Bio:She has always lived quite a lonely life, while her parents were always very loving, they never seemed to have time for her for anything, thus making her life awkward for herself to live, She also had a hard time making friends, and to this day can only call the people that take advantage of her kindness as her friends. She has always been weak willed and does not like to hurt people, which puts her at odds with her Mamodo, who is very commanding, but wants her to also become more assertive.

Zeroke's Saga: Begins now...

 

Silence, Solitude. This is what I faced every day of my life. No one talked to me at Kiyo High School, and that is just how I want it. Everyone seems to be scared of me. After school, I would walk to the Gym, push myself to my limits then walk home. No one was ever home, my father worked all day long, and my mother...she isn't with us anymore. I soon found myself being followed by this strange girl. She had long white hair and light blue eyes. Her clothing was of a long purple gown, covered in a white cloth. I ignored her and walked home. Many hours later, someone rang the doorbell. I was surprised since no one ever comes to visit. I open the door to see the same girl standing in front of me.

"Can you read from this book?" she says in a quiet, gentle voice.

"W-what?" I said, confused.

She pulled out a white book with strange markings on the front. I didn't understand.

"I have watched you for several days. If I am correct, you should be able to read it." she whispered as a chill ran down my spine. She has been watching me?!

"Alright." my voice shaking. This girl wasn't normal.

That was when I had read the first words that would change my life forever...

I looked at him, "Cog, ummm, Cogs.....Cogsworth! Right?"

 

He looked down and shuffled his feet, "correct........."

 

"Well, you don't seem to be much of a talker. Do you have a family?"

 

"Well....", he looked back up and into my eyes, "I used to...."

 

My eyes watered slightly as I felt sympathy for him, "why don't you come live with me?"

 

"I may", Cogsworth said, pulling out a blue book, "if you can read this." He stretched his arm over to me, with the book in his palm, "please, try."

 

As strange as it seemed, I took the book from his small hands and opened it up. I whispered to myself, "wait, what, it's not even in english.....what's it in?" I placed my hand on the pages of the book, then it started glowing, a bright blue. "W-what's going on, wait a minute", I placed my hand on the book and moved my fingers below the words as I read, "the first spell.....?"

 

Cogsworth let out a short sigh of relief, "thank you, you are my human partner. I will explain everything when we get to your house, let's go."

 

"Well, ok, if you say." I closed the book and gave it back to Cogsworth, the headed home with him by my side.

[Zeroke]

As I read the book, I realized that it wasn't in English. Yet, somehow I could still understand it.

"The First Spell...Zur-" She had put her finger to my lips.

"Not now. May I come in." She requested with her finger shutting my mouth.

I pulled away and answered," If you want to..."

A smile broke across her face. I am not sure why, but that smile made her look incredibly beautiful. I was stunned as she walked in. I asked,

"Shouldn't you be home, it's already dark."

"I don't have anywhere to stay."

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't know." I said apoligetically.

"May I stay here?"

"W-w-what?!" I hadn't expected that to come out.

"It is very cold outside, and I am weary from my journey. Please?" She gazed at me with these big eyes.

"Uh, well...um sure." Trampling over my words.

I gave her my bed, while I slept downstairs on the couch. Why was she here, in my house? And what was with that book? I realized I was still holding it. I looked at it again. Why couldn't I read any of the other words? Why only the first few lines?

"I'll just ask her tomorrow." I said to myself. I drifted off into a deep sleep...

Legend of Nazo, commences...

 

"Man...work was really hard today....." A young 16 year-old girl with long blue hair said as she walked out of her Chinese Diner. "I wonder why Everyone decided to take all their shifts off...I mean...it left me with a lot of work....luckily they'll still get their pay..." She states to herself, though in the background a dark voice simply says."man...you really are stupid....are you really just gonna let people walk all over you like that?"

It's a Young man, he looks about 16, but he has an odd marking in his eyes, like tears that go through them. "Uhm.....I don't know who you are, but that wasn't very nice to say...." He scoffs at her remark. "Ah shad ap!" with that he throws a book in her general direction, It was Black with Silver lining. "Look....I've been watching you carefully for a few days...." She blushes and looks around. "Really? I mean, I'm sorry for not noticing your feelings..." he stops her.

