Hogwarts RP: Redo! STARTED--ACCEPTING~New classes added!

"We swear we thought Locksley was going to curse us. He even drew his wand and pointed it straight at us!"

"Is this true?" Jenievra coldly looked at Locksley. Locksley could only nod mutely. "As for you," she turned to Rigel. "You were sneaking down to get more potions supplies, weren't you?" she said, her eyes narrowing imperceptibly.

[Felix Culpa]

"No," Rigel said, coldly, "As you can tell, I'm in my pajamas. I was in bed in my dormitory, and I must've been sleepwalking."

 

This is getting annoying, Rigel thought, Really, really annoying.

 

"May I go to bed, Professor?" Rigel asked.

Kaze stood there nobody able to see her. She knew she would step if it did come to them getting expelled.

"There is no way they can get expelled!" She whispered to herself. She felt like just walking in and showing that they were innocent but she knew she couldn't do that.

Sleepwalking? Really? Gosh he's stupid. She thought listening to Rigel poor excuse.

Rigel turned, leaving the office, the Prefect in complete disbelief. "Ugh, Kaze, your body is showing on the other side of the wall. Sorry to warn you. You really shouldn't eavesdrop on people, especially a person like Professor Jenrieta. By the way, Kaze, I would like to talk to you later. Come down to Slytherin Common Room."

 

Rigel thought to himself, This is agitating. Especially that look Professor Snape gave him from his portrait, though Professor Black, his great-great grandfather simply smirked.

Alyssa stared coldly after Rigel. He knew he wasn't sleepwalking. She wasn't one to tattle, though.

"We swear, professor, HE'S been the one attacking students!" she blurted out suddenly. she immediately shushed herself.

Jenievra immediately turned to her after dismissing Rigel with a curt nod, but blissfully unaware of Kaze. "YOu say what?" she said in disbelief. "A hogwarts TEACHER? attackign Hogwarts students? You have gone too far!" she said, wagging a finger reproachfully.

Kaze looked out at Rigel.

Talk? What would "he" want to talk about?

She thought about it a moment and thought again Well, I guess I have nothing to lose.

She shrugged and turned completely transparent and walked into the headmaster's room, to comtinuing listening to the conversation.

Jenievra stared at her.

She turned to Zach. "Is this what you think as well?" she demanded.

Zach just nodded.

Alyssa stared at her, wondering what she was going to do. She brought Locksley next to them.

"Locksley." she barked. "Are you the attacker?"

"No." he said in a strangled voice.

"There you have it."

"WAIT!" Alyssa said. "Do you know who the attacker is?" she asked.

Locksley nodded.

Kaze almost screamed! HE KNOWS THE ATTACKER?!!?! With that vetiserum he can't lie about it! Soon the attacker will be sent to azkaban and will rot in prison for the rest of his disgusting life! She wanted to just yell at Locksley until he told her the attackers name.

Kaze was filled with excitment and anticipation, she couldn't believe they would finally find out the attacker.

Alyssa waited for the answer.

As did Jenievra.

"Who is the attacker, Allen?" Jenievra practically screamed.

Locksley took a shuddering breath. "L-l-" he stuttered, seemingly reluctant to say.

"Tell us or you'll go to Azkaban as well!" Jenievra said.

"defense..." locksley stammered out as he slumped over, apparently unconcsious.

Jenievra made a disparaging noise. "The veritaserum does that to someone who tries with their hardest effort to lie. We don't know anything. Now the only thing is to bring in Larkenson." she said.

"larkenson?" Alyssa reeled in surprise. "Why him?"

"Didn't you hear him? He said it started with an L and then he said defense. Sounds a lot like Larkