Hydra of Ages
[spoiler= Sunken Skull Post]Sariri sighed as she glanced around a bit. The stagnation around her was starting to wear her down a bit, not to mention the ridiculous smell; she expected the entire dungeon to reek of rotting flesh, and was unpleasently suprised that it simply had the scent of stagnation. Evidently, whatever was down here rotted past the point of disgust, to a bleach-burned white. Nothing of any life was left here, not even carrion. Shaking her head, she briefly walked up to the plaque that was before her and Erzet, disgustedly shaking off pieces of oddly colored mud from her talons that she had to focus on ignoring in order to keep her food in her stomach. She examined the hylian characters with a trained eye, hmming after a while. "All the skulls to every man's destiny?" she said skeptically. She glanced around, and sighed when she looked at the leering visage of the skull at the ceiling. "Given the apparent outlook on life this temple has, I'm inclined to think that that hideous thing is apparently every man's destiny." She crossed her eyes and gave a slight smirk. "Probably a good thing I'm a woman, then. Oh well." She unhooked her Grappling Hook from her waist again, and leaned to the side cockily while twirling the item from her fingertips once more. "Those bars look like perfect targets for my Grappling Hook." she said nonchalantly. "I doubt I could get any airtime in such a cramped space like this, without any wind, so that's probably the only way we're going to get across those platforms.". Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=Sunken Skull Dungeon Post] Erzet nodded his agreement to Sariri's remark and cast an appraising eye to the horizontal bars, which really did look like the perfect targets for her Grappling Hook. Although they seemed sturdy enough to support a considerable amount of weight, many of them were set directly above the murky, stagnant water beneath, where nameless horrors were no doubt lurking. If Sariri should fall, there wouldn't be anything for her to grab on to, and she wouldn't be able to fly to safety. It was as the Rito had said—the damp and cold air in the Doomed Gateway wasn't exactly the best thing for gaining altitude, so for the moment, she would have to depend upon her arms and legs for movement, like most other mortals. He focused on the bar above them, noting its height with a frown. Even though Sariri was quite skilled with the Grappling Hook, no matter how well she threw it, she would still have to climb a fairly long distance before she could align herself successfully with the first of the gleaming white-bleached platforms. Although he knew that she was remarkably tough for her size, the Gerudo highly doubted that all but the strongest of Rito possessed the upper body strength required to accomplish such a feat. And in that moment, he knew what had to be done and made his decision. "Sariri?" he asked her, nodding at the slender horizontal bar. "I know you're good with your Grappling Hook, but I think I'd be better-suited to using it in this situation. No matter how well you throw and tie the knot, you'll still have to climb up a fair distance, and your lighter body will have trouble generating enough force to propel you to the platform, even if you do manage to get up there." Erzet spoke in an unmarked tone: although he knew it was a serious thing to ask to borrow the weapons of another—in Gerudo culture, weapons were considered an extension of the body and soul, not just tools of violence—he was confident that Sariri would be able to correctly interpret his request and realize that he did not mean any insult. [spoiler=GM Post (Dream Dungeon]GM Post: Dream DungeonGM Post: Dream Dungeon The three silver wolves blinked and staggered slightly at the bright flash of light and the lowered temperature that accompanied the exploding Mystery Ice Seeds. Before they could regain their balance however, Raven sprang into action, swinging the Noble Sword in a forward slice. The blade cut neatly through and deeply into the left shoulder of the closest wolf, who half-collapsed to the ground and gave an eerie howl that raised the hairs on the back of one's neck. The howl seemed to snap the other two silver wolves out of the brief paralysis and confusion that the Mystery Seeds had induced, and at once they moved forward, surrounding Raven and their injured brother. The two uninjured wolves growled angrily in their silver throats, black eyes narrowed with murderous hunger; the Mystery Seeds had taken them by surprise briefly, but it seemed unlikely that such a trick would work more than once. With each passing moment, their stalking forms drew closer and closer to the Hylian knight, and the circle they were pacing grew smaller and smaller—any moment now, the wolves would gather themselves and attack at the same time. Their lithe, muscular forms were tensed and ready to spring, meaning that Raven would not be able to make a dash for it: as soon as he presented an opening, one of the wolves would be upon him, tearing and snapping at his legs and back with its fearsome jaws. If Deralen didn't do something quickly, it appeared that Raven would become the Cursed Portraits' newest meal. encapturer
*Clank-Clank* The two blades from Deralen's weapon flipped outward and locked in place. The sudden appearance of the wolves caught him off guard, and he could only watch as Raven went in and killed one of them. Of course, the fact that Raven was in trouble now woke Deralen out of his daze. After readying his gauntlets, he did the first thing he thought of; he charged towards the closest wolf. There was no element of stealth in his movements, after all, his heavy steps would give him away even if he tried sneaking. Deralen closed in to his target and went to tackle it to the ground, where it would be easy for him to kill it with his blades.
