Hatchlings

I was inspired to make the Hatchlings after I played Crystal Beasts for the first time. They transform into Continuous Spell Cards, so I think a lot of people will start whining that they are exactly like Crystal Beasts, but they actually work very differently.

When I was making these, I had one specific goal in mind: NO TRUMP CARD! The Hatchlings have no fancy Ace Monster (though Hamon does fit that category). Anyway, on the cards:

 

Gold Hatchling (LIGHT)

(*) x 2

[Dragon/Effect]

Once per turn, you can select 1 "Hatchling" monster from your Deck and place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zones as a Continuous Spell Card. When this Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card.

ATK 1200 / DEF 0

 

Silver Hatchling (LIGHT)

(*) x 1

[Dragon/Effect]

During your Standby Phase, you can reveal this card in your hand to return 1 "Hatchling" card from yor side of the field or your Graveyard to the owner's hand. When this Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card.

ATK 100 / DEF 1700

 

Whiptail Hatchling (WIND)

(*) x 1

[Dragon/Effect]

When this Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. While this card is a Continuous Spell Card, all "Hatchling" monsters you control gain 400 ATK.

Sawtooth Hatchling (EARTH)

[Dragon/Effect]

When this Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. While this card is a Continuous Spell Card, all monsters your opponent controls lose 300 ATK and DEF, during damage calculation only, when they battle a "Hatchling" monster.

Pearl Hatchling (WATER)

(*) x 3

[Dragon/Effect]

While you control 2 or more "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Cards, this card cannot be attacked. During your End Phase, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Cards you control x 200. When this Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card.

ATK 1400 / DEF 800

 

Jade Hatchling (EARTH)

(*) x 3

[Dragon/Effect]

This card gains 200 ATK for each Continuous Spell Card you control. When this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. When this Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card.

ATK 1500 / DEF 1500

 

Dark Hatchling (DARK)

(*) x 5

You can send 1 "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Card you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, when this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. You take no Battle Damage when this card battles. At the end of the Damage Step, you can select 1 Spell Card from your Deck that has "Hatchling" in its effect(s) and add it to your hand.

Hatching

Field Spell Card

When this card is activated, select 1 Level 3 or lower "Hatchling" monster from your Deck and Special Summon it. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can select 1 "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Card you control and Special Summon it.

 

Diamond Promise

Normal Spell Card

Select up to 3 "Hatchling" monsters from your Graveyard and place them face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zones as Continuous Spell Cards. During each of your End Phases, send 1 of them to the Graveyard.

 

Diamond Drop

Quick-play Spell Card

During your Main Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to activate its effect. Special Summon 1 "Hatchling" monster from your Graveyard or Spell & Trap Card Zone. Then you can Special Summon 1 "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Card you control.

 

Diamond Counter

Counter Trap Card

During either player's turn, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to activate its effect. Send 1 "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Card you control to the Graveyard to negate the activation and effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster's effect and destroy it.

 

Diamond Fragment Wind

Quick-play Spell Card

During either player's turn, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to activate its effect. Send up to 2 "Hatchling" cards you control to the Graveyard and apply 1 of the following effects: * Destroy cards on the field equal to the number of cards sent. * Draw cards equal to the number of cards sent.

 

Radiant Diamond

Field Spell Card

While you control 5 "Hatchling" Continuous Spell Cards, you can send all cards on the field to the Graveyard (except this card), then Special Summon as many Level 3 or lower "Hatchling" monsters from your Graveyard.

 

Diamond Oath

Normal Spell Card

You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to activate its effect. Activate only while you control 5 or more different "Hatchling" cards by removing from play 1 "Radiant Diamond" from your hand or Graveyard. The effect of this card becomes the same as that of the removed card.

 

The Diamond Dimension

Field Spell Card

When this card is activated, Special Summon up to 3 of your removed from play "Hatchling" monsters. Monsters sent to the Graveyard cannot be removed from play.

(So yes, this is for the Side Deck)
