Raizen nodded as they entered. Raikun was still yawning, but then he was able to put on a serious face

"If you have a fight coming up...Isn't that all the more reason to train?" he yawned still "And the fight that was going on...It was strong..."

Raizen figured that the 'fight' that they spoke of was probably the reason Raikun was on the roof this morning. Raizen also let out a small yawn

"But it's fine if Aura's still asleep, there are more ways to train, it doesn't have to be physical..." he yawned "We could always just help you devise strategies for beating your opponent..."

[Mr.WHAM]

"DAMMMITT KID!!! YOU CAN'T GO AROUND AND TELL PEOPLE CRAZY STUFF LIKE THAT!!!! YOU ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK JUST NOW!!!" Desoliv said, eyes bloodshot and his face raged like a demon's. Leax cowered back. Desoliv was scary, but he had agreed to help him in order to keep the throne in the Bell family, a family of kind kings.

 

"Deso, do you know anybody else with a Mamodo? I would barely be able to remember the others..."

 

"No Leax, I haven't seen any one else. But let's go to the park and sit around for now okay? This is a lot to wrap my head around at once." Desoliv and Leax walked out of the house, headed to the nearest park. 'Man, I know my ancestor Kiyomaro was a great man, but I rarely remember there mention of Mamodo. But, this all seems...nostalgic in a way. Like this was supposed to happen. What are you think Deso, you know that this, fight or whatever is only temporary, you'll be by yourself again. I shouldn't even help him or be his partner, but ..whatever.' Desoliv was silent as he approached the park. He saw a collection of houses, stopped and stared at them. 'Man I feel wierd already.'

Dan sighed and pushed his chair back in fustration. Sheets of papper littered the surface of the desk, the floor around it and almost every surface in ht eroom. The pages all held the strange script the mammodo used. Jio was in the basement practicing and training, leaving Dan to do the research on his own. With a wave of his hand, he sweep aside the pile that covered his computer and ran another comparison program.

He had hid himself from the conflict for the past couple days, using the time to perfect his understanding of Jio spells and try to translate the book, looking for words from the section he could already read and matching characters. He had little to show for his effort. So he tried a new approach; searching web archives for historical records of the script. That could take hours, if not days.

He sighed again. Nothing he could do about that now. Might as well rejoin the fight.

After escaping and infuriating Dante while in Battle, Nazo and Mei-li were at.....work."Why the hell do I have to be here?" Nazo asked, Mei-li smiled and simply stated. "Just because we're on this quest of yours doesn't mean I can just quit my job...besides...you should be happy, you discovered your opponent's weakness....he's a horrible drunk, and he is impatient..." Nazo was surprised. "You caught that eh? not bad human, you may work as a partner yet..."

Firofy - takes out pincers that are encased in a dark energy and starts assaulting the enemy.

 

Dirosin - summons a Dark Portal with his energy sucking in a single attack.

 

Birolick - A dark energy shark emerges from the ground and slams into the opponent causing a massive dark explosion.

 

Nirosiside - Shoots dark energy arrows into the sky where the come back down at a blinding speed.

 

Giganosirus - Makes a ball of Dark Matter and throws it at the opponent. It implodes at a controlled distance, destroying anything in it's radius.

Desoliv couldn't believe this kid. First he caught him in the shower. Now, he dove in to the lake and was wrestling a fish. There was no end to the torture. "DESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! C'MON....AND...HELP....MEEEEEE!!!!" Leax said in between dives underwater. Desoliv was considering walking away, but as much has he had gone so far, he just couldn't keep moving without turning around to leave the child. It was as if they were connected at a very deep level. Desoliv ran back to the lake and jumped in it, ignoring the onlookers. 'Eh, what's the worst that could happen...'

Zeroke looked at them with appreciation. He was glad that he had allies in this insane for the title of King. Even if he would have to fight them one day, he still enjoyed having them around. "Alright, do you have any suggestions for training?" Zeroke followed what they said, feeling better with each exercise they showed him. The work was tough in the harsh sun.He hears Aura finally awakening.

"What is going on?" She asked in a tired voice.

"Just a little light training. Want to join in?" Zeroke offers. All four of them work themselves till they couldn't get up. Zeroke felt refreshed when they were done...

Dante was still out there after the fight, so Saul and Billos took advantage of the situation. "Vessica!" Saul called from behind the Momodo and his partner, and Knives shot out of their shadow's barely missing their book. "Tsk. I missed." Billos said. He waited for Tasaki and Dante to acknowledge him. He would've taunted them, but being quiet was better. Saul nodded. He was ready to use Ingruo if needed. He hoped not, as iit was a new spell for them, but he might have to. Hopefully it would be warping between shadows, as Billos showed the ability to control shadows.