"That's not what I meant you dunderhead!!!!! Just read that god dang book already......crap...why did I end up with you?" She was very confused, but looked at the book, he seemed mean and was afraid that if she didn't read the book he might hurt her. "o...okay then....."

Her heart begins pounding as she places her hand in the engraved letters of the book, it certainly wasn't in her language, but for some reason, she could read the Purple glowing writing." The First Spell?" He simply smiles. "great...just great...it is you

I guess Dan's legends starts too...

 

Dan idly kicked a can down the alley that lead to his house. His jacket hung to one side awkwardly, weighted down by the history book in it's pocket. He sighed.

 

'I hope this Hitler guy didn't make the same mistakes all the others did,' he though to himself. 'It wont help if he made the same mistakes as all the others...'

 

He sighed and continued down the alley. He glanced up and noticed a kid with half black half white hair. The first thing he tought was that his hair style was way outdated. The kid scowled at him and tossed a green book his way.

 

"Read it," the kid growled. Dan blinked.

 

"Huh?"

 

"Just do it!" he growled again. Dan shrugged and opened the book. The pages were covered with strange grey symbols. He was about to say he couldn't, but he realized that the top like was green. He looked closely at it and saw that he could actually read it.

 

The first spell? Dan frowned. "Who are you kid?"

 

"My name is Jio. I am the one who will rule the world!" Dan punched him over the head.

 

"Like hell you will!" he yelled. "The world is mine to rule! You think a brat like you can do it?"

 

"As is you can do any better!" Jio yelled back. Tears welled in his eyes. Dan tossed the book back at him and ambled off.

 

"What use is the 'fist spell anyway?'" he grumbled.

 

"You can read it!" Jio grinned. "That means you are my partner! Hey!" he said as Dan continued to walk off. "Don't ignore me." He ran after him. Dan grunted.

 

"The first spell, huh?" he mused quietly.

[Dark Lightning]

Raizen toured the streets. His hair blowing in the wind, sometimes in his face, and his hands in his pockets. He was looking at the sky, thinking. Before he knew it he had crashed into some strange boy, that had looked about 2 years younger than him. He gave Raizen a glare than walked off. Raizen shrugged it off casually and continued walking. He remembered that the boy was carrying some strange book with the strangest symbols on the cover.

As it got dark, Raizen headed home and found himself asleep before he knew it. The next day, his t.v was roaring

"Guess I left it on..." he thought out loud.

He grabbed the control and was about to turn it off, when he heard something interesting on the news. Raizen turned to the t.v and watched

"Early this morning, a mini van driver lost control of the wheel..." The news report spoke "Citizens watched in panic as the mini van approached a little girl! Paralyzed with fear, the little girl couldn't make a single move! People on the streets were crying, as there seemed nothing that could stop the van..."

Raizen saw a faint image of the boy that he saw earlier, on the street. He was stopping the van, with only 1 hand; The other hand holding the book. Raizen's mouth dropped at the sight.

"Until came a mysterious boy, looking about 14 in age, stopping the mini van! Using nothing but his hands! After the girl was safe, he disappeared. Police are searching for this boy, to thank him, but he has not appeared yet. Information of this boy is unknown, expect that he carried a dark blue book under his arm.." The news reporter concluded.

Raizen was shaky, but he grabbed his clothes and threw them on. He had wanted to find this boy and ask him questions, even if he didn't answer.

Raizen gripped the door and exited the house

"I'm going out..." he grunted faintly for his parents to hear. With that he started spiriting around. First he checked the park, nothing. Then he checked the local stores, nothing. Lastly he checked the Market nearby, where everyone came. He wasn't there either. Before he knew it, he found himself in an abandoned shack. He looked at and sighed. Before turning around to go back home, he heard someone call

"What do you want..."

It was more of a grunt, but it was good enough to make Raizen turn. There he was, that boy, he sat on the roof at the shack, looking down at Raizen with a glare.

"You know who I am...?" Raizen asked, his voice still a bit shaken.

The boy nodded and jumped down from the roof , landing perfectly, a few feet in front of Raizen.

