Kingdom Hearts: Final Remnant [ADVANCED][PG][Accepting!][Started!]

The Heartless turned its small head towards the two newcomers, obviously intrigued by their very presence. It shrieked and dived at them through the mist. It seemed to be able to see them just fine, but they could also see its bright blue eyes clearly through the haze. It swiped its claws viciously and seemed to slice through the mist.

Saix waited until Xanik had calmed himself, before gesturing with a single finger for Xanik to come to him. He approached and came to a halt when he was safe distance from Saix. "I'm pairing you with Foxiea today," Saix said while Xanik looked around for his partner. "I have already sent her on her mission," Saix said in answer to Xanik's confusion, "She is in Twilight Town, investigating an area we believe will allow access to another world, as our links to the worlds we had set up have gone down. First, find her, assist her in any way you can, then eliminate any Heartless that are guarding the link, and then RTC."

OOC: Andx, sorry about confusing things. I refreshed badly and hadn't seen the movement

"Very well."

Xigserul drew his own weapon. Brelixluma sang in his head. He ran and sliced the shadow-thing in two...or so he thought. The two pieces floated, separated. There was no sound. There was no thought. There was only the shadow, floating.

"Great. It would be able to stop that. We'll just have to up the ante a bit more then won't we?!" Nelxiol yelled as he fired off another five of the blades from varying angles and directions. He concentrated the mist on these to give more of an edge to them. With any luck, the shadow wouldn't be able to just swat them away without feeling something. But if these attacks didn't work Nelxiol would have to use his keyblade. He knew his mist was always stronger with his weapon. But Xemnas had told him to show no one. He really didn't want to show the Final Remnant to anyone he wasn't supposed to.

Xanik closed his eyes and thought for a moment, opening his eyes a few moments afterward and nodding his head. "Sounds like a good enough plan to me..." Xanik said as he opened up a portal to Twighlite Town and then warmed himself up to go with a few stretches. Xanik walked through the portal and a few seconds later he was in the center of Twighlite Town, Xanik immediately started searching for his partner. Xanik made his way around the town until he came to a vacant ally with someone standing there. "Foxiea, is that you..." Xanik asked to the person standing there.

OOC: Appearance will be added shortly.

The figure turned, and when they spotted the intruder, they threw off their cloak that Xanik noticed was identical to his own. It was a woman, but Xanik got the feeling this was not Foxiea. She was tall and skinny, and she looked puzzled by Xanik's comment. "Nay, this woman you speak of is not I, but another I think. I dost not know thy face. Identify yourself knave, Kythe wishes to know who she is addressing. Your appearance intrigues me, and patient I am not." Kythe looked Xanik up and down with a quizzical look, awaiting his response.

Xanik turned around and started to walk away from Kyth but then stopped. "If you are not the one I'm seeking than I'm not inclined to tell you anything further." Xanik said cold and dark as he always did. "But tell me, if your not one of Voluntes de XIII, than who are you..." Xanik asked, turning around again but with a fiercer aura than what he had when they first met. "You have an identical cloak to myself, which leaves me to expect one of two options. You have stolen from us, or you have killed one of us. Both actions are intolerable to the organization and you will be terminated." Xanik explained and then waited for his answers.

"A Nobody? Then it is you who shall be terminated. You are running my patience thin. I wish to know the name of the unfortunate soul Kythe will make pure hell." As she spoke, she drew a blade that was strung on her back. She positioned it like a two-handed sword, which it was, but it had two handles instead of one larger handle. "Kythe is my name, a Xeno Heartless is what I am, and a headhunter is what I do. There is nothing Kythe truly enjoys more than tying up loose ends, and the Organization's ends have been tangling too low for me to ignore. Prepare yourself knave, an end shall not come to your misery. Then again, Nobodies don't have emotions, do they? Pity or hatred. Which to fight for. Fine choices are both. But first, what is thy name?"

OOC: Weapon appearance will be added to the Gallery shortly.

Xanik gave a slight chuckle, his hood wasn't down so Kythe wasn't able to see the smirk on Xanik' face. "My mission was to find my partner before destroying the heartless but I'm sure I could spare at lease ONE minute on you." Xanik reached his right arm out and a pillar of dust jetted up from the ground and summoned his weapon, which was a silver lance with one blue shining jewel at the bottom and one at the top. Around the one at the top were four blades surrounding it. "My name is Xanik, and all that you are, all that you have done or will do, will be reduced to nothing more then dust in the wind..." Xanik threatened...

"Say what you will. You are a mere puppet in your Superior's plans. Haven't you realized? Thy life is dangling by a thin thread already, a puppet with only one string. Everyone in the Organization except for the dastardly man who commands you are just puppets putting on a show for an audience, us. The Xeno Heartless. Eventually, the curtain will close, and then what? Why fight whom you cannot defeat? You should be fighting those who control your fate now and forever, until you become the puppeteer. I will give you a standing innovation if you achieve control. Climb the string you hang from my friend."

