Kura Makes his way around the back of the battlefield unaware that DMG had just entered. Drawl manages to catch Zan's words. "You don't fool us for a second. You simply wish to kill our leaders and oppress us. I know all about you Zan." Drawl says looking at him angrily. "You cant makae those turn against the ones that want to stop this oppression!" Drawl says as the soldiers charge forward.

 

As Zan heals his leg Kura comes around back of the area from an underground route. "I knew there wouldn't be as many golems around." Kura picks himself up from the ground as the soldiers rush out of the underground and charge at the opponents. Kura sees star still on the ground unconsious. "This really isn't the place for this." Kura says shaking star a bunch of times as DMG comes to them. "You only missed a two sided front going into action. Nothing serious." Kura says silently still shaking star. "Perhaps you can do me a favor though. This person droped out of the sky and is now unconsious." Kura says throwing Star to DMG. "Yes he is very light. Mabye you can try and wake him up."

[Spirit of DMG]

"Kura, Star, I trust him. His voice is sincere, and his eyes are steady. Too steady to be lying." she said, looking right into Zan's eyes. She nodded at him and back up, spreading her wings. She looked at the cannon with serious eyes. "Lets simply hope that I'm not wrong. Though, it doesn't seem likely." she said, noting every detail she could of the cannon. "I don't think this man is the type to lie. Not about this. If he were here to fight, we wouldn't be standing here chatting, we'd be fighting by now. Golems. If he wanted to conquer this place, he would have by now. Lets watch and see what happens."

[Sploda]

"Your trust will not be misplaced. If you wish you can visit the people of the city, they have been camped just under this ridge." Zan said as he placed the MoonStone within the Cannon. "MoonStone Cannon, Fire!" Zan Commanded and as he did a purple beam of energy burst out of the Cannon and shot right through the Castle in the center of the City. As the beam subsided the Castle began to implode on its self and the Palisade began to crumble. "What you see happening is the restoration of balance to the Mana Vortex, it will absorb the Castle's Mana and balance its self out. Once this is done I plan to take these troops back home and then return where hopefully My Inventions and I won't be in exile any longer." Zan said as he turned to face the girl. "You have the makings of a good leader, I entrust the people of this land to you." Zan tosses the girl a tele-communicator. "If you ever need to contact me, use that." Zan said as he took the MoonStone out of the Cannon and began to walk back towards the Imperial Camp, content that he had saved his people.

[KurashiDragon]

"It would seem is goal was simply to steal the mana of this city." The soldiers stop their fight as the golems back off. "Hrm.... There's more to this battle than it seems. More to the empire than it seems." Kura thinks of the possibilities of stealing the citys mana but there are to many possibilities to be certain. He shakes his head to come back to reality. "This battle has a point however for now I'm in the dark."

[Spirit of DMG]

"We will gain our country's independence, Kura. Of that, you can be sure. However, if there is even the slightest chance that he was right, that the castle he just destroyed was throwing the cities mana out of balance, that it was a threat, if we stopped him from restoring that balance, we'd be taking a major step backward. No one would trust us if we were wring about him. I could hear in his voice, see in his eyes, he was telling the truth. Come, we need to get this one to awaken." she said, throwing Star over her shoulder. She spread her wings and flew off to her shack home in the woods, where she laid Star out on the couch, and placed a rag she had wet in a stream on her way on his forehead.

[Nexev]

Nexev falls to his knees, a look of complete defeat on his face. "Nothing can stop you from destroying this city. I surrender, do what you will with me but leave this city alone!"

 

Caine looked at Leo, hate glimmering in his eyes. "So the traitor to humanity wants to fight? Very well then, I'll gladly comply." Caine summoned his cards and looked at Leo with bloodlust in his eyes.

 

Meanwhile Dai had finished his funerals, no thanks at all to Abigal.

Kura sees DMG fly off with Star. "Being naive may show compassion and understanding but that's not something that can be used on the battle field. We got lucky this time DMG." Kura looks on and sees Nexev on his knees. "It doesn't help any cause if you surrender to your enemies. It only shows weakness and that will kill you." Kura puts Nexev on his feet and sees confusion in his eyes. "You have something serious to decide...."

[Altαir]

The feeling of water shocked Star, enough to wake him up temporarily. He looked around, a first instinct, and noticed he was no where close to where he fell, since he didn't hear much. His whole body ached, and he couldn't move anything. He would've thought that he was paralyzed, until the sound of feet caused him to raise his head, and squirm a little. He quickly looked closer, only to find nothing, still. He guessed it was just, maybe, the wind, or something related to that. He dropped his head back down, it was sapping too much of his energy. Now, Star fell asleep, since he was so very tired, and the ring used so much of his mana to save himself.

