carltonbert
I have a great idea for a video game but have little or no experience in programming or computers. How would I go about being a video game writer, like a screenplay writer? Is there a certain format that it would have to be written in for submission to an actual designer? Falkon 491
I don't think this is the right place to ask a question like that. Try google :D If that doesn't work, try searching for a job at Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony/any other game developer and ask them.

Metal Skull
Depends, how old are you?You suggest Sony, Konami, Sega, Nitendo, etc... to make a Video Game with your ideas or find some workers to work with you on your game.

Try google :D If that doesn't work' date=' try searching for a job at [b']Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony/[/b]any other game developer and ask them. Wut? The Big Three are publishers but they don't develop games. Study literature and specialize in screen writing. However known that being a video game writer is different from being a video game designer. Chances of a freelancer with no experience getting a job at a big time publisher are small. Very. Obviously. I was just throwing out suggestions without really thinking about it, and for that, I apologize. I will make a few new suggestions. Developers like 2K games, Irrational games, or maybe someone a little bigger like Rockstar, Infinity Wards, or Electronic Arts would be some good choices. Others would be Valve, Blizzard, Insomniac, Gamefreak, Epic, Ubisoft, and Namco. Or like the other guy said, just get some friends together and work on it yourself. Many great studios started off with only a few people before becoming famous (ever hear of Bungie? Check how they got started).
Cyber Altair
Capcom was also an indie company and that's the best place to start.
