Kyle stood alone in an alleyway. He wasn't hiding, nor was he waiting for anything in particular. He merely was there. He knew he had a task to do, but it could wait a bit longer. If too many of the group assembled to check out the upcoming tournament, it could throw a wrench in the works. For the time being, he just wanted to work on his decks.

 

Even after the event that lost his deck to the hands of a bloodthirsty thief, he had quickly assembled two types of decks from a combination of spare cards and resources from the Dark Signers. One for regular duels, the other he had worked on recently. The tournament starting soon required a deck fit for Turbo Dueling, a sport Kyle was relatively new to. Too late into the plan, he had realized that his regular deck was all but useless, as spell cards were prohibited without taking damage. His Turbo Dueling deck was built specifically to counter that problem, however.

 

Kyle chuckled. All those years spent studying and refining his dueling skills for stress relief had given birth to the method of breaking the Turbo Duel mechanic. In addition to this strategy, he had the strength of the most powerful cards around. His right arm tingled for a moment as he gazed at his ace card. He was longing to give it a test run already.
