"Let's just stick to the Conjunctivitis Curse, okay?" Rigel said, looking at one of the illustrations. "It's pretty gruesome, those are."

Rigel took his position, took a step forward, bowed and stepped back. His wand pointed at Alyssa, and yelled, "Expelliarmus!" And a bolt of yellow light shot from his wand.

Alyssa scrambled for her wand as it flew out of her hand, and it landed six feet away. "Incarcerous!" she said, waving her wand frantically at Rigel. Rigel's arm was wrapped in ropes.

"that was clumsy of me," she said and said "incarcerous!' again and this time Rigel's torso was wrapped.

"Should I unwrap you now or should we continue on with the duel, you still wrapped?" she said, waving her wand, getting it ready with a "diffindo" so she could unwrap Rigel if necessary.

Rigel moved his hand slightly, pointing at the crease between his arm and chest, muttered, "Relashio" and the ropes fissured.

"Accio Wand!" he said, Alyssa's wand flying to him off the ground. He pointed his wand at her. "I guess this is a win for me."

He threw Alyssa her wand and continued training, both of them equally good, with Alyssa's knowledge of jinxes but her lack of want to actually hurt Rigel, though Alyssa was now keeping a better watch on her wand, which made it harder for Rigel to get it away from her.

Alyssa did the bat bogey jinx and Rigel's head was surrounded by snot-spitting bats. She then said, "Tallantallegra!"

Rigel did a mad dance on the ground. She looked around for more creative spells to use. While Rigel was occupied she pulled out a random spellbook and flipped through it. "Ventus!" a blast of air gushed through the place.

"Oh, wow..." she said.

"Finite Incantantem" Rigel said, the bats disappearing, and his legs lying motionless as he rested on the padded floor. "I think that is enough for tonight. It is... whoa... It's already eleven PM."

When Rigel walked back into the main room, three more people had joined in. Lysander Scamander (son of Luna Lovegood and Rolf Scamander) was standing there, his wand in his hand, looking at Rigel appreciatively as Rigel noticed he and his brother Lorcan were standing there, more Ravenclaw hanged beds lining the walls. A Hufflepuff boy, whom Rigel didn't know, and Dominique Weasley (daughter of Bill and Fleur Weasley).

Alyssa walked in and greeted the newcomers. "So you've heard about our cause?" she asked them.

They all nodded yes.

"good. We need all the students we can get." she said. "The hogwarts teachers aren't going to fend off attackers all by themselves." she said.

She looked at all of them. "good. No one below fourth year other than Rae."

"I guess I'll take lead, considering I'm oldest," Rigel said, "But I won't be the only one. Alyssa will too. I've got... Oh, wait a second. Anima?"

The elf appeared with a crack in the middle of the room, holding a plate of cakes above his head, and placing them on the table, which had lengthened and added more chairs. Anima bowed to Rigel, said to him, "If you need Anima at all, just call again, young master."

"Okay, Anima," said Rigel, sitting down as all the others did so too, the elf carrying trays of cakes and bowls of pudding onto the table, bowls and plates materializing as they sat down. Rigel nodded to Dominique and Lysander, who were both in his year. "You two, come into the training room after you have your fill. I want to train. In fact..."

A whiteboard appeared on a wall, and Rigel waved his wand, the words Group Training After Dessert.

Alyssa smiled. maybe Rigel wasn't so bad after all.

She had already eaten so she stored her food away, she would eat it later. It was going to be a long, sleepless night as far as she was concerned. The Room of Requirement was surprisingly...stretchy. It was as large as two classrooms now, with a other rooms as well. There was a boy's room and a girl's room along with two separate bathrooms.

"this is awesome, she said simply.

By the time they all finished eating it was 11:30.

"Training time." she announced simply as she led the group into the training room.

"Now. This will be what we will call a 'hectic fight'." she instructed. "Spells will be flying around the room at random targets, for this is how a fight will be. Jinxes and all hexes are allowed, no unforgivable spells and NO KILLING! We're all on the same side in the real battle, but for now we'll be fighting. Let's go! On my whistle!" which had just appeared on her neck. "THREE...TWO...*tweeeeet* Ventus!" a gust of wind blew through the room as the fight commenced and jinxes flew around the room randomly.

