leoluiz
"So, we are seven champions? Not missing anyone? Then I ask you a question that I believe that everyone wanted to make, even for a moment, but no one made." He paused. "Why us? There are so many people in Hylure, then why us?" he made another break but did not wait for the answer "I know that you could call up an army to defeat Ganon, so why we? None of us can compare to an army. So I think there is a reason we are all here together now. "
Saiba Aisu
OoC: Aqua Girl, his name is Lorenz, not Laurence. === "Hm?" Princess Zelda asked, turning from the bickering of the other Champions to the diminutive Skull Kid and smiling slightly. "Didn't you hear what I just said, Skull Kid?" she asked gently. "I don't why destiny has chosen you to lead this crusade to restore balance to Hyrule, specifically... Just the manner in which you must go about doing it. I am almost certain that when I read the Oracle of Fate, it mentioned no less than seven Champions. And yes, you're right, the Royal Family could muster a sizable army if they wanted to, I suppose..." An expression of deep sorrow worked its way onto her young features, making her look much older, as if the shadows of the world had aged her. "But that's exactly the problem," she continued after a moment. "Where is the wisdom in launching a crusade against intangible shadows? There is none—or not, at least, in the eyes of the rest of my family, who are content to stay behind the gleaming white walls of Hyrule Castle and lead lives of seclusion, pleasure, and enlightenment. It is shameful, the way the Royal Family has been neglecting the land for too many years. I intend to change that." "You'll have to forgive me," Erzet said flatly, crossing his arms and addressing Princess Zelda like an equal, "but I'm not finding myself too particularly inclined to partake on this 'quest'. For starters, I'm no subject of yours, since the Gerudo Wastes are far from the populated regions of your kingdom, meaning that you have no authority over me. And secondly, even though I personally dislike the King of Evil, he was originally of the Gerudo Tribe. What makes you sure that we, his own people, are in danger from his return?" Princess Zelda sighed, pulling back a golden tress and tucking it behind her ear absentmindedly. "Yes," she replied, "it's true that Ganon was originally of the Clan of Thieves in the savage wastelands to the west... But you are forgetting Nabooru, the Sage of Spirit. Even though he was their crowned monarch, Ganon always knew where the true loyalty of his people lay, and that was with his Second-in-Command, Nabooru. When she awakened as a Sage and used her powers to help seal him away in the Sacred Realm, there was no doubt left in Ganon's mind of her intentions, or that of his people, who had been preyed upon and brainwashed for too long by his minions, the Demon Witches, Koume and Kotake. While I cannot be certain, it is highly likely that Ganon has no love for the Gerudo anymore—it is clear from his actions in the past that he would willingly sacrifice any of them in order to further his own aims." She paused and clasped her hands, matching Erzet's catlike green gaze with her own gray-blue one. "But in regards to your other comment... Then yes, you are no subject of mine, and as such, I cannot order you to participate on this quest. The only thing I can do is appeal to you as a fellow inhabitant of our fair land, which will be destroyed if balance is not restored to Hyrule. Far off as your desert home may be, it will not be immune to the spreading darkness—eventually, the evil will reach the Clan of Thieves, and they will not be spared." Andx
"Don't talk to me like you know me Raven! I'm not running from anything. The Zoras don't want to see me again, so it's only natural I wouldn't want to see them. You think my going to Zora's Domain would make the quest easier but in reality it will only complicate matters. You can take your preaching and your ideals elsewhere. My future will be fine without your advice. Now kindly stop speaking with me. This conversation is only going to anger me further and I'd prefer to keep fighting out of this temple." Lorenz said."He has no idea what's happened to me. He hasn't been rejected by his entire race. He's still an adventurer with grand dreams at heart. He ignorantly thinks that all of us can hold the same grand ideas he does." Lorenz thought.Lorenz walked quietly over to the opposite end of the group. He approached the wall, leaned up against it and shut his eyes. He didn't want to bother himself with anything else from Raven or Mira. Again he was sure he would be able to hear the princess. The closest person to him was Billos, and even then 'close' wasn't exactly accurate. Lorenz knew if anyone, Billos wouldn't bother him. He began again to listen for whatever else the Princess had to say, though memories of his past he thought he'd put to rest were all coming back up. Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=OoC] Alright, everyone, this GM post will mark the beginning of the arc consisting of the first set of three dungeons, to which you will be divided into groups of two-three. Please, do not argue with me concerning the people in your group, as the dungeons to which they will be journeying have been specifically constructed to their abilities. The journey to react the dungeons will be a long one, so make sure you RP it realistically and in detail. GM Post: Hyrule Castle Town, Temple of TimeGM Post: Hyrule Castle Town, Temple of Time "Fine," Erzet said, every line of his body indicating haughtiness and scorn. "I'll go along on this quest of yours, but only because you've managed to convince me for the moment that it's in the best interests of the Gerudo." Princess Zelda nodded and smiled, pleased that the thief had decided to lend his efforts to their crusade. "I am grateful, Erzet," she said. "I know that members of the Clan of Thieves do not generally lend their talents to helping others actively, but you are doing the right thing for your people, I promise you." She straightened, and with a gentle flick of her wrist, the blue nimbus floating around her palm, which had been illuminating the area, disappeared, leaving the group in the twilight shadows of the Temple of Time once more. "I think we have stayed in here long enough," she said, drawing her hood over her face again, concealing her remarkable beauty once more, until she could have been any other of the countless citizens conducting their business in the streets of Hyrule Castle Town—which was, no doubt, the reason why she was doing it. Satisfied that her identity would be properly concealed, Princess Zelda beckoned to the assembled group imperiously. "Come," she said, moving towards the heavy doors of the Temple and somehow opening them with a gentle pressure from her outstretched hand, allowing the golden sunlight from outside to filter into the musty interior once more. "There is someone I would like you to meet before you begin your respective journeys... I am certain that this person will be able to better prepare you for the struggles that lie ahead." The Princess glanced from side to side outside the Temple, making sure that it was safe to proceed. There was no sign of the Guards who had been pursuing Sariri, Erzet, and Skull Kid, nor of the crowd who had gathered earlier to watch the aerial battle with the two Demon-Keese; the Wolfos appeared to have disappeared, but they were resourceful creatures, so Skull Kid was not worried—the Song of the Wolf would summon him in an instant. The courtyard housing the Temple of Time seemed as deserted as ever, save for an occasional beggar shuffling along down a narrow side alley. They certainly made an odd group coming out of the abandoned chapel: first came Princess Zelda, graceful and noiseless in her cloak, then Sariri, looking excitedly about her with red-tinged eyes, followed by Erzet, his thief's eyes wary over his gray scarf, and then Skull Kid, chattering excitedly behind his mask. Then came Lorenz, looking slightly irritated and dried out, then Mira, her light purple skin shocking against her white hair, followed closely by Raven, her husband, then came Deralen, and making up the rear, Billos. "Follow me," Princess Zelda said to them, leading them forwards without looking back.
Hydra of Ages
Sariri hummed to herself with the same oddly birdlike tone she usually used while excited, both her arms held behind her back as she hopped with a hint of excitement. She glanced over furtively between the cloaked Zelda, whose eyes she could not see, and the stoic seeming Ezret, who still seemed wary despite having given his word he would aid the princess. She giggled at the thief, once again sounding like chirping. "Don't take it to hard, Ezret." she said with a smile. "After all, no good adventure goes anywhere without plundering some ancient temples. It's just like stealing Rupees from places her in Castle Town, except nobody cares if you kill the guards and the people you're stealing from are dead. It's a victimless crime, I'm surprised more thieves don't become heroes." she said, still with a note of excitement in her voice. Adventure always made her feel giddy, and an exclusive voyage of which only six others would be privy to simply made her gleeful. "So, where are these places we're going to be traveling?" she said, pestering Zelda. "Are they, like, near any big landmarks, or way out there in the Wilderness? I hope they're in the wilderness. Don't be afraid to give me the one far in the wilderness, kay?" she said with a slightly giddy smile. She would have flown if she weren't still a little tuckered out from her previous flight. Guest Tainted Black
Billos walked up next to Lorenz as they were leaving and stayed there. "Hey." He said quietly, "Ignore the idiot love birds." He said no more as they walked in silence. His cloak almost tripped him once, but he was otherwise fine. For some reason, he could not leave, though he wanted to. Instead, he struck up a conversation with Lorenz. "So," He began, "Why do the Zoras hate you? Can't have done worse than me." He had mumbled the last part. He half-hoped the Zora wouldn't reply, but he pushed the thought from his mind. Hopefully, he would be put onto a team with Lorenz, who seemed more like himself than the others. Especially the lovers. They made him want to chop their blocks off when he looked at them. Aqua Girl
"L-Lorenz..... I....." Mira shut out all sounds, she silently shifted her fingers. "Lorenz I didn’t know you carried a burden like that....." Mira thinks, while walking towards Lorenz, she stops in front of him she stops shifting her fingers, she gently touches Lorenz's chest, a necklace of ice appears on him, and she gives him a soft smile and says. "This Necklace will never melt or break, alas it takes a heavy toll on the one who uses it, it greatly reduces my magical power, it is considered a great honor too receive this from some one, it practically mean I consider you a great friend. Raven's earrings are made of my magic too" Mira places a gentle hand on his shoulder.
