@"The Point in Comments & Suggestions?"

Brushfire

Question

Just to prove you wrong in saying stupid things like that, here's a list of ideas that have been implemented:

Multimedia category (Brushfire & Altair)

Questions, Comments & Suggestions separation (Brushfire)

100x100 avatars from 80x80 (Brushfire)

Graphic Competitions section (Ruby)

Debates section (Draco Straybyrn)

1-on-1 Contests section (I forgot)

Request's own sub-forum (I forgot who suggested that too)

No post count in Introductions [later revoked]

New Themes (Brushfire, various others) [being worked on, apparently]

Among others, that I just can't think of at the moment; I think those are the most notable one's, though.

To both of you, making a thread in reply to a thread that has been locked?

Am I the only one that see the dilemma here?

You cannot make a thread in response to a thread that has been locked. It breaks several rules at once.

5.) No spamming.

23.) No Flooding. - NEW!

24.) Other Rules.

Brushfire your statement was incredibly valid, yes, but the way you delivered it was minute to the power it held against the locked thread.

I made the statement about you wanting recognition towards your accepted ideas because the other alternative to posting this thread was the reason I just made. Quite frankly that statement was indeed out of line for me to see, but would you rather be called Arrogant or to be called an Antagonist?

I must re-iterate as well as address Crab Helmet.

I am not blind, and I am surely not willfully stupid.

This forum is for Questions & Help, not 'Post a thread in response to a thread that has been locked'.

Seriously Crab Helmet, you may have caught that and not acted upon it because you wanted to make obvious rebuttals to my comment, or you completely missed it. I certainly hope it is the former.

Spam is a short' date=' pointless, annoying message. Mine is none of the former.

Flooding is posting a lot of threads or posts during a short time frame. I did neither.

Other Rules is a safeguard for Mods, and as Crab chose not to use it that is also irrelevant.

I broke no rules.

I'd much rather call you an ignorant idiot who jumps to conclusions off of baseless accusations, than any of those.

My thread is related to another thread in this subject, and therefore belongs here. I'm sorry, did you just question Crab Helmet, a Super Moderator, on how to enforce the rules?

I'm sure Crab Helmet was just baiting you and making you look like an idiot rather than defending me, but I'm thankful for it nonetheless.

[/quote']

Spam is also pointless comments, your thread.

Flooding is posting useless threads, your thread.

The thread was closed therefore ending the discussion.

Whether or not a Moderator or a Super Moderator chose not to use these, doesn't mean that it isn't true.

I neither told him to do it, nor hinted towards any said action.

The fact that he is a Super Moderator means nothing, he posted thus I treat his post like that of any other member. That he is on the same basis for a conversation, whether or not that conversation leads anywhere important or not is beside the point.

You may call me an idiot, but what I said in regards to this thread is indeed correct. Even if you do not see it. I have no need to force you into believing it, nor anyone else for that matter.

Oh, I must point out that I was far from a conclusion. As my actual comment was a question, therefore insinuating that I was deliberating this thread and thus asked you to inform me of your opinion on my statement.

If it was a conclusion, I wouldn't have asked a question, and I certainly would have been more blunt.

Muluck... You're acting like the user linked to your IP. Stop.

My dear apologies sir.

I was not aware that if I acted like someone else it was against the rules.

As far as this thread goes, are we not allowed to make a statement and defend our beliefs?

I have done nothing more than just that, and I have no intentions of stretching it out any further.

Quite frankly I am ashamed I am the only that sees this.

So what I am getting from this is that you don't want people to question the existence of Comments & Suggestions because you want to continue being known for having your ideas implemented on a Forum?

Let's see. A thread was made claiming that suggestions made in the Comments & Suggestions forum are always ignored. Brushfire responded to this by listing suggestions that have been accepted' date=' thus proving the original assertion (that suggestions are always ignored) false. However, you decided to conclude that he was secretly leading a conspiracy to trick people into thinking that suggestions are sometimes accepted by... listing suggestions that were accepted... in order to make people only remember his suggestions that were accepted so that they wouldn't realize that no suggestions are ever accepted... and... no, you know what? I can't follow this nonsense. I haven't a bloody clue what sort of absurd moon-logic you're using here, because it makes so little sense that I'm not even entirely certain as to what you think you're saying. Don't be stupid.

That's just me, I don't know about anyone else.

You're probably in the minority here. Most people are literate.

What this thread should be about is why members who post a thread in Questions & Help' date=' always get a verbal beat down.

[/quote']

Indeed. I hate it when someone makes a perfectly valid topic in Questions & Help, and then some idiot comes along and makes baseless accusations against the original poster's intentions that completely ignore the entire purpose of the topic and make no sense.

On a lesser note' date=' why is this thread located in this forum? It is neither a question, nor does it require help, in which case it would have to be a question.[/i']

It's replying to another thread in this forum, obviously. Are you blind, or just willfully stupid?

No... Im basically ordering you to back down. You took that one way too much as an attack or whatever you wanna call it.

I will 'back down'.

But with the price that I am allowed to say this:

What you said can only have been taken one way -to stop- with an added flavor of hate.

Nevertheless, the discussion never went sour and never turned into a fight.

I like to try to remain as professional as one could be in a discussion, whether it be for or against the resulting topic.

Right, your idiotic attacks are annoying me, because you're forcing me to go defensive on every single funking comment I make.

Firstly, stop making idiotic assumptions. I like my suggestions being accepted because they are good suggestions that HELP the forum, not because I want to be well-known, big myself up or anything else. I just naturally remember my suggestions over everyone else's, obviously.

No, this thread shouldn't be about that at all. I rarely see someone get a 'verbal beatdown' for posting in this section, unless they ask an extremely obvious question that can be found in the FAQ- and even then I usually see casual replies.

This thread is response to another thread, so I posted it here for ease of access to reply to, it might not be found in I posted it anywhere else. Now stop questioning me.