Shadow Zero
Seeing that Deralen had moved in on one of the wolves, he took this chance to fire another mystery seed from his hand cannon, this time using its fire ability so that It would explode in flames on the wolfs back if it didn't get out of the way in time. At the same time, he dashed over towards the other wolf and brought his sword downwards, aiming for another killing blow. He didn't know whether or not this would decide the fight. All he knew was that in order to proceed forward, he would have to end this fight. Aside from that. he also felt that it needed to be done as quickly as possible, given that If the Dream Dungeon wasn't dealt with, there was every possibility, at least to his mind, that whatever curse lay upon the Dream Dungeon could grow strong enough and reach far enough to start affecting anyone within its range, starting with the people at Lake Hylia. Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=GM Post (Dream Dungeon]GM Post: Dream DungeonGM Post: Dream Dungeon The threatening growls of the wolf closest to Deralen transformed into a pathetic canine whine that was cut short as the Goron tackled the beast and slammed it forcefully to the ground—as the two combatants hit the limestone floor, there was a brief whistle overhead followed by a crackling roar as Raven's Fire Mystery Seed missed its target and burst against the opposite wall. The silver-colored, lithe wolf didn't look half so frightening as it tried to escape Deralen's brawny clutches, yelping in terror and thrashing frantically. Despite the writhing of his opponent, however, the Champion managed to hold his grip, and with a bracer blade-edged punch that would have given even the toughest of Moblins something to think about, drove his weapon deep into its side. The creature gave another anguished howl; before too long, however, the eerie noise had been replaced with a choking gurgle, and then an all-consuming silence. Even though his initial projectile attack missed its target, Raven kept his cool and didn't waste any time on regrets—springing forwards away from the beast he had injured, he swung his sword in another dangerous strike, directly downward, intending to slice the wolf through. With a snarl, the remaining wolf sprang aside nimbly, teeth bared. Raven's sword swiped harmlessly through midair before the Hylian Knight checked his momentum and pulled short, gathering himself into another combat stance, ready to deal with the last enemy. Raven and the wolf circled each other—the wolf's jaws were snapping angrily and covered in saliva, its eyes were filled with burning hatred and hunger, while Raven's stance was calm and perfectly focused, the Noble Sword in his hand shining with a brilliant light. The Champion knew that there would be no time to reach for his Seed Shooter and loose another burst of Mystery Seeds; if he broke eye contact even for a moment or moved suddenly, the wolf would be upon him like silver lightning. Shadow Zero
Raven slowly sidestepped in a circular motion As the last silvery wolf did the same. Ravens normally kind green eyes were completely devoid of warmth, and were instead cold and calculating. He was analyzing the enemy in front of him, deciding which course of action would be the best to take with an expression and manner that was devoid of emotion. Not since a time long ago had he entered his battle state, yet he sank into it as easily and readily as though he were donning his cloak. Continuing his circling motion, Raven tightened his grip on the hilt of his blade with both hands. One sudden motion, and the wolf would be on him in a flash. Well then, since this beast is so hungry, lets give it something to chew on. Raven broke the circling motion and took a quick leap back before charging forward and plunging his blade straight towards his foe in a stabbing motion. encapturer
Deralen picked himself up once the wolf was down; there were still another that needed to be downed. He only hoped that Raven was dealing with it so that he wouldn't get attacked from behind. Fortunately, he was, though his gaze was steady. That unwavering expression was one Deralen never saw before. It made it seem like Raven had his share of battles, and Deralen hoped to become experienced like him as well; after all, if more fights were to come, he needed to toughen up. Instead of acting, Deralen moved to a vantage point where he would be able to assist Raven if needed. While he was sure Raven could easily defeat a lone wolf, who knows what abilities that wolf had. Just like in the races, gotta be ready for anything...