Xanik considered the options at the moment and went back to his emotionless face. "Perhaps your right, and then again perhaps your wrong. I do tasks for the organization yes, but free roam is also mine. If I was to leave our base after this mission is over to take care of my own agenda I would be allowed to." Xanik said to Kythe. "Nevertheless, this conversation is over..." Xanik's staff floated in the air and he sent a cloud of dust particles jetting out and expanding over the whole alleyway. They cut into the stone walls of the alley way like each particle was as sharp as an individual blade...

"Apparently, you do not understand," Kythe said, ignoring the dust that was just far away enough that she was unharmed, "On a small scale, perhaps you can roam free. But that doesn't change the fact that you're on a tight leash. Wander too far, the bond will break. A puppet cannot dance without its puppeteer." Kythe let go of the sword with both hands, but it remained in the air, floating in the exact same position. It was probably just his imagination, but Xanik thought he heard distant screams coming from the blade itself. "Grief leaves deep holes in your soul. The loss of your dear brother added another scream to my collection."

"I had a brother?" Xanik shouted in surprise.

"Of course. Knowing the story of each and every scream inside this blade, including that of its rightful and former owner, like I do, adds a little something to your knowledge of pain. Do put on a good show." Suddenly, the blade shot forward, not phased by the dust that was mercilessly pounding on it. It was headed straight for Xanik's chest. Kythe stayed just of reach of the dust, watching.

Noir watched with a sneer. He wondered if he should step in and slay the Xeno Shadow, as a show of Friendship. He might be able to use these two to find that fool. He'd searched for a while and never found him. Maybe another guy would. He decided on it. He held his hand out and it flled with a Dark Firaga. Then he threw it at the Xeno Shadow from his alley. This would win him some brownie points, per se. He watched the thing flail, and chuckled as he pulled out his tome. He wrote in it, making a sword appear. The sword also had an illusion on it that made it look like the Oblivion Keyblade, although it was a regular blade.

Xyma woke up with a start. She knew at that moment she was late, but she did not care. Both because she was a Nobody, and she was always late nowadays. She got up and walked out to the hall to find Saix. "Any assingments for me?" She asked.

Xanik knocked the blade high into the air with his spear and off it's course completely. "I don't know what your talking about, I have no brother..." Xanik said, calling his dust back to flow around him. The dust then materialized into thirteen blades, Xanik commanded the blades to point at Kythe. "Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust..." Xanik uttered and then the blades took of flying toward Kythe, seeming to have minds of their own for they we're flowing in intricate and detailed patterns...

Suddenly, there was a loud scream from above. Xanik covered his ears, and his blades halted in mid air, then tumbled to the stone road in a heap. Kythe's blade slowly lowered to where Xanik's blades had just been, inches away from Kythe's face, which remain emotionless. However, her blade was pointed towards Xanik instead. The scream stopped, but when Xanik tried to summon his blades, he noticed Kythe's foot was on them, pinning them down to their heap, helpless. Meanwhile, Grief, Kythe's blade, circled around Kythe. Xanik thought he saw a shadow, a real shadow, not a shadow Heartless, with its hands on the blade. If Xanik made out the shape of the shadow correctly, it was wearing a cloak like Organization XIII's.

"It's previous owner?" Xanik asked.

"The Shadow?" Kythe replied, watching him even when the blade passed over her eyes, "Yes, that's him."

From a distance, a louder, more blood curdling scream was heard, many times worse than the scream Grief emitted. "It appears I have another important engagement I must attend. I have a feeling I will see you again my puppet."

"You are late," Saix said, glaring at Xyma, who marched right up to him. "I've been waiting here for quite some time." Before Xyma could utter an apology, Saix said, "I have no mission for you today, I assigned someone else to do the one i had planned. So instead, find Yukoux and Xores and assist them in finding the mysterious shopkeeper. Now go." Saix waved his hand and a portal appeared.

Xanik only watched as he watched Kythe flee from there battle. "An utter annoyance at best..." Xanik said, his dust encircling him then he himself vanished into the air, continuing his mission. My mission is still on, regardless of that minor distraction, finding my implied "partner" is what I must do now... Xanik thought, seeing someone else from above in the sky. Xanik swooped down and materialized from the dust he once was back into himself. Xanik turned to the person. "Foxiea..." Xanik asked for the SECOND time today.

"Hmph, someone's ill." She said flatly as she stepped int othe portal, not waiting for his reprimand. She arrived behind the Yukoux. "What are we doing here?" She asked nonchalantly, and sounding a bit bored. She fingered one of the chains on her cloak as she awaited a response. She saw Xores walking away and wondered what he was doing.

Noir shot at the Xeno Shadow with his "Keyblade" at ready. The beast hesitated one moment too many, as it knew this was its master. Noir stabbed into the Xeno shadow and shot a Dark Firaga into it at the same time.

