Hydra of Ages
Lera sighed as she stared up at the sky, clear water rushing down from her shoulders and tumbling down a near-sheer cliff. She wiggled her slightly webbed toes a little, sighing a little at the strange sensation of the sun-warmed ice flow waters. It was simultaneously cool and hot at the same time, and interesting competition of temperatures that made her feel at ease without falling asleep. She was bored. Lera found she was bored quite often these days, wandering around the serene beauty of Zora's domain. What had been magical, mystical and comforting at first had slowly descended into normalcy, and from there, into resentable repetition that she urged to change. Something other than spires of stalactites, rushing clear waters and sleek Zora going about their daily business and generally frolicking. It was all such a bore. she sighed and stood up, glancing over at the small chunk of rock lost in the cliff face. She sighed as she put her delicate blue arms on the makeshift windowsill, looking out at the tree tops and of course, the slight spidery cracks of cricks and streams branching off the greater entity that was Lake Hylia, running all the way down from the water slicks of the nearby Icepoint Mountains into their very domain, and out again as the source of water for Hyrule's capital city. "Castle town..." she said with a groan, imagining the place. Actual buildings, less water... Hylians... the sheer change in scenery alone would do wonders for her. She glanced back and gritted her teeth. She hated the Domain. It wasn't just the domain that was the problem, but the fact it was a cage. One way in, one way out. It was a giant cell, walled in by thick stone. Only one chink she had found in its armor was this tiny hole... a little pocket to the outside world. She sighed slightly, watching the treetops outside and imaging what it would be like to live in a place like that.
Saiba Aisu
As Erzet led Casban into a slow trot as they entered Desert Colossus, the roaring noise and stinging sand that characterized the Haunted Wasteland abated instantly behind them. It was just another of the many unusual qualities of the Colossus that he had gotten used to in his many years of traveling to it—like the eye of a storm, the smooth-sanded compound was the only place in the Haunted Wasteland immune to the frequent sandstorms. Above the thief and his trotting horse, the cloudless sky was an intense bright blue shade and the noonday sun shone with its usual ferocity. However, as he threw the gray scarf back from his face, Erzet had eyes only for the structure towering ahead of him, glowing with a dusky splendor in the golden sunlight—a towering, square-like cliff, rising abruptly from the sands, part of which was carved with exquisite detail into the torso of a serene and beautiful woman with palms outstretched, facing upwards. On either side, the edifice was flanked by a lower range of cliffs, and a curious structure similar to an archway was placed in front. As always when he saw the Spirit Temple, he felt his heart swell with a strange mix of wonder and fierce pride for the largely female Gerudo architects who managed to construct the massive shrine hundreds of years before in the heart of the desert, despite all the obstacles that had opposed them. How did they manage it, though? Erzet asked himself as he and Casban drew closer to the Temple. How could they have managed to construct such a complex structure in such a barren place, with the closest reliable source of water so many miles away? It seemed like the manner in which the ancient ancestors of the Gerudo had constructed the Temple would remain a secret for now—regardless of how they had done it, the result was breathtaking. The Desert Colossus had a beauty all its own, markedly different from the endless sands of the Haunted Wasteland that spread for leagues around. Unlike the rest of the desert, it was home to a small oasis of clear, sweet water, guarded by several palm trees. It was to this oasis that Erzet now led Casban, having already emptied most of the water bags during their journey. Dismounting, Erzet cupped his hands and splashed water upon his face, relishing its cool feel against his hot skin before refilling the water bags to the brim. Next to him, Casban arched his glossy neck and drank eagerly, flanks shining with sweat. After both thief and steed were suitably refreshed, Erzet stood and took Casban's reins in his hands, walking the horse gently into the massive shadow cast by the Temple—after all, he had certainly done enough work already. As they neared the wide, weathered stone steps that led the way into the shrine, he guided the horse next to the arch and tied the reins firmly around one of the pillars. "I won't be long, Casban," he said, patting the horse's silky nose affectionately. The horse blinked gently at him with intelligent, liquid dark eyes before bending down and nibbling peacefully on some dry shrubs sprouting nearby. Satisfied that Casban would be safe, Erzet withdrew his two scimitars from the pack upon the horse and slid them into the scabbards at his waist before moving purposefully into the shadowed entrance of the Spirit Temple. Andx
Lorenz put his hand down as the healing was finished. That was a nice feature to the limited abilities of the sapphire to manipulate water. The cut was only minor, though the fact that it pierced his scales meant that beam could've done some real damage and Lorenz now believed he might have overreacted. He heard Raven's horse coming up from behind, it was giving off wild noises. Lorenz stopped and turned around in the water to see what was happening. The horse was moving with amazing speed and it seemed it was dragging someone with it."Raven, you might want to stop your horse. It looks like it dragged someone else along for the ride." Lorenz said motioning towards the direction the horse was fast approaching from.
