As Lucia entered she could see the Inheritor kneeling in front of an alter. There was a picture above it as well. It seemed he was paying respects to this person. As he finished she felt she should speak up. He wanted to know what to do and Lucia knew what he was supposed to do. Still better to be polite first.

"Excuse me? If you don't mind I'd like to speak with you." she said quietly as she stepped a little further into the room. She had no idea how the Inheritor would react but she had to get him to accompany her.

Orephalos did not stop looking at the man who was now staring down at him. He was too busy staring at his two differently coloured eyes. It occured to him that there was a group of strange people entering town and he suspected that they may be all related. Orephalos got out of his seat, still holding his teacup.

"Excuse my rude behaviour sir, it is simply because travellers are an oddity in this little town. Actually, there have been a group of strange looking travellers. Would you be one of them or is this simply a coincidence?" Orephalos apologized as he got up slowly.

Jack softened "No, actually I come down once a week. Who are these... Travellers?" He asked. He knew traffic was rare in the area. Something about it unnerved him. Was that person outside a traveller?. "Have you seen a girl? Pink Hair, white dress. Is she a traveller?" He asked with an odd new sense of Urgency. His mood was turning course again. He thought as he spoke to the old man in the helmet.

Hayate turned quickly as he stood up, before he moved he reached back words flipping his Katana still fully wrapped with cloth into his hand, "Who are you? Why did you follow me here?" He was unsure what this girl was doing but he didn't wish to fight inside the Monastery especially in the place where his former Master had died.

Hayate noticed the girl had Pink hair and red eyes, immediately falling to the ground he had a flashback to the time he was told about his destiny. "A woman with Pink Hair and Red eyes will surely find you Hayate, then you will understand your mission and what you where destined to do." After the flashback completed in his head he laid the sword on the ground before him, "I'm sorry, Mrs.... I didn't realize you where an Inheritor like myself."

"Wait so you know?" Lucia asked, caught a bit off guard. She hadn't expected the man to know much about it. Though it did help her job a bit.

"I'm sorry, my name is Lucia Yule. And as you said I am an Inheritor of the Will of the Sky. It sounds like you know you are as well. I followed you because your assistance is needed. I need to gather all five Inheritors and when I saw your hair I recognized you were one. I'm sorry for intruding on a place so important to you." she said bowing slightly for a second.

"My name is Hayate Masaru, I was told to keep a watch out for a girl with pink hair and red eyes to show up to truly understand the full potential of my powers and to learn more about my destiny." Hayate stood up as he grabbed his sword, bowing in respect Hayate waited for her to explain somethings before he would choose what to do next.

"Well that would be me." Lucia said as she brushed her hair out of her face. It seemed that Hayate was now willing to listen to what she had to say.

"As you may or may not know from legend, every two hundred years the large Wyndia bird revives. This bird plagues the land, attacks the people, and threatens the planet of Ventus itself. For whatever reason it is the bane of all life on Ventus. In preparation the divine beings choose five unborn children 17 years before the bird is to revive to inherit very unique powers, and physical characteristics. Only these five, us, can slay this bird and save Ventus from complete destruction. Right now, only myself and one other know about all of this and we are on a journey to find the other inheritors and save Ventus. All five have to be present to defeat this bird. We, the other inheritors and all the people of Ventus, need your help. Please, will you accompany me?" Lucia said. She then stopped and looked to Hayate for his answer.

Hayate listened to Lucia as she explained the history of their destinations. "I will join you," is all he said before he turned toward the Altar for the last time and reputedly bowed before it. "I will join your group and hunt down this Bird, the only thing I have to ask is where are we heading to?"

Hayate turned back to Lucia and walked up to her, "By the way the names Hayate nice to meet you." Hayate extended his hand in a greeting fashion acknowledging her as his comander.

Lucia reached out and shook his hand.

"Thank you so much Hayate. As to where we're going, we've heard there's one other Inheritor here so we have to confirm that. And we still have to gather information on the last Inheritor. Though after all five are together, I've been told the divine beings will tell us how to go about defeating the bird." Lucia said. She was relieved that Hayate had accepted to come with them. She definitely didn't want to have to force anyone to come.

