Hogwarts Roleplay: The Third War [Started / Accepting / Advanced]

"Trouble...is that a threat or a promise" .Britney said as she saw and acromantula about to attack Rigel. "Avada Cadavra" .Britney yelled as the green light bursted from her wand and it slammed into the acromantula killing it instantly. "OMG i just did not do the worst possible thing ever" .Britney said looking at Rigel with a shocked face. "Rigel...please dont tell anyone or i will be DEAD" .Britney said as with out her thought an Acromantula jmped up and attacked her, its fangs inches away from biting into Britney's soft flesh.

[Felix Culpa]

"Stupefy!" he said, whipping his wand above her shoulder, the spider flying back twenty feet from the power of the spell. "Now, you shouldn't have come..."

 

"He's right, you know," said a soft voice coming from the trees beside them. Rigel tightened his grip on his wand, but lowered it. A centaur trotted into the cleared path, looking distraught.

 

"Hello," said Rigel nodding. "We were just on our way. Good to see you."

"Hey.....we were just leabing yeah soooooooooooooo bye" .Britney said as she slowly stepped forwards then turned around to face the centaur and walked back slowly. "Just follow my lead and maybe we'll get outta here alive" .Britney said from the side of her mouth to Rigel and looked at the centaur. "Were so sorry we were here its just that i sleep walk sometimes and i end up in odd places like last year i ended up in the boys bathroom and then the year before that i ended up and i still dont know how i got their but in the Hufflepuff commonroom so you know im a mess" .Britney said calmly as she walked back a little faster.

"Lying is not how you gain someone's trust little girl," said the centaur, nonchalantly.

 

"Hello, Bane," said Rigel, "As I said, we will just be off. Britney ran in the forest. James and I were just going into the outer rim, but she ran down the wrong path."

 

"Ah, yes," Bane said, looking down the path, "You don't want to go down there. The spiders are swarming abnormally tonight. Mars is bright."

 

"I see," Rigel said, looking somewhat interested at the planet that glowed red in the sky. "You're right. That's not a good omen. Well, nice to see you again, Bane. We must be off."

 

Rigel walked down the path, grabbing Britney by the wrist and keeping her up in his pace. "Never lie to a centaur. They are too smart."

Britney Just sighed. "Well excuse me if i am an awesome lyer.....our at least to me i am" .Britney said as shstared back at Mar which was shining brightly in the night sky. "I wonder why its shining so brightly....hmmm maybe i'll learn why in astronomy" .Britney said as she kept looking back at mas with such sudden interest. "You ever think their's anything alive on mars.....or something disrupting it" .Britney asked as she continues waking with Rigel.

"Well, Mars is a symbol of war and fighting, so Mars being bright is part of the centaur's divination. Mars glowing means something bad is about to happen," Rigel said, looking up again, "And that would explain why the spiders are going so deep into the forest. And don't worry about the whole Killing Curse business back there."

 

Rigel turned around, pointing his wand at Britney's forehead when they got to a point in the forest where Rigel could extinguish his wand light and see Britney in the moonlight. "Obliviate."

 

Rigel was confident in his Memory Charms, and knew that Britney would think she had spent all night in the Ravenclaw Tower. He pulled Britney up to him and continued walking at a continuing pace, looking up at Mars every once in a while until they were back in the castle.

 

"Well, well," said a gruff voice from behind the door, "Students out of bed. It's 3 AM, you two. Detention."

"......Ummmm why am i here....i was in the Ravenclaw common room sir i dont know how i got here but i soooo wasnt outside in the forest or anything ike that" .Britney said with a confident smile that The teacher would accept her alliby as all she remembers ofthe night is her hopping the fence into the forest then everything goes into some blank void intime until where sheis right now. "Yeah and....i didnt do anything was just in the castle and stuff so i dont kno whow i got here" .Britney said as she leaned on one hip crossed her arms andkept aput on her face until the teacher accepted her alliby,

"I just saw you and Mr. Black come in from the castle, myself," said another voice from the staircase. "I must say, I didn't think anyone from my house would be playing around in the Forbidden Forest with a Ravenclaw girl."

 

"Sir, I didn't see you there," said the caretaker as he walked toward the professor, who looked down at his hand and walked past.

 

"50 points from each of your Houses," he said, looking at the hourglasses as several large sapphires and emeralds shot back into the upper half of the hourglasses.

 

"Now, are you going to lie again, girl?" said the professor.

"NO im not" .Britney said sourly to the professer. "And you shouldnt blame Rigel he just came in to get me its not his fault its my fault so take away his detention causehe was going to stay but the he came to rescue me from an acromantula so why hould he get punished for it thats totaly unfair" .Britney said sourly and sincerly at the same time with her arms crossed and her eyes looking at the proffessir evil like.