Shadow Zero
||||Raven looked behind him and saw that Raizen was indeed dragging someone along for the ride. Laughing at the absurdity of it all, he petted Raizen as he stopped in front of him and said "Didn't you even notice that you were dragging some poor soul along when you ran?" Shaking his head with a smile on his face, Raven kneeled onto the ground and said "Are you all right? That looks like you had quite the wild ride huh?" Raven helped the stranger get disentangle d from the horse. How it happened was beyond him, he just hoped that the man the horse had been dragging along was all right. --the whole thing about the mystery seeds has been brought to m attention. i would just like to tell you guys that everything except for 2 abilities that it has are all from the zelda series and in no way meant to be modded. the 2 that i added were the ice effect since i do not wield the ice or fire rods, and the (i guess you could call it bullet seed? o.O) effect where you chew on the seeds. if i caused any offense with this, then i apologize, and if the multiple effects things bothers you guys, i'll fix that soon and have them as separate seeds instead, okay? Saiba Aisu
Erzet's footsteps echoed loudly as he entered the Spirit Temple, whose wide staircase was flanked on either side by a pair of dusky golden serpents, rearing on their coils with glimmering ruby eyes that glimmered in the torchlight—somehow, the flame never managed to go out. He rested his hand briefly atop one of the snake's head, fascinated as always by the presence of rubies or other similarly-colored gems. It went without saying, though, that he wasn't going to steal them—no Gerudo would dare to defile the sanctity of the Temple. He went up the steps quickly and took the right passageway, since for some reason, the only way to navigate the left passageway was a small tunnel through which only a child could fit. It annoyed him slightly that part of the sacred place would remain unknown to him, but there was nothing to be done about it for now. He hurried down the next staircase and pressed his palm against a stone doorway that lay firmly shut against the ground. At his touch, the door lifted at once, allowing him through—it was just another of the unusual qualities that characterized the Spirit Temple. About half an hour later, Erzet entered the room above the Grand Chamber, perspiring slightly. Despite the fact that it was ancient, safely navigating the many obstacles and dangers of the Temple was no small feat. In front of him, a square opening in the floor dropped suddenly to the hanging platform below, supported by steel chains. Withdrawing a slender but sturdy coil of rope fastened to his waist, the Gerudo tied it firmly in place around one of the handles of the many large, ceremonial mirrors that were scattered around the room, making to sure to check that it was still anchored to the ground. Satisfied that it would hold, he wrapped the rope skillfully around his waist before clambering over the edge of the opening and lowering himself slowly through the ceiling of the room below. As he dropped further, the Grand Chamber which linked many of the Temple's rooms came into view, dominated by another huge stone representation of the Goddess of the Sand in the same position as before, this time with a cobra's hood over her face. Dropping lightly to the suspended platform in front of the Goddess, the thief gathered himself before running forward and jumping gracefully across the gap into the opening where her face should be. After landing, Erzet unwound the rope around his waist and tied it tightly against one of the snake's fangs—after all, he had done this many times before, and he needed a way to get back. Eager to see the splendor lying ahead, he took a brief moment to gather himself before striding purposefully along the tunnel, opening the door that would lead him into the heart of the Spirit Temple, the Divine Altar of the Sands. Altαir
"I'm fine, thank you. If you are naming your horse by the name of Raizen, I believe that you are its master. That horse can run pretty fast, my head is still spining from the ride." Tirado rubs his head, and when he was disentangled, flew up in the air. He rotated around, now looking at his immetiate surroundings. It was nowhere close to Hyrule Castle anymore, and unless his master happened to be a Zora who swam down the river at an extra fast pace, the person he was looking for couldn't be near. A questioned look on his face came, followed by a distraught one. When Tirado was about to curse at himself for listening to voices, he could feel the presence of his master, stronger than ever before. So strong that, if he, or she, was visible, he'd be able to touch him. But where could his master be? Tirado saw only two eligible life forms in the vicinity, could it be one of them? He looked at both Raven and Lorenz with his intense blue eyes, filled with curiosity. "My name is Tirado," he said, voice filled with certianty, "and before I learn your names, I need to know, where are you two going?" RI should mention that my character is as small as a Fairy.R
Shadow Zero
"My name is Raven. As to Raizen, I like to think of him more as a companion on a journey. Anyway, you say that he is very fast? How far and fast did he travel?" Raven knew that Raizen was indeed very fast, although he had never seen him go this fast. I wonder.... Raven goes looking through the few seeds he still had outside of the satchel and discovered that one of them was missing. I see. So that must mean I accidentally dropped on and that Raizen figured out how to use it for it's speed. Raven looked over at Raizen and raised an eyebrow questioningly. Raizen did not become embarrassed, but snorted briefly and pawed the ground before starting to nudge his snout against Ravens free hand. Understanding what this meant, Raven smiles and grabs another carrot for Raizen to eat, who eagerly and hungrily accepts.
