I cannot bring myself to think of any religion that seems reasonably possible.The closest thing is the greek god religion.

There's a HUGE Neo-Pagan movement out there that seeks to bring back the ancient polytheistic religions.

 

I find it ridiculous that a religion whose creator was nailed to a cross by people who thought their religion is completely unwilling to accept other religions.

 

I really don't give a s*** what your religion is' date=' but you have to respect other people's faith. I think the reason there's so much anti-Christian hate out there is because of bullshit like the Pope saying Avatar is bad because it portrays a religion not based on God.

 

It's one thing to say Jesus died for your sins. It's another thing to say that Jesus hated gay people, especially since he stood up for oppressed groups and welcomed all.

I agree with your post, that's also a problem that most people here don't know many religions or don't accept them.

Yet the pope is not the sole representant of a movement, actually he's just one member of a sub-group of Catholicism, oh and even a ridiculous figure no one takes seriously anymore.

Tbh I don't give a damn about popes and crap, if anything I prefer talking to normal, non-insane individuals.=/ Maybe some of you people should wake up and have a look at contemporary religions?

 

For example I wonder why it is that people always take the OMGfamous examples to justify anything. One person, be it a pope, Bush or any other extremist nutnog does something horrible, now hate to anyone else who might be kinda related to it?

 

Granted I'm heavily anti-clerical (when it comes to hierarchy crap and power struggle) and I HATE the way most religions evolved into nowadays. Hence why I spent time studying the roots of various religions...before crap got twisted out of it.

 

Oh and funny note did you know the bible is rather communist and no one ever said something against gay people there?

 

I could also name a wide range of people, also Evangelic and Catholic Christians who are willing to accept other religions and are even open to them. Ok you might not be interested since they're not popes or sensational enough... I probably need to get them into the news or something until they count as semi-important examples.=/
