New Sonic games... Crap' date=' am I right?

[b']The new ones are just rubbish[/b], 'Were-hog'?! All that BS.

The old ones were just brilliant.

Your thoughts on the new/old games.

Project Needle Mouse disagrees...for now.

No it doesn't. We've seen absolutely 0% of gameplay.

Read the italics. The "for now" means "If Sega doesn't F up again."

The italics imply that it currently disagrees, which it is not.

my rating for the Sonic games that i played so far.

Sega Genesis

-Sonic 1: nice.

-Sonic 2: Excellent.

-Sonic 3: awesome.

-Sonic & Knuckles: awesome.

-Sonic 3 & Knuckles: I love it!!

-Knuckles & Sonic 2: I love playing as knuckles in Sonic 2.

-Sonic Spinball: its ok.

-Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine: "facepalm" don't like it at all( i prefer playing bust a move or super puzzle fighter which are much better than this).

-Sonic 3D Blast: is a good game but i prefer much more the Saturn version by far.

GameGear

-Sonic 1: good

-Sonic 2: good

-Sonic Chaos: Great

-Sonic Triple trouble: Great

-Sonic Drift 2: good

32x

- Knuckles' Chaotix: i know... i know, even though its not technically a Sonic game, it still like a sonic game. anyway, i like it its pretty good although i don't understand why people say the game controls because of the rings is difficult, i mean its pretty much straight forward and pretty fun.

Saturn

-Sonic 3d blast: by far the best one of the 4 versions, even though they are practically the same the special stage on the saturn and the controls(thanks to been compatible with analog stick) it makes it much better, the downside is the loading time and no save feature (which is interesting that the PC version has the save feature) =/.

-Sonic Jam: by far the best Sonic Collection ever.

-Sonic R: although a great racing game, the PC version is much better.

Dreamcast

-Sonic adventure:best sonic 3d game ever.

-Sonic Adventure 2: best sonic 3d game ever.

-Sonic Shuffle: not good, not only is a copy of Mario party but its story is not impressive either. =/

GameCube:

-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle: a bit of improvement on certain areas on the game, but still the best sonic 3d game like its dreamcast version.

- Sonic Mega Collection: is a good collection, to bad it didnt have Sonic CD

-Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut: is a good transition from the dreamcast to the GC but not without its flaws, but at least the emblems has some use in here to unlock the game gear games of sonic pluc as well from tails. also after you have everything you could play as metal sonic so is a plus in a way =).

-Sonic Heores: is a good game but not without its flaws.

-Shadow the Hedgehog: i know its not a sonic game, but i should talk about it since sonic is involve in it. the game is not great, it was interesting at first but then its like it gets repetitive my grip with this game is that it had so many unnecessary endings its not funny, you have to play the game over and over again to see some different endings just to get the real ending. why they couldn't just do this game like a full adventure instead of making that unnecessary replay.

-Sonic Riders: it was a good game but always trying to fill up the air meter tank was annoying. but the story was interesting, plus not to mention it was another Sonic racing game (to bad is not like Sonic R).

-Sonic Gem Collection: this is a great collection because it brought Sonic CD, Sonic Fighter (which is a good fighting game) and Sonic R (the pc version, not the saturn version) plus the Gamegear games that mega collection didn't include although you could get all the gamear games of sonic on the Sonic Adventure DX plus they include one that i think there was no need to, Vectorman since it shows up on the Sonic mega collection.

GameBoy Advance:

-Sonic advance: its a good game

-Sonic Advance 2: its a good game

-Sonic Advance 3: the best of the 3

-Sonic Battle: a pretty great fighting game.

Nintendo DS:

-Sonic Ruch: a great game i must say

-Sonic Rush Adventure: a great game, it has a good improvement than the first one although the story side was a little bit weak.

-Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood: an great game, at first i though Sonic and friends in an RPG style game might not work but after playing the game my worries were totally gone. although i find the game short, perhaps is just me.

PSP

-Sonic Rival: is a good game, but my proble with it is that its story is short and there not to may playeble characters or there no much stages to choose from.

-Sonic Rival 2: a better improvement from the first one but not bu much.

