Magmar met Gardevoir's location on the side of the stream, hoping for the best. He saw a small log up ahead and thought it would be best to try and hop on it, than over to the other side.

"Gardevoir! Get off on the other side of the stream! I'm gunna' cross the log and meet you," He said to her.

Magmar sped up and stopped abruptly at the log. It was well above the water, and he could make the jump. With one, two, three jumps, he was over the log and on the other side.

"Gardevoir! It's safe on this side!" He shouted in her direction.

Plusle nodded. "With the large baskets I presume?" she prompted. She nodded and ran back to the supplies, gathering a nearby Spinda and a Bronzor and a Beldum to help carry the supplies. They would have one each.

"Pile all of the food into these baskets!" she commanded as they dumped all of the food in. "Next all of the medicine berries into this one!" she said as they dumped them in. They no longer had the old human made potions, they had no idea how to make them now. "Next the pearls and calciums and other things like that we've found!" she commanded. "This one!"

Soon the baskets were loaded and ready to go.

Gardevoir, assured all the supplies were ready, followed Magmar. The cloth on her foot had already ripped, and was leaving blood-red dust behind them. They went through the grove, which curved over the creek like a crescent, and came upon a clearing with a thick, high-up canopy. Gardevoir nodded, knowing this would be their next camp location. She heard feet along the ground coming, hoping it was the rest of the tribe. The loud screeches from the background continued, but were faint.

I just want to know, so could you be a bit more specific about the canopy. It's good, I'm just curious, lol.

Magmar looked around at everything. It would be a wonderful new spot for the tribe. The only danger would be not know of what could harm them around here.

Magmar slowly looks down to Gardevoir's foot, which was bleeding horribly.

"Gardevoir," Magmar said calmly, "I think we should put a leaf or something on your cut."

Sure...

"We have more cloth. Just wait for the rest of them to get here."

Gardevoir looked up at the canopy. It was thick, and left this area of the forest the grove led to relatively dark. It almost looked like a cathedral above. Branches stuck out near the center of the canopy, leaves crowding onto them. The trees around them were also thick, but you could see the desert.

Then, Gardevoir had a thought. Even if they did survive the end of the human race, there was no way for them to breed new Pokemon. They could only live until their lives ended naturally, and nothing could change that.

"Okay," Magmar responded.

His hopes seemed to be higher now. They may not be able to breed, but pokemon have been known to live for enormous amounts of time.

The canopy was a well-sheltered area and would make a great new area.

"So, Gardevoir, I was thinking this place would be great for a new camp," He stated.

"Yes, it is. It seems that there is an abundance of plant life here. We'll do fine until our enemies locate us."

Gardevoir, sick of waiting, tore a small part of her dress off, and wrapped it around her foot. She then took another part of it and bandaged her arm. Gardevoirs must not be known for their platelets.

"Magmar, your hand does not seem to be healing. I may be able to fix it, but I need to be more powerful. I'm too weak to do anything right now."

Magmar's eyes lit up in excitement just at the fact that there is a possiblity of his hand healing. His body was actually shaking in excitement.

"R-really?" He asked happily.

Magmar looked around at the trees, in search of an oran berry. Those blue beauties were known for their energy restoring abilities.

A faint smile spread across Gardevoir's face, and she nodded.

"That also means I have to be healed myself, first."

She heard the tribe enter the grove, and was glad they finally made it. Gardevoir tried to get up, but was too weak now. She was cold, wet, bleeding, injured, hungry, tired, and sore.

"Plusle, t-take count of our supplies, p-plea..." Gardevoir mumbled as she faded into sleep, collapsing onto the soil of the ground.

Hours later, Gardevoir awoke. She and Magmar had been the only ones sleeping, and things seemed to be holding up well. Some Division A members were building shelters for the group. Gardevoir sat up and tried stretching, but found herself in too much pain to do so.

She wandered over to the food storage, and ate a dry, bitter-tasting apple, and drank water from the creek, which ended in this area of the forest. Hot springs dotted the edge of their area opposite of the stream, and she tried warming her hands and washing her wounds. Finding it far too hot, she put some in a pot and waited for it to cool down first.

Magmar slowly awoke to realize that Gardevoir was already up. He looked over his shoulder to see some of the small springs. Being a Magmar, he thought it would be a great temperature. He rose from his spot and slowly walked over to one of the springs, seeing Gardevoir with a pot of water.

"Too hot, eh?" He joked while rubbing some on him.

Gardevoir glared at Magmar, watching the steaming liquid flow down his arms.

"Y'know, I'm feeling a lot better. I may be able to restore you soon, if I can get an oran berry. We're doing a lot better on food now, but we're all wounded."

She looked around the area. It was now night, and the cathedral-like camp was dark, shelters for each member lit dimly with candles salvaged from the humans.

Plusle nodded. "Please wake me whenever you wish." she said and laid down under the roots of a tree. She smiled. This was much better without the humans in her opinion. She drifted off into a dream.

She was gathering Sitrus berries again and her trainer was there. her heart was thudding painfully in her chest. her trainer pulled her in for a hug when suddenly lightning struck the trainer and he fell down, utterly dead.

Kaputops emerged from the foliage where he was taking a short nap and walked up to Magmar.

"G'day sir! Is it almost time for the night watch?"

The night watch wasn't normally too exciting, just walking around in a set pattern decided by Magmar to make sure no non-friendlies could cause harm. Now and again there would be a rogue, but even then it flees after Division B assembles.

Plusle jolted awake and watched as Kabutops emerged and talked to Magmar. She sighed dreamily. What would it be like to be part of division B?

No. She was not built for the job. She wasn't as strong, though she could have done some considerable damage to the fearow compared to other things in division b. But single handedly killing it? Really far off. Even wounding it? Far off. She would just be hitting it pointlessly, she realized. No, Division A was the best for her. she said in her mind.

She stood and yawned. "Ready for any other things..." she murmured as she walked up to Gardevoir again. She was well rested at least.

Once the world was a thriving society, where both people and Pokemon survived, co-existing and growing together. Now, the only humans were pictures and statues, lying about in their ghost town cities or scattered to the winds and world by surviving Pokemon. Vaporeon kicked her foot, knocking a dazed Rattata out of her path. It squeaked and scampered away. Whatever was left from the human world had become food for scavengers and the scavengers food for the predators. Balance in the world had been utterly destroyed. The cities were all but desolate ruins, taken over by the smaller creatures that craved survival.

What Vaporeon could not understand was why the change had occurred in this fashion. Even if, back in the good days, she had possibly considered the consequences of the mass extinction of humans and humans alone, she never would have envisioned a world like this. It was empty, almost barren. Pokemon clung to survival. Survival should never have been difficult. Without humans to harvest the resources of the natural world, Pokemon should have been able to return to the type of life they had millennia ago.

She seized an apple from the few left intact within an old food store and ate it hungrily. Then again, she considered, with all humans gone, that meant all the trained Pokemon would be returning to what would be considered the wild. So much competition in a short time. Survival would be maintained by the strongest, the most crafty, and the most ruthless Pokemon now. Did she fall into any of those categories?

Plusle wandered out of a clearing then froze. She sighted movement along the old food store. She hid quickly behind a bush. A vaporeon came out!

Phew. At least electric was super effective against water type.

But, she should report this...

She rushed back to Gardevoir and Magmar. "Rogue Vaporeon reported near old food store." she stammered as she screeched to a halt in front of the two leaders. "Awaiting future orders!" she stood to attention.