leoluiz
Skull Kid was very excited, everything was contributing to his happiness. The fun Persecution that almost ended the chances of him helping the Skull Kids, the battle against the moblins and now a quest in a faraway place. As much fun it was to him, he could only thought that the princess did not tell them where they would go and who would be their partners. He hoped Deralen be his partner, but would also like to Erzet or Sariri as partners. He hated the idea that perhaps Bilos was going to be his partner, but hoping to Deralen be his partner. Once one thing came to his head, "Where are we going?" he asked
Saiba Aisu
Erzet restrained himself from rolling his eyes at Sariri's remark with great difficulty. "There's no challenge in stealing from the dead," he scoffed, "or in defiling sacred places, however old they may be. I know that I certainly wouldn't hesitate to slit the throat of anyone who dared steal from the Spirit Temple in the Desert Colossus..." Princess Zelda's reply came at once, in a low, swift voice unlike the tone she usually used when speaking. "We're going to visit an old friend of mine," she replied, leading them down a complicated maze of alleys into the prosperous depths of Hyrule Castle Town's Mercantile District. There were fewer people here than there had been in the Market District, and they seemed considerably better dressed. "He's one of the few people that knows me as Princess Zelda outside of the Castle... I'll explain exactly where you're going once we've reached the safety of his shop. I assure you, Sariri, you'll get the excitement you're searching for on this mission—that and more."
Shadow Zero
Raven said nothing, but stayed silent and kept his peace. He was still mulling over Lorenz's last words to him. His own people didn't want him?! He couldn't imagine the pain of being an outcast. Something like that was something he knew that he could not give n answer to readily. He did know one thing though. If he was made an outcast from the other Hylians, he would have had a much darker aspect on life. At best, he probably would have found and made a home in the Dark Tribe if he had still ended up there during his travels.
encapturer
Deralen kept quiet as the group walked through town, trying to look inconspicuous. The fact that the one leading them was deliberately hiding herself didn't help matters. But still, that was *the* Princess Zelda who was leading them around! To create a new Triforce of Courage! This was something you could only read about in legends! Now that he knew what needed to be done, he could not just say no, something like this would be bugging him for the rest of his life if he just up and left. He thought about saying something to cheer up Lorenz, but it seemed like Mira did so before him. Truthfully, he was reluctant to actually talk to him, since he tends to shy away from people who brood like that. He actually wondered for a moment if he would accept Mira's gift, or scoff at it. He soon turned away from that scene, preferring not to think about Lorenz at all at this point. Glancing around, he noted that the few guards did not notice him. Most likely, it was because he was curled up for pretty much the duration of his run through town he could move around freely, for now at least. That, and now they were in a different district they were in. He looked down at his blade-gauntlets, which were still in good working order. If moblins, or other monsters were to show up, he'll definately need these to cover for his inexperience.
Andx
"Mira, not now! Though you may consider me a friend, I regret to tell you that I haven't had a friend for three years. I can't just take this symbol of friendship; it would drive me mad." Lorenz said as he took the necklace off. He handed it back to her. It might have been harsh but Lorenz hardly cared at the moment.Lorenz followed the rest of the group as they began to the location of Zelda's friend. He was in the back of the group when Billos asked his question. Lorenz was a bit more open to talking as only Billos would hear what he had to say. Though the fact that Billos had taken the initiative to talk with him was a bit surprising."The only thing I did to warrant their hatred was that I voiced my opinion. I told them what they didn't want to hear. Once the king makes a decision it's like they don't have minds of their own anymore. Anything I said was only met with mockery and insults, both to me and my family." Lorenz said. It was all the details he cared to give. He wanted to get off the subject and so he hoped they would reach their destination soon.
