Imbecile. Better be glad your a higher authority you prick! Xores thought to himself as he and his comrade stepped in the portal and disappeared. They arrived at a marketplace in Twilight Town. "I guess we can start here... if we must." Xores said as he gripped his Shinkuriki. "It's a shame i'm not a keyblade wielder but at least i can still slice and kill things i please." Xores said as he walked around the marketplace. The marketplace looked empty but Xores had a pretty good feeling that it would be swarming with Nobodys.

I don't like this place one bit. Xores thought to himself as he looked around vigorously. "I say we start looking in different directions. You take East, i'll go West. If you need anything just yell alright?" Xores said as he went his direction.

"The lesser Heartless might attack us. We do look like civilians, after all. But the bigger, more intelligent Heartless, much like The Superior's Heartless, or ones that take commands from others will in fact be affected. We look like civilians, after all. And also, I've taken the liberty of modifying our images so that if we draw our weapons, our menal images will "run away", keeping with the rest of the crowds. But after fifteen seconds, you will be revealed, so keep that in mind. Now, I think we should ask around for suspicious activities. What about you?" Xigserul wanted to maintain healthy relations with all of his partners, and Nelxiol was a good start.

Noir sat on top of a building in Twilight Town. His alley had been boring him. His thoughts began,

"Interesting technique indeed." Nelxiol said still curiously eyeing the barrier. Nelxiol took a look around and saw few people in their current location.

"Right, people are always a good source of information, even if they don't know what's causing the activity. If I recall there's a place called the Tram Common? I believe it's where we should find the most people." Nelxiol said. With that he started heading off in the direction of the Tram Common with Xigserul. As he walked he couldn't shake the feeling that something malicious was watching him. However he dismissed the idea as it couldn't be possible, at least he thought.

"By the way, before we need it. If you ever need cover, and by that I mean reduced visibility in the area, just say so. It's my "thing" I guess you could say." Nelxiol said as he continued walking.

Noir had a genius idea as he watched them. He would take out the tram director, and he would assume his identity. then he could watch these fools. With that thought, he laughed at a normal level of noise and faded into a Portal of Darkness.

After he arrived below the tram common, he walked up to the conductor. "Well, what could I get for you, sonny?" The old man asked Noir. The man didn't have another thought. Noir slammed his hand through the man's chest, and ripped out his heart, his heart dissapeared and the body poofed into smoke. "'Tis a pity that he will become a Heartless AND a Nobody.", he chuckled with a 'tsk'. Then his identity changed to that of the old man, and he took the booth.

Yukoux looked after Xores and nodded, "Understood." He started walking in the opposite direction and made sure to closely examine each shop he went by, *Ok, so maybe this shopkeeper we're trying to find won't be as easy to find as I originally thought.* He continued until he found himself leaving the main section of Twilight Town.

Yukoux turned back and started to walk around so that he would make a complete circle, or square back to where he started. *Alright this is just annoying, I haven't seen anything that even closely resembles a Heartless in the area so I guess that means I'm gonna have to focus more on how the different shop keepers react to me. He walked into the shop just on his left and started looking around among the shelves, the hem of his robe billowing out behind him as he moved. His attention was all focused on the shopkeeper who was standing along the far wall.

"The Tram Common, eh? Sure. And that might come in handy during a fight. Excellent." The two headed up to the Tram Common, and all the while Xigserul could sense something, but he couldn't tell what exactly. As soon as he got to a shop, the feeling vanished. He walked up to a woman behind the counter.

"Pardon me, ma'am. Have you seen anything strange lately?"

"Well, now that you mention it, the tram's running a bit late. It's usually on-time. In fact, I can only remember a single instance when it hasn't..."

"Thanks."

"Ooh! And maybe talk to the conductor of the tram! He's always around town, so he may have heard some gossip that you might find interesting."

"Thank you again! So, Nelxiol, what do you make of that?"

"Well, it could either be the Tram's just late or that there's heartless about. In any case it's nice to see such a quick lead so we should probably take it." Nelxiol said. Nelxiol looked outside the shop to the tram tracks. Nothing seemed to be running at the moment like the woman had said. Though he was really looking outside to see if he could spot the cause of the odd feeling he'd had when they entered. It had also strangely stopped once they entered the store. Nelxiol thought perhaps he was simply too anxious.

"And if it does turn out he's just late we still have access to his knowledge of the local gossip. Doesn't seem the situation has any down sides." Nelxiol said. In the distance he could hear something, like the Tram had just started off. Of course it was faint so the Tram would take a minute or two at the least to get to their location.