Andx
Lorenz approached the river bank at seeing this strange creature. Definitely not somethi- someone you see everyday. In one motion Lorenz pulled himself up out of the river onto the bank. He took a closer look at Tirado to see if he resembled anything he knew about. No such luck. If anything he most resembled a fairy but something about him was different."I'm headed to Zora's Domain to see my family. He claims he needs to go there as well; something about finding out about what's happening to Hyrule." Lorenz said motioning to Raven."If you don't mind my asking, what exactly are you? I can't recall ever seeing anyone quite like you anywhere." Lorenz said curiously.
Altαir
"I guess my race isn't ver- wait, did you say Zora's Domain? And... is you family related to the cheif? Did I actually find you, master?" Tirado noticed his continuation of questions, and noticed he didn't even answer the Zora's simple question, even after th Zora had politely answered his own question. His rudeness to his new master was not a good start. "I am sorry. I get hyper at times. As you already know, Master, I am Tirado. But what you did not know is that I am a Nayrurian, a race dedicated to the goddess Nayru. Our history is long forgotten, and those who know it are either dead, or keeping it a secret. But the reason I am here is tradition, not coincidence. As part of our nature, we must select an eligible lifeform to be our masters. But first, we must obtain our master's consent. I'm sorry if this is going too fast for you, I do have only limited time left to explain everything." Tirado then turned around to Raven, and answered his question, "It was too fast for comfort. He stepped on this seed, and burst right here. It was weird, but he is also very smart. To be able to know how to run that fast, steer while going that fast, AND find his master without the master doing anything is amazing. You got one brilliant horse right there." Shadow Zero
"Raven laughs happily at this as Raizen finishes the carrot that was offered to him and says "Yes, he is very smart. I remember when he was still just a foal, He would cause so much trouble for the other horses and occasionally ran all the way to Hyrule town on his own. It caused everyone a considerable amount of grief, didn't it Raizen?" Raven pats Raizens snout as Raizen shuffles his hooves in embarrassment, as if he had just been given a sharp rebuke even though Raven had only spoken gently of past events that were now nothing more then interesting stories of hilarity at the things Raizen used to do before he had settled down and started to focus on other more important matters, such as joining Raven in his training. Andx
"I hardly know what you're talking about Tirado. I didn't know I was anyone's master. However if I accept this then you should have more time to talk about it right? If that's the case then I'll be your master. By the way, my name is Lorenz Vibbard; figured I should introduce myself." Lorenz said."Now just a few questions. When you asked if my family is related to the chief, what did you mean? Who's this chief you're talking about?" Lorenz asked. Lorenz had to wonder why all this had to happen. Just a simple trip to Zora's domain and suddenly everyone, and their horse, wanted to accompany him. Still this Tirado intrigued him. Altαir
Tirado, after hearing this news, made flips and circles in the air, filled with joy. He took out a book, and wrote down "Lorenz Vibbard". The ink instantly disappeared, and Tirado closed the book. He had a less happy face on him now, one filled more with thought than happiness. "Did I really say that? Well, you are related to my chief. My chief said he was the son of a Zora, and he also said that I would meet his brother's descendant. And here you are, Lorenz! How amazing." Tirado got excited again, but remembered there was a person behind him. Tirado glanced at the horse. For a small second, it looked so very familiar to the story he had heard from a fairy, something about a horse and a swordsman. But when he looked back at Raven, the image collasped. He then stared blankly at the seeds. The bag looked old and withered, but something of great inportance was inside of it. It wasn't the material that was inside, but a feeling. But it wasn't seen now, so Tirado ignored the subject. "May I know your name, and where you are going?" Tirado asked.
