Akiza beamed. "Alright! Now...I draw!" Akiza withdrew a card from her Deck and added it to her hand. She stared at her hand then glanced up at the field. She smilied, "Alright I'll take the Defense, I summon Marauding Captain in Defense Mode!" A black circle appeared on the ground before Akiza and a flash of light burst from it. A tall man wielding two swords leapt out and landed on the ground.

 

OoC: New rule added - When dueling you must ask your opponent if they counter your move before completing your turn. When you are replying to this you must use an OoC only post

 

Now do you counter?

"Continue. My face-down wont do much good whilst your summoning weak creatures such as that." Kyko replied with a shallow smile, holding her hand of cards tightly. Just need you to bring out 1 more monster... Then I can bring out my gift and you'll be stuck for a while... Kyko smile grew, and she couldn't help but laugh quietly to herself as she just glared challengingly at Akiza.

Akiza nodded smiling. "Then I'll finish up by setting 2 cards face-down." 2 cards appeared on either side of her. Akiza pointed at Kiwi and laughed "Your move Kiwi!" She glanced at her kneeling Captain and laughed softly.

Kyko looked ratherly unsettled at Akiza not summoning another monster from Marauder's effect. "Okay then! Draw!" Kyko drew another card from her Deck, and glanced at it with a mischevious smile. If I pull this off, I can get very close to victory. "Okay then! First off, I'll summon Mask of Synchronization! Any response!?" Kyko asked, as she placed a card down on her Duel Disk. Almost immediately did the mask appear, it's appearance being very cube like and utterly repulsive at the same time. "Responses?"

Akiza blinked then smiled. "Nope, none from me." She glanced at he Captain, then back at the Mask. 'Such a small creature, I wonder what it's for.' "Go on! I've got nothing for you..yet." Akiza laughed and winked at Kiwi.

"Now that this is all set up, I can send my Grand Tiki and my Mask of Synchronization to the Graveyard to Synchro Summon my Mask of Reincarnation!" Kyko said with a large smile, giggling as both creatures withered off and in their place a large Mask stood. This mask was absolutely crazy in appearance. It had a large eye that seemed to glare into Akiza's eyes, and 3 tongues shot out of it's eyelids. "Any Response?"

Akiza shook her head smirking. "Come at me!" she called tauntingly to Kiwi. 'Why summon a monster as weak as that? It's only got 100 ATK and DEF...Unless...That face-down.' Akiza frowned and smiled curiously.

"Now, I know you wont be expecting something like this! Go, Foolish Burial!" Kyko couldn't help but let out a very loud laugh. "Now, I send The Masked Beast to the Graveyard and activate Reincarnation's ability! Now, by sending it to the Graveyard if you have no responses, I can Special Summon my The Masked Beast from the Graveyard! So yeah, any responses!?" Kyko asked in a rush, anxious to get her beast out onto the field.

Shocked, Akiza shook her head slowly. 'Oh hell...this...Is not good.' Akiza wrenched her gaze from the beast and stared at Kiwi. "No response here."

"Hehe! Here we go then! Come out, The Masked Beast!" Kyko discarded The Masked Beast into the Graveyard slot of her Duel Disk, and as she did so, her Mask of Reincarnation started to bulge in multiple places. A few seconds past, and it burst with a large amount of smoke. As the smoke cleared, what was left in it's place was The Masked Beast. "Haha! Now, The Masked Beast, attack Marauder!" Kyko commanded with a victorious smirk on her crimson lips.

A smirk spread across Akiza's face. "Sorry but that was all for nothing!" Akiza pointed at the face-down to her left, "I activate the Trap Card Sakuretsu Armor! With this card, your Masked Beast crumbles!" Akiza laughed, "Can you counter that?"

"Then I guess you better catch my card Akiza! You'll be getting my Mask of Happiness!" Kyko said with a smile, but was now aware that she had no cards in her hand. "Your cards effect is cancelled, and to boot you also get my Mask of Happiness in face-up Defense Position. So now, I think you'll find my Beast continues to attack! Any further responses?" Kyko asked, a large smile across her face.

This card allows me to subsititute this card for the card you WOULD have destroyed!" Akiza winked as the card stood up and glowed. "Any Response?"

Kyko growled in a low pitch. "Nothing..." As Kyko's words were spoken, The Masked Beast looked at her as he was destroyed. Kyko, nearly instantly, grabbed her chest for some reason and a tear strolled down her cheek. "You destroyed my Mask..." As Kyko spoke, her mask broke in half and shattered around her. "You broke it..." Kyko now just looked at the ground, not even bothering to make a move. "End..."