"My friends Kisune, he's the other Inheritor, and Scipio, are set up in the local inn. I don't know if you have a place to stay but you're welcome to stay in one of the rooms we have. Regardless I think you should come meet them." Lucia said.

((Bumping this for Andx))

The man had a little too much to drink, as was evident by his muttering and dizzy posture. The bartender still couldn't fathom how he appeared. After all, he stepped in the inn when a large dog was outside it. While all logic pointed to him being the dog, there were no such magiks capable of that.

Lucia and Hayate approached the inn. They had made really good time as Hayate knew the town well. As they entered Lucia took note of a few things. First, Scipio and Kisune weren't in the lobby, second, there was a man with an odd looking helmet sitting down, and third, there was another person in a cloak that seemed to have a very large back. The cloak seemed to bulge unnaturally. The innkeeper seemed to recognizer Lucia and told her the message Kisune had left.

"Thank you. Figures that Kisune would just go off to sleep. Now where's Scipio?" Lucia said quietly looking around. Though she might have seen Scipio in the nearby bar she was focused on the cloaked man. She just had a feeling that he was the second inheritor rumored to be here.

"Excuse me..." she said to Jack. However she wasn't sure how to phrase the question.

Jack looked at her flatly, both eyes showing. "Yes?" he asked. his wings almost twitched, but he stopped them. "What is it?" He continued as his eyes bore into her soul. HE didn't realize it, directly, but he knew they had their effect. He recognized her from outside, so he was a bit cautious with Lucia.

"It's just... I believe I have reason to think you're an Inheritor of the Will of the Sky. And if you are I need to speak with you further on what that means." Lucia said. She realized as she spoke that this person may very well not know what an Inheritor was. As he stared at her she felt some odd power to his gaze. The effect of the two differently colored eyes perhaps, but something seemed almost mesmerizing. Lucia made eye contact without meaning to and stared back into his eyes. Though not like with his eyes, many felt odd staring into Lucia's deep red eyes. Perhaps the color was just odd enough that it unsettled people. Lucia stopped thinking for a bit as she waited for his response.

He continued to stare, feeling her get lost in his eyes. Her Red eyes were intriguing, not odd. Then he spoke. "I don't know what you mean." He said. But, he did. His wings, he was told, meant he was an inheritor. Most people thought they made him a freak though. "But, I will go with you, if you wish." He growled this part out through clenched teeth. Another mood swing.

Lucia was glad that he had accepted but something seemed off with this person. He seemed angry near the end. Lucia wondered if it had been something she had said or if he really didn't want to come along. Lucia was also pretty sure which Inheritor he was. He had to be the Thunderbird Inheritor, but why was he covering his wings?

"Really? Thank you. I'll explain what I mean shortly, after I track down the other two who'll be going with us. But first thing's first. I'm Lucia Yule." she said to her soon to be new traveling companion.

"... Jack..." He said shyly now, not exactly in his will. He chided himself inside. "Alright. Come get me when you are ready." He walked toward the door. "I'll be back in a while." He had a feeling he would need to pack, so he headed back to his cave. When he was at the cliff, he pulled the cloak off, and flew up to the hole and entered. He then proceeded to pack.

Orepalos got his answer he was looking for without trying and even convieniently brought to him. This pink haired girl seemed to be collecting the Inheritors as she had yet another outsider to the inn, this one wearing a black robe with red clouds decorating it. Orepalos coughed a bit before talking.

"Excuse me, but you are all the new Inheritors? I never thought I'd live long enough to meet one, let alone all of them! Excuse me for interrupting. I am Orepalos the sage. What are your names?"

Hayate looked at the old man glaring into his eyes, "The names Hayate!" with that he said nothing else, instead he looked toward Lucia which she had just finished talking with another inheritor. As the man walked outside the building Hayate looked from the entrance back to Lucia, "So where is everyone else?"

Hayate sat in the chair right in front of Lucia, he had seemed to be quite impatient of waiting around for the others. "Is their anything we can do, I feel like Training or taking a Nap. Actually that's not a bad Idea," Hayate turned to the old man that was speaking to them, "So you work here?"