Aqua Girl
Tears welled in Mira's eyes, though she did not live in the customs of her tribe anymore she still understood, in her tribe rejecting something like this wasn't something some one would be offended by. Rejecting something like this is like some one making a ring from a piece their soul and offering marriage and being rejected. Mira had offered Raven his earrings as a wedding gift. Mira distraught by Lorenz she picked up a piece of grass and played her song but it was different, Her horse came but she had a large bag with her, and had brought Raizen. The two horses quietly troted along Mira and Raven. Shadow Zero
Raven was highly offended that Lorenz had been so insulting as to refuse Miras gift, and not just that, but the way he had rejected it as well. He understood that Lorenz may not have understood, but it was still hard to see that he had done something like that. If not for the fact that they were fellow champions, he would have taken off his armored gauntlet and slammed it into the side of Lorenz's face before tossing it down on the ground in the Hylian fashion that is used to challenge someone to a duel to the death. Not wanting to allow his anger to take control, and also not wanting Mira to be alone with her sadness, he moved closer to her and placed a comforting hand on her far shoulder after she had called Raizen and Frost Shard over to them. Saiba Aisu
"Keep up now," Princess Zelda called over her shoulder to the others, her voice muffled by the hood over her face. And then, a moment later, "We've arrived." They came to an abrupt halt in front of a cheerful-looking store, cleaner than most other establishments in appearance; a wooden sign above the door identified it as "Lokiri's Shop for the Brave" in Hylian characters. The only strange thing about the store was the incredibly large purple-colored bird, similar in appearance to a condor or eagle, that was perching on top of the building's roof peaceably. "I recognize that bird," Erzet said under his scarf, green eyes thoughtful, nodding at the balding fowl who was dozing happily, feathers ruffling slightly in the warm, sunny breeze. "Sariri," he turned and asked of the Rito girl, "wasn't that the creature you and Skull Kid were pursuing earlier?" Princess Zelda stopped and smiled slightly beneath her hood at the sight of Lokiri's purple-feathered pet, although no one noticed her expression. "Don't mind the Takkuri," she said, moving forwards into the cooler confines of the shop, motioning to the others that they should follow. "It's been with Lokiri for as long as I've known him; he certainly looks fierce, but he's actually a gentle creature once you get to know him." The inside of the shop was as pleasant and well-kept as its exterior—the walls were painted a fine, crisp purple shade that matched the feathers of the Takkuri roosting atop the building almost exactly, the wooden counter in front of them was neatly organized, with a few sheets of parchment stacked into orderly piles, and the stone floor beneath them was swept clean and polished. Everything in Lokiri's Shop for the Brave seemed to have an assigned place strictly for professional value, but also somehow managed to add to the charm and color of the establishment. Although there were common items arranged purposefully around the room—such as sturdy steel shields, swords, finely woven cloaks, or bundles of arrows, such as any traveler or warrior might need—it was clear that the shop also specialized in a few arcane items, as well. A small pot filled with bubbling scarlet liquid scented the shop with a faint and pleasant aroma of cherries, and several glass flasks filled with similarly-colored potion lined the walls, although there were one or two that were a deep shade of green. Several tightly-shut sacks were piled in one corner, bulging with mysterious circular items, and a single glittering white shield, embossed with the crest of Hyrule in red, commanded a place of honor from a shelf directly above the counter. Although the shop did not appear to be overly large, its merchandise indicated that it was considerably more prosperous than would have been expected. Behind the wooden counter, there were three doors, perhaps leading to storage areas. Princess Zelda sighed in exasperation, lifting her hood slightly to reveal her fair, angled face and gray-blue eyes. "Lokiri must be working in the Storage Rooms again," she said to them, moving gracefully in a swish of skirts to the counter and lifting up a section of it, allowing her to pass. "I'll be right back with him," she continued, eying the assembled group sternly. "Please don't go anywhere until I've returned." And with that, she opened the far-left door and disappeared past it, leaving them alone for the moment.
leoluiz
Skull Kid was near the door when he hears Erzet say something about it, Sariri and a bird, he comes back to where Erzet was when said that. "It's him, the damn bird that stole my flute earlier." he remembered the bird that attacked him, seeking the flute, then remembered the bird falling to the ground near the moblins, "So he survived the fall, and the music should not have affected it." He looked back to the bird and went into the store with others. When Zelda left the store he walked to where they were a few arrows. "These arrows are much better than mine." he said taking a small wooden arrow, its tip was of stone instead of iron.