Desyoliv and Leax walked through the park, dripping wet from their latest escapade. Deso was still having trouble with Leax, when the Mamodo spoke up. "I'm no idiot Touchy-kun. I saw you about to leave me in the park. I'm really glad that you didn't though. I really do want to follow in my father's footsteps and become the king of the Mamodo World. This way he can finally rest from doing such a wonderful job." Leax looked down. It was the first time he had really opened up. Desyoliv looked down, not knowing what to say. He then tripped over some people who laid out in the park, tired.

 

"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to trip over you," Desyoliv said quietly.

Raizen and Raikun nodded as they glanced at everyone

"One more thing, tell us a bit about your opponent..." Raikun said, still studying the papers "I believe his name is Cogsworth..."

Raizen yawned as Raikun spoke. He was starting to get a bit tired, but he wouldn't rest until he knew exactly what to do. Raizen slipped his spell book into his hands and looked at the pages...Still...Only one spell. This frustrated him. This was all so strange...But in a why...Raizen was enjoying it.

The next morning, Kirimono was wondering about something. "Who was that?" Kirimono asked Zatch. "From what I can remember is that the shadow and its mamado were Dark Casters!" explained Zatch. "What are Dark Casrers?" he asked. "They are the very remains of the opposites of the original mamados and partners that have been possessed and consumed by Darkness and the very elements of evil," explained Zatch. Kirimono believed that what the Dark Casters are can be the possible end of the Mamados and a birth of possessed Mamado opposites of the originals and take over the Mamado world with an iron fist.

[Zeroke]

Zeroke thought back to when he first encountered Cogsworth and James. "They did not seem to enjoy the fighting for the title of king." He said when he began to think of their faces on that cool, summer day. He remembered how he spoke; it was a voice of emptiness. All Zeroke could do was remember that voice, it echoed throughout his mind.

"Zeroke, are you okay?" Aura asked, worried.

"Yes, I'm fine." He replied in a raspy voice. "...We better head up there, where their waiting." Zeroke picked up the spell book that lay in the drawer next to him. He, and Aura stood up and began their walk to the door. Raikun and Raizun started walking as well. "No, I don't want anyone else interferring. Stay here." Zeroke commanded them.

As the door closed, Raikin and Raizun stood there...

Desoliv walked away from where he was feeling, strange again. Leax followed him, empathisizing with the situation. "Oh man, I feel it to Deso, there are other Mamodo near here."

 

"Why can I sense them?" Deso asked confused.

"I don't know, maybe you've been able to do it. Or maybe it's because we are closer than either of us think. Regardless, I think you can find them."

 

Desoliv looked at Leax in disbelief. He knew that couldn't be the reason why he had felt this. He ignored his partner, he guessed, and kept on walking. Eventually they came to a house and saw four people in front of a door. Then two off the walked inside leaving the other two to stand there. "That's WRONG!" exclaimed. "How can you leave someone you know at your doorstep??"

 

"Leax I don't think its our--" Deso began, but it was too late. Leax was already banging down the person's door.

Raikun shook his head slowly as Zeroke and Aura left.

"Cmon, Rai..." he sighed, heading over to the window. Raizen looked at him with a puzzled face

"Where...?" he asked, a little afraid of hearing the answer. By this time, Raikun was squatting at the end of the window, ready to jump.

"...Baka.." Raikun sighed "Were going to awaken the 2nd spell, get it, human?"

Raizen let out a sigh as well, as he exited the house, taking the door, unlike Raikun. Without any other warning Raikun jumped out the window and met up with Raizen. They walked in silence towards an empty field.

"I believe it's time to go now isn't it? your shift is 5 minutes past woman...." Nazo stated, though she kept going in and out of the kitchen. "Sorry.....Nazo....but....I have .....to....fill....in....a...friends....hours....." she said as she entered and then left, and then entered again. "And how many times do you fill in for another?" he asked, not amused with how easily she submitted to her "friends". "I don't do it often...."she was panting, catching her breath while she waited for the next order. "Where does this one live at." he began wondering what these people did with their spare time. "oh, they all took off today, so who knows..." he smiled and walked over to the emergency calls list, in case she needs help, he looked up the addresses. "okay...well, I'll be back, don't overwork yourself woman." she smiled. "sure thing." she ran back into the kitchen for another order.

Raizen and Raikun both turned to look at the strange people at the door

"Who are you...?" Raikun asked, his voice cold. Raizen didn't say anything, instead, he tried to examine them. Wondering if they could be friend or foe, Raizen stood in silence, his hair looming over his face.

