Best YuGiOh! Video Game?

I like the Yugioh video games a lot. They give me the chance to pit my skills against super-intelligent AI's, plus I have access to more cards than I could ever hope to actually own. And every game I've played so far has been enjoyable to say the least, but they always seem to... lack something.

 

Dark Duel Stories was my first, and I played it before I knew the rules. But going back to play it again.... yeah. Don't get me started on it.

 

Forbidden Memories was a cool concept in my opinion. I enjoyed the unique take on the rules, but it eventually became too complicated to be enjoyable.

 

Eternal Doulist Soul was a godsend. It's just amazing. But the only things you can do are duel, duel, duel, and they only give you 810 cards or so to do it with.

 

Dungeon Dice Monsters was fun, but tactical games always give me headaches and put me to sleep, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

 

YuGiOh Online just sucks. You have to PAY? Bullsocks.

 

Yugioh GX Duel Academy is the one I'm playing now. With 1200 cards, the ability to travel between locations, play puzzles, take trivia exams... It's the best one I've played yet.

 

But I haven't played them all, so I'm asking... Is there a better one? I'm looking for a game where there's more to do than just duel (explorable environments, puzzles), at least a simple story, and an extremely large collection of available cards. If you count all of the cards in the OCG, the anime, and the games, there are 5724 cards. (counted myself) Which game has the most? Which game is the most enjoyable and content-heavy?

The best I have played is Stardust Accelerator, but I have played just like 4 games so I don't know about the others.

 

Apparently, WC 10 will have 3200 cards.

^Something that isn't 5D's, please? I'm not used to Synchro monsters or Turbo Duels yet, and I read that Stardust Accelerator leaves out a ton of older cards, mostly Ritual Monsters.

Let's see. According to the wiki's, it has over 2000 cards, the ability to travel between worlds... and you're allowed to use the Egyptian Gods?!

 

I gotta play that one.

I think you need to have Nightmare Trobadour (a game a bit older) to obtain the gods, or you can use cheats if that's how you roll...

Well, World Championship games. 2007-2009 and now 2010. Synchro Summoning isn't hard. At most monsters you must have 1 Tuner monster and 1 or more non-Tuners, whose level must be EQUAL, not more or less to the Synchro Monster you wish to Summon.

Something's wrong with my Nightmare Troubadour on my Emulator, because it wont let me play. At the start, it just says the story multiple times and keep saying it, so WC games.

Tag Force 4 is probably the best one out there right now.

 

I can sypathise with your Synchro problem. I remember the horrible days of GX with fusions, and how everyone could use them well but me. They just would not fit into my deck no matter how hard I tried to push them in.

Tag Force 2 and 3. Best games out.

I wish there were more genex monsters here(if there even are any in North America yet. havent checked). I guess Ill just have to stick with my assault mode deck for now.

The Tag force games are fun (haven't played them in while since I dont have my PSP anymore). Duelist of the Roses was pretty fun, and 7 Trials to Glory was great too.

This. It wasn't just the game too.The OST was 1 of the best(if not THE best) in all of the Yugioh games.

 

I also liked that Capsule Monster Coliseum(It was too easy, but fun). The tag force series is ok, but you have to keep buying the newest tag force game, or it would feel like you were playing an outdated game.
