[Comment... and a bit of Suggestion] 1 and a half year of experience...

Yea, I would like to comment about YCM. Is that OK?

So, first the comments, then the suggestion.

I saw that YCM is a very good forum, very nice place to chat, and such a big progress, with the members, posts, etc. But what do I dissapoint is, that most suggestions are ignored, locked, and dead. (please note too that I'm leaving at Nov 2008 and returning in Jun 2009) I don't know, but somehow you're really didn't want to retrieve the suggestions. I'm not criticizing, it's just the truth tho.

It's pretty clear that some of the suggestions are a bit impossible to do, but we can try others with plugins, for example, IMO. But you guys did a very good job the forum's a popular place.

Now for the suggestion. A few suggestion.

1. Maybe we can try to refresh the page automatically, when there's a new post or thread appeared, by like the one in Facebook or normal refresh?

2. Disable attachments? I think it's possible to disable these attachments, usually Admins can do that. I don't remember if it's already been suggested or not so I'm go with it.

3. Disabling MyCodes aren't count as characters when editing the sig? This happens with me everytime. Because of the small capacity and lots of codes to use, I often have to delete a picture just because to get a code to be fit with the sig. I think we doesn't make the codes as characters or adding the sig characters again (Although the last one won't be done). Admins, once again, easily can do this.

Originally, I just want to post the comments, so support or not support the suggestions, it's your opinion.

Once there's at least 1 supporter of one of the above suggestions, I'll add the supporters below.

Thanks for reading, and yea, I know it's a looong post, but at least it's worth it.

First off, most suggestions are ignored, locked, or left to die simply because they're either stupid, pointless, against the rules that few people bother to read, or just impossible to implement. "(please note too that I'm leaving at Nov 2008 and returning in Jun 2009)" contains the word "I'm", which is used in the future tense, and it's January 2010.

1. Just do it yourself, it's not that hard.

2. People need to know that attachments are against the rules, and it's unnecessary. Now, Brushfire has written a screenplay for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and since it doesn't really break any rules, it's the only exception where an attachment is fine. So no, attachments should not be disabled.

3. Again, it's not hard to fix this yourself.

Sixth and lastly, 2 > 1.5