 

My ring?!? Where is- don't tell me it broke. That means it wasn't good enough... especially for my recklessness. That means I'll have to craft another one...

 

Star also noticed that he didn't have his quiver, nor bow. Even if burned by a star, chances are that it will still be perfectly intact, well, as long as the mana it holds, takes, and emits is not disturbed by some force. The bow was a special gift, crafted from his father star, who could craft the rare Rank 0 items. But, this was only a Rank 2 item. Therefore, Star cannot replace it if it's broken, nor upgrade it. So, where was his bow and Quiver? Hadillisaar and Pendelton were still intact, since they didn't really endure the fall, and even if they were broken, they are easily put back together.

 

Though, what he's wearing was not an excepting to the fall. It was all tattered and ruined, and the trinkets of jewlery which provided for small boosts in mana were all broken. His shoes were ripped everywhere. Even his skin, which was protected by the now broken ring, was bruised everywhere. Star's wings looked beaten, even though they were still glowing blue from his recent run, which meant he was still losing mana. He tried to shut it off, but couldn't; he was too weak.

[Shadow Zero]

In the ensuing conflict, Leo had noticed someone called DMG talking to Zan. He had not known that this is what Zan had intended, but now that he knew, he no longer wished to fight. Reining in Enkou firmly with one hand, he raises the other, almost as if in a surrendering fashion. "Hold on Caine, I hadn't known that you guy had come here as something other then conquerors. I didn't here everything Zan had said, but I heard enough to understand what was really going on here. As such, I no longer wish to fight you...at least not right now." Leo wasn't sure what would happen, but he hoped that there was still enough reasoning left in Caine to listen to what hw was saying right now. "So the castle was an unstable vortex of Mana." Lowering his hand to his side and looking over at the now heavily damaged castle, Leo shook his head in disbelief. "What kind of moron would be stupid enough to even think of trying something like that?"

[Spirit of DMG]

DMG noted the way Star has stirred when she placed the rag on his head. "I should let him rest. He seems to have taken a beating, he's hurt badly." She though, smiling a little. She walked as quietly as she could to an adjoining room, just as run down as the one Star was in, with only a tattered arm chair in one corner to adorn it. She sat in this chair, looking up at the ceiling. She got up, and grabbed some old paper and a pencil from a shelf on a third room, which required her to go very softly through a corner the room Star was in, and back to the chair. She reflected on what she could remember of the cannon and began drawing.

[Nexev]

Caine but his cards away. "Well, well. The dragon's thrall finally noticed it had teeth."

 

A scream was heard. "I was so close! Once Paktyspfy was gone we could conquer Karmdarcer and have begun a glorious empire." A dragon wreathed in green flames appered admist the battle, flanked by large draconic wings. Nexev backed up in shock, "Who are you?"

 

The flaming dragon chuckled "Me, I'm an aquantince of your benefactor. Now be a good pawn and kill that scientist where he stands."

 

Nexev stood up facing Flame, "No he's a good person, it's time you were destroyed!" Nexev raised a hand a large water tornado apperad surronding the dragon. "My ultimate attack! Water Sprout!"

 

When the water tornado subsided Flame was still thier, bored. "Tedious" Flame said dryly. Suddenly Nexev's arm glew red, he clutched it in pain.

 

"My power lets me control heat. Your blood is boiling. But don't worry I'll cool you down." Flame said with a grin.

 

Ice started forming along Nexev's feet at a wrapped pace he ran towards Zan. Just before the ice engulfed him completly he grabbed the gauntlet, slowly disappering as the ice fell to the floor.

 

"Hmpf, so that trash wished to be recycled. No matter, we will face eachother again. And next time you won't have your little cannon." Flame disappeared in a burst of fire.

 

 

Caine screamed, and fell to the floor. "Nooo! He was here! He is going to act, we can't win, we're aren't ready! We never were." Caine fell to the floor, sobbing at the futility of his efforts.

 

ooc: Plot has now started.

--good, time for Leo to knock some sense into Caine...literally.

