have reached their limit of perfection.

Do you see what I’m saying? Do you understand how nothing is fully complete, it can always be improved? Good, so do it for your own sets! Your sets that you have created are what I’ve been really talking about this entire time. First, plan ahead. I always type my entire set out first, then make the cards. Then, I’ll add in additional cards by stepping back and looking at what I have created. Just like how you’d improve on an existing idea in the game, improve on your own ideas. Treat your sets as if they were real.

I hope this helps!

Kaze' date=' if junior members dont do anything.... how do juniors show you their cardmaking skills in trying to be legendary?

[/quote']

Like I said, it's based on my personnal opinion. You have to create sets that I will feel will go down in history (much like Rudolph, lol) and are truly something amazing. Besides, Juniors can do anything that Legendaries can do (besides take part in the legendary collection). Including: posting articles, posting sets, giving advice, take part in LCM contests, etc.

can i join?

I'll add you to the list of juniors.

I need a bit of advice on how do I organize my sets for an archive if its not too much trouble >.>

You could look at my archive for an example. I would first divide them into two part, sets and single cards. Then further seperate the sets to the ones you have finished, and the ones you are working on, maybe even some future ideas.

Kaze, I know you are very busy, but I have a question...so we Juniors are only here to make everyone feel better about not being Legendary? That doesn't seem very good. So we're not here by invite or even recommendation-anyone can join even if they are terrible? I know you are busy (again), but maybe you could get someone to fix this? Because otherwise, even the noobiest of all card makers could join and wear our banner-which is supposed to be special, isn't it?

Secondly, since you are so occupied, how will you check everyone's sets that are good enough to "go down in history?" The chances of a Junior becoming a Legendary are low if that's the only way.

I am not criticizing the way you are running things-I couldn't do any better-but maybe you should get some of the other Legendary members to go out and sort-of "scout" through some of the Junior Members Sets. Just an idea....Thank you for your time.

Ok, I am not saying that everbody should be a legend, but it is, as Kaze says, that we juniors are here for he and the others not to feel bad, and that is just somthing I don't like =/ I'll stick around for a little while. But i'm just getting annoyed =/

Sorry for the stupid sob story thing, it is kind of spam.
