Long ago the Empire of Gannon covered over a large area and knew many times of peace and prosperity. That was until a mystical enemy whose name is unknown attacked the main city, killed its leader and brought the empiric state to its knees, and made it shatter into three kingdoms that each took in the same amount of land as the two other kingdoms. The kingdoms, Esyrios, Gonanel and Gremfhast. Up to this day these three kingdoms have still survived and brought the lands into even greater peril by waging war on one another and by using infernal technology. An underground group with the might of few wants to prepare the reunion of the three kingdoms to form the Empire of Gannon to its previous glorious state.
Esyrios: The Kingdom that embodies sovereign luxury. It is located in the most southern position. Most of its cities and towns are located at an oasis, this makes traveling merchants a rare spotting as every town and city have an infinite source of fresh water and fruits with diverse tastes. Its agriculture is probably the best in the land. Esyrios is ruled by King Nageos.

Gonanel: The Kingdom that embodies endless technology. Gonanel is probably inhabited by the smartest people in the land. It is almost located in the center of the once great empire Gannon. After the falling it is said that the smart and devious cousin of the Gannonian emperor, Gaer led a group of diplomatic and noble families out of Gannon's main city and settled in the next most secure place they could find, this is a highly celebrated event, that happens once a year. Gonanel is ruled by King Sontenon.

Gremfhast: The Kingdom that embodies brutal combat. Being located in the snowy, sub zero areas the people of Gremfhast are a hardy race, they believe that violence is the only, long path to inner peace. Though Gremfhast wasn't conquered by the Gannonian empire, they retook all their original bases and thus form the largest part of the land. They don't value beauty or currency, they do however value riches, good weaponry and good armour, Gremfhastian legends say that it was created by the fires of the legendary dragon Graumholld. Gremfhast is ruled by King Hodnor.

My name is Axil Gronheld, a trainee at the Warrior Guild in Gonanel. My mom always told me that i am a decendant of a noble man which had much authority in the old empire of Gannon and thus, it was my destiny to join the Guild and become a great warrior. Hmp, i always laughed when i heard that story, 'course, it couldn't be treu, but i joined the Guild at last, "It'll do you much good, kid" they said, when i first set my shaky feet in those halls... That was 6 years ago, and today's the day that i'll become a warrior.

"Wake up! Wake up! Time to face off against another day filled with physical pain, sweat and perhaps, blood!"

A loud and strong voice boomed across the sleeping room. The big man walked in with a torch and put aside the heavy curtains, which didn't let any light or whatsoever in the room, the sun was just starting to rise.

"Yes people! Today's the final for you all in this fine guild! Now hurry up and put on your clothing! The final test starts in merely 1.5 hours from now!"

The trainees all put on beige, with bleuish trim uniforms and gathered in the dining hall, they took place with a thin, iron plate in their hand that was only filled with a piece of bread, a cup of water and some vegetables.

'Did you hear what we're going to do?' One of the boys said at Axil's table, 'Yeah, it's gonna be pretty rough, at least that was what i heard master Charron say.' Another voice replied.

I'm kinda worried about it too... Axil thought as he finished drank from his water-filled cup Knowing the Guild they'll have something that far outclasses our skills. His added on in his mind.

Nearly all the trainees where finished with their breakfast as the booming voice from this morning sounded again.

"Everyone done?!"

"Yes master Charron!" The whole group including Axil said in unison and got up, following the big man outside.

Once outside they formed a square formation.

"Alright! As you all probably know you have all gathered here because the Guild has prepared one final task that will require utmost performance of the body and the mind, there will be those that will pass, there will be those that won't, and the Guild Master foresaw that only 1/3 of you all will succesfully get through..."

As soon as Charron took a breathing pause, someone of the trainees put up his finger to ask permission to talk

"Yes, Arsin, what's the question?"

"Uh, what's the thing we're going to be pitted against, sir?"

Hearing the question Charron laughed,

"Thanks for asking in advance, Arsin. We will pit each of you against Knight Goblins, seeing that each of you had proper training from me you'll eventually see that it's no problem."

'Knight Goblins?' 'Knight Goblins?'

The whole group was a bit terified when they heard what they would be pitted against.

"Don't worry, they aren't as hard as you think, plus you are going to choose a weapon of choice here, a bow, knife and arrows, or a longsword and a shield. We also want you to decapitate the beast and return its head to us! I will wait here until the most of you had returned. Now, grab a weapon and go into the woods. Good luck."

Charron went to the tower overlooking the forest entrance and took a seat. The racks where depleted one for one as the trainees went into the woods.

Alright, Axil, don't panic, just, parry stab and defend, parry, stab and defend. Axil thought as he entered the wood with his longsword in his hand.

Passing a couple of headless goblins, arrows stuffed up into the trees, ground and goblin bodies, he could also so robe tissues filled with blood on the ground.

Axil saw a heaped up pile of ground which he could hide after for the goblins

"Aaaaahh! Aaaaahh!"

Axil yelled as a lure for the goblins and jumped behind the small heap of ground.

It was already getting dark and almost everyone exept Axil was gathered with master Charron.

The needed thing arrived for Axil as a wandering Knight Goblin passed the heaped up mountain, as soon as Axil saw the goblin he attacked it.

"Shkraa! Shrubup! Shree!"

The furious Goblin was lunging and bashing into the shield of Axil with a big stick.

Wait... Wait....

He said in himself as he was waiting for the Goblin to open a way to kill it.

The Goblin was already getting but refused to give up, as soon as the goblin lifted his stick Axil saw his chance and cut through the neck of the Goblin.

Axil picked up the head and ran as fast as he could towards the location where Charron and the group was.

"Would you look at that," Charron said as he saw that the tired Axil finally arrived "and with the head too! This is terrific!"

Charron couldn't bother but to let out a laugh.

"Everyone follow me for your adventurous equipment!"

As soon as it was Axil's turn, master Charron told him to wait.

"Everyone, enjoy your last sleep here, for tomorow you will be free to wander the world as it was yours! Axil, the Guild Master wants to see you."

Axil followed Charron, as soon as they arrived in the Guild Masters quarter he could see a blood red plate armour with spiked shoulderpads.

"Axil, this armour belongs to you..." The Guild Master said.

"F-for me? Axil stuttered. "What could i possible have done to earn this?"

"From the minute you arrived here i saw you as a kid with the most potential, i would say even more potential as when i was a kid, so, thus i gift you with the armour i spent my youth with."

"T-thanks!" Seeing the armour cheered him up and he bowed as a gesture of respect.

"Now, now, you can try it on tomorow when you leave." Charron said patting Axil's back. "Go and rest, for the next adventure will be much harder than whatever the Guild's thrown at you."