Hydra of Ages
[spoiler= Sunken Skull post]Sariri blinked at first as Erzet as he was speaking to her, her mouth tilting downward into a frown as she listened to her request. At first, she almost held her grappling hook close to herself, like a mother cuddling its child- Rito people, on a whole, were a somewhat material race often deeply partial to inanimate objects, to the point where they'd carry them everywhere. Many Rito, including Sariri, were particularly attached to the Grappling Hooks they'd carried since even before they obtained their wings, to the point were they disliked being parted from them for even a short amount of time. Sariri was able to get over this, mostly at least, to the point where she even trusted human blacksmiths to fix it when it got too damaged, but the idea of lending it to someone else still put a bad taste in her mouth. The fact that Rito were deeply protective of their metalworking techniques and had been taught often to never lend their hooks to members of other races didn't help either. It took her only a couple moments to get over this, and hesitantly offer the hook in a free arm while averting her view. She trusted Erzet enough to know he'd respect it, plus she could tell that it would be far easier for him to go through the course. Giving it a cursory look, she figured she could probably due to it if she put her (stubborn) mind to it, but while it would take a grand effort from her, it was right up the thief's alley. "Just don't slip." she ordered, a hint of a teasing in her voice. "I want this back." OOC: Aqua Girl and Andx still haven't responded. Marsuvees will be gone until roughly the 6th of April, and has requested we don't kick him out of the RP due to that.

Mira said in a happy but tired voice, she wouldent let her screw up get the others down and posibly hinder their progress, Mira threw a flask of water at Billos and Lorenz, she then threw a healing potion at Billos, "That potion will not completely heal it but you'll be able to walk." Mira began to walk to the door leaveing the others, Mira wobbled and almost fell over but managed to recover her footing, she then walked up to the dor and through miraculus strength for being exausted she pulled open the rusted over old door. Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=GM Post (Sunken Skull Dungeon)] GM Post: Sunken Skull DungeonGM Post: Sunken Skull Dungeon "Of course," he said, taking the weapon from her and swinging it back and forth experimentally, testing its weight and balance. Satisified that the Grappling Hook would be suitable for what he had in mind, the Gerudo inclined his head slightly, indicating that he knew how significant of a gesture this was—and of course, the thief wasn't exactly planning on putting it to waste. "Alright, then," he said to her, looping the rope into a loose coil with one hand while the other swung the hooked end of the weapon in a circle. At the apex of its curve, he released it—arching gracefully through the air, the metal hook shot over the horizontal bar above them, curling on the expanse of rope until it came to a halt, at which point the metal hook caught firm hold. Erzet tugged lightly on the rope and then with more force, but the bar didn't budge. Without wasting time on any sentimenal phrases, the Gerudo took firm hold of the rope and moved back a few paces before springing across the muddy ground and vaulting over the watery expanse. For a moment, it seemed as if he would plunge into the murky water, but the Grappling Hook held true, and using its momentum, Erzet was able to cross the gap and catch hold of the gleaming white surface of the first platform. Although he was slender, the thief was an accomplished gymnast, and his arms were well up to the challenge of pulling himself onto the platform, whose surface was oddly slippery. He turned and tossed his head slightly at Sariri, as if to say, And that's how how it's done. He snapped the rope and tugged, and with a clanking noise, the marvel of Rito engineering dislodged itself from the bar and dropped, where he quickly reeled it in and back into his grasp. Erzet looped the weapon back into a coil and began to look around systematically, searching for some kind of clue as to what to do next. Directly in front and to the right of you, the ground transforms into a mire of murky and treacherous water whose depth is indeterminable. Although you can make out an unlocked door to the right across a wide expanse of the stagnant water, it does not seem currently available. Across from him, the wolf mirrored his movements, every muscle of its lithe body tensed underneath its glistening pelt of silvery fur. Without warning, Raven sprang forwards, sending his sword whistling through the air in a lightning-fast stabbing motion; at the same time, the wolf exploded from its haunches towards the man, claws outstretched, jaws snapping angrily. For a moment, everything seemed to be a flailing chaos of claws, limbs, a flashing blade and the wolf's oddly cold breath. Then it was over, and Raven was standing up, wincing slightly at the shallow wound that lined his left arm from where the beast had managed to score a strike. With the last of the Cursed Portraits defeated, the corpses of three silver-colored wolves seemed to shimer before dissolving into the ground, as if they had never been. There was another muffled roar—such as the ones that the Champions had come to associate with transdimensional activity—followed by a bright stream of light that gradually dimmed as the Silver Pedestal burst into life, ready to provide a way back to the Waking World. Shadow Zero