"It's fine!" she smiled broadly. "it's all about the tra--arrgghhhh!" a handfull of writhing tubers erupted on her head. "Relashio!" she used the revulsion jinx to get them off.

"Desaugeo!" she fired the curse back to the person who cast it. She did a couple of more random jinxes in different directions.

"this is actually fun when you don't involve killing and unforgivable curses." she smiled briefly then fired another volley of jinxes. "Petrificus Totalus! Furnunculus! Conjunctivitis!"

"Finite Incantantem Totalus!" said Rigel, brandishing his wand to the cieling, all spells stopping and fizzing out, the effects wearing out. "Okay, while that is the more likely approach, trying to take down as many as possible -" he threw a glance at Alyssa "- we still need to practice some good, basic spells, because some people -" he glanced at Alyssa again "- forget that some of the easiest spells are most effective."

"Now, pair up with someone," he said, followed by a minute where everyone shuffled around, leaving Rigel with Dominique, who was staring at Rigel curiously. "And on the count of three, use the Disarming Spell. Remember, the incantation is 'Expelliarmus'. And the other should try using Protego to rebound the spell."

Soon, the air was full of wands, all being called back to their owners with the Summoning Charm.

"Protego!" he said, the glittering shield deflecting the burst of light, making it reverse direction and hit Alyssa in the chest. Rigel waved his wand, looking at Alyssa. She had been hit by her own spell, which was pretty strong to begin with.

"Sorry about that," he said, offering her his hand. When she was back on his feet, he re-assumed his position. He pointed his wand at Alyssa and said, "Expelliarmus!"

Zach opened the wall of the room of requirement. He shot a protego charm straight at the line of fire of Rigel's expelliarmus spell. The spell shot off. He shot a series of five expelliarmus towards Rigel. His wand flew all the way to the other side of the room. "Have room for one more? You two cant head the battle without me, or at least I wont let you." Zach smirked. "I have a complete book of spell, charms, hexes, jinxes, curses, and counter curses. Any spell every verified and some not. This has been my home for as long as I can remember so I'm not going down without a fight." Zach spoke firmly. "I think we should set up our plan soon. Not sure how much time we have left. I'll take a tower and report back when I see anything." Zach said

OoC: miss me much, anyway my comps broke and the people i was stealing internet from locked the router so someone will have to take me over.

Rae gripped her wand as she was paired with Angus, who was older then her, and probably knew more advanced and complicated spells. She racked her brain for as many spells as she could, the best ones to use against Angus. She could use the bat-bogey, or Petrificus Totalus, the Body-bind curse. Of course, she would start with Expelliarmus, but obviously he would be prepared for that. She would also ahve to use Salvio Hexia, in case Angus would try and do any hexes.

Rigel glared at Zach, a flare of hatred in his eye. "We were practicing using Disarming Spells and Shield Charms," he said, almost growling at Zach, who he didn't trust any more than Grubbly-Plank, "You should've left the castle hours ago. How did you know about this place?"

Not waiting for a reply, Rigel turned back to the group, his expression changing to that of a kind instructor, saying to the mass, "Okay, guys, that was a really great practice. Let's get to bed. I want us to have a good start tomorrow."

Rigel walked from the room, going to the only bed with Slytherin hangings, and sinking into a blissful sleep, knowing that they would be able to protect themselves when that time came.

Kaze heard about the plan from some hufflepuffle and ravenclaw talking. She had her wand. She never accutually tried to see if she could still produce spells if she was a ghost so of course she just tried a simple spell. "Lumos." Then hwe wand produced a bright light. "Nox." Kaze felt like jumping up and down in joy.

She went as fast as she could to the room of requirement and found them praticing. "You weren't thinking of leaving me out were you? I can't die twice can I?" She uttered a laugh.

"Sorry to break it to you, but some of us need sleep," said Rigel, tiredly, feeling the cold hand on his shoulder, "Even if some of us don't ."

