[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"Raaa" he punches the ground, angered at the fact that he had been "allowed" to remain in the competition, he looked at Mei-li and threw the book besides her. "Let's go." She looks like she's about to cry. "Let's just leave....your obviously not ready for this" he smiles looking towards the others, smelling ore spectators nearby. "You'll regret this Cogsworth, I swear you will." He looks back at Mei-li for one second before walking away from her, she looks at the book and picks it up, she doesn't know why she followed him, but being called stupid wasn't enjoyable.

"Well, that was anticlimatic," Dan muttered. He made some jottings on the pad. Beside him, Jio fidgeted. He looked longingly at the book laying in the dirt. he pushed forward, shuffling the bushes. Dan grabbed him.

 

"The book is right there! I could easily get it!" Jio protested.

 

"Idiot!" Dan growled as he punched Jio. "what kind of a king uses such underhanded methods!" While they talked, the mamodo retrieved the book.

 

"Now look what happened! The chance is gone!" The two were soon fighting it out, rolling back around in the bush that hid them.

"Wait a second James.....I sense another mamodo, close by." He turned around and saw Dan and Jio fighting.

 

"What?" Hey, you two, do you have a spell book?"

 

"Don't just say that outloud, do you want to attract many mamodo at once?"

 

"Too late now."

"Next time....when I say use the spell, we'll stop anybody from.....offending you...." he sighed as he looked around, smelling more mamodo, but it seemed that there was more reason to why Mei would not say the spell, he could feel something wrong in her, but he didn't say anything, he felt she had no more heart power, but there was something else. she smiled and looked at him when he turned around. "So....who's Aura?" she asked looking at him slyly. "someone I truly hate...." she was surprised at the remark, but only a little, she was starting to see what kind of person Nazo was.

By this time, Raikunu and Raizen had already been able to get a bit closer, with Raikunu leading the way by a few feet. They seemed to be running pretty, fast, but the closer they got, the harder it became to avoid the cosmonic beams that the small mamodo launched at them.

Raizen had almost tripped and was pretty tired, but he was able to yell the spell

"Kagemuzi!" he yelled. Raikunu fired the shadow ball, but they dodged it easily. They snicked a few times, and while they did this, Raikunu and Raizen were planning.

After a while they charged again, this time, Raikun jumped high into the air, and the shadow ball was launched. This time, they were hit, being distracted by Raizen, they weren't able to notice Raikun in the air until the end. The book that the girl held was starting the burn in a shadowy flame, slowly disappearing, along with the small mamodo.

Raizen and Raikun walked over to them. The madodo's last words were:

"I'll see you in the mamodo world soon enough..."

[zaneko]

"Ah..." Dan and Jio both said. They leapt to their feet. The glanced at each other ackwardly before Dan grinned evilly.

"Kukuku," he chuckled. "It seems like you discovered us."

 

"Kekeke," Jio picked up. "You are going to regret that." The began an elaberate and strange dance (think ginyu force).

 

"I am the one who's name silences crying babes!"

 

"I am the demon of the spiralling energy!"

 

"I am he who tames the wild!" Dan drew his whip and snapped it.

 

"I am he who manipules the world!" Jio's scarf spiralled around him.

 

"Dino, the Conquerer!" Dan leapt over to the left. At the same time, Jio leapt right.

 

"Jio the Victor!" As they twirled to wrap up the introduction, Jio's scarf tangled in Dan's whip and they both fell.

"As I said, I don't normally give out insults, but this embarasses me."

 

"Don't worry Cogsworth, I know how you feel. Ready?"

 

"Yeah, I'm ready."

 

"Hey, you two, are we gonna fight or what?"

Dan scowled and whipped out the book. His grip on the whips handle tightened. He sighed as his usual battle coolness seetled over him. Jio glanced at him before taking his position a bit infront and to the right.

 

"Whenever you're ready," Dan said calmly. The pages of the book glowed slightly and he gathered his heart energy.

Raikunu nodded as he walked past the now fading mamodo. Raizen blinked at him

"So you'll just leave him to die...?" he asked, obviously clueless.

Raikunu didn't stop

"He's not dieing, he's fading back to the mamodo world...And, there's nothing we can do about it, so we might as well start leaving now..." he said, coldly, sounding a bit heartless.

Raizen nodded slowly and followed after him.

"I can sense the presence of other mamodo nearby...Tell me, human, has the 2nd spell appeared in the book yet?" Raikunu asked.

Raizen flipped open the book and scanned it. The 2nd spell seemed to be there, but it was a bit faint and still not readable. So Raizen shook his head, answering Raikun's question.

ooc: You gain your second spell after a very emotional scene, like in the series.

 

IC:

"Now Cogsworth, just do what you normally do."

