Okay, I don't have any grudge against anyone in particular that is involved however we all know those people that like Negative Reps right? Well, I can guarantee if you check their Rep Record, they have reps saying crap like "I gave you this because you like negs". That's god damn Rep Spam. Hell, give me a Positive Rep saying "Because you like positive reps", why not!?

 

I just want to see who else supports banning negative rep spam. Like sure, people can still get negs if they want for winning contests, etc. but not for idiotic reasons such as "Because you like negs".[/align]

What do you mean there doesn't need to be a rule? That's just stupid. If there were no rules regarding on how to give out reps, everyone would just spam them at each other. You can't force someone to be reasonable so therefore, you need to rule to make sure they won't spam and whatnot.

Yes, but those people see Negative Reps as Positive Reps (maybe they like red more than green or something) so therefore, its like me asking for a Positive Rep and you giving me one just because I asked. That's rep spam.

 

Now that I've made the clearly obvious ...... more obvious, I'd like a mod to look at this. So far everyone that's posted has had a weak argument against this. I'd like to see if the mods support this -.-

That's the stupidest excuse thus far. Do you even know what "neg" stands for? Negative Rep. And if someone asks for a Negative Rep, they obviously think that Negative Reps are Positives and therefore, Positive Reps are Negative Reps for them.

 

 

I'm pretty sure those people know what negs stand for. And besides, it's fine if you want to give them reputation, as long as there's an acceptable reason, they deserve it.

 

I once gave reps to people for quickly-explored no reason whatsoever.

Because these certain users see negs as positives and other users spam negs at them just because of the fact that the user likes negs. If you honestly can't understand that' date=' then please don't post.

Yeah, there's reasonable people on YCM but then again, the reasonable/experienced members are outnumbered by noobs a hundred to one (which is actually true).
