How to Make Holo Cards(Needs Adobe Photoshop CS2 or higher) if you want to know look here

Ok i've just found out how to holo in Photoshop CS2. And seeing as everyone wants to know heres a tut:

NOTE: Custom Holo Sheets Removed. Only Darkthorne and I May Use Them. Any Member Found Using them will recieve 3 Neg Reps.(Lol Now i have 14 Custom HoloSheets) If you are going to use the first then give credit to God GAK. Thankyou.

Thanks again Heres the Tut:

Step 1

Save This Holo Sheet:

Holo 1(Proper):

 

Step 2

Open one of them in Photoshop.

Step 3

Once it is open up the top where the options are click "Edit" then Click "Define Pattern"

Step 4

Name it as "Holosheet1" and click Ok

Step 5

Close the Holosheet and open the Ultimate rare.

 

Step 6

Maximise the Ultimate Rare.

Step 7

Choose whether you want the whole image holo or just bits of it.

Ok we seperate now. If you chose the whole image follow the instructions for A. If you chose just bits of the image follow the instructions for B.

 

Instructions A

 

Step 8

Make a new layer.

Step 9

Select the "Rectangular Marquee Tool" (keyboard shortcut: M).

Step 10

Select the image with the rectangle tool.

Step 11

Right click inside the selected square and click "Fill"

Step 12

Where it says "Custom Pattern" Click the down arrow and find the holo sheet pattern. Select it.

Step 13

Where it says "Blending" find where it says "Mode" and click the down arrow.

Step 14

Select "Soft Light"

Step 15

Click "Ok" you will now see the following:

Where it says "Layers" down the bottom you'll see two layers:

"Background" the actuall card its self and

"Layer 2" the layer with the holo stuff on it yours may say "Layer 1" but it means "layer 2". Make sure "Layer 2" or on yours "Layer1" is selected then above it find the part where it says "Opacity".

Step 17

Lower the bar. I used 21%.

Step 18

Your image is now Holoed save it.

 

Instructions B

 

Step 8

Make a new layer.

Step 9

Select 1 of the following what ever you think suits you better they all work: Magic Wand, Lasso Tool, Polygonal Lasso Tool or Magnetic Lasso Tool. I'm going to use Magic Wand for this.

Step 10

Select the part your going to use. If you have more than one follow the instrustions then repeat Instructions B Steps 8-20. If your having trouble selecting a certain thing make sure the "Background" layer is selected(Read Step 16 Instructions A for info about Layers).

Step 11

Click "Layer 1" and then hold down Shift and press F5.

Step 12

Go to where it says Custom Pattern and click the drop down arrow.

 

Step 13

Find the holo sheet and select it.

Step 14

Go to where it says "Blending" and find where it says "Mode".

 

Step 15

Click the drop down arrow and select "Soft Light"

Step 16

Click Ok

 

Step 17

The part you selected should look like this:

Step 18

Make sure Layer 1 is selected and find the button above the Layer that says "Opacity".

 

Step 19

Change the "Opacity" untill you get what you like. I used 15%.

Step 20

Congrats you have your card. Save it and pat yourself on the back.

To Link1000: I gave credit to God GAK the only one who told me how to do it. But if you are reffering to body parts i guessed on the base info given to me by God Gak so he deserves alot of credit.

To Mod David: If you were reffering to me i didnt ask you to help me on holos and by the time i realised there was such a thing as holo cards i checked jedites guide and it was already closed the only person that ever helped me was God GAK.

does it work on photoshop 7.0?

As far as i know it only works on PS CS2 and CS3 but if 7.0 has that fill effect and the opacity option then it should work.^-^

Just thought i would mention this doesnt just work for photoshop, i used the exact same instructions given here on my Serif Photoplus v.10 and it worked correctly ^_^