 

"Right", he ran towards them, but slid under Dan's legs. "Hmph", Cogsworth said, sweep kicking Dan's legs.

 

He'll just grab the book after it falls out of Dan's hands, genious.

"Damn," Dan swore as he fell. "Jio! B-4!" he threw the book up into the air just before he hit. Jio leapt and caught it. Meanwhile, Dan wrapped his whip around cogsworths legs and, in a quick motion that rolled him ot his feet, swung him along the ground.

Jio landed and tossed the book back to Dan, then charged at cogsworth. One thing that Dan learned was that the book was what bound the mamodo to the human world. As Jio leapt onto cogsworth, Dan called out the first spell.

"Zirato!"

My pupils widened, Cogsworth won't be fast enough on his on. I threw open the book as Cogsworth started to roll, "Raiso!"

 

Time slowed, leaving me and Cogsworth to move at what would appear to be a faster speed, when the only thing happening was everything else slowing. He was able to avoid the attack, just barely, before time started back up normally. "Ha, good job James, we're so in synch with each other."

 

I sighed, "we sure are", that was too close for comfort. Wait, I have an idea! "Cogsworth", I called, "get over here."

 

He ran back over to me, "you have an actual plan now?"

 

"Yes", I bent down and eyed him, putting my hand on his shoulder. "You have said that a few mamodo can cast spells by themselves, if they're holding the book, and you're one of them. Is that right?"

 

"Yeah, that's right....", he said with a puzzled yet excited look.

 

"Then I'll give you the book and you just follow my lead." I handed the spell book over to Cogsworth as he took it.

 

He smiled, "you....trust me?"

 

"You bet! Alright, let's go now."

[Dark Lightning]

Raikunu stopped, his eyes widen and his ears twitched a bit

"That's mamodo power, alright..." he grunted, trying to pin point the location in his mind. Raizen looked at him with a rather puzzled face, by Raikun seemed to ignore it. Raikun then quickly spotted a building with a ladder attacked to the side, leading towards the roof

"There..." he said, pointing towards the building.

Raizen nodded and started to climb the ladder, as he breathed heavily. To Raizen's surprise, Raikunu didn't need to climb the ladder, he just pretty much blasted himself into the air, landing on the rooftop.

"Hurry up and get up here, Rai!" Raikun yelled at him from below.

When they both reached the top, Raikun tried to find out where the other mamodo were.

Jio stood in the crater his attack dug, his right fist smoking.

"Che, it missed." Jio scowled.

"Stupid," Dan sighed. You wasted the chance I gave you. Dan watched as Cogsworth took his book from his master. Strange, Dan thought. Don't mamodo need a human to cast their spells? They most be up to something.

"Get ready Jio," Dan cautioned.

Cogsworth ran to the left, towards the mamodo, and I ran right, towards the human.

 

"Alright man", I said, "get ready to lose."

 

"Yeah, there's no way you can stand up to us." Cogsworth stopped and jumped to the side, headbutting the mamodo.

 

I did the same to the human.

Dan gasped as james slammed into him. With his right hand, he grabbed James hair.

"Jio!" he forced out. "A-6!" He held the book in his left hand out of James' reach and slammed the elbow of the same hand into James' back. He leapt back from him and looked over at Jio.

Jio had used his scarf to grab Cogsworth by his shoulders and had him perfectly potitioned. Dan took the initative.

"Jio- set!" Jio raised his fist in response to the predetermined code. "ZIRATO!"

"Raiso!", yelled Cogsworth.

 

Once again, time slowed. I held my stomach in response to the beating, but walked over and punched Dan in the jaw, knocking out a large tooth. "......"

 

Cogsworth, on the other hand, grabbed the back of Jio's scarf and used it to choke him, stopping the spell. "Take this!"

 

Me and Cogsworth smirked.

[zaneko]

Dan coughed then spat up some blood. "I like my teeth in my mouth you know."

Jio, struggled a bit with the scarf before closing his eyes and focusing. The scarf snapped open and knocked Cogsworth away. Jio retreated to Dan's side, rubbing his neck.

"Dan, we need a new plan. I refuse to let this pest beat me."

"Sure, sure," Dan sighed. He shifted the book. "how bout b-7?"

"B-7," Jio affirmed.

"Then, set rapid!" Dan ordered. Jio clenched both fists. "Ready..." Dan said. He took a deep breath. "Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato," another breath. "Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato, Zirato!" The barrage spread widley across the field in and unavoidable wall. Dan snapped his whip and caught James' ankle, pulling him down before the attacks could hit him, then, with a firm snap, sent him flying to a wall over a dozen meters away.

"What the hell is that!!??" I said as I smacked into the wall of energy, "ahhhhhh!"