"Sure I do, your that clumsy guy who crashed into me yesterday..." he grunted, still glaring.

"Sorry bout that...." Raizen said, forcing out a smile. He examined the boy, he still held that book; Raizen became curious.

"Hey, um, what's with that book?" Raizen asked, inching closer to the boy. The boy seemed to be going into thought, after a while he threw the book towards Raizen.

"Can you read it?" he asked, still not in a friendly tone.

Raizen opened the book and looked at the symbols. There were so strange. He nodded as he read

"Kagemuzi...?" he said, altough nothing happened. He then looked at the boy with a puzzled face.

The boy nodded

"So you can read it, huh?" he said, carelessly "Guess your my partner..."

Raizen stood and looked at him, confused

"Partner....?"

The boy nodded as he took the book back

"My human partner...See, I'm a mamodo. All mamodo must fight for the place of the king. We've been sent here to find a human partner. There are a lot more mamodo hoping to become king..."

Raizen still looking puzzled

"Um...ok...What do I have to do...?" he said, a bit dizzy.

"Just read the spells in this book...With experience, the spells will start appearing..." he said "What you just read, was the 1st spell..."

The boy then started walking to a field behind the abandoned shack.

"I'm Raikunu, by the way..."

"I'm Raizen..." Raizen replied.

ooc: Dark Lightning, please keep your posts shorter, a lot shorter. The rules say 4-9 lines, you can go a little over, but not by that much.

 

IC:

"So, Cogsworth, this is where I live", I told him as we reached my home, made of purely reinforced lead, iron, and cobalt. "....Sorry it's so messy", I said as I opened the front door, "my parents are asleep, so we need to be quiet."

 

"Okay." Cogsworth followed as I walked inside, carefully stepping beside the books and papers. "What do your parents do for a living?"

 

"They're scientists, but I was never into that kind of stuff."

 

"They must be very smart, you too."

 

"Well, yeah, they're pretty succesfull at their job. I'm not as smart as them though."

 

"But you can read my book, so you're very useful...."

 

"Oh yeah, the book...you still have to explain everything to me", I said as we entered my room, which was strangely clean, compared to the rest of the house.

 

"Right........"

Raizen followed Raikunu until they were in an open field, out of everyone's sight

Well, now I know how he stays so well hidden...

Raikunu turned to looked at Raizen

"Now, mind reading the 1st spell again?" he asked, as he stood a few feet in front of Raizen, handing him the book "But say it with more...Spirit..."

Raizen nodded as he opened it up

"Kagemuzi...!" he yelled.

Almost immediately after he said this, Raikunu held up his finger and pointed to a boulder nearby us; A Shadow Ball appeared on the tip of his finger, small at first, but gradually increasing in size, until it was launched and blasted into the boulder, almost completely destroying it.

[Zeroke]

I woke up with a startle. I thought I heard something, "Must be that girl." I whispered to myself. I walked upstairs to find that she was fully awake, sitting on my bed.

"Good, you're awake. My name is Aura." The girl, Aura said.

"What was that noise?"

"I fell off in my sleep." Rubbing her head as she answered.

"Are you okay?" Worried she might be hurt.

"Yes, I am feeling good. I want to talk to you about something...have you ever heard of a Mamodo?" She asked.

"No, I haven't." I replied, confused.

"Well a Mamodo is someone who comes from a different world. We Mamodo come here to fight for the role of the next Mamodo King. I am one of these Mamodo, out of 100. I fight to hope that the world can be peaceful, like our last ruler made it. Do you follow so far?"

I stared at her as if she just grew a third arm. She must of hit her head pretty hard. I decided to play along. "Yes, I follow."

"Good. We use spells to fight eachother that are written in a book. Each Mamodo can only use these spells with their human partner, and you are my partner for only you can read my book. Speaking of which, where is it?"

"Uh, it's downstairs." I said.

"What?! Grab it quickly!" she nearly screamed.

"O-ok!" I came back up with the mysterious white book in my hands.

"Don't lose sight of it! If the book is destroyed, I will be back in the mamodo world! If the book is hit with an enemy spell, it will burn and I'll disappear." Aura said with a mix of anger, worry, and sorrow.

