Black Whirlwind

is all im hoping for. thats not to much to ask.

Ironically' date=' this isn't such a bad proposal. I'd ban Vayu and Limit BfaDD while we're at it.

There's no way that Konami is banning JD. They'll never ban him until LS get a new Boss monster. They're limiting Lumina and Celestia and possibly banning wulf.

celestia IS a boss monster.

Not really... It's just a really good monarch.

To claim that Celestia is fine because she is just a "theme-specific pseudo-Monarch" is to ignore the very important differences between her and an actual Monarch. Monarchs' date=' by and large, are +0 and kill only one card by their effect. There are two exceptions, Mobius and Kuraz, but the differences between them and the other Monarchs (and Celestia) are clear enough that I will take for granted that you understand the difference between blowing up any two cards, blowing up only two backfield cards, and blowing up two cards but paying for them and not attacking. The difference between a +0 and a +1 is not nearly as small as it sounds - imagine how people would rage if a Normal Spell that read "Activate only if you control a "Lightsworn" monster. Draw 2 cards. Your opponent gains 1000 Life Points" were released. However, while this difference is significant in general, it is even more significant when it comes to field advantage. Assume that a reasonable field size is, say, 3 cards. Something like Caius or Raiza that clears 1 card still leaves the opponent with a respectable field; on the other hand, blowing up 2 cards leaves the opponent with next-to-nothing and leaves them wide open. In that sense, Celestia is taking up Judgment Dragoon's role of "Pop out, blow up field, attack for game".

[/quote']

For illustration, suppose 3 is considered a reasonable field size. Destroying one card leaves most of the field intact. Destroying two cards leaves most of the field... less than intact.

I still don't think it qualifies as a boss monster... It may be good (really good) but it's not in the same category as JD, DAD, Heraklinos, or Armor Master.

It is certainly not just a "good Monarch", in the same sense that Judgment Dragoon is not just a "good Cyber Dragon". As for actually being a "boss monster", I have no interest in debating the definition of such a subjective term.

JD at 1 and CotLB at 2!!

Beckoning still at 3 (not gonna blame this card because for its awesome use in LS)

I wanna Mezuki at 1 as well as Brionac because i hate Zombies!!

Also want the Summon Priest at 2 because Rescue Cat is at 1!!

Anyone thinks about Rekindling because it is awesome with LS and Flamvells in Grave???

I'm wondering whether Gragonith will see play once some of the other Lightlords are on the list.

No.

Don't be so sure about that. Gragonith-spam with CotH, Glorious Illusion, Monster Reincarnation and Beckoning Light, though currently outclassed, is still a strong deck.

Konami Worker 1: So...which decks are we going to piss off this format?

Konami Worker 2: Dunno...What about all of them?

Konami Worker 1: Not all of them! I still like Lightsworn!

Konami Worker 2: And I've still got a DARK fetish, so I want to keep Zombies and Blackwings alive.

Konami Worker 1: Well then. Let's NOT listen to smart people who are sick of them and do something stupid!

Konami Worker 2: Great idea!

Konami Worker 1: DERP DERP DERP

Oh, it gets worse, there's also this conversation...

Konami Worker 1: Hey, my tea leaves said we should switch the generic revival card again.

Konami Worker 2: But we just changed it last format and it didn't make a difference!

Konami Worker 1: Yeah, but we always do it when this happens, and it's not like the players are getting annoyed or anything.

Konami Worker 2: Oh good call, just for giggles, let's change it from Monster Reborn to Call of the haunted, even though both are totally broken.

Konami Worker 1: Well, It's not like we can make an un-broken generic revival card or anything...

Konami Worker 2: True, let's just keep switching between the original 3 revival cards to piss people off!

Konami Worker 1: Yeah, and let's not ban JD because it's the bosses favorite card!!!
