LuffyLaxer
Yeah While RPing I've notice that in the Quick reply bar, the space is no where big enough. I think we make the space wider, That way the Rpers can tell what is a four line post instead of a 3 line post. That way Mods won't lock our threads. It should also help out any other person on YCM. Brushfire
Advanced Quick Reply. Want it, but it won't happen. Live with it, or use the normal reply screen.

Guest
Isn't the normal reply screen significantly thinner than the Quick Reply?
Brushfire
Isn't the normal reply screen significantly thinner than the Quick Reply? Thinner, but longer. It's not like they can't get over it, it's pretty much an "issue" that every RP site has.
Guest
Isn't the normal reply screen significantly thinner than the Quick Reply? Thinner' date=' but longer.[/quote'] Yes, but the complaint was that the box being thinner made it harder for RPers to tell if their posts were long enough. Anyhow, anti-support for the following reasons: 1) If your post is so short that you're unsure whether or not it is long enough, you can probably write more than that. 2) As Brushfire said, this is hardly a problem exclusive to YCM. 3) It's very easy to quickly get a feel for how many lines of Quick Reply covers four lines of actual post. Six Quick Reply lines will definitely suffice. 4) If you're struggling to just write the bare minimum - and, since you obviously don't have more than three lines of real content or you would have typed them in the first place, are adding filler text to even reach the bare minimum - then maybe you suck at RPing. 5) The. Preview. Button. Exists.

LuffyLaxer
okay jeez just say support or no support. dang, all i was trying to do was give a helpful suggestion. jeez take it down a peg. By the way, by the time you do all of that, there have been 3 other post in the thread. I understand the preview button, I've never used it though. -Griffin
If the thread is getting three replies in the time it takes you to write a decent two paragraph post, I'd recommend practicing faster typing or joining RPs where the rest of the people involved type higher quality posts rather than fast bits of junk, probably the later. Guest
okay jeez just say support or no support. dang' date=' all i was trying to do was give a helpful suggestion. jeez take it down a peg.[/quote'] If you're going to make a discussion topic about a suggestion, you must understand that that suggestion will be discussed. By the way' date=' by the time you do all of that, there have been 3 other post in the thread.[/quote'] Exactly what does "all of that" constitute? Counting how many lines you've typed? Pressing the Preview button? If your RP gets three extra posts in the tiny amount of time it takes to do that, then either you're abominably slow or your RP sucks. I understand the preview button' date=' I've never used it though.[/quote'] Ah, so you knew a solution existed to your problem, and you just chose not to take it because... um... Yeah, this topic is ending here.
