Old School Hip-Hop is the Best Hip-Hop

Flo Rida is one of the only decent new rappers to the industry besides Kid Cuddi. I'll take him down by overall vote only.

And old 50 is current 50' date=' despite his old (good) lyrics. And Rakim is up there. >_> Added Nas.

still don't understood how Flo-Rida(who is more pop than anything) is better than Jay-Z in this thread

Hip-Hop changed to different genres withing it recently. The newest one being Nerdcore. However, old Hip-Hop was by far the only ones that basically changed something for at least good means. Modern day basically f**ked everything up in one foul swoop. Like I said before, when 50 Cent and Eminem came into the picture, it was the bullet to the head for Hip-Hop as we currently know it because of the current rappers today.

Lolno.

Just. Lolno.

The difference between old 50 and new 50 is big.

The old 50 could match a lyrically insane Nas and even beat him.

No Hip-Hop is the best Hip-Hop to me <_< but on topic' date=' I think once the 21st century came, most rappers had just went downhill, becoming too hardcore for casual listeners, and succumbing to (new)fan(s)service, decreasing whatever chance they had in success.

You're suggesting Hip-Hop took on the Metal genre, which it didn't. :/

lolno.

Music about sex? Ok, I guess. Violence? Again ok, I GUESS. But sometimes its taken to the extreme, or is just downright hard to listen to without being disgusted. But that's just me. I had no intention of bringing metal into this.

... I've been listening to nothing but hiphop for days on end, and I don't see where it gets disgusting. Cliched, yes.
