Clawborne looked at Eron. Explosives? What was she thinking?

"You can't destroy the temples! They are sacred posts to worship gods! I'll have you know, I am a weapons master. I have stood against the Grundors before. I can hold my own against them." He looked around at the others. "Let me go in first. I can weaken them, soften them up. Then the rest of you can come in and finish them off. How's that sound? That way, only a few people will get hurt, the temples won't be destroyed, and the Grundors will be killed." He again looked at Eron. "I will not allow you to destroy the temples; I will do whatever I have to to prevent you from doing so."

OoC: What time period is this in?

OOC: *Shrugs* Dunno.

Captain Blue knew this secret. "I have already burned a city down of Grundors, & I destroyed everything except their cots & ransacked their library. So your task will be easier. I have a strategy. Destroy their city's main resources during the night & kill all awake. Then surprise them in the morning." He explained. "I tried this on our neighbouring Grundor village, it works. And I have seen the temples from the first battle. They are far enough away to use this plan successfully & burn down the city without damaging anything.

OOC: Oh, & Captain Blue looks a heck of alot like X Drake, except a few inches shorter.

OOC: Spartan, I'd appreciate it if you would not be able to read people's minds and tell what they were thinking about them, unless they show facial expressions described in the post. Somewhat Godmodish to me.

Michael shook his head in disapproval. He put up his index finger and wagged it side ot side quite quickly at Clawborne. He replied "No, no, no. That won't work, because I don't think you quite get what I'm saying. They are everywhere, if we take one we have to take them all. More importantly, I don't plan on setting the temple on fire, because if we do we will destroy what they're hiding, which could be a key element that we could use to our advantage. I planned on planting explosives, perhaps smoke explosives so we don't light up the temple unintentionally, and smoke the Grundors out, so we can storm the temple for ourselves."

Michael crossed his arms, and stared at the floor. He began to imagine the plan in his head, in a somewhat vivid slideshow of pictures, rather than a movie. The smoke explosives would be planted around the perimeter, as they awaited in trees. The Grundors would retreat so they could gain their sight, they swoop in, they might have to take out a couple that were scattered to get in the cloud of smoke, then storm the temple. Perfect, and Michael couldn't resist a little smirk.

OoC: Gotcha awesome66, sorry

IC: Clawborne nodded. Smoke grenades would be a great strategic option. He looked at the map, the three temples. He saw but one problem.

"We should cut off their communication, if they have any. We don't want them to call for help from the other temples. Cut off communication...or attack all three at the same time." He shook his head. "It would be too risky to attack all three at one time; that would weaken our numbers, and possibly cost us the battle. So...how do we keep the Grundors from communicating and calling for help?"

Michael shrugged, as if there were a quite simple answer. "However, these temples are quite a ways apart. They are miles apart, so we will have to come back to base to regroup after each temple. Also, Shynrioc is also, well, a god. So we may end up losing this war. However, for some reason there have been lots of strange, well, things happening. I heard about one village that was overrun by Grundors, and everyone was stuck in their homes, when a gust of wind simply blows all of them away. Weird."

The traveler, after wiping the black ooze from his rapier, sheathed it and was on his way to his next destination. He exited the forest and came to an open field. "Dang, perhaps I took a wrong turn there in that forest, ah well, I get there when I get there." The man thought as he just kept walking as he looked up at the vast black sky that was still set upon him. A swift yet mild breeze past through the field, moving the grass timidly as he walked through. "Silence...is perfection." He stated as he walked further and further from the view of the forest...

Clawborne nodded at what Michael said. "That is weird. I've heard similar accounts from various villages, but took all of them to be false. Now I'm not sure what to think." He paused, contemplating, then spoke up again. "Would there be a private place in this building that I could go to to 'change?'" He hefted his haversack, indicating that he wanted to change into what he had hidden in it. "I'd like to prepare for this attack."

ooc: Almost forgot about this...

Finally making his way across the field, the man stopped at a peaceful and crystal clear lake he spotted in the distance. How odd that this place hasn't been infected by darkness yet... The traveler thought, finding it a miracle that there were any places like this left in the world at all. I wonder how long it's been...since I've had my life taken from me. He made perplexing thoughts inside his own had as he stared deeply into the calm blew waters, blown ever so slightly by the soothing breeze that seemed to come by every now and then...
