I decided to give it a try and create a new type for DARK, alike to Pyro for FIRE, Aqua to WATER etc.. Here they come, so beware… The Shadows are hungry…

Shadows’re focusing on:

-the negation, or encumberation of activating the effects of Monsters and Traps on the opposing side,

-due to their relativly low ATK/DEF and Level stats:

-on weakening opposing Monsters,

-increase their DEF to be equal with an Opposing Monster's ATK, if in

defence position

-direct attacks

-when involved in a battle:

-inflict damage to the Opponent’s Lifepoints, equal to the difference

beetween the Level of the Monsters involved in the Battle x100, no

matter if:

-they’re the destroyed Monsters.

-the Monster they destroyed was in DEF position (this effect negates the infliction of the battle damage that would be inflicted to the Opponent, when his/her monster destroyed, but when the Shadow Monsters’re destroyed the Battle damage the controler takes is calculated normally)

-being indestructable by battle involving a Monster of a certain

Attribute, or Type.

-„escaping” from battles, before the Battle Step by returning to the

owner’s hand, Deck, or „jumping” right to the Graveyard, without

Damage Step, and Damage Calculation

-returning from the Graveyard

-swarming the battle field

-alternate ways to Summon the trump cards of their archetype

- having the "This card is also treated as ...-type"

Shadow Magi

Spellcaster/Effect

During your Main Phase 1, by discarding 1 card from your hand (except 1 "Shadow" Monster card) you may activate 1 of the following effects:

- if the card you discarded was a Spell or Trap card, Special Summon 1 Level6 or lower Shadow-type Monster card from your hand.

- if the card you discarded was a Monster card, select 1 Spell card from your Deck and add it to your hand.

ATK:300 DEF:200

 

Shadow Night-mare

Beast/Effect

This card is also treated as Fiend-type. Each times when the effect of 1 Beast-, or Beast-Warrior-type Monster your Opponent controls activates (except „Night-mare”), inflict 500 points of damage to his/her Lifepoints.

ATK:600 DEF:500

 

Shadow Hound

DARK

Level 3

Beast/Effect

This card is also treared as Zombie-type. When this card is destroyed by battle, inflit damage to your Opponent equal to the differene beetween the Level of Monsters involved in the battle x100.

ATK: 1200 DEF:1200

 

Shadow Wight

DARK

Level3

Zombie/Effect

When this face-up card is selected as an attack target for a Monster with higher ATK, than this card’s ATK or DEF (depending on the battle position of this card), send it to the Graveyard without entering the Battle Step. During your next Main Phase 1, Special Summon this card from your Graveyard in face-down defence position. (This is not optional). Your additional Normal or Special Summon, during the turn this effect was activated is not canceled out. (Yeah I need some help with this, any ideas?)

Shadow K-nightmare

Fiend/Effect

This card can not be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set except by removing 1 "Night-mare" and 1 Warrior-type LIGHT Monster in your Graveyard from play. While this card remains in face-up defence position, it's DEF is always equal to the ATK of the Monster with the highest ATK your Opponent controls +100.

While this card remains in face-up attack position, decrease the DEF of each face-up defence position Monster card your Opponent controls to 1000.

Shadow Fox

DARK

Level2

Beast/Effect

FLIP: When this card is selected as an attack target while remains in face-down defence position, place it face-up to 1 of your unoccupied Spell and Trap card Zone. Select 1 Trap card from your hand, or your Opponent's Graveyard. Place it to this card, and activate it. During your 3rd End Phase after the above effect activated, destroy the selected Trap card, remove this card from play.

ATK:450 DEF:600

 

Shadcow

DARK

Level3

Beast/Effect

FLIP: When this face-down card is selected as a target for an attack or for the effect of an Effect Monster or Trap card, flip it face-up, and flip face-down every face-up Monster or Trap card on your Opponent's side of the field. Cancel out each active Battles and Effects.

Shadow Ghoul #2

DARK

Level5

Zombie/Effect

While this card remains on the field it's ATK is equal to the Monster card's with the highest ATK in either players Graveyard.

Gaia the Shadow Knight

DARK

Level7

Fiend/Effect

This card is also treated as Warrior-type. If you have 3 or more cards in your hand, when you draw this card from your Deck during your Drawing Phase, remove this card from play. When a DARK Monster on your side of the field removed from play by a card effect, Special Summon this card.

ATK:2300 DEF:2100

 

Shadow Goblin

DARK

Level4

Warrior/Effect

When this card is selected as an attack target reurn it to your hand without entering the Battle Step (this is not optional). During the turn the above effect activated cancel out your Opponent's Battle Phase.

ATK:1400 DEF:1400

I don't see how these require a brand-new type. Your first three actually say to treat them as though they are an existing type, Wight is very clearly a Zombie (along with basically all other undead monsters that aren't considered Fiends), and K-nightmare can easily be classified as a Fiend.

 

Also, of all attributes, I can assure you that DARK is the least in need of a new associated type/archetype.

Well yeah to be honest, after looking over these I agree, it didn't turn out to be, what I wanted. I meant to create a type for DARK, like Pyro is for FIRE, which includes monsters that don't really belongs to the already existing types. I'm working on some news, but those're far away from being ready.

 

 

Also' date=' of all attributes, I can assure you that DARK is the [i']least[/i] in need of a new associated type/archetype.

 

Yeah I know DARK has already more types/archetypes, than any other Attribute, but I was thinking one more or less doesn't count. And hey, this is just a fun site! Nobody ever will actually play with cards like these!
