School Grounds

Talia walked around the school grounds, waiting for the classes to start the day. She had heard that some kids got in a fight on the first day, a couple of days ago. Really, she hadn't believed the person who had told her, so she had decided to see if they were actually in the infirmary, and to her surprise, there were actually some kids in there who looked seriously injured. "Ouch," she mumbled, as she continued to wander around the grounds to wait for her classes. She decided to look through her deck.

My Dorm Room

Zach had just woke up to a bright sunny day. A couple of days ago was the first day and he had already dueled someone. He didn't like that he had to use a field spell in his deck.

School Yard

After he got ready he went to the School Yard. Well he waited for class to start he tryed to find John. He looked around. He couldn't find him. "Huh.. he must still be in is dorm.

Mathematics Room

The week was almost over, and Gemin had pretty much gotten used to the daily routine. For the past few days, Gemin had showed them the basics of the tools they were going to be using. Today was their first day actually learning. At least, according to his lesson plan. It was on simple probability.

 

While waiting fir the bell, Gemin pondered the use of Apex speed, and it's beneficial use to his deck. As of current, he found none. Unless he used continuous-style spell cards, he would lose in less than eight turns. He decided to use Speed cards that involved his deck. It was always good to take less of a chance on a risk like that.

Just then, the bell rang.

Appearance: blond hair, blue eyes, average height

Backstory: When Ryu was little his parents died leaving him to fend for himself. He found a few cards and started up a deck. He dueled to live while on the streets. then one day he was adopted and sent to Apex Academy.

Personality: Brilliant, lazy, and an excellent tester

Deck used: Dragonian (link is in sig)

The bell rang. I gave John a message still thinking he was still asleep saying: Hey John! Wake up the bell rang!!

Math Room

I came into the math room and sat down in my seat. I waited for the lesson to start as I did I sent a second message to John saying: Are you out of your bed yet. You could get screwed over if you don't get your butt over here.

Ooc: Isn't this a Yugioh School?

 

Ic: Donny was thinking about who might have wrote that in his book, He remembered all of people that was mad at him for other stuff. Maybe it was a girl or something I don't think I should really worry

Dorm Room

John, habitually a late sleeper, was woken by Zach's message. Zach's second message.

"Oh--" he swore. The t-shirt that he slept in wasn't clean. He didn't like wearing his Ra tailcoat but that was the best way to go. Pulling it over himself and quickly brushing his teeth, he rushed out of the room.

Mathematics Classroom

He just managed to get in when Gemin began speaking.

"Sorry I'm late," he murmured. He took a hasty seat next to Zach, muttering, "Thanks" to him.

OOC: Noone going to have joined me in the fight?

 

IC: Infir'

Kris laughed as he was let out of the infirmary. The other five guys (Who he beat up single handedly) were still to badly injured and had to stay in the infirmary. He was still laughing as he came up to the door of the classroom he was supposed to be in but stopped as he opened the door.

Math Classroom

"Sorry I'm late sir. Was in the 'firmary." He said as he walked over to his desk. He saw a few people eye him warily but ignored them. He nodded to John a few seats across and at Zach a few seats behind. Then he yawned as class had begun, sometimes getting a few stinging feelings from his broken nose.

Math Room

Gemin glanced at John. "I just finished taking attendance. Well, you better sit down."

Beginning the lesson, Gemin started with a recap, "I'm sure you know at least a little about probability. Whenever you flip a coin, you use basic knowledge of the concept. I'm also pretty sure you know what Arcana Force monsters are. So, this being a probability course, we'll start with those."

Taking out his deck, Gemin picked out a card and played it. "This is Arcana Force: The Fool. Even playing this card requires a coin flip. Now, say the effect you desire is heads. Then, we have a probability problem. What are the odds that the coin flip will result in heads? To solve it, we put it into a fraction form." Stowing away his deck and disk, he turned to the Smartboard. "In a basic prabability like this problem, we put the favorable odds over the total odds. Because heads is the only favorable result out of two, the odds of the coin landing heads is 1/2."

 

Finishing the first part of his lecture, he turned to the class. "Are there any questions before I go on? Or can I continue?"[/b]

Math Room:

Donny sat down at his table thats next to Kris. Donny was dieying to duel someone but he doesn't want to shout it out in the world he's not that kind of guy. Who am I suppose to duel now? Donny thought to himself. Donny looked at Kris, " Hey Kris wanna duel at Lunch or something? "

Math Room

Talia sprinted to the Math Room, hoping she wouldn't get caught. She burst into the Math room, exasperated, and out of breath. "I'm... Here...." She panted, sliding into a seat. She expected for the math teacher to give her a detention or something for being late, so she braced herself for a lecture, preparing for the worst. Like her brother had always told her to do. 'Expect everything, and the unexpected will never happen.' She was pretty sure it was a quote from a book or something, but he still always said it.

Ryu was running faster than he ever did before "No i'm gonna be late on my first day of school." He ran then stopped, "Wheres the Math class at." He looked around for someone, "I think its this way." He busted into the room "Sorry i'm late!"

Gemin eyed the tardy students. He had this all planned out. " Alright, that's one. This means that you two must come to my classroom at one lunch period this grading session or I deduct a letter grade. Even if you turn out to be a perfect student."