 

Leo had never been so angry in all of his life. The senseless death of one man, and another who had known all along, but now was in the grips of deepest despair. Walking up to Caine and lifting him off of the ground by his collar, he raises a fist and slams it into Caines jaw as hard as he can, sending him flying a good 10 feet or so before skidding to a stop. "Pull yourself together! You really think we can afford your kind of weakness in this fight?!" Leo stomps on the ground and causes the earth underneath Caine to rise up and force him back into a standing position before falling back down again. "There is but one thing that we can do now, and you already know what it is, don't you Caine? This is bigger then you just your empire and my people, much bigger. The only question is, are you going to man up and face the problem, or are you going to run away like a scared pup back to your mothers womb?"

[Nexev]

" I will, I will. It's just too soon. Far to soon." Caine got up. "Do you think he is by himself, no! Their are six of them! They are going to take over this world to make it a paradise! How can I fight a person with that goal? Either way it's going to be difficult, we'd need the Bihic's help. The only thing that could stop them will be the planet's will, and to reach that we'd have to get to the bihics."

 

ooc: take a look at my masterly plan. The bihic's have the key to the most powerful artifacts in the world known as the Planet's will. With them you are about half as strong as the Mods so you will have to double team or sacrifice yourself.

Leo folds his arms and is mantle goes back to its navy blue fur cape-ish appearance as he folds his arms and yells "Stop you ranting already! Now, calm down and think clearly, or at least try to! You say that you know what needs to be done. Do you know how to do it? If so, then how? If not, then who does, and where can they be found?" Perhaps it was because he had learned of his heritage from his father, but it felt as though he was in control of the situation and could see everything that needed to be done. No sooner had this absurd thought occured to him then did he discard it and remember what Richard Rahl had told him when he was given the Sword of Truth and 'named' as the Seeker of Truth...that the Seeker of Truth chooses himself, that the Seeker of Truth is a law unto himself, and that there are things that only the Seeker of Truth could discover. Yeah right, like I would know what to do in this situation. Still, I can at least give Caine's deranged mind something to focus on and keep him from completely falling into a panic-stricken state.

IC: Caine looked at Leo like he was an imbelcile then continued. "The will of the planets are 12 artifacts created from the creation of this world, originally rocks they slowly shaped themselves into weapons from the powerful wills of the people. Basically if we obtain that then we can atleast not die instantly like what will happen now. But the Bihic's now where they are. We also have 'Judgement' which is my revolver. It's a signal gun that summons the 6 divine spirits. They aren't any match for them though. But if we get all the artifacts and take on the mods 2 on 1 with a artifact and use the divine spirits we could face them." Caine checked the gun and stared, his face one of shock. "Hey, the darkness bullet is missing. Thats not good, we'd need to find her, I think her name was Jensomething..."

[KurashiDragon]

Kura looks away from the position and focuses on the broken down castle. It's cracked in numerous places but otherwise remains intact. Drawl comes to Kura at this. "It would seem as though we lost this battle." Drawl looks on and sees the soldiers a little tired but otherwise fine. "No casualties.... clearly this is a miracle." Drawl says sighing. Kura simply looks on. "No this is something more and I'm sure of it." Kura closes his eyes and looks ahead. "Zan.... was his name right?" Drawl nods to this. "He's gonna do something big and I'm gonna make sure it doesn't happen." Drawl smiles a little bit. "Well then mabye I can help you." Drawl goes into the castle and grabs something.

 

"Are you any good at dual wielding." Drawl says taking out a long sword from the castle. Kura takes the sword and looks at it. It has a silver blade with other mysterious minerals infused into the blade. It has ancient writing on it. "This is the best blade I've ever seen. Made by only the best craftsman and infused with the mana of over 50 mages." Drawl says looking at the sword mysteriously. "It has very distinct mana that when combined with a mana object increases the mana of a single man near limitless proportions which should be able to counter the gauntlet....." Drawl looks down as he says this leading Kura to believe their was something else. "Be careful though. Every single person that has ever wielded this weapon was killed by extended exposure to this weapon. The power of this weapon can only be used for about 5 minutes before the mana in the sword starts to burn your body. Use if for to long and your very soul will be absorbed into this sword." Kura places the sword next to his shock sword. "I'll bring it back when I'm done." Kura flies off awaiting the next battle. "Oh yea..." Kura says as he flies off. "My best subject in training was dual weilding." Drawl laugs at this and returns to his troops.

[Shadow Zero]

"Hm? You can't mean Jenou, the Queen of Shadow and Darkness?" Leo was surprised to discover that Jenou was actually one of the 6 bullets that Caine used. Leo almost said something further, but decided that it would not be a good idea to do so. No, it would be best if we avoided that topic for the moment. Walking towards Caine as though to start saying something, he is surprised to find that the 32 stars of Solus seemed to suddenly appear from the sky and come to a stop between himself and Caine, hovering there for several long seconds before each one of them took up a separate position on one of his sides.