Yukoux watched Xores walk away and decided that instead of following Xores into Twilight Town he should go see and thank the cloaked person who'd helped them. *I mean they could have just left us to fight for ourselves... instead he helped us and defeated all those Heartless in a single move.*

But just as he turned to head back towards the shop where he last saw the cloaked person he heard someone call his name. He turned to see someone behind his dressed as part of the Organization, "Uh, hi? Who are you?"

Xigserul looked up to see the source of the new attacker. Again, the same sensation that had assaulted him in the marketplace and again with the conductor was affecting him here. This was much stronger. This feeling was much more sinister, and his instincts were telling him to run, run right now. But he needed to be sure. He launched a single mental attack against this new combatant, and was blocked. Easily. Not that he'd put much power into it, but the iron clad defenses around his mind, like a dark barrier, were there, just as they were with the conductor.

Noir Sliced down with his "Keyblade" and chopped the Xeno Heartless in half. He wiped his brow as he looked at it. He thought "Another one of these beasts... how many are there?". He was NOT guarding his mind at all, the whole time he was fighting. He let the blade fade as the body of the beast did as well.

"My name is Xyma." She said flatly, "And Saix sent me here. Wha's the mission?" She raised an eyebrow. She was very coarse with anyone she talked to. She had her weapon strapped to her back, and waited to move.

Yukoux was a bit annoyed with Xyma, she seemed to have no patience at all. "Well if you listened to Saix, you'd know that we're trying to find a shopkeeper who has been seen with Heartless. Our job is to find him, I guess capture him and return to the castle. Any questions?" He glanced at the weapon out in the open on her back, "You may want to keep that hidden unless you're using it. The shopkeepers don't like people bringing weapons in their shops. That's why mine's covered by my robe." He slid his robe open a bit, revealing the Zero-Blade on his belt.

Xigserul took the opportunity presented to him, and leapt into the man's mind. Surprisingly, there were only thoughts of justice and valor. His goal, his drive, his everything were focused into his keyblade and the manifest was sheer power. But here in his mind, things were stronger. There was also a hint of anger, not enough to cloud judgment. Trauma with the Heartless, perhaps? Either way, the man had a Keyblade, which was troubling. The feeling hadn't gone away quite yet, and that barrier had vanished, but he wasn't taking any chances. He pointed Brelixluma to the man's back.

"Who are you, and what did you kill?"

This man was strong. He killed the shadow without hardly trying. It seemed Xigserul could see nothing major wrong with him yet something seemed off to Nelxiol. He felt something strange but it clearly wasn't one of his own feelings. It felt almost as if his keyblade of all things was warning him.

"No that can't be. I'm just pointlessly worried about a feeling from earlier that was probably only anxiety." he thought. Yet even as he told himself this he felt the feeling stronger. He was determined that he would ignore it. This man had done nothing to deserve distrust. Nelxiol's mist faded as it seemed it would no longer be required to fight. Nelxiol shifted his silver hood a bit to make sure it was still covering his face. He walked over to Xigserul and the man.

"I'm sure what my partner would have said had he been feeling polite was 'Could you kindly tell us your name, who you are, and what that thing was exactly?'. Questions I have to ask myself." Nelxiol said to the man.

"Name: Jaffar. I am a keyy wielder and user of Darkness, and I am protecting my town. That was a Xeno Shadow, a much more powerful Shadow, actually NeoShadow. Any other questions?" He took the persona of an overly serious warrior. His other mind was laughing, but the mind in his body had an annoyance at the questions. "And who are you thugs dressed in black? Clack is usually Heartless." He growled and gripped his false Oblivion tight. He would kill these men if they harmed the townspeople in any way.

"And just how would you know about that, Xeno Shadow? That monster hasn't been spotted anywhere until a day or two ago at the most." Nelxiol said. Perhaps the feeling he thought he was getting from the Final Remnant was making him paranoid but this person had him concerned.

"Regardless who we are isn't something we can just casually tell you. If you're worried we'll hurt anyone, Mr. Town Guardian, then you can relax." Nelxiol said.

"I suggest we go. We've seen the creature and we'll have to give what info we can to the others." he said to Xigserul who still seemed to be examining Jaffar. Nelxiol wanted to RTC as soon as possible. Staying with this person would be too troubling if this strange feeling didn't leave.

"Why are you leaving so soon?" He asked. "Sounds suspicious to me. And Xeno Shadow is a term I coined. Xeno is Neo with an X." He said simply, "And X is a variable that changes in power." He glared at Nelxiol. This man was a nuisance. "You seem up to no good... that would explain the other guys like you, harrassing a shopkeeper!" He snapped, eyes and mind full of rage. "I'm not so sure you guys aren't heartless yourselves." He was ready to fight. "Give me reason to believe otherwise." He narrowed his eyes.