Shadow Zero
"Hm? Didn't I introduce myself already? Ah, I guess you were still reeling from your trip with Raizen at the time." Raven pats Raizen on the snout as he shuffles his hooves in embarrassment and says "My name is Raven. This is my horse, Raizen. I'm sorry if he caused you any trouble before, he doesn't always notice his surroundings when he gets very interested in or focused on something." Raizen shuffles his hooves again, this time letting out a short whinny. Raven pats him on the snout and says "Don't worry Raizen, nobodies blaming you." Seeing that Raizen was assured by this Raven turns his attention back to Tirado and says "By the way, I couldn't help but notice you eying my seed satchel. Does it look familiar to you, perhaps?" Altαir
Tirado thought about it. So, it contains seeds... he ponered on the thought, was Raven a gardener? No way, he had a sword. Very strange to carry seeds when your a swordsman, but Tirado decided not to ask. Then again, there are those seeds, could those be the ones? Nah, probably not. In the Nayrurian studies, the magical seeds, the continuous water from Zora's Domain, and a few other things stumped them. It'd be odd to be the first Nayrurian to see them used. "I see, but no. I don't find it familiar." Tirado lied. He then looked up to the sky. "Though, if anyone here has anything that will protect me from the rain, it'd be most appreciated." Shadow Zero
Raven tilts his head to the side and says "Whatever you say mister Nayruian. And yeah, it does seems like it will start raining soon." Raven looks up towards the sky once more to see that the are that the were in was starting to be covered by clouds, causing the daylight to dim down considerably. There's something ominous about this darkness. It almost seems to be darker then usual, as though there is some being behind it. Raven remembers how it was said that in the days of Ganon the Evil King of Darkness, the whole of Hyrule had fallen under a spell of darkness. Hyrule town itself had become a wasteland filled with Ganons monsters, and the suun was never able to shine through the clouds. Could it be that those days are beginning to return once more? If so, does that mean that Ganon is still alive?
Saiba Aisu
Erzet's footsteps seemed to echo in the high, vaulted space of the Spirit Temple's most sacred room, the Divine Altar of the Sands. Stepping forward, the Gerudo moved towards a large square platform in the middle of the room, with several handholds carved upon each of its faces—from the ground, the Divine Altar of the Sands looked quite unusual, composed of several elevated pedestals rising from the ground. It was only from above that its true splendor could be appreciated. With a graceful movement, Erzet sprang into the air and caught hold of one of the platform's many irregularities, which allowed it to be climbed. He vaulted over the top and landed lightly on his feet upon the central platform which stood before yet another gigantic sandstone representation of the Goddess of the Sands carved with great detail. From an opening carved high in the ceiling of the room, golden sunlight illuminated the room, caught and reflected by the many ceremonial mirrors elevated on stone platforms in a circular arrangement—the effect of the crisscrossing beams of light was indescribably beautiful. Erzet moved closer to the statue, prepared to fall to his knees and pray before the Goddess for the wisdom to help the Clan of Thieves. He stopped, however, as he heard a set of soft footfalls upon the stone behind him on either side. He whirled around, a silvery scimitar appearing in each hand like magic. Erzet's eyes widened in shock as two figures stepped from the shadows into the golden light—from their scaly green-brown skin, primitive armor and muscular, bipedal, reptilian appearances, he recognized them as a pair of Lizalfos, dangerous scavenging monsters that usually hunted in pairs. Each of them wielded an identical serrated rusty blade in a scaly green fist and gazed at him hungrily with narrowed yellow eyes. An indescribable tide of cold anger rose within Erzet as he tightened his grip upon his weapons, shifting into an offensive stance. How dare those filthy beasts defile the Temple! he thought savagely, thinking of the ancient, glittering beauty of the Gerudo's sacred place of worship. However, he soon repressed his anger and stored it away—despite the emotions motivating him, it was still two against one, meaning that the Lizalfos had the advantage for the moment. Although he knew that they weren't overly skilled with their blades, from his past encounters with the beasts in the lands closer to Hyrule Castle Town, they were quite agile and loved to double-team opponents, making them deadly in droves. Erzet relaxed briefly as he brought to mind one of the earliest lessons he had learned as a Gerudo Thief—to never underestimate any opponent, regardless of past experience or their appearance. I'll have to outmaneuver them, he decided, already planning the first few moves of his aerial assault. His reverie was short-lived, however, as the Lizalfos on the right shrieked eerily and and sprang forwards quickly, the other monster trailing in its wake.