"Sorry, I didn't know." I opened the book, and read..."Zuru-"

"Don't read it in here unless you want your house torn apart." Aura said as she smacked the book from my hands. "Do you have anywhere to be?"

"No. It's Saturday"

"Do you know of a barren place?"

Afraid to answer I said, "There are some rocky cliffs not too far from here."

"Let us go there then, if you want to know what this spell can do." She said.

I didn't have anything better to do, so I decided to go along...

[Dark Lightning]

Raizen's jaw dropped in obvious astonishment

"Um...What was that...?" he said quietly, trying to regain his calm. Raikunu seemed to busy to answer, he was examining his finger

"Perfect...At this rate, we should reach the 2nd spell in no time at all..." he mumbled to himself. Raizen looked at the sky, the clouds and the sun were no where to be seen; It was getting dark.

"Anyway I need to go home, here's your book!" he said, his voice fading as he ran back home. Raikunu stared as he left, with a blank expression on his face.

Raizen entered his house, panting. He got a glass of water and drank it all in one gulp. Raizen ran up the stairs, still panting, he opened his room and sat down on his bed

"That...Was...Really weird..." he spoke in between pants "Maybe I was dreaming..."

He then slowly drifted away into sleep.

[Twin Seed]

"Listen closely", Cogsworth said, "once, every thousand years, a war is waged to determine the next king of the mamodo world. Of course, I'm a mamodo, and what you're holding is my spell book....All spell books have that same symbol on the front and back, but are all different colors. 100 mamodos are sent from the mamodo world to Earth for the war, and 1 is left standing. When mamodos fight, the loser's book burns, and the mamado is sent back to the mamodo world. Pretty simple, isn't it?"

 

"Well, I suppose, but why can I only read 1 spell? And what does this spell do?"

 

"Very legitimate questions you have, but, to be honest, I'm not enitrely sure why you can only read the first spell as of now. But trust me, later on, you'll be able to read more and more, there're six spells for each mamodo. I can read them myself, but they're much more powerful if my partner reads them, and that's you. As for your other question, the spell Raiso slightly slows down time, just long enough for me to dodge an attack, and can only be cast if one of us is being attacked, the time shift doesn't effect either of us."

 

"I see, I may have more questions later, but it seems pretty explained now.......100 mamado....."

[Zeroke]

3 hours later...

 

"This is a great spot to practice!" Aura yells, her voice echoeing.

The landscape was mostly of rocks, with cliffs the size of buildings. This area is too far for anyone to really care about hiking all the way here. "So what are we practicing?"

"We are going to try out the first spell. You did bring the book, didn't you?" She stares at me.

"Yes, I did." Pulling it out of the backpack.

"Good, read the first spell please." She turns around and puts her arm in front of her.

"Okay...Zurun." Nothing happened, I wasn't surprised.

"No, you have to say it with feeling!"

"What?"

"Yell it with feeling and emotion! Otherwise it won't work!"

Irritated, I thought of all the people who hated me, all of those who bullied me. Made fun of me...Then with great anger I screamed, "ZURUN!"

A blue ball appeared in front of Aura's palm, then a blue streak ripped across the terrain. Leaving a huge gouge in the ground in front of her.

"What was that?!" On the verge of panic.

"That was the first spell, Zurun."

It was then that I started to believe what she had said before. Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones who witnessed the attack...

Raizen woke up that morning and sighed a big sigh of relief

"So It was just a dream..." he muttered. Knowing this, he calmed down and sat up. To his surprise, there was Raikunu, sitting on Raizen's desk, looking at Raizen's various drawings and homework assignments.

Raizen got back down and closed his eyes

"You have got to be kidding me..." he muttered to himself.

"Hey..." Raikunu said, jumping off the desk and walking over to him "Remember, your my partner now, your gonna help me become the next King of The Mamodo world"

Raizen sat up again, with a rather baffled look on his face

"Mamodo World...And your sure I'm not dreaming...?"

Raikunu shook his head

"Now cmon..." he said, walking out of Raizen's room.

Raizen put on a shirt and decided to follow him.

After a night a uncomforatable sleep, I woke up and cracked my spine, "agh...."

