i really hope that this is a wip(work in progress)

because it really is just simple, i mean you have this great detailed backgound, with these very detailed shoes, but it looks like you rushed on everything else, the person in general has no shading on him but maybe very little, from what i can see

also your perspective of the person is just a little off with the forshortening of the legs, plus if the shoe were to fall off of his foot it wouldn't be in that position.

if you were to fix these problems it'd be a lot better

I do hope you're kidding. You do know that when a shoe falls it instantly starts spinning. The perspective of the person has nothing to do with the background because you could have a normal scene and someone with a weird perspective. I'd agree on the shading part. And no this is like 3 days work. Digital paintings are not that easy you know.

no i'm not kidding, although the shoe would start to spin it wouldn't be in that perfect side view position, it's be more of a three quarters view to the left. i was never talking about the person in correlation to the sky, i was talking about the persons position in general, his legs aren't foreshortened enough to make them look realistic. When painting digital it can be easy or hard it just depends on the artist themselves, i'm not saying that it's bad i'm just saying it needs a little more work, and more shading.

too bad.

Why post it if nobody knows whats happening

who says everyone doesn't understand it. What if its just you?

Anyway. Im just not feeling this one.But I know how you feel, as an artist, when you think so highly of a painting, but in another persons eyes, its just "ok". For a 3 days work I think it could have been better, and a little less simple. But What do I know about digital art.

This is simply amazing. The only thing i see that looks a little odd is the thing at the top. is it a parachute? or a shopping bag or something? its kinda wierd looking if you know what i mean. and if it was a parachute, then wheres his bag?

I want those shoes in real life pl0x

ideas and suggestions are welcomed.

funny. I'll stop posting my work here so I'd get less misleading comments.

Wow. So many questions.

Allow me to start with...

WTF? It seems by the first post of yours that you want to get better. The easiest way to get better is to pretend that everyone else knows more than you about the subject that has even the slightest bit of experience, and take their suggestions for a spin. You do the exact opposite, it seems.

I'll start off with the first picture. The perspective is...off. Although the perpective is only a little off, it set the entire picture off a lot.

His hand makes it look as if he's only hanging onto whatever is mostly out of the picture with only his index finger and his thumb, as if he can't decide to let go or hold on, or if he's standing on something invisble and just f@{king around with the strings on the bottom.

His foot is completely white, with no detail. This simply will not do for a finished product.

I see no visible light source, and I cannot tell where light is coming from.

Now, for the second.

This one is so much better. Both are great, but this one is especially fun to look at.

The perspective is much better - zooming and shading have seemed to help this a lot.

There is a visible light source, and the shading is nearly perfect.

The jacket's design is a little strange. The head looks a little too far to the right in this one. Also, the foot. Ah, the foot. There is a little bit of shading this time around, but no color. You really need to make that foot darker, not only so it doesn't look like a victim of bleach, but so you can see how far away it is from the light source.

Unless it is supposed to be a sock, in which case it is deformed a bit, and the colors and shading are a bit off.

Overall, you got a lot better the second time around. I hope to see more from you in the future. ^_^
