[AoC] New Section/Change Idea

So with clubs like RDA, IMCL etc. Would they be moved to Custom Cards Club Section?

 

And with the custom cards discussion someone should put up tutorials on how to get YVD & DMU.

 

I support the idea but would this mean you will allow more members to be a mod? because I think leo and bostige zuaberer would be good mods for the Custom Cards Sections.

The last idea is bad. A whole section just for that would be pointless, I guess people can use the discussion forum and get together there. The demand on AoC clubs is low anyway and if they want they can post in Clubs/Orgies.

 

But the others sound pretty good, I guess the discussion forum would be useful (I'd use that to discuss my member cards^^ instead of plopping the thread with "kk what kind of cards dyu want?, "dyu liek that?", better nao?").

 

Joke cards, if the demand is high enough then I'm fine with it. It'd be good to have a place for CM games too. With no post count, kinda built up similar to Games but not LIKE Games.

I don't see why CCDiscussion and CCClubs would be AOC subforums. It seems to make more sense for them to be sister forums in the overall CC area. I also don't really see CCClubs as being at all necessary; C&O is more than adequate.

 

As for joke cards, my personal view is that joke cards are stupid and terrible and don't need a forum to themselves. >_>

 

Basically, support CCDiscussion as a sister forum in CC (as opposed to as an AOC sub-forum) and oppose everything else.

So offer alternatives people. The idea as I said above is to have it as a "Custom Cards General Section". Just having a single subsection is a bad idea and unwanted if we want this to happen.

 

As for the discussion, it would be like CC-TCG relations etc. And god... Can you not read? it's all there >_>"...

We talked on AIM about the Joke Cards thing, it's unwanted but not entirely unreasonable. Especially if it can naturally expand. And eh... I said the last one is more of a toss-up anyway.

Yeah... About that chatbox, from what I've seen in the IRC chat test examples by members. It's nothing but a way to get people to start [insert word I cant find here] each other. Not a fan of it.

I like the CC Discussion idea a lot, I'd absolutely love to have that. It's a great idea that could work really well and make this site more about what it was designed for - the Card Maker.

Not stupid, unwanted. I made an analogy to the Unhinged Set from MTG, which was basically a series of playable Joke Cards. And the fact that they get NO attention whatsoever is a bad thing in itself. The same section would allow for CardMaker type games such as Dark Hearts Thread. Or did you not read at all my explanations?

Joke Cards can indeed be done well. The problem is that Sturgeon's Revelation applies more heavily to them than to anything else, so the 1% of joke cards that don't suck are buried beneath an infinite pile of the awful excuses for joke cards made by illiterate three-year-olds. The good ones will be horribly outnumbered by the absolutely awful ones to the point of being impossible to find amongst them - needle, haystack, et cetera - regardless of whether they're in a topic or a forum.

I think the ratio can change from 1% to about 10% (10x), if we work it enough.

I support this Idea completley, Especially the Discussion fourm.

The CCClub forum is not without merit but Clubs should be left in the Club/Org. fourm, as to not pile up and make things harder for CC mods. The discussion thread would be a good way for members who want to move to the Realistic section make the transition more smoothly and hhave to spend less time learning the current OCG. I don't thing a Joke fourm is required but if you make it a "Card Game" fourm then that would be more understandable.

OCG = Card Language. Sure the thread would be moved and Stickied there. But nothing else. Everything else would be comparisons and idea discussions.