[Sploda]

"Charge the Cannon again! That castle has to fall, otherwise the vortex won't stablize." Zan yelled as his crew began the charging sequnce again.

That Dragon no doubt sent Drawl to prevent the Castle's destruction. It Beat Nexev so easily! However it seemed to be a little scared of the Cannon. Perhaps the MoonStone's energy has an adverse effect on them...

Zan studied the MoonStone in his hand for a moment. Then he called upon the Mana of the Gauntlet. "Nexev, I know your in there can you hear me? I have a plan, and I'm going to need your help." Zan said. Most would have said that he had gone mad, except that the last person to do so was killed where he stood.

[KurashiDragon]

Kura flies down in front of the Cannon not even worried about the blast. He looks at the cannon for one second then turns his attention to Zan. "What's the real reason you want that mana?" Kura says staring Zan down. "You say its to stabalize the Mana Vortex but I figure your lying. The empire isn't like that......" Kura looks him right in the eye for his answer. "Well I'm waiting...."

[Shadow Zero]

Leo notices Kura trying to stop Zan and decides that he must noe make a choice. He was not sure whether or not he could trust Zan. However, Zan and Caine both seemed to be dead set against the Burning Dragon, so he could not just stand by and watch while Zan was being confronted by someone he didn't even know. Raisinig his hands, Leo causes a mound of earth to bulge and rise under him, then Leo moved his hands and caused the mound of earth to form a solid platform that would move along the ground and carry him in front of Kura. "And just who might you be?" Leo asks as the earthen platform that he made comes to a stop and the 32 stars of Solus surround him and Kura. "And what is your purpose here? I don't know if you had noticed, but the Burning Dragon is using the Mana disturbance centered around the castle for something, and has also killed someone without even giving a good reason as to why. Or are you telling me that you are not even aware of this?"

[KurashiDragon]

"Hrm..... traditionally it's right to say your own name when asking for introductions...." Kura says closing his eyes and looking at Zan. "My name is Kura and that's all I'm telling you about myself." Kura unfolds his arms and places his left hand to his shock sword as a just in case. "Yes I am aware of the Burning Dragon but my concern is what will happen to the distorted mana which is why I was getting intelegence from him." Kura looks at Zan intimidatally. "I will make my desision as weather or not to stop this madness when I get my answer."

[Sploda]

"If I don't stablilize the Mana Vortex it will implode and destroy the entire town! There are still people inside and as for the soldires with me they are unarmed and considered traitors to the Empire!" Zan explained quickly.

"The Cannon is ready, sire." The Crew captain said.

Zan placed the MoonStone within its chamber again. "MoonStone Cannon, Fire!" The beam of purple energy burst forth again and hit the Castle a second time. The Castle began to crumble and the Vortex appeared and began absorbing it. "Now who sent you? Was it Drawl? He is working for the Burning Dragon, he can't be trusted!"

[KurashiDragon]

Kura laughs to himself a little bit as the castle begins to crumble once more. "My trust only goes to those who proves themselves. I was not sent here on his orders." Kura gets serious with Zan. "I only wish to settle something with the Empire." The castles upper floors fall as Kura says this. It continues to crumble and eventually falls. "The burning Dragon..... they keep talking of this dragon.... is it important....?" Kura thinks as the cannon stops.

[Shadow Zero]

"You are wondering who the Burning Dragon is, aren't you? I had wondered as well, until it appeared in front of me and killed someone. It gave Caine quite the shock. It looked to me to be less a dragon and more a great writhing mass of green flames that burned and then froze a man, killing him as a result. I do not know who this man was, but he was an elderly fellow who stood up to the Burning Dragon, even as he stood there being slain by it." Seeing that Kura was not an immediate threat Leo allowed the Star of Solus to move about freely as they would, since they seemed to have gained a will of their own. Leo turned to look at Zan, wondering how he would react to this news, and hoping that another fight was not about to ensue.

[Sploda]

"Nexev was a great person, and an even greater Mage. However he left me with one last gift that will be very useful in the upcoming conflict." Zan said to Leo and Kura with a solenm voice. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have people who will be needing medical attention. Oh and Kura, about your problems with the Empire, like I said everyone here is a traitor so you won't get waht you want form us." Zan then began the trek down the ridge towards the refugee camp.

Once the Vortex is finished stablizing I will be able to visit the place where it is hidden and install the last two pieces then we can take the fight to the burning dragon.