"You were both out of the castle afterhours. So you will both have detention," said the professor, looking at Rigel, "And I think I'll know exactly what it will be. Both of you meet me tomorrow after dinner."

 

Once they were out of earshot, Rigel whispered into Britney's ear. "Good night."

Brintey whispered back. "WE so need to get back at that dude and goodnight my love" .Britney said as she quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek and then ran back to the Ravenclaw common room and she shoved her head into a pillow and screamed into it. "OMG i did not jut give Rigel a kiss on the cheek and then called him my love" .Britney said jumping up excitedly on the chair chanting 'i kissed Rigel' quietly until she got really tired and fell asleep.

Rigel went off to the SLytherin dorm, looking at the large empty common room with its glowing embers casting an eerie glow over the floor. He walked tot he other side, descending the steps into the fifth year boys dormitory, grabbing his own sheets and laying back, pulling the curtains of the four-poster shut.

 

It was not an easy sleep, with the idea of detention the following day, nor was it that exciting having run into a centaur, and having to save someone's life from said centaur. His dreams had vague imprints of a nightmare, but weren't overall disconcerting. He saw an image of a flash of green light and an Acromantula curling up on the ground, Britney standing there, aghast at what she had just done.

James was sitting in the Gryffindor Common Room, playing an exciting game of wizard chess with another fifth year, his pieces well-conditioned for long games. It was twelve midnight before he turned in, the pieces pulling themselves back together magically, and he walked up to the dorm, where Amias was sitting, with a tired look on his face.

 

"What's got you so tired?" James asked.

 

"I just got back from patrolling the corridors. I heard that there were some students out of bed, so if I would catch them, I'm sure..."

 

"Oh yes," James said, putting on a pompous voice, "Amias the Prefect! How could I not remember? I guess my shenanigans will stop!"

Alfred Turow was sitting in the Ravenclaw Common Room, when Britney almost ran past, blushing. He wondered what had her so embarrassed, but brushed it off and went to bed.

Britney woke up abruptly from her dream which almost seemed life like. All the dream was of the same image, the eary green light exploding from her wand hitting the acromantula, and it crumpling up right next to Rigel. "I am so dead" .Britney said quietly as she dug her head into her pillow with thoughts of fear. "Im basically as low as Voldemort i killed something i'm horrible" .Britney said as she bit her put her head on her arm until her arm became numb.

Marumi sat down in the Girls Dormitory as she drifted off to sleep. It was late, and she really should've been studying instead of wandering around aimlessly in the Girls Dormitory, and sometimes in the Gryffindor common room. She didn't remember her dream, well, she never really did, anyways, she woke up earlier then usual to do what she should've been doing the night before- studying. She scratched her quill across the partchment as she took notes, hoping not to wake up any other witches still sleeping.

The next day, an unexpected cover of clouds rolled over the castle grounds, bring a foreboding sense of bad weather that had James Potter in a bad mood.

 

"Quidditch Tryouts were supposed to be tonight, and we can't do it in bad weather!" James complained loudly to anybody who would listen, including Rigel.

 

"Don't see any point in complaining, really," said Rigel, who was flicking a piece of bacon between his fingers before taking a bite. "More time you have to wait the better. More competition to ice."

 

"Your just trying to make yourself look incredible for that Ravenclaw girl, aren't you?" James asked as Rigel ran his hand through his hair, making sure that it stayed neatly in place.

 

Rigel didn't answer, but looked up at the ceiling. "Not a sure sign of rain. There are some breaks in the clouds."

Marumi dressed in her school robes and walked to the Great Hall for breakfast. Wasn't Gryffindor Quidditch tryouts today? They probably wouldn't do it, not with this weather. She looked up at the ceiling, a couple of clouds had strolled onto the sky. Most likely, they'd have to rescedule the Quidditch tryouts for another day. She drank her pumpkin juice as she got up from the Gryffindor table and prepared for another day at Hogwarts.

Rigel moved to the Slytherin table and saw some of his friends sitting there, talking about Quidditch. "No point in worrying whose picked for the Gryffindor team. We're going to smoke them. Isn't that right, Rigel?"

 

"Yeah, I guess," Rigel said, running his hand through his hair again. "I heard that James Potter got a new broom though. New Firebolt model, apparently. Not surprising with the money his family's got. A famous Quidditch playing mother and a historical Auror of a father."