He never wanted to give a detention like this, especially in one of the first few days of school, but it was needed to keep them focused on his lesson plan. He also did the same thing to the student that had spoken out, Donny, and marked them in his gradebook.

Appearance: Large black beard and short black hair lab coat

Backstory: When he was a kid he always was playing with chemicals and Dueling. He then saw cards that combined both. Using his knowladge of chemical reactions he duels with presicion and success.

"Cool, having a broken nose helps in a situation like this. No dentention!" He accidentaly shouted out. Oh s**t, teach is probably going to give me a detention for that though. He said as he braced for a big lecture about not disturbing the class and how you dont shout out and such. Broken noses cant help you out in a situation like that. While he was braced he pulled a note out from under the desk which said, Ok, I'll duel you. Which he had if anyone challenged him in class.

Talia sighed as she slumped down in the chair. She would most likely come to the lunch detention, she didn't really have any friends at Apex Academy, at the time. But even if she didn't, her grades would most likely be brought back up after it was brought down. Usually, she studied a lot, when she wasn't dueling somebody. Talia was almost always a perfect student. Which was pretty bad sometimes.

great just what Ryu needed a detention. well this would give him time to work on his deck and homework. or maybe he'll get lucky and he will be able to duel his way out. Maybe the teacher will just forget. well he could worry about that later right now he needed to be focus. "I hate odds why did i get stuck in Probability, i mean who cares what the odds of winning a duel are or how much of a chance you have to draw that one perfect combo. ah whatever." he thought to himself.

Ooc: Oh pegasu since your a girl character you might want to know that Donny is a chick magnet all the girls have a crush on him..

 

Ic: Donny smiled when he got the noteand some of the girls in the class made a love sigh sound that made Donny blush. Donny then looked at the teacher and saw that he was looking at him while writing down something, that made him even blush more. Donny saw another note slide under his table, he picked it up and read it, the first few seconds of reading it made him blush,

Peter was already in class. He stared at Gemin, and thought to himself, I already know this stuff, isn't it obvious? He looked around, then back at Gemin. He put his elbow on his desk, and held his head up with his hand. This was going to be a long day-no, a long year for him. He was just glad he wasn't dueling and getting schooled. He never, ever wanted to duel again. Kids might make fun of him, and if he went into rage again? That would mean good-bye Apex Academy for him.

Ok so Shattered Sorrow, kensei7272, magnet soldier (o.o.) and radio414 (gasp!) have all ignored the rule about typing location. The latter two don't usually do it and kensei7272 is new, but Shattered Sorrow's a repeat offender. I'm gonna -Rep him next time he forgets. Please DON'T FORGET.

When Kris nodded at him John nodded back. When Donny challenged Kris, John made a mental note to watch the duel--since he wanted to duel Donny and exact revenge for claiming to be capable of beating Yusei and Jack.

John thought that all the kids being late was pretty funny. He saw Gemin mark the names in his book and chuckled out loud. Not too loudly, though.

Donny looked at John who recently was giving him the evil eyes, Hmph, hes starting to become a jerk. Donny fixed his beanie for no particular reason and looked at the board with multiple math problems. Alright so the first question is easy Dimmensonal Analysis so I should change.. Donny thought to himself. Donny was always focused on the thing that went face to face. In about 1 minute he was finished with the 4 questions on the board, Donny leaned back on his chair crossed his arms and started thinking about his duel with Kris.

John noticed Donny see him staring at him.

Maybe I'm taking this too far, he thought.

Ever since he'd played Blacklight Dragon he hadn't been himself. Not only had the card cost him a trip to the Infirmary--by this time he was sure it was the card--it had some long-time effects on his personality. He took it out and looked at it for a good minute before putting it back in his deck box.

He sent a note to Donny:

Dude, sorry about the time in the Infirmary, I usually Duel only for fun. How about I join your Duel with Kris this afternoon, making it a three-way duel?

[Sorrow.]

Math Room

Donny opened the note under the desk, and instantly Donny got on all fours of his chair it excited him seeing the three-way duel part Donny looked at John and nodded at him gave him a thumbs up. He got so exicted he looked at the girl behind him and winked at her and all the other girls some of them fell off there chairs or somemthing. Donny realized what he did and shoved his face in his note book.

Chuckling at Donny's enthusiasm and flashing a thumbs up back at him under the desk, he warily wrote out another note--this time to Kris:

Dude, Donny says I can join your Duel this afternoon (3-way pwnage ftw) but it wouldn't feel right just barging in without your permission as well. So--how about it?

"I hope Gemin didn't see all that," said John under his breath, quickly doing a few probability problems in his notebook. He would've preferred this to be a Calculus course, because calculus, according to him, was one of the most amazing branches of human knowledge in existence, astronomy being another. Still, he was grateful that it was Probability and not Statistics, since Statistics bored him and was just as applicable in Duels.

Talia waited for Math to end impatiently. She drummed her fingers on her desk lightly, and her leg was shaking. 'Come on stop, stop doing that, it'll just be more detention...' She thought to herself, as she finally stopped moving around. Talia listened to the teacher tell them about Mathematics. Talia had really already known that stuff, but it didn't matter, so she still listened to the teacher, half-resentfully.
