"That," Ray Ray started. "Is by far, one of the coolest tHINGS THAT I'VE EVER SEEN!" Ray Ray shouted. "I'm sorry, June, but this even beats that fighting monsters thing you do!"As soon as he said that, everyone but Alyssa stiffened, and the child immediately clamped his hands over his mouth

"RAY RAY!" Jake whispered desperately. "Shut up!" He turned to Alyssa, "Ehehehe, sorry, Alyssa, Ray Ray's imagination sometimes gets the better of him." There were three was this could turn out in Jake's mind: 1) She would believe his lie and everything would be normal 2) She would read their desperation and think everybody in the house, including him was crazy and leave and 3) She would press them for information.

"Hey, everybody," an elderly woman's voice called out. "What's all the commotion about?" out from the hallway stepped a slightly overweight old woman.

"Hey, A-mah!" Jake called, still holding his kid brother in a headlock. "How ya been?"

"Jake?" the woman asked. "I thought I heard Juniper, but I just thought I was getting old." She then noticed Alyssa and smirked, "And I see you brought a friend, care to introduce her?"

Alyssa kowtowed respectfully again. "Wai Poa, I am Alyssa." she stopped herself but then held out her hand. "I am sorry, I let my customs get ahead of me. I'm Alyssa, I'm Chinese." she explained.

She turned around to look at Juniper questioningly but decided not to press any further.

"It's been nice meeting your family." she said to Jake and smiled at him.

"Really?" Jake asked. "So are we! Well, partially anyway, the four of us are Chinese-American!" he smiled, and then realized why he was here. "Hey, are Mom and Dad here?"

"Yeah," Dennis replied. "They're in the basement."

"The basement?" There was a silent message that passed between the two.

"The basement," Dennis nodded.

"'Scuse me, guys, but I need to talk to my parents," Jake said sheepishly. he jogged down to a door and opened it, running down the stairs to the basement. He partially took a book from a bookcase and it opened, Batman-style. He ran inside and slid down a brass pole, and the bookcase closed.

"We've been expecting you, Jake," a man in a lab coat said seriously.

Alyssa watched him go in bemusement. "So...um...glad to meet you all," she said awkwardly to the rest of Jake's family. She didn't know what to do with him gone and her in the face of the rest of them. "So I can manipulate ice..." she demonstrated by making a statue of a swan and giving it to who Jake called a-mah.

"Why, thank you," A-mah said, inspecting the swan. "Beautiful craftmanship," that was a lie. She had seen better in her lifetime than this, but it was pretty good. Suddenly, the bracelet on Juniper's wrist started to beep, flashing in rhythm.

"Oh, I, uhhh gotta go," June sputtered out as she bolted out the door.

"JUUNNEE, wait for meee," Ray Ray said as he ran after her.

"Heh, kids these days," A-mah laughed, turning to Alyssa. "Would you like some tea?"

"So what can I do ya for?" Mr. Lee asked.

"Well for one," Jake replied. "You can start by retuning these." He took his ATs from his pack and tossed them over. Mr. Lee immediately put them in a large vertical tube and started typing into the keyboard in front of it.

"That's not the only reason you came here, is it?" It was like he could read Jake's mind.

"Yeah," Jake sat down in a chair. "I've got a feeling something big's about to go down at the academy, and I don't know what to do."

Power's first appearence: Ryan was 11 when some bullies suddenly attacked him, his eyes turned White and he could suddenly predict their movements, he beat them up easily and went back to his orpanige.

Bio: Ryan is quiet with strangers and when is in a strange group he follows the person he trusts the most, normally he just stays in his room reading, playing guitar or surfing the internet, he also is a hacker. Oh and he loves the libary. His favourite food is Pizza, his favourite Movie is the Matrix. The headmaster took him in like a son and Ryan suddenly took a liking to him.

Alyssa smiled confusedly as she glanced at the kids running away. "Oh...erm...thank you but no, I can manipulate ice and melt it into fresh water and that's good enough for me. Thanks for asking." for the first time she felt parched and she tilted her hands and envisioned melted ice in her palm. SHe angled her hands towards her mouth.