"I'm Lucia Yule. The other Inheritor, aside from Jack who just left, is Kisune Karnon. He has pale blue hair, you might have seen him. He should be up in the room, probably sleeping. Jack should be back before too long, and Scipio..."Lucia said looking around. Inside the bar she saw a interesting young man. Though she hadn't seen the form before she could tell it was Scipio, whether her power of the will or not she generally could tell where he was.

"... seems to be having fun in the bar. Though we still don't know where the fifth Inheritor is. Wait! What do you mean "New" Inheritors? In order for us to be new to you you'd have had to been alive 200 years ago! I can't say I buy that story, Orepalos was it?" Lucia said.

Orepalos chuckled a bit from Lucia's reaction, followed by coughing.

"Dear child! I did say I was a sage! I don't have to be two hundred years old to know that there was more than one set of Inheritors! You are simply the newest generation of Inheritors. It is an honour to meet one of such worldy importance!" Orepalos said, bowing.

"Now, you said that you are here to gather the Inheritors. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to help you. There are many people in this town that are strange looking and I would be able to tell you whether the people you select are Inheritors or simply a town fool."

"Right then. That makes a bit more sense. Though I have to say, it's really rare to find someone that actually knows what the Inheritors are anymore. Only the elders of a few villages know the full information and they talk about how disgracefully the people have forgotten about the Inheritors of the past. As for your offer, I think the help would be greatly appreciated. I know what the final Inheritor is supposed to look like vaguely but you say you would be abel to tell for certain? From just a glance?" Lucia asked. Many would not so easily accept an offer of help from a complete stranger. However Lucia often took one look at someone and determined whether or not that person was good. In her mind, why deny the assistance of a good person?

"Regardless, if you can hold your own in battle you're more then welcome to accompany us as far as you'd like." Lucia said.

((Bump for great justice. I also have the need to introduce a sub-plot. Which I will do. Like now.))

The darkness is a powerful tool; no one saw the cloaked man swoop down from a tree just barely bordering the city walls. No one saw him come up behind a guard as the rain drizzled lightly. No one saw him break his neck and throw the armor-less body behind a cart. No one saw him enter the main cathedral of the city. No one saw the shrouded figure enter the church, or stab the packing priest.

No one saw him drop a few round-ballish objects onto the cathedral floor.

No one saw him as he light his hand in flames.

No one saw him as the church bursted into flames.

As the town guards flocked to the now on-fire cathedral, no one saw the figure slip away from the crowd...

Orepalos heard the townsmen paniking outside the tavern. One of them burst in.

"The cathedral's on fire! We need the firefighting team assembled now!" shouted the townsman briefly, leaving right after delivering his message. Most of the people left the tavern to fight the fire. Orepalos got up, hold his back as he did.

"Oh dear, who would do such a thing? Set the cathedral on fire. Some kind of rotten bandit hoping to lure people out of their homes so he can loot them. Well I won't have that!" Orepalos said as he shuffled himself as fast as he could out the tavern before stopping to cough violently.

"Ugh...Can you spritely young folks help an old man? I have a way to put out the fire, but I need to get there first!"

"Of course! Hayate get him started on the way. I need to go get Scipio." Lucia said as she moved into the bar inside the inn. She walked over to a man who, to anyone else, appeared to be a complete stranger. However Lucia could tell it was Scipio from the unique presence he had. From behind she put her hand on his shoulder. She could tell the touch had been slightly unexpected. Not really a twitch just a slight shift. Then again, Scipio never really scared at anything.

"Say Scipio, I found the other two Inheritors, both of whom are now willing to accompany us. And there's a fire in town. Care to come?" Lucia asked.

Before Lucia had entered the room, Scipio had been flirting with a dark elf. Her light purple skin, odd amber eyes, and silver hair was very attractive. As he felt a familiar touch on his shoulder, he gave an inward sigh. He enjoyed being in this human form, it allowed him to enjoy a life he otherwise didn't have. But well, he had no choice. Smiling to the elf, "Sorry, duty calls." This received a giggle from the elf girl, who in turn smiled back. "It's fine, I can wait..."

With this, Scipio got off from his chair, and turned to Lucia. "Let's go."

Without another word, he left the bar.