Raven winced a bit at the pain in his forearm, but he was able to take some small comfort in the fact that he wouldn't have to deal with the pain for long. To him, at least, the wound would disappear when he re-entered the waking world. It would be as if the wound had never been, and he could continue onwards to finish the quest that he and the others were on. Nothing seemed to happen as the wolf died, but he and Deralen both heard the sound that meant that something had happened in the waking world as a result of their actions. Firmly swing his sword down and to the side so as to get the silver wolfs blood off of it, Raven sheaths his sword with a determined look over at Deralen. "Lets go." was all that he said to Deralen as he ran to the silver pedestal and jumped onto it, stopping as he reached the center and preparing for his journey back to the waking world. encapturer
Deralen nodded. Killing these creatures did... something, of course. Whether all they accomplished here was killing these creatures, they will find out soon. Before walking over to the pedestal, Deralen examined his blades a moment before closing them back onto his arm. Unlike Raven, he wasn't too worried about the blood of his enemy lingering on his weapon; he figured it'd be gone when they awoke, anyway. As he joined Raven on the pedestal, Deralen thought about what was coming up next. "Heh, Maybe we'll go upward next time in the real world," he joked, knowing that the temple itself is already quite high up on the mountains. "Guess we'll find out soon." Hydra of Ages
Sariri shrugged with false nonchalance at Erzet's jump, hiding the fact he had mastered the Rito's signature weapon so quickly. "Not bad." she commented. "Not great, but hey, you made it." she said with a hint of a smirk, which faded as she glanced around the murky and dank room for some sort of hint to their next movement. "Let's see..." she commented to herself, recalling the words on the plaque. "All of the skulls point to every man's destiny..." she muttered aloud, glancing up at the Gerudo. "Hey, do you see any more skulls up there?" she called. "Or any way to change the direction of that big one up there? Because I'm pretty sure we need to rearrange SOMETHING in here to get past..." she muttered. She glanced over at the platforms. "Or maybe you can get somewhere just across those platforms and grappling bars, I don't know. I don't have a great vantage point from down here." she commented with a shrug, inwardly aware of the irony of Erzet having more altitude than she did. Andx
[spoiler=ooc:] Sorry about the long stretch of inactivity. I'm not sure what happened. Regardless I'll try to be active again from now on. IC: Lorenz's fins hit with his usual accuracy, right on the mark. Despite not having thrown them for a long while he hadn't lost the accuracy the military training had beaten into him early on in life. The projectiles done, they began to return from the peak of their path. The came back, still traveling at the same speed, and reconnected to Lorenz's arms, a feel he still didn't like."That worked.... oddly enough. I could've sworn for a second something worse was going to happen." Lorenz said, mostly to himself. As he looked around he noticed a lot of the surrounding plant life reeling back, almost like the sphere had been the rooms source of life. As the plants receded Lorenz took note of two large stone... doors was all he could call them. They looked quite firm and then Lorenz took note of actual doors in the stone structure and then a third door still alive with plants. It was odd, the rest of the room had died with the sphere except that door. Perhaps there were other such spheres in the dungeon? More odd than the new look of the room, Mira was up and walking towards him."Mira, are you okay?" He said as he took a few steps toward her. She seemed sort of distracted or out of it."Is something wrong?" he asked with some distance still separating the two.
Hydra of Ages
(OOC: *facepalm* Grah. Aqua Girl, there IS no south door. You're inside the South chamber! If you went any farther south, you'd be leaving the dungeon! The available doors are North and West, with an Eastern door existing but blocked off.) Billos watched passively as the large sphere died against Lorenz' sharp fins, and grunted noncommittally to himself. He glanced around as the vegetation appeared to die along with the sphere, gears whirring in his head as he contemplated that. "Apparently, that sphere had a purpose beyond summoning allies." he mused, more to himself than to anyone else. He grabbed the water skin and potion tossed to him by Mira, taking a swing of the former and a sip of the later. The potion tasted vaguely like cherries, though it was in no way pleasant, but he put it away afterward, corking it properly. His wounds tingled as they slowly healed, as she stood up. He watched Lorenz and Mira from a slight distance, crossing his arms as he allowed them to choose their next destination. (OOC: From hereonin, I will only be controlled Billos during battle and if absolutely necessary. Just assume that he's following behind Mira/Lorenz at all times, not doing anything in particular. Obviously, Marsuvees will control him again when he returns.)

Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=GM Post (Sunken Skull Dungeon)] GM Post: Sunken Skull DungeonGM Post: Sunken Skull Dungeon "Damn," he growled, frustrated when he realized that even from up here, the Doomed Gateway looked much the same as it had from below—dank, filthy, and confusing. The thief leaned back against the stone wall, his legs dangling over the edge of the polished white platform—to his surprise, he did not feel the smooth, dried surface he had expected, but a sharp corner pressing into his side. Turning curiously, Erzet saw a small square-shaped hole in the wall, no larger than eight inches in diameter. Flipping over on his stomach, he peered into the recess, and his sharp eyes caught a flash of white in the gloom—it was another skull, this time human-sized, set atop a stone pole. A feeling of relief and success flooded him as he remembered the words of the clue, and he felt ashamed for not having realized it earlier. The Gerudo took a steadying breath and reached into the little shrine with both hands, his fingers grasping in the darkness. They closed firmly around the smooth, dry surface of the skull and with tentative care, he lifted it off the pole and turned it downwards, so that its empty gaze was facing the ground. With a faint feeling of disgust he pried open its jaws and closed them around the pole once more, leaving the skull facing downwards with the pole between its teeth. He withdrew his hands and waited with baited breath for something important to happen—fortunately, he did not have to wait long, for at once, there was a low rumbling sound and the pole sunk slowly into the ground, as if a hidden mechanism were drawing it in. Erzet got back up and turned to Sariri, who was watching curiously, having heard the noise as well. "There are skulls in there," he explained, drawing the Grappling Hook and turning towards the next horizontal bar above him along the wall. "They're set on some type of pole—all I have to do is open their jaws and place them facing downward." With another masterful flick of his wrist, the thief sent the hook sailing through the air to latch firmly onto the next grappling point. He tested its firmness and then swung forward—this time, however, the platform was still above him. The Gerudo waited until his momentum slowed, and then began climbing slowly up the rope, its rough surface reassuring against his hands. Finally, as he drew closer to the point where the Grappling Hook had coiled around the bar, he took firm hold of the platform and pulled himself up, unlatching the weapon as he did so. Spotting a second recess identical to the first, he laid himself upon the ground and reached into the darkness, grasping the skull inside and prying apart its death-sealed jaws. The light grew in intensity until it seemed almost blinding and dark, and then they were rushing through darkness, back into consciousness. With a twitch, Raven and Deralen returned to their bodies and sat up in the Waking World, blinking furiously, grateful for the pale sunlight filtering across the Path of Visions. Skull Kid was standing nearby, but for once, he was not capering about madly or otherwise indicating excitement—behind Skull Kid, they could make out that the hermetically sealed painted stone door had slid apart, revealing a shadowy corridor lined by torches that burned with the same dreary purple flame. Skull Kid was staring, however, at Raven, and his eyes were wide with concern—with a slight gasp of pain, Raven put his hand to his arm, wincing as he did so. A thin tear lined his clothing there, and underneath, a shallow wound could be seen. "It's what Princess Zelda warned us about," Skull Kid said softly, breaking the tense silence. "If you get hurt in the Dream World, your wounds transfer over to the real world... She was right!" Current Location: Path of Visions [spoiler=Places of Interest] Places of Interest & Enemies: • Path of Visions: You've been here before, in both the Waking World and the Dream World. The room's design remains the same, lined with several limestone obelisks and the same wavelike patterns on the walls. • Elevated Pedestal: Located directly behind you, it has recently served as your manner of return from the Dream World. Now that the ceremonial stone door has been opened, there doesn't seem to be much purpose in using it again. • Illusory Hall Access: A shadowed stone corridor that was recently concealed by the sliding stone door, it has since become accessible due to your Dream World escapades. It seems like it leads underground, directly into the heart of the Dream Dungeon.
Shadow Zero
Raven was at first surprised at how the wound that had been inflicted during his fight with the silver wolves, then he remembered Zelda's warning, adn heard it being echoed by Skull Kid immediately after. Of course, the fact that he could get hurt in the dream world and suffer the same injuries in the waking world was quite unsettling to him, but he had no time to dwell on such things, and so pushed it from his mind. "There's no time to be overly concerned about battle wounds, especially one as minor as this." Raven stood up and drew his hand cannon, quickly checking the ammo gauge and seeing that he now had 15 seeds left to use before he was our. Drawing back the ammo reader and opening a compartment in the top, he reached into his seed satchel and withdrew five seeds of mystery, putting them into the hand cannon and closing the opening as he stepped down off of the raised pedestal and past Skull Kid. With