"Where did Jake say he went?" she asked, looking at the two story house.

After leaving the Museaum Zak quickly transformed in to a Swine-tailed Swift & flew back to the mansion as quickly as possible. "I hope nobody finds out it was me. Crap, why do we have to have a psychic teacher." Zak landed in front of the gates & then demorphed. "Stupid security system.

OOC: @Visser, Yes, but not yet, I think that would be slightly OPing right now; I mean, in the RP, it's only been around 7 hours. He's thinking of something similar to gears 2 and 3, but hasn't figured the trick out yet. He'll figure it out soon.

 

IC: "Down to the basement," A-mah replied. "But I wouldn't follow him if I were you, Jake doesn't like people invading in his privacy, he barely tolerates me and the others. Whatever he's doing right now, I doubt he'd like you watching," the woman said sagely.

"So you feel that something big is about to happen at the Academy, huh?" Jake's father mused, pacing up and down in front of his son.

"Yeah, I don't know exactly what or when, but something's gonna happen, and it's not gonna be good. What should I do?" Jake was completely lost.

"Isn't it obvious?" Mr. Lee replied. "Do what you've been doing; train your hardest, think of new moves, and get a girlfriend!"

"Dad!" Lind shouted, blushing slightly, isn't that a bit much?!"

Alyssa nodded and then sat down on a small rock of ice she materialized.

"So It's been nice meeting you..." she said awkwardly, more than a little irritated about Jake leaving her behind like this.

"Actually I think I'll take you up on the offer of tea..." she decided, more than a little bored as well.

"Two orders of tea coming up!" A-mah said, walking back to the kitchen. Then Alyssa was alone with Dennis, who, for some reason, hadn't left yet.

"Soo..." Dennis started awkwardly. "You can control ice? Cool. I haven't gotten my powers yet."

"Nope!" Mr. Lee exclaimed. "It's perfectly natural for you to like a girl, and you're just around that age."

"Shut up, old man!" Jake exclaimed, now blushing furiously. "Anyway, do you have any new advice for me about my powers?"

"Hmmm..." Mr. Lee scratched his chin. "Well, there is one thing; how exactly do your powers work?"

"Ummm... I stretch like rubber at will?" Jake had no idea where this was going.

"Right, do you know just what you can stretch?"

"Ummm... everything, I guess?"

"Think about that, Jake, think about everything in the human body. Everything in your body can stretch like rubber."

Alyssa nodded in acknowledgement. "yeah, I control ice. I can make the surrioundings really cold, can conjure ice any place within eyesight." she said. "i'll demonstrate for you..." she concentrated hard and the surroundings became frigid with cold. She was unaffected. She made the temperature back to normal. "See?"

"Yeah, cool," Dennis replied, making a mental note of never to get on her bad side. "Hey, A-mah! Is the tea ready?" He called.

"No!" the woman yelled back. "China wasn't built in a day, you know!"

"Yeah, yeah," Dennis mumbled back, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Anyway," Jake's father said, "Your ATs are retuned, but not 100%"

"Yeah, yeah," Jake waved him off. "All that crap about having to find someone able to sense biorhythms." He grabbed the Ats, stuffed them in his backpack, and rushed back up the stairs to the living room, where his friend and sibling(s) were.

Ic: Ryan was in a Limozine on his way to the school, he had left when the professor died. When he got there he walked upstairs to his old room "Ahh, just the way I left it." Ryan said a he flicked through some books, chose one and threw himself on the bed "This is good." He grinned.

Alyssa nodded and smiled at him as she watched after a few minutes of sitting on her icy rock as A-mah came back out with two steaming cups of tea on a platter. "thank you very much, Mrs...?" she waited to figure out what she should call the grandmother of Jake. She took the steaming cup of tea and materialized some small ice cubes so it wouldn't be as hot when she drank the tea.

"Oh, just call me A-mah," the elderly woman replied. Right at that moment, Jake came back into the living room.