 

"No, James", Cogsworth ran over to me, "why, why was it you?" He looked up at Dan and Jio, "you sick monsters. Attacking a human when you know that a mamodo body is much stronger. Why.....why James?" He looked up, anger now fueling his actions, "I'll make this right."

 

"Ungh......Cog...Cogsworth", I tried to stand, but got to my knees at best. ".....I told you that I'll stay with you until the end....and that's just what I plan to do."

 

"James, you're too injured, and I can read the spells myself, let me take care of this."

 

"No, you look at me."

 

Cogsworth did as he was told, and turned to look me in the eyes, "......"

 

"We will do this together", the book started glowing a bright blue, "and we will!" I stook up and Cogsworth handed me the book, "what's going on here?" I shielded my eyes from the bright light, "huh? Cogsworth, look, it's the next spell!"

 

"Then cast it. Now."

 

"Right", I placed my fingers under each word as I read, "the second spell, Ciphera!"

[Zeroke]

I was only able to watch, I couldn't understand why they chose such a barbaric way to determine the next King. That mamodo, he knew Aura. How do they know eachother? Nazo was his name, should I ask Aura? I decided against it. I walked back home after the fight had ended. That mamodo, Nazo, his eyes were as cold as ice, his voice full of venom when he said her name. I decided to put it off for later, I was already exhausted from the previous fight.

When I opened the door, Aura was sitting on the couch with a worried look on her face.

"Where have you been?!" She yelled at me, her voice quivering. "I heard an explosion, and you weren't there. Was it another mamodo?"

"No, there was a gas leak. I ran to see if anyone was hurt." I lied.

"Oh, you had me worried."

"Why don't you go back to sleep, I'll tell you the next time I head out, okay?"

"Okay."

Aura headed up towards Zeroke's room. She couldn't get that explosion out of her mind. It wasn't the explosion itself, just the wave of memories it brought.

"Was that...Nazo?" She shook uncontrollably at the thought of him...

Raizen and Raikun both looked up at the sound of a second spell fired

"Cogsworth...huh....? So he's achieved the 2nd spell..." he muttered to himself...

"You know what this means, right..?" Raikun said, assuming that Raizen heard his mutter. Raizen nodded

"Were gonna have to get the 2nd spell..." Raizen sighed. By this time, Raikun was able to tell where the mamodo power had come from

"But I think it'd be pretty stupid if we went over there and got involved in that fight...Since we only have 1 spell..." Raikun muttered, going into thought.

[Zeroke]

"Are you well, Aura?" I asked.

"Yes, much better." she replied. "The mamodo are getting stronger, let us go practice."

"Right." I grabbed the book and put it under my arm. We both headed out the door.

"Where should we go this time?" Aura asked me.

"The forest. That way, even if we are spotted we can hide."

"They can still sense us." She said in a small voice. She suddenly jerked her head up, looking all around her.

"What is it?" Worried for what was about to come.

"N-Nazo. He near!" She replied in a worried voice.

"Nazo? Who is he?"

"H-he's no one." I could see her shaking. I put my arm around her shoulder for comfort. She gained control of herself after a minute.

"What did he do to you?" I said. She averted her eyes, she didn't want to talk about it. "Let's go to the woods aready!" She yelled. She ran ahead of me, I sprinted after her. What did that Nazo guy do to her? He better hope that we don't ever meet again. If he hurt Aura, I swear I'll take him down.

We arrived at the woods...

Nazo wasn't pleased with his loss, he had let 3 mamodo's get away, but he blamed himself, he was too eager to go out with an emotionally unstable human partner. He couldn't believe the fact that Cogsworth had actually stood up against him, "I guess this tournament is making all the weak mamodo brave..." he laughs a little. "So I wonder how Aura is doing, that one human had her scent...he must be her partner...." he looks at Mei-li, she seemed so confused and scared, in order to get back on track with this ordeal, he would have to give her a few words of..."confidence"

Raikun felt another mamodo's presence nearby

"Nazo...That's surely him..." he muttered to himself.

Raizen looked around

"Is he close by...?" he asked, still examining the surrounding areas. Raikun jumped down, off the building and landed on his feet. Raizen wished he could do the same, but would probably end up breaking a few bones, so he decided the take the ladder once again.

Raikun then nodded

"He's close..." he spoke as he started walking about.

While walking Nazo had been "Persuading" Mei-li into believing that he would be a good king, and also, he offered her a chance, to finally stand up for herself with his power. It seemed he was being sensed by others, but soon afterwards, he stopped dead in his tracks. "This smell.....the boy from before.....and..." he gave a horrible smile."I can sense the white book nearby...." he looks around and can sense another mamodo nearby, if it came down to it, he would take care of him as well. "Mei-li....Remember, I am the only one that can stand up for you right now....and together...we'll defeat all who make you feel bad....now then...let's start....I sense two mamodo in the woods...."