his hand cannon in his left hand, he reached behind him and beneath his cloak with his right hand and withdrew the Hylian shield that he carried with him at all times and placed it on his left arm in such a way that the buckles snapped shut on their own due to the way the shield had been placed. He then reached over his shoulder and unsheated the Noble Sword, swinging it down to hsi right side as he reached up and pulled his hood on with the hand that was holding his hand cannon. Looking over his shoulder at Deralen and Skull Kid, there was an unquenchable determination alight in his eyes as he said "We must continue moving forward. Our enemies won't wait for us to be ready, anbd the longer we wait, the more dangerous things become. Let's go." Raven turns around to face the Illusory Hall Access once more and walks into it, determined to bring this quest to an end as quickly as possible so that they could move on to the next step in their larger quest, of which this one was but a small part. Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=GM Post (Sunken Skull Dungeon)] GM Post: Sunken Skull DungeonGM Post: Sunken Skull Dungeon "Sariri!" Erzet called, cupping one hand to his mouth to the Rito girl below. "What is that thing? Maybe there's something inside of it!" He unloosed the Grappling Hook and took aim for the horizontal bar below him, repeating his actions in reverse as he began to descend slowly along the platforms. Current Location: Doomed Gateway [spoiler=Places of Interest] Places of Interest: • Doomed Gateway: A fairly high-ceilinged room, it is located at the entrance of the dungeon and is illuminated by two torches that glow with a sickly green flame, as well as several floating marshlights. It has three main doorways, only of one of which is currently accessible. To the right lies a comparably solid stretch of muddy ground that leads to a stone door bound by silver chains, which is obviously locked. "Sounds good to me!" he chirped in his high-pitched voice, eternally cheerful, running along after Raven. "Come on, Deralen!" Skull Kid called to his other companion, waving impatiently, and with his lumbering tread, the Goron hurried after the other two Champions. Raven halted briefly at the shadowy entrance to the Illusory Hall, then straightened his posture and plowed ahead, Skull Kid capering along playfully at his heels. As Deralen moved into the gloom with them, he felt the cool, musty air of the place—it was clear that no sunlight had warmed the complex ahead for a very long time. As the Champions moved along the narrow limestone passageway, not much wider than three men standing shoulder-to-shoulder, the torches fastened to the walls burst into life, casting a disembodied light upon the scene with their purple flame. The Champions came to a sudden halt, however, and it was clear why they had stopped—a gleaming black gate, identical to the one that had previously been raised in the Path of Visions, was barring their way. All three of the companions knew that the gate was immune to conventional forms of attack, and that the only way to proceed was to somehow lower it. Skull Kid's sharp eyes probed the gate briefly before turning and looking to the right, as if sensing something there. "Raven! Deralen!" he cried, pointing excitedly in that direction, "look over there!" As the Champions turned to their right and squinted into the shadows, they could make out a small branch of the passage, no more than a few feet, extending forwards to a cracked limestone wall. Upon the wall, littered with crevices and other imperfections, was painted the double wavy line that they had come to associate with the Dream Dungeon. "There's just gotta be something behind that wall!" Skull Kid urged his companions, pointing once more at its less-than-sturdy surface. "All we have to do is break through it somehow!" Current Location: Illusory Hall Access [spoiler=Places of Interest] Places of Interest & Enemies: • Illusory Hall Access: A narrow and rather claustrophobic limestone passageway, it is lined by torches that burn with a bizarre purple flame. Although it seems to lead much further into the Dream Dungeon, you are currently unable to proceed, due to a gleaming black metal gate. You you know from experience that the gate is invulnerable to all forms of attack, so you'll need to find a way to somehow lower it. • Cracked Limestone Wall: Located directly to your right, it is a limestone wall lined with imperfections that seem to hint at is structural frailty. It is decorated with the symbol of the Dream Dungeon. A strong or explosive impact might be able to shatter the wall and reveal what is lying inside. Shadow Zero
Raven crouched in front of the wall, taking a closer look at it. Raven knew that Skull Kid was right, they just needed to break through the wall somehow. Thinking back to when they were in Lokiri's shop, Raven remembered that Deralen had bought some bombs, and that unless he had used any of them for something else during their journey here, that he should have ten of them. "Skull Kid, stay behind me. Deralen, I believe that this would be a job for one of your bombs. Once you've placed it, you'll just Need to curl up to keep from being hurt by the blast. Your rocky Goron hide will be able to serve as a shield, and so should protect you from any damage. I'll use my shield to keep myself and Skull Kid from being hurt by the blast and fire one of my seeds of mystery at it to light the fuse and cause it to explode. Does anyone have any objections to this?"