He rolled over on his side, thinking back to the dream filled with cloaked men, flashes of light, and Alyssa standing nearby, her own wand raised toward the oncoming attack. "Kaze, have you ever thought that ghosts can still be hurt by Dark spells. No use having you fight, but keep an eye on the Headmistress."

Kaze walked away. "Keep an eye on the Headmisstress? Ghost can get hurt too." She mocked him from the corridor. "Yeah so can livving students dumba$$." She floated through the rooms muttering to herself. Then she accidentally walked into the Headmisstress' office and saw a man who was wearing a cloak. Kaze turned completely transparent and watched quietly.

"You know what'll happen now don't you Jeinerva?" said the cloaked man. He had a very deep voice and was tall.

"I know and I stand by my answer!" She yelled back at him.

"Oh well. I guess that we will have to get it ourselves tomarrow night." The man's cloaked arm flung open and there was a green light. "That's too bad."

He dissappeared in a puff of smoke.

She went quickly to her side and looked into her lifless eyes. "OH NO!" Kaze ran through every teachers office who were completely dumbfounded to find their Headmisstress dead. Then she went immedatly to her friends in the room of requirment and awoke them all and recounted her story.

"The Headmistress dead?" Rigel said, stunned, sitting up. "Everyone back to the training room. Time to practice more advanced spells. We won't be able to battle someone using Killing Curses with only Disarming and Shield spells. We're going to practicing Stunning and Slowing. Remember, the incantations. Stupefy and Impedimenta. That should be good enough for now. If there is an attack within the next 24 hours, I want us to be ready, and only Disarming will do no good."

"The Headmistress died?! That's... just plain outrageous!" Rae shouted. Jeinerva couldn't be dead. There were too many murders at Hogwarts now. Sooner or later, her parents would transfer her to Beaubaxton! Rae shuddered. "You're probably right, we should practice more then just that though, Conjunctivitis might be useful, or maybe Locomotor Mortis. We should also use the Body Bind spell too, Petrificus Totalus." Rae commented, in deep thought. There were so many spells they had to practice, some she didn't even know, since they were in a one of her handbooks for 6th years. Rae looked at Rigel for approval, he seemed like the leader, or maybe it was Alyssa, really right then, it didn't matter.

"She is probably right," Rigel said, "But Conjunctivitis and Petrificus Totalus won't help us that much. Locomotor Mortis, is only a leg-locker. It won't help. We should focus on those that will do the most damage, or at least make them unable to attack us. Impedimenta and Stupefy will do for now..

"Rae, though," Rigel said, "Some of these spells may be stronger than you can handle. But, for my honesty, I think I'll let you try. If you don't master these spells, I think you should stay behind when we fight."

"okay, sure," Rae said simply. She agreed with Rigel, she was only a second year, he was right, there might be some spells that she couldn't handle. She would probably help tend to the wounded or help Madam Celentine (I think that's the name, not sure) gather the bodies for healing. But she would concentrate on mastering the spells anyways, it would help if she wanted to become an Auror. She picked up her wand, and shouted "Impedimenta!" and aimed her wand at her partner, Angues, as it hit him squarely in the chest.

Rigel laughed as Angus was getting up slowly. "That was a very quick mastery. Wow, Rae. You may just be ready." He waved his wand, freeing Angus from the spell and went back to helping all the other groups. As a fifth year, he had already covered these in his Defense Against the Dark Arts class, but the rest of them hadn't reached his level. He was a natural at Defense.

"That's good, everyone. Slowing Spells are easier than Stunning ones, but I would've thought that you were fully ready for them, so let's get ready. Remember the incantation, point your wand at your partner," he said, as they followed command, "and... Stupefy!"

Rae nodded in thanks at the praise. "Thanks, Rigel." Rae looked around at the other groups stupefying each other. She let Angus stupefy her first, since she had used the slowing spell on him first. Rae braced herself for the blow of the Stunning Spell. She had never been Stunned before, so she prepared for the worst, but she was probably overreacting. It was just getting frozen basically, right?