Britney wok up late while everyone else ws donstair in the great hall eating breakfest. he quickly got dressed and ran down to the great hall as she slipped in uoticed by anyone. She sat down at the Ravenclaw table near some of her friends who were giving her looks of surprise. "Hey guys" .Britney said as her friend just giggled wildly and one of them pointed to Rigel at which Britney knew one of them had to notice her kiss him. "How do you know" .Britney said asone of her friend mimiked her jumping on her bed yelling i kissed Rigel at which she just blushed uncntrolably and all her friend gave her high fives.

Rigel looked around, seeing Britney sit down before blushing red and her friends around her giggling. Girls will be girls, Rigel thought, running his hand through his hair again, And they do love to talk...

 

Rigel looked up at the ceiling instinctively and saw the gray before looking around, silently disappointed that he couldn't play Quidditch, or even practice, in these conditions. He was sure he was Slytherin Seeker this year, but he always felt he had to watch out for some of the second years who had just gotten their new, fast brooms. Rigel had the new Firebolt model, courtesy of James and his newest model.

 

Rigel thought about his bed down in the Slytherin dorms, Man... Wait! I have Potions with Gryffindor and Ravenclaw today, as well as Double Transfiguration at the end of the day.

James was in a sour mood when he realized he had Potions, and looked around to see Rigel sitting, content, his hand running through his hair again. Hot-head, he thought to himself before looking around. Lily was sitting, talking with a group of first-years, and Al was sitting with another of the Chasers from last year, probably talking about the Quidditch World Cup by the complex hand motions.

 

"Hey, Potter," said a voice from behind James, "How's the family?"

 

The sarcastic voice which James knew so well made him refrain from turning. It was the Slytherin Quidditch Captain, Siler, who had been in a right foul mood after Slytherin narrowly lost the Quidditch Cup last year, when Gryffindor slid ahead by 30 points in the final game.

 

"Yes, Siler," James sighed, turning, fingering his pocket which held his robe, "Hope you picked up some new Quidditch moves over the summer. The old ones weren't any good, were they?"

 

Siler laughed. "As a matter of fact, Potter, we have got better plays. Hope you don't fall off your broom like your dear dad."

 

James stood, drawing his wand at Siler's throat. This wasn't the first time that Siler had James' wand drawn on him.

 

"Mr. Potter," said a drawling voice from behind him. "You of all people should be worried that you would be caught fighting. 50 points from Gryffindor."

 

The Head of Slytherin walked back up to the table smirking.

Marumi watched with curiosity as James and Siler, the Slytherin Quidditch captain had started to get into a duel. When the Head of Slytherin walked by, Marumi knew there would be trouble. 'Plese don't notice them, please don't notice them...' Marumi said her head down as the Slytherin Head of House walkd by them, and had deducted 50 points from Gryffindor. She sighed as she watched the board go down by 50 points, and all of the Slytherins giving them satisfied smirks. 'This is great. Just great.' She thought, as she began to walk to her first class.

OOC: Board? It's a group of hourglasses.

 

James sat back down, smirking. "What're you so happy about?" asked Teddy, who was red in the face from the abrupt ignorance of Siler.

 

"Well, if you didn't notice," James said, flicking his hand at the hourglass, "Slytherin was down fifty points this morning. Hufflepuff is in the lead."

 

"What about Ravenclaw?" Teddy asked, looking curiously at the Hufflepuff's 60 points topping Ravenclaw's 0 and Slytherin and Gryffindor's tied -50.

 

"Probably that girl who was out with Rigel. That's the reason why Slytherin is down. Map told me so," he finished in a whisper.

Rigel looked at the hourglass disdainfully as the rubies shot back up. Now only the yellow topaz was sitting with gems in its bottom chamber. Hufflepuff, for once, was actually in the lead for the House Championship.

 

"Well," Rigel said, taking a bite out of a piece of bacon, "Our Quidditch should get those points back up."

Britney sighed under her breath but quickly smiled. She felt good for the Hufflepuff's cause for once they weren't losing epicly to Ravenclaw or Slytherin or Gryfindor. "WEll good for you Hufflepuff why dont we throw you a party" .Britney said under her breath calmly and quietly as the Hufflepuffs gave all the other people's that weren't in their house smirks of over-acheiving and confidence. "I am going to murder them" .

Rigel stood and walked out of the Great Hall, passing the hourglasses a regretful look and then waited for Britney for their first class of Double Potions. "Well, Mr. Black," said the drawling voice of Professor Mandra, the Slytherin Head of House and Potions Master, "I suggest you get to the dungeons. Hopefully, your Potions skills have not left you over the summer."

 

It was true that Rigel was an excellent Potioneer, but he hated the class, because no matter how well anyone did, Professor Mandra would find something wrong with the potion. That is what drove Rigel to be the potionmaker he was.