encapturer
If one looked closely, they would have noticed Deralen shaking slightly as he saw the crack in the wall that Skull Kid pointed out. As Raven said, these were weak points in the walls that could be opened by way of explosives, like a bomb. The fact that Raven will be lighting the fuse was somewhat comforting, so Deralen nodded slightly at his suggestion. "....Okay." Deralen said, breathing deeply before taking a bomb out of his bag, carefully handling it such that its fuse did not light accidentally. He placed it upright in front of the crack, before curling up and rolling away from the bomb. "Whenever you're ready!" Deralen called out from behind Skull Kid and Raven, before curling back up. Hydra of Ages
[spoiler= Sunken Skull Dungeon]Sariri chuckled a little to herself morbidly. "You know, you have to wonder. Where did all these skulls come from? It's doubtful that they're the remains of fallen adventurers, I mean, the dungeon's practically made of them. I'm sure without the bones, this place would just be a mildly unpleasant swamp cavern." she chattered to herself, waving her dark wings a little as she noticed with a scowl that green mildew was already building up on her previously glossy feathers. "Stupid marsh." she muttered to herself. "I think I'm looking more and more like a heron the longer I stay here. Maybe I should stick around. It might make me taller." she wondered aloud. She blinked a little as a wooden chest rolled from the jaws of the creature. She giggled as Erzet called to her. "Of course it does, silly!" she responded, her voice projecting louder without any noticeable effort. "Otherwise they wouldn't have bothered putting it here." she giggled and walked up towards the chest. Struggling a little with the rusted latch, she inevitably managed to get the slightly rotten wood open, and reveal its contents. She glanced inside with sparkling eyes, and was only mildly disappointed to only find a small object inside- the disappointment fading when she realized it was a key. "Duh-dah duh-dah duh-dah duh-dah-do!"* she called triumphantly, humming a little tune as she held up the sparking silver object for everyone (Ezret) to see. "Small Key GET!" she said brightly. *Yes, I know that's not the "Item-GET!" tune. I figured that was a bit overdone, so I used the first few notes of what I consider . [spoiler= GM Post]GM Post: Red JungleGM Post: Red Jungle As Mira walked into the next segment of the dungeon alone, the light suddenly cut out. Instead of the bright, slightly rose light that had bathed her before, she was instead illuminated only by a dark scarlet radiance that seemed to make everything seem covered in blood. She appeared to be in a great hall, a room slightly larger than the previous chamber. The door sat on a small ledge, only a slight jump away from the forest floor, which was covered in beautiful red flowers. Ugly, gnarled trees twisted away from the floor, covering it like hairs across a scalp. Large, deep crimson roots drew away from the relatively small trunks, covering large distances and carving dark scars across the sea of orchids, roughly stretching from one end to the other in distance. At the other end of the room lies a slight indent in the wall, crossed by thick walls of vines, rendering what had been a doorway nonexistent. In the center of the room is a grand seam between two mighty walls of red cellulose, in the center of the seam lying a grand door, protected by an equally massive an imposing lock. Though the roots cover most of the forest floor, none reach to the imposing grand gate; However, the orchids cover all the ground up until it. Many small spore pods, some even out of sight, line the roots of all the trees, pulsing gently and releasing small amounts of red spore into the air. ENEMIES-x? Spore Pods: Various small, conspicuous spores poke up from the ground around the tree roots. They don't seem to be doing anything yet, however... Current Location: Red Jungle, South Petal Chamber / Hall of the Red [spoiler=Places of Interest.] Places of Interest: • Hall of the Red: One of the Inner Chambers of the Jungle, even the very air in the Hall of the Red is tainted a deep crimson. Sunlight unable to get through except filtering through the thick canopy of red vines, several of the scarlet plants hang downward like snakes ready to trip up passersbies. Trees snake upward from the ground towards the sky, becoming one with the massive red walls that make up the 'petals' of the jungle. Their dark red roots stretch across the forest floor, bolstering the growth of small, delicate-looking blood blossoms, orchids with delicate, perfect-looking scarlet petals that drape across the floor like a carpet. A southern door leads back to the South Petal Chamber. A large indent filled with great vines, the tell tale sign of a blocked door, lies also to the east, across the hall. • Arch of Bloodlust: Found to the north, the two largest petals that seal in the core of the Jungle bend towards eachother to form an impenetrable dome. Along the seam is a large wall, made from thick blocks that resemble that of an ancient temple. Two giant doors lay closed, untouched by any of the vines, but covered in a massive, four-chain lock with an eye engraved on it. This door requires a key, and a rather massive one at that. • Sealed Door: Found to the East, this door is blocked by thick tendrils. Where is the spore that controls it? Is it even in the room, or is it found elsewhere? • Massive Roots: Massive tree roots, dark red and ominous laying haphazardly across the Hall. Are the only islands in a sea of red Orchids. • Red Orchids: Conspicuous red flowers growing everywhere except on the roots of the trees across the Hall. Don't seem to sway in the breeze. You seem to catch an air of danger from them... • Canopy: More dense than in previous areas, is covered in snakelike crimson vines that dangle downward dangerously. Some areas of the canopy look more dense than others, giant tangles of vine-matter. Exits: • South Petal Chamber: This is the first room you can enter in the main portion of the Red Jungle. It is a large, generally empty room, filled with large red trees that just seem like they're waiting to drink your blood. The sky is obscured by the canopy of the trees, which is crossed with blood red vines. Possesses three doors, one to the North and one to the West, plus a third door to the east that is still currently blocked by thick vines.
