1st Attempt at using Photoshop 0.0

The actual current effect itself is kinda cool, but the piece is just a mess of filters and the colors are unappealing. Try working with different kinds of stuff besides just filters and brushes, like c4ds, effect stocks, and adjustment layers. And maybe try working with stocks before doing abstracts, or follow an abstract tut instead, Skyfire posted a good one in the tuts section, but it might be too difficult for you. (no offense, it's just an advanced tut)

Keep working, if this is your first ever try, there is obviously potential, however it is fairly messy and the colours are unappealing.

Also, don't be afraid to work with a render, I feel it's the best thing you can do as you will learn to work with rather than around renders if you begin starting with them. ;D