"Yo," he said, leaning on the doorway. "What's up?" And right at that moment, Juniper and Ray-Ray opened the door, coming in.

"Hey," June replied casually. "What'd we miss?"

"Nothing. Just having a bit of tea." said Alyssa casually but he looked at Jake with suspicious eyes. Why wouldn't he want to be followed to the basement? She was looking forward to seeing his parents. Not that seeing his siblings and grandmother a bad thing, but she was looking forward to seeing his parents.

"Cool, cool," Jake said awkwardly. Alyssa was kinda looking at him funny, and he didn't feel quite comfortable. "Well, since you're busy with the tea, you mind if I head up to my room for a bit?"

"You don't mean...?" Ray-Ray trailed off, looking into his brother's eyes.

"Yep," Jake answered, nodding his head. "I'm gonna play!"

"YES!" Ray-Ray and June exclaimed, "Can we come watch, huh?"

"Sure, guys, just cover your ears," the teen replied, already heading up the stairs. Soon enough, Hardcore rock drumming was heard.

Alyssa smiled. So Jake was a drummer. That explained it. "He's pretty good." she yelled over the music to A-mah and Dennis and June and the rest of the kids. She smiled. She hadn't heard good music in a while. her parents had put a taboo on any kind of rock or pop or modern music. She smiled again.

"Yeah!" June yelled back. "He's the best! Ray-Ray and I are gonna go watch him, wanna come?!"

"Naw," Dennis and A-mah yelled. "We're good!"

 

By this time, Jake had closed his eyes in concentration and was starting to sweat hard, his arms becoming nothing but blurs. There were two main times when he felt nirvana; when he was playing his drums, and when he was fighting a strong opponent.

Alyssa smiled as the two little ones left. "They're nice kids." she commented to A-mah as loudly as she could over the heavy rock. She looked at her watch. "OH!" she said, standing up and vanishing her rock. "Look at the time! I've gotta go. Tell Jake I said bye!" she said, stretching and giving her cup back to a-mah with a bow and then sprinting off into the distance. She created a sort of icy slide that helped her along the way. She got back in about thirty minutes seeing that Jake didnt come to catapult her.

After 30 minutes of awesome drumming, Jake finally finished. "That was awesome!" Ray-Ray exclaimed, running up to hug his brother. June walked up to him and gave a hug as well.

"You're the coolest big bro I could ask for," she sighed.

"Yeah,yeah, I know," Jake chuckled, they were so cute. He headed downstairs to get Alyssa to go, but she was gone. "Where'd she go?" He asked.

"She left a while ago," A-mah said casually.

"What!? Why didn't she tell me?!" Jake yelled.

"Well, you were so busy playing those drums of yours, that she felt that she didn't want to bother you."

"Crap!" Jake walked to the front door. "Well, it's been fun, but I've gotta go, tell Monroe I said 'hi!'" he walked out the door and shut it.

"Don't go!" Juniper and Ray-Ray ran to the door to tell him to stop, but by that time, he was out of sight.

Alyssa looked up as she panted to her dorm and saw a figure sailing above. Must be Jake, she mused. She decided to go out and apologize.

"Sorry for not telling you I left!" she said immediately as she saw Jake land in front of X Men High. "But I needed to go, I have a meeting with nightcrawler soon."

Blue smoke fills a nearby tree as Kenny then appears at the edge of the smoke looking at Alyssa. "oh your back.. finally found Nightcrawler and i've had a good little train, did you says you have a metting with Nightcrawler?". Kenny then dissappears teleporting around the school to that spot as Nightcrawler had also went Kenny appearing there again looking slightly exaughsted. "would you like some help getting there, i should be able to teleport with another person i mean i've been training since a short time after you had left with Jake" he says quietly".

"Oh, it's okay," Jake replied casually. "Just warn me in advance, will ya? I got worried about you." He started walking back to his dorm, "Anyway, have fun with Nightcrawler!" he called heading back to his dorm. 'Now what did Dad say about my powers?' he thought as he walked through the hallway to his dorm.