Shadow Zero
Raven stayed where he was with his arm around Miras shoulders, quietly looking around the shop. The item that caught his interest the most was the shield behind the counter, of which there was only one of its type. He had only heard about it in descriptions before, but he immediately knew that it was the very same shield that the hero of time had used. Although he knew that they were here for other purposes, Raven couldn't help but think that that Hylian shield would be of great help to him on the quest of which he shared a part, and wondered if he might be able to convince the shop owner to allow him to purchase such an item in which he seemed to hold in such high regards as to its value. encapturer
Deralen immediately took to examining the wares the shop sold. There seemed to be a good assortment of items here, though none of them would be of any use to the him, he figured. He was either too large to use these effectively or they would get in the way of his rolling, sometimes both. As he continued to eye the merchandise, he eventually found something he could use. He even had a few on his person. There were small, miniature black spheres with small lengths of rope extending out of them, fashioned after flowers grown on his home, Death Mountain. "Oh great," Deralen muttered to himself, obviously not pleased with what he saw. "Bombs."
Proto
Lokiri was busy placing some of his supplies, the Deku's must stop attending him with those crude Nuts of theirs, while some of the stranger lot enjoyed them, they were much to much trouble to keep stock onto. When he with a large amount of effort with his slender arms, he managed to fit the bags of Deku Nuts into the large barrel in which he had decided to best put them in. Suddenly his ears perked, there was slight chattering going on inside his store, while ignoring it slightly he heard a footstep behind him and turned around with a sort of grimace on his face. "I am afraid that these reserves are only for the employees young sir, I am afraid that you must lea-". At this point Lokiri's expression changed to a look of surprise, his red eyes darted from his intruder's gray-blue eyes to her firm look. He then began to simply lose words for several seconds before grinning a broad smile. "Why if it isn't you Your Highness! Its unusual for you to come to my wares now no? What do I owe this pleasure to." He then caught a glimse of a particularly large Goron outside the door's opening and said "Why you have companions! Guest Tainted Black
Billos huffed. "Pompous rulers who won't step from their throne. Idiotic followers. This is what we live in. Wonderful, isn't it?" He said, not sounding sarcastic, but being it. HE walked along, hoping he wouldn't ask him his story in return. If he did, he would answer, but he did not want to tell it. He groaned at his past, and took a quick look at a scar on his arm. This one was one of the worst. As they walked into the shop, he looked around. He saw the same shield that Raven did, but he knew more about it. "It's a Hero Shield..." he thought, "One of the maany... they made quite a few of these in case Like-Likes ate them." Saiba Aisu
"It's good to see you, too, Lokiri," Princess Zelda said, smiling at the Rito salesman. "As you can see," she continued, indicating what could be seen of the group assembled outside, "I've brought you some important customers. You remember what we discussed last time, don't you...?" She leaned in slightly and whispered into the Rito's ear, and his red eyes brightened with recognition and understanding. "Ah!" he said, looking more closely at the people gathered in his shop. "So those are the seven Cha—?" Zelda nodded her head, placing a hand on Lokiri's shoulder, indicating that he should be silent. "They're ready to depart on their journeys," she said. "I thought we'd take a moment to stop by your shop—it's one of the few places where we'll be able to discuss their missions without fear of being overheard, and there's always the chance they may buy one or two things to make the traveling easier. Let's go, I'd like you to meet them." She gently but firmly grabbed Lokiri's hand and dragged him out of the darkened Storage Room into the shop, where the others were waiting expectantly. "Everyone," she said, indicating the bright-eyed Rito man to her left, "this is the owner of the shop, Lokiri. If there's anything you feel you may need for your upcoming journey, I am confident he will be able to provide you with it."