Xbox 360

-Sonic The Hedghog (2006): the worst game i ever play. Im not gonna lie, i when i saw this game trailer i was about to sheet my pants. but when i played the demo at first i dint like how the controls felt, although i expected to be bad since it was just a demo and maybe they would fix it later on...i was so wrong..., the game was horrible. the concept idea of the story of time traveling was interesting ( it even makes reference to Sonic CD in one of the quest that you must race some guy that has a Sonic Cd shirt on) but the control was bad and the loading time was horrible, heck everytime your gonna do a quest you have to pass for like 2 or 3 loading times before starting the quest (FUUUUUU....!!!). and the glitches, ...omg... i have never experience this so severely (specially one that makes you a sudden stop, that was freaking annoying) and the speed runs was so limit it was horrible. it felt for me that this was not a Sonic game. also the appearance of Silver as another Hedgohg was getting annoying but his gameplay was interesting. but still the game is horrible

-Sonic Unleashed: i don't actually posses this game, but a friend of mine lend it to me. it looks nice but for some strange reason i prefer the Wii version more. the Sonic stage are really nice and the speed is great but the werehog stage is terrible.

Wii

-Sonic and the Secret Rings: making sonic going into a story book was interesting at first, but the gameplay and the control were bad. the story was entertaining at least.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: when i heard about this the first time i couldn't believe it even when it was confirm and the official site was up. manage to the get he game, pretty cool although what it kills me is the complexity some of the games has plus not to mention certain games were not so responsive.

-Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity: a better improvement from the first Sonic Rider game, but my problem with this game is that it was way much easier than the first one ( it was so much easy, i didn't even need to do so much stuff to collect the golden tickets) plus the story been some what lacking and no Online gameplay at all( just only to play against players replay ghosts) this game lost its chance to be great.

Sonic Unleashed: a great game, it might not be in high standards like the 360 or PS3, it did pretty good. the Werehog stages for me on the Wii are much better than the ones on the 360 but still not without its flaws ( for both version i wish they would have give the Werehog stage much more dedication like they did to Sonic in his day time stage, then perhaps it could have been better). Controlling Sonic in day time compare to the 360 version is much more responsive.

-Sonic and the Black Knight: is a nice game, but the story is extremely short for my taste. but is a better improvement from Sonic and the Secret Rings thats for sure.

-Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games: a great game, this game has really improve from the Mario and Sonic Olympic Game. although the control is somewhat a bit unresponsive in certain areas, it is much better than the other one. ( im actually hoping to see someday a true Mario and Sonic adventure or a true Mario and friends vs Sonic and friends fighting game, not counting SSBB).

well those are the games that i played so far.

IMO' date=' they stopped being great after Sonic Adventure 2 (SA2 Battle included). Sonic Heroes was decent. Shadow the Hedgehog sucked. So did Sonic '06. Unleashed was alright, but became wasted potential because of the lame werehog stages.

funny icon dude

i like sonic spinball, sonic battle, sonic 1 - sonic and knuckles, and sonic chaos.

I liked Sonic Adventure 2 for GBA' date=' but I don't really like most of the other older games (mainly on the Collector's Edition for PS2).

[/quote']

.....you mean Sonic Advance 2, right?

Because there was no Sonic Adventure 2 for the GBA.

I personally loved Sonic games back in the day, but the new releases continue to disappoint. What happened to all the side-scrolling 2D speed? It made the series great, IMO. Sonic Advance and Sonic the Hedgehog were perfect examples of this speed, and those games were received well, so why change the formula? Sure, I could see Sega naturally wanting to experiment with other types of gameplay...but seriously, combat with Werehog? It's an absolute joke. The overhead Sonic games weren't bad...they just felt different to me. And Sonic needs to stop getting new sidekicks! Seriously!

IMO.

I liked 2006 sonic the hedgehog' date=' although it had alot of bugs i thought it was pretty fun to play. Sega shouldn't have rushed it though for the ps3 release and maybe got dlc to fix some of the bugs instead of giving more courses.

[/quote']

there was suppose to be a patch for both the 360 and ps3 to fix all the problems, but they decided to cancel it since the game was not successful.