Noir pulled the tram up, quickly getting into character. "All aboard!" He called in a joking manner. He had graying hair, and was bald on top. It felt overy odd to him, but he had to live with it. Turns, out, he got there just in time. Those two meddlers were there waiting. He ignored a need to sneer and kept up the old man persona. "Where are you two young'uns headed?"

As soon as the conductor pulled up to the station, that instinctive niggling leapt into life again, this time stronger than before. He whispered to Nelxiol, under the guise of "paying" the man, "There's something wrong here. Get ready to fight if need be." He answered the conductor, "Sunset Hill, thanks." He took his seat and the tram began to move. He made sure Nelxiol was in position in case of an attack, then asked the conductor:

"So, heard any good gossip lately?"

At that precise moment, he launched his consciousness at the conductor, but it was reflected, battered away like a fly. He had used the same technique on the girl at the shop, but her defenses were minimal compared to this man. There was a darkness surrounding his mind, one that was impenetrable in this current situation.

The old man just looked back and smiled. "All you young'uns always head there at this time of day." He looked forward to conduct the train, and then began. "Gossip... Well, there has been talk of some shady character in the Alleyways. Supposedly he's killed a few people. If that were true, no bodies have been found." He conducted the train with a mental chuckle. . He began to have thoughts of when he was young here in this town, past loves, etc.

As Yukoux walked out of the fifth shop he'd walked into he was getting annoyed. Only two of the shopkeepers so far had even reacted to him being in their shop and it was because they thought he looked shifty and wanted him out of the shop. He walked farther down the road and decided to try one more shop. But as he walked toward it to walk into it he noticed that there were only two people in it, one was the shopkeeper and the other was wrapped up in a hooded cloak, so much that the person was completely covered. Yukoux kept walking and saw Xores, he ran over to him. "Xores, I think I found our guy. He's all alone in his shop except for a person so wrapped up in a hooded cloak that not a single part of him was visible, what do you think?"

Suddenly, the mental barriers were gone, as if they had never existed...The amns mind was a mess, memories and emotions scattered all over the place, intersecting and fading into each other all over the place. If his past behavior was any indication, he was a neat and orderly man, his mind would reflect that.

"Actually, we're looking into that sort of thing. All this mystery and such. None of that Seven Wonders stuff. Ah, here's our stop."

The tram pulled up at Sunset Hill station. Xigserul hopped off from his seat and gestured for Xelsiol to hop off as well, thanking the conductor as he did so.

OOC: Will pick up when I get back from my class in about 3 hours.

The old man waved bye with a smile. "Enjoy your time!" He called as they deboarded the train. He watched them leave before quickly opening his portal of Darkness and getting through it. He thought as he reemerged. He quickly resumed his old identity. With that, he opened another portal, and began to stalk his prey.

Nelxiol stepped off the train and into Sunset Plaza. Though it was always nearly sundown in Twilight Town, the sun here looked even more breathtaking. Or rather, Nelxiol would've noticed this if he hadn't been thinking about something else.

"So Xigserul, we're here. Still no real leads. And perhaps it was just me, but something about that old man seemed... 'off'. Not that anything was noticeable it just gave me an odd gut feeling. In fact, I've had this same feeling the whole time we've been here. I want to pass it off as anxiety or something unimportant but I can't seem to shake it." Nelxiol said. He couldn't really accurately describe the feeling. He hadn't experienced it before so if Xigserul wasn't having a similar feeling there wasn't really going to be a way for Nelxiol to describe it to him.

Suddenly, Nelxiol spotted a shadowy figure from the corner of his eye going into the sewer tunnels. Nelxiol waved to his comrade, who followed him through the entrance, which was usually caged up and closed. The figure was actually on the walls, which was unexpected, as the two Voluntas de XIII members expected a small heartless, rather than an actual shadow. It was quick as lightning, but did not seem to move any of its shadowy body parts. It lead them through the dank, dimly lit underground alleyways to a large arch leading to some stairs. The shadow shot up the stairs lighting fast, where it was lost in the darkness, but the two followed it all the same. They emerged in an alleyway similar to the one they were just in, except it was above ground, and they recognized the area. They looked around, and spotted it on a nearby wall, but then it became to expand in size so it was three dimensional. It looked like a Neoshadow with larger proportions, but something about it was odd.