Proto
The ruffled Rito was slightly confused about all of this, but one cell attached to another and he decided his approach. "Oh, hello, gentlemen and ladies, I have been informed by this young lady here that I am to supply you with what you require!" While retaining his look as a proffesional man, he then said "Help yourself to what you require!" he then added with a whisper and a large grin "If you pay the right price of course". "Anyways, I have been told that due to the circumstances your mission breifing will occur here in my settlement. So with no further ado I must take this back to Princess Zelda." The giddy salesman quickly walked past the crowd of heros and carefully adjusted his sign from the wall, replacing it with sign marked "Closed until further notice". Giving his bald feathered companion a stroke on the head, he walked back into his store and shut the wooden door behind him. He then noticed a member of the crowd gawking at the pale shield that layed behind his counter in awe. He walked up to the fellow and said happily "So you like my Mystic Shield do you? Well it isn't much but its my best product so far!" OOC: Pfft, you really thought I would bring out the Hylian Shield that easily! Andx
Billos's response was interesting. It seemed Billos understood, probably better than Lorenz did, the feeling of rejection. Lorenz could tell Billos was hiding a far more painful past then his own. However Lorenz didn't pursue it; it didn't seem to be wise to ask about it. It was odd to Lorenz that Billos was talking to him. At first Billos had given him such a glare it seemed as if he would sooner kill than talk to someone. The group then headed into the shop and the Rito who owned it had appeared and introduced himself. Lorenz looked around the shop. It had a wide variety of very curious looking items. Though only some of them seemed particularly useful to their quest. Lorenz might have considered buying something except for the fact that he would have no way to carry it conveniently. Lorenz traveled as light as he could, even clothing was heavier than he cared to travel. His desire to travel light was helped by the fact that the gem on his right arm covered weaponry. Lorenz moved to a nearby chair and sat down. He would continue to look around to see if anything interested him, though he doubted anything would. He saw small group crowding over a shield but he already had a shield of his own; it seemed he would just wait as the others finished shopping. He tried to ignore how dry his skin was as it seemed they would be moving again before too much longer. If anything Lorenz bet his foul mood was due to the lack of water he'd been exposed to today yet he seemed to hardly feel bad at all about having offended two people. Hydra of Ages
Sariri's eyes grew wide as she examined the objects that littered the walls of the shop, scrutinizing them with childlike curiosity. She had been momentarily paused by the great bird that was not a Kargaroc sleepily making his perch on the shop, but got over it quickly; Her excitement wasn't about to be dampened by any little grudge. "Ooh, bombs." She said with a slight smile. "Kinda remind me of home..." she said, cocking her head, recalling the crop of Bomb Plants that grew around the perimeter of Dragonroost mountain. That said, she wasn't the type to feel nostalgic (and indeed, she would be an idiot to carry around bombs in a mail satchel while flying), so she quickly moved on to examine the rest of the objects. She made a show of examining the cloaks, lightly rubbing the material, though she shrugged afterwards, moving on. As a Rito, she was always concerned about the weather and how to protect one's self from it, though she still hadn't found a cloak or coat light enough to fly in as strong and durable as her own Mailrito clothing. She wasn't surprised the uniform was popular with Rito outside the post service including herself; Nothing else quite shed off the rain or winds, nor was soft and caressed her skin without chafing it during long flights. The extra wide sleeves were also appreciated, since they let her use her wings without having to remove half the cloak. Sariri moved onto the bubbling potions, blinking and watching them stirr. They seemed like the kind of things she had seen now and again, and she caught the pleasant whiff of cherries from one of the crimson bottles. She smiled a little bit; Health Potions worked on minor injuries and returned the vigor to one's tired muscles. Naturally, the Rito Post Office gave out free bottled rations of the stuff to its employees every week; With a nicely sized flask of Health Potion, some Rito could fly for weeks before dropping dead. She mentally considered buying one, until she realized that she didn't have a flask to keep it in safely, nor any Rupees on her; The rude Forgemaster had drained her of the dregs of her funds, and she hadn't caught any of the glittering blood rupees that Erzet had dropped. "Seems a little rude to charge the saviors of the world full price for stuff that would help accomplish that goal." she muttered, glancing from the side of her eye over at the member of her own species from which they were buying from. The Rito's bright orange eyes were currently sparkling with the prospect of a sale of a strange-looking shield upon the wall, a look she had seen more than once in the Bazaar only an hour or so ago.