Akiza blinked in shock. "Im...I'm...Sorry." Akiza touched the top card of her deck and pulled it away without looking at it. After a few moments she glanced at her hand. "I...I summon Card Trooper in attack mode. Next I'll switch my Marauding Captain to Attack Position to lay waste to your Mask of Happiness...Any...Response?"

OoC: Mask of Happiness is on your side of the field.

"Your directly attacking me..? No... Nothing..." Kyko replied, hopelessness in her voice. She just remained looking at the ground as she took the hit, not even bothering to let the pain of losing 1200 Life Points get to her. "Just keep going... let's finish this quickly..."

IC: "Al...Alright. I next activate Card Trooper's Special Effect. It allows me to send the top 3 cards of my Deck to the Graveyard to boost his Attack by 500 for each card tossed." Akiza withdrew 3 cards from the top of her deck and slide them into the Graveyard. "Now he has 1900 Attack. Not I'll let him charge in with a direct attack! Any counters?"

"No... Nothing still..." Kyko replied, taking the 1900 points of damage. She had no emotion upon her face, even still with an attack as powerful as Card Trooper's coming straight at her. She took the blast with no signs of damage, but her Life Points dropped significantly. "Are you finished yet..?" Kyko asked as Card Trooper's attack finished. Her head was still downwards, facing the ground.

"Afraid so, but I'll end with my Nightmare's Steelcage Spell Card. This card keeps us both safe for 2 turns. No monsters can attack." As Akiza place the card into it's slot, a ball of light appeared above her head. Suddenly a circular cage fell from the ball and landed around Akiza. The ball of light vanished and Akiza sighed. "Your move Kiwi."

"Then I guess I should draw..." As Kyko drew, she still dare not raise her head. She glanced at her card, and sighed. "Nothing I can do... I surrender, I'm not gonna win..." Kyko said, and as she said that she surrendered a tear fell and splashed against her shoes. She then kneeled down and picked up the 2 pieces of her mask, before running back inside the cafe with tears constantly falling as she moved.

"Oh! Kiwi!" Akiza stared after her. She sighed and deactivated her duel disk. The images before her vanished as she removed her cards and returned them to her Deck then extracting her deck, she slipped it into her pocket. She stood still staring around. A few people walked past and some were entering near by shops. Akiza sighed and walked into Le Frais Cafe.

Duncan reached out and stopped a hurrying Kyko. "Kyko! Whats up? Whatcha cryin for?" He blinked and kicked the box that was behind him out of the way. "Come on, come and sit down."

[Guest Lily]

Kiwi just sat down in her corner of the cafe, keeping to herself and ignoring Duncan. She glanced at her mask, another tear falling from her eye and splashing against it's rough steel surface. Afterwards, Kiwi couldn't help but feel herself becoming so emotional that she started to make small timid sounds as she cried, stroking against the surface of her mask. "You were the only thing... The only good thing... The only thing that made me feel protected..." Kiwi sobbed, before burying her head in her hands.

Akiza slipped silently into the Cafe and moved toward her Booster Pack counter. She stared at Kiwi before turning to Duncan. "My shift is up. I'm out." As she turned away, Akiza called to Kiwi, "See ya later, Kyko." When Akiza stepped out of the Cafe she moved for her Duel Runner and placed her duel disk into it's alotted spot. The screen flashed on and a female voice spoke, "Hello Akiza Kozaki, where will we be going today?" Akiza sighed and shrugged, "Let's check out Duel Rink. Maybe theres a few people there." Akiza revved up the duel runner and sped off.

Kiwi's sorrow just fueled her anger, and noticed that her shift was over. "Shift's over. Leaving this place." Kiwi said with a very anger filled voice to Duncan, before walking out of the cafe. She looked at the 2 pieces of her mask and smirked, placing 1 half of her mask onto her face before whistling. A few moments after the whistle was sent, a Sector Security officer arrived. "Where is it now Kyko? You know I'm on a shift." The Sector Security asked. "I cant street duel now. Just come on, tell me where." Kyko smirked. "Duel Rink. Street Duels are being held their today."

Brandon felt rather bored today, which usually was a rare case, since he was in his favorite place, the abandoned train station dubbed 'The Train Graveyard'. There was a huge crash outside of the station, which had two trains colliding each other not long ago, but the police has yet to clear up the crash. It was a good thing, since not a lot of people come along, but it was bad since again, not a lot of people came. He left the area and started walking down the main street. "Hmm, wonder where I should go? Maybe the Duel Rink. Heard it was a great place to duel." he said as he started walking down the road to his desired destination, hoping to meet some strong duelists. He looked at his duel disk and noticed some new cracks. "I better get a new one soon. This one will probably crack within 4 more duels."