 

Cogsworth was already up, probably in the kitchen, digging around in the cabinets, he hasn't eaten yet afterall.

 

I sighed, "where are you?" So I got up out of my bed and walked down the hall to the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth, then I was off to the kitchen for breakfast. But what I saw, shocked me, Cogsworth had his hat off, and he had horns sticking out of his head. "Cogsworth....what the heck??"

 

"Hmm, is something wrong", he asked, sipping a glass of milk.

 

"Y-you've got horns growing out of your head!"

 

"Oh, yes, all mamodo do. After we eat, we really should try to find a mamodo to fight."

 

"Umm, right, right." I went over to the rifigerator and pulled out some leftover sphegetti from a couple of nights ago, "guess mom and dad have already headed off to work." I heated up the sphegetty in a small, ruby-colored microwave for a few seconds.

 

Beep, beep, beep....

 

I grabbed the sphegetti, a fork, and pulled up a chair to eat.

[Zeroke]

"Well, well, well...if it isn't Aura." A high-pitched male voice said behind us. I turn around only to be hit by a wave of water. I hit the ground hard, this water was as heavy as lead.

"Zeroke!" Aura screamed. She helps me up as another wave comes at us.

"Zurun!" I yelled. The blue blast rips through the wave.

"Oh, so already found you're human partner." The small man said. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Malaki. This is my partner, Zack." He points to a man with an angry expression on his face. His hair was brown and his clothes were a dark blue. "Prepare to die, Alarun!" said Zack. A jet of water blasts from Malaki's mouth.

"Zurun!" They collide, creating an explosion of water and blue. "Aura, are you okay?! Who are these guys?"

"They are our enemies in this War. We cannot let them destroy the book! Use the spell to hit theirs!"

"Alright, Zurun!"

"That weak attack isn't going to work." Malaki snickered. Use the third spell.

"Hulron!"...

Meanwhile...

 

Me and Cogsworth left my house and headed towards Bimski, the next town over, to look for another holder of the book. "So, Cogsworth, do you think the other mamodo have become strong yet? I know that we haven't, but you're probably strong anyway."

 

"I don't know about others, but I'm strong physically more than mentally, though I am quite intellegent."

 

"Really, so, when do you think we'll find another?"

 

"I assume you mean another mamodo, well we can sense each others' pressence, but that doesn't mean that we know who it is. And actually, I do sense another's pressence." Cogsworth stopped and looked up, "he's in the air, and seems to be with a human."

 

"I see, well, do we just wait for him to-"

 

"Wait!", Cogsworth turned quickly, "he's behind us!"

 

"W-what!?" I looked around, "where??"

 

"Now he's right in front of us!", he said, quickly turning back around.

 

"We must be dealing with a mamodo that can teleport."

 

His pupils widened, "yes, that's it! Kimp, it's Kimp, the mamodo of teleportation!"

 

A red-ish mamodo stepped out from behind a tree with a human holding a light ruby book, "that's right Cogsworth, Kimp has arrived."

 

"And I'm Harry", said a tall, dark haired man, then smirked....

[Dark Lightning]

Raizen saw his parents preparing breakfast downstairs. He noticed that his parents would start questioning him if they saw Raikunu. Noticing this, he quickly grabbed Raikunu and pulled him into a hallway

"How did you get in here?!" he yelled, quietly, so that his parents wouldn't hear

"Your window has open..." he said, carelessly "Now, cmon, we need to train..."

This guy...Is nuts...

Raikunu jumped out of Raizen's window, and landed safely, he then motioned for Raizen to come down. Raizen zoomed down the stairs, and exited his house, refusing breakfast. He slid his hands into his pockets

"So, were going back to that place from yesterday...?" Raizen yawned as he met up with Raikunu.

Raikunu nodded. In no time they were back at the field nearby the abandoned shack.

[Zeroke]

A cascade of water erupted from Malaki's mouth. Stopping our attack and covering the entire area in water.

"This spell floods the area around us with water. Allowing us to use it." laughed Malaki.

"Aura, we have to get out of here." I whispered. She nods in reply. Aura and I run up towards the hill, which leads into a forest.

"Oh no you don't!" Malaki yelled.

