-Uses the planet's life stream to become the God of the Planet.

Hmm, tough call, I'd say tie. God of Magic, God of the Planet, I can't call it.

Well I would agree with awesome if it weren't for the fact that Sephiroth never actually achieved that god-like power he wanted. So Became God>Almost became god.

Really big, six winged angel Sephiroth says hi. I can't remember if it's name is Safer Sephiroth or Seraph Sephiroth. I read somewhere that the name was mistranslated, so it's not Safer Sephiroth, but I can't remember what it was.

 

Safer Sephiroth isn't a god (I don't think), but still powerful enough that he could hold his own against Kefka.

I don't want an extensive arguement about this, but I will say this: gameplay does not equal story. Sephiroth's monstrous powers outside of story, in battle do not put him on the level of Kekfa's story powers to destroy towns thousands of miles away simply by waving his hand around.

Again, awesome66, Supernova is gameplay not story. Sephiroth cannot just go destroying the solar system on a whim. Even Meteor isn't his own strength, it's the black materia.

Any attack they can do in the game they can do in the Storyline. Otherwise, it would be like they are different people, with different abilities and limitations. Sephiroth COULD destroy the solar system, it's just the Square had him not do that in the storyline so that the players would actually be able to stop Sephiroth's plan.

 

Also, they didn't let him do that in the storyline because he needed the planet to still be alive to take in it's lifestream.

I wouldn't be so quick to select Sephy. Although he can destroy the Solar System, as well as having ALL of the versions of his theme song be badass, Kefka became a God of Magic. I'm still going with a tie.

Hold up. If Kefka destroyed the world, then how come Terra beat him? I mean, otherwise, all you'd be doing is spending your time getting through the game just to reveal that the characters in the game lose.

 

Secondly, Sephiroth uses Supernova in every Seraph Sephiroth battle. So, doesn't that mean Sephiroth DID destroy the Solar System?

Kefka needed the statues to get his god power.