Xores walked to his partner's place although it took him a while to get there on foot but he needed the exercise anyway. Xores got there in less then half hour knowing that his partner found the man that they were looking for. "Good. Finally we can go back home and rest." Xores said when he felt something coming toward him. Crowd of Heartless rose up from the ground, thousands of them surrounding him, his partner, and the man. "Finally some action. Come on you dirty scumbags." Xores said as he took out his Shinkuriki and started a frenzy full of slashes to the Heartless in his path.

"I noticed something strange myself," Xigserul replied while chasing the shadow. "That was definitely NOT the conductor we just saw. At first, I couldn't get through to his mind, its defenses were extremely strong. But, suddenly those defenses disappeared, and a scatterbrain emerged. No one can be a train conductor who's NEVER LATE and have a mind like that. I can tell you with about seventy percent certainty that the conductor was being used by this Heartless we're trying to find."

The shopkeeper, who was invisible in the shadows of the small, cramped shop, barely stirred when he saw the Heartless outside his shop. The cloaked man did not seem to pay any attention to them, and examined a small, gold, Egyptian-looking lamp through the dirty glass of the musty glass cases that took up most of the shop apart from a narrow walkway between the entrance the counter at which the shopkeeper sat behind. Outside, the shop looked ancient and quite a wreck, while still standing. The two allowed the Voluntas de XIII members to fight the heartless for a while, then stretched out his gloved hand and pointed towards the heartless through the doorway. Suddenly, a gigantic beam of violet light shot from his hand and into the massive crowd of Shadow heartless. In a fraction of a second, they were gone.

Noir had been watching the two fight and was about to step in when the shopkeeper shot the beam. Noir thought when he saw the Heartless slaughtered. He glared at the source of the beam, not that he could be seen. He was a man covered from head to toe, almost. This man had some sort of power... but what? For now, he looked on from the shadows as the two stopped fighting. He had his tome out and was ready to smmon some more Heartless to assault this infidel.

Yukoux had pulled out his Zero-Blade and had cut, slashed and blasted some of the Heartless with bursts of wind when suddenly a bright violet beam of light came, seemingly out of nowhere and all the Heartless disappeared. Yukoux was stunned for a moment before turning in the direction that the beam of light had come from and saw that it had come from the man who was almost entirely covered from head to toe, one of the men that Yukoux thought was there enemy. He turned back to Xores for a moment and then looked back at the covered man, "What? But I thought... If he's our ally, then how can that shopkeeper be the one we're looking for?"

((I thought so too. But oh well, let's continue on Andrew.))

Xores was also stunned by what had happened and turned to Yukoux. "Did... did he just save us?" Xores said as he had a confused look on his face. "How can he be the one that we're looking for if he's our ally?" Xores asked Yukoux as he sheathed his Shinkuriki. Something isn't right. Something is wrong. Xores thought to himself as he stayed in Twilight Town. "Well we better search out this whole town looking for him. Yell if you need anything." Xores said as he stepped out of the marketplace and into the streets of Twilight Town."

"You ready to go Xigserul?" Nelxiol said as he readied himself to attack this shadow. Though it was strange. It looked like a Neoshadow, something Nelxiol had seen many times in the World that Never Was. However something was different about this one. It was noticeable enough that Nelxiol could tell something was odd but not enough that Nelxiol could clearly say what it was. Regardless he prepared to attack. Xemnas had told him very clearly to show his keyblade to as few people as possible. As such he didn't draw it. Instead he started forming a fog about himself. It wasn't spreading out and it obscured all but his head, which still had the cloak over it.

"I can keep it busy, but I think you'll need to strike the killing blow." he said to Xigserul. At that he swung his right arm horizontally and a four foot long wave of mist with a half foot width launched out at the shadow. His trade mark, mist-blade wave, was quite capable of cutting the shadow, though most likely not enough to kill it.

Xanik awoke from his slumber with much disturb feelings, was he even alive anymore? Were any of us even alive at all, ever? These were the reoccurring questions that went on in his mind, everyday and all day. Xanik walked from out of his room and into the dark hallway that was he and his comrades dwelling. Xanik thrust his arm at the air and made a portal of swirling darkness, his destination always the same. Xanik vanished into the portal and arrived at the meeting place where they all met to receive orders, and yet there was no one there. Xanik looked around and then turned around to see a small child standing there in peasants close, torn and wrinkled and stained brown by the elements. "Don't you remember?" Is all the child said, before fading into the darkness that was the dark meeting room Xanik had teleported to just moments before this strange and not so meaningful encounter. "Remember? ..." A confused Xanik uttered as he got his head collected back and noticed Saix standing there, watching his confusion...