Aqua Girl
As Mira looked over the room, she saw the great door first it was huge and had an equaly huge lock with an evil eye to it, something have her the feeling the key to the forest's Curse was there But she will have to find the key to it first. Mira looked at the red flowers and got an ominus feeling from them, she decided against coming in to contact with them. With that Mira leaped down and landed on a root that was sticking out. Unfortunately Mira sliped and with out thinking stabed her sword in to the ground, inadvertantly activating her sword. ((Sry for the short post, but I'm lost if the Spore is not in the room, also Mira's sword freezes anything non Humanoid.))
Saiba Aisu
[spoiler=GM Post (Sunken Skull Dungeon)] GM Post: Sunken Skull DungeonGM Post: Sunken Skull Dungeon Erzet rolled his eyes in disbelief at Sariri's cheeky remarks and her animated efforts to produce sound effects. "Maybe they're the remains of people who were sacrificed to construct this dungeon," he suggested spookily, swinging lightly down to the first and lowest of the gleaming white platforms. He gazed down at the Rito girl amusedly, watching her literally cluck with excitement over the silver key. "Hey, little heron!" he called down to her, unlatching the Grappling Hook and taking aim for the horizontal bar where he had initially started his wayward climb. "Just make sure you don't drop our precious treasure into the water! Something tells me that you're not a good swimmer." Erzet was beginning to feel light-hearted and confident for the first time since entering the Sunken Skull Dungeon—that was just the effect Sariri had upon him; she could always find the silver lining for every situation, even when they were in a dark, damp, and abandoned tomb. Lowering himself onto the length of rope, he used his feet to kick off the platform behind him—with a slight stretching noise, the thief was swooping over the murky water, his feet barely skimming over it. At the lowest point of the curve, the trailing end of the rope touched the stagnant water for the briefest of moments, sending out a light ripple; however, neither he nor Sariri noticed it. The Gerudo gave a small sigh of relief at being back upon solid ground. With another flick of his wrist, he unwound the Grappling Hook and pulled it back to him, catching it deftly and handing it back to Sariri with a single fluid movement. "Thanks," Erzet said to her. "I know it can't have been easy trusting me with your favorite weapon, but I'm glad you did. Now, let's have a look at that key—" He was cut off by a sudden slapping noise, as if something damp had landed upon the ground behind him. Erzet whirled around, scimitars flying into his hands with a metallic gleam. Spotting nothing, he looked down in confusion to see a small snakelike creature wriggling towards him across the muddy ground. Looking more closely at it, Erzet could see that there was something very odd about the snake—with a start of disgust, he realized that it did not appear to have any skin or organs; it was just a skeleton slithering forwards blindly in apparent defiance of death. He kicked it away angrily with his booted foot, watching with satisfaction as it flew through the air, still wriggling madly, before disappearing into the murky water with an almost imperceptible plopping noise and a small set of ripples. He watched the ripples spread idly, half-expecting the tiny snake to surface once more. His eyes caught a flash of movement in the muck to their left, and with a feeling of unease, he saw another set of ripples to their right. Suddenly the water was alive with slimy, creeping things as more of the Skull Serpents emerged and slithered forwards onto the muddy bank. Unlike the first one, however, which had been no longer than his index finger, these were full-grown predators—each of them measured close to six feet in length and was as wide as Sariri's waist, with sharp and lethal-looking fangs. Erzet moved back slowly as six of Skull Serpents slapped onto the muddy ground and slithered closer, forming a semi-circle around the two Champions—the situation had come from amusing to deadly in only a few moments. The creatures arranged themselves into coils, their bleached-white skeletons swaying with an almost lazy grace. The Gerudo raised his scimitars slowly, knowing that any sudden movements would set the swarm into a merciless attack. Shadow Zero
Raven drew his hand cannon and fired a Mystery Seed at the bomb using its fire attribute ability. To his surprise, it blew through most of the wick and left only enough left for a few seconds before the bomb would explode. Not allowing his surprise to overcome common sense, he immediately crouches behind his shield, taking care to make sure that Skull Kid was behind him. Allowing a small smile to curl his lips, he says "Boom." just before the bomb would explode and clearly relishing the idea of what would happen when the bomb exploded.