[Mr.WHAM]

Leax stopped banging on the door long enough to answer them. "Hiiii!!!! I'm Leax Bell. And this tall, dark and not so handsome boy here is Touchy Takamine!" he said pointing to Desoliv. Deso looked at Leax with that same enraged expression and punched him in the head. "MY NAME IS DESOLIV!!!!!!" Calming down, he grabbed Raikun & Raizen's hands and shook them. "I'm sorry about Leax, he's...umm passionate at times. May I ask what happened to you two?"

Raikun sighed

"Mamodo, no doubt..." he muttered, letting his dark and irritated facial expression show "And an annoying one too...My damn luck..."

Raizen looked at the strange people and then decided to introduce himself

"I'm Raizen Osia..." he said, forcing out a smile. Raikun, on the other hand, was not even polite enough to try and force out a smile

"I'm Raikun...The Shadow Mamodo..." he muttered.

Raizen turned to him

Shadow Mamodo...? He never told me....

[Mr.WHAM]

"I'm glad they didn't pay attention to my last name...I wonder if father is in this competition this time. I hope he is, as it will make this more fun." Leax had intended to say that to himself mentally, however somewhere inside of him, the difference between mental and mouth got mixed up. So it was only natural for Desoliv to respond to this. "Who is your father, Leax?" Leax appeaered shocked as he again said aloud, "THAT'S AMAZING! Can Touchy read minds too? I know he smart but that is crazy!!! If he did that would explain why he's glaring at me..." Desoliv was glaring at him. "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU!!! MY NAME IS DESOLIV!!!!!"

Raizen and Raikun stared. Raizen seemed amused with the preformence, but Raikun seemed completely annoyed.

"Lets go...We have things to do..." Raikun muttered to Raizen. Raizen nodded hesitantly. Within no time at all, they were already gone.

Minutes later they arrived at an empty field. A place were they would not be spotted.

Zach woke up from the tree he slept on the night before. He was such a free spirit. But not too much that he was a hippie. A cloaked figure lay beside him. "Gah...Finally you woke up Zach. I've been bored this whole time you were asleep." Zach stretched and yawned.

"Yeah..good morning to you to buddy." He said with a yawn. He got up and lifted the book out from under his head.

"I'd appreciate if you didn't use my book as a cushion." Aero growled.

"Well that sucks huh?" Zach chuckled.

Aura and Zeroke walked through the town, night approaching soon. Neither spoke a word as they made their way to the barren park.

Both of them observed the battleground closely: The park was far from the city, so it was deserted. There were hardly any trees around, making it just a great big grassland. The landscape was flat, allowing you to see for miles. "It's so beautiful." Aura whispered.

"Yeah..." Was Zeroke's answer. The sun gave it the perfect shading, making the entire field glow a mixture of green and red.

Zeroke spotted their foes, Cogsworth and James. They were sitting on the grass, staring at Zeroke and Aura.

"Didn't think you were going to show." James said as he pulled himself up. His face showed no signs of fear, neither did Cogsworth. "Ready to start?"

"Yup." Zeroke replied. "Let's get started..." He and Aura took a stance, showing they were ready to fight.

"Good." Cogsworth said. "Let's start at the count of three." They made a stance as well. "One..." They opened their spellbooks. "Two..." They focused on one another,ready to pounce. "Three!"...

Zach stood up. As did Aero. They walked on opposites sides of the tree and saw two humans, two mamodos, and two spellbooks. "Gah!" Zach almost shouted before covering his mouth. Aero looked at both competitors.

"Looks like they're about to duke it out," he said with a smirk. "Wonder who'll win." Zach shrugged.

"I don't really care. As long as the winner doesn't come for us next...after all you only know one spell."

"Don't remind me.." Aero said with a sigh.

Leax & Desoliv had just exited a restaurant when they saw the scene before them. Deso was about to walk away, when Leax grabbed him."Touchy!! Look up in that tree. There are two people there! C'mon let's go talk to them!" Leax ran away before Desoliv could object. "Hey you two!" Leax said. "Why are you in that tree!!!!!!???"

Zach looked towards Leax. Aero looked at the Mamodo. "Are they talking to us Aeron?" Aeron growled.

"I told you to call me Aero!" he said making his claw turn purple before putting it back in his black cloak. "I don't know. But it looks like it..." he said with a sigh. He jumped down from the tree and landed. Zach followed a bit clumsily. "What do you want?" he asked with a shout. Aeron pointed towards the Mamodo.

"And what are your names?"