"Munon!" A wave appears, throwing us back.

"What will you do?" said Malaki.

I wasn't sure what to do at all...

"Kimp....", whispered Cogsworth.

 

"Harry.....I bet you use this power to pull off all sorts of heists, don't you?"

 

 

"Heh, you bet. I'm stinkin' rich with this guy by my side, and I'm not giving up this power for anything!"

 

 

I snickered, "I guess we'll have to do this the hard way."

 

"Remember", said Cogsworth, "you have to say the spell with emotion."

 

 

"Hmph", Harry opened up his book, "Raisasu!"

 

 

A bright light came out of nowhere and I was transported to the other side of the field, about 30 feet away from Cogsworth, "what the? Hmmm, I should be quicker on the draw next time." I ran towards Harry and Kimp at full speed, having them watch me while Cogsworth snuck up behind them, "now, Cogsworth, attack them!"

 

He was quickly behind them and started to punch at Kimp.

 

 

"Rairuso!", yelled Harry in stunned aggresion.

 

Another bright light appeared, consuming Kimp, and he started to teleport.

 

 

"Not this time", I opened the book, "Raiso!"

 

Suddenly time slowed except for me and Cogsworth, leaving him just enough enough time to stop Kimp's spell, and to attack. Then it sped back up to normal speed, and Kimp went flying back after a powerful punch.

 

"Yeah, that's it!"

[Dark Lightning]

Raikunu stopped

"Seems that most of the other mamodo have found their human partners..." he muttered to himself.

Raizen also stopped

"So...Do you have to meet up with them or something...?" he yawned quietly

"No, you baboon, I have to fight them, until their books are burned..." Raikunu sighed. Suddenly Raikunu jumped towards Raizen, pushing out of the way of what seemed to be a Cosmonic Beam.

Raizen looked up while he was on the ground, he saw a small figure, walking along side a taller figure.

"Raikunu..." The small figure spoke.

"Raikunu, who is this guy...?" Raizen grunted, lifting himself off the ground. Raikunu also stood up

"Hell if I know, there are a lot of mamodo who know me, but I've never met them..."

[Zeroke]

I am surrounded by Malaki's element. I can only use one spell which is useless in this arena. To top it off, Aura and I are wounded. What am I supposed to do?

"Alarune!" A jet of water rises from the lake, speeding towards Aura.

"No!" I scream. I jump in front of the attack, the water hitting me like a boulder. "Guh, uh..."

"Zeroke!" Aura yells.

"I'm alright." I lied.

"Why did you do that?"

"Aren't I your partner? I'll protect you, they won't touch you. Gah!" I double over in pain

"Zeroke..." Aura said softly.

"This is all very touching, the battle ends here!" said Malaki.

"Murun!" said Zack. A giant wave the size of a building builds from the small ocean. It moves toward us.

"Aura, let's try this spell one more time, this time with all we have. Now that I believe you." I said.

"What, you didn't believe me?" Aura said playfully.

"...No. But that doesn't matter, let's try one last time." Aura nods. "Alright then, ZURUN!!!" I screamed the spell with all my heart. A blue orb appears from Aura's palm, the ball releases itself toward our enemy. My vision is covered in a dazzling blue light that rips through the sky. Both spells make contact, the blue auroric fury ripping through the wave like it wasn't even there.

"WHAT?! How can this be?!" Malaki raged.

"Run!" screamed Zack.

"Don't run you coward!" Malaki turns to see the spell envelope him. Zack runs as fast as he can, but is soon caught inside the attack. The book burns in his hands once he is hit. The energy soon disperses and the entire area is torn to shreds. Zack lay on the ground unconsious, Malaki runs toward his burning book.

"No, not now! I can't leave now! Noooo" Malaki screams as he disappears along with his book.

 

"Looks like we won." I said, tiredly.

"Yes. That was only one of the Mamodo we will face." Aura said.

"Come on, let's go home. You can stay at my place, my dad won't mind."

"Okay...ugh." Aura collapses on the ground.

"Aura!" I say in a panic.

"Don't worry, I'm just a little tired." I carry her in my arms and carry her to her new home. I hear of people talking about a shockwave that was caused by something in the cliffs as I walk...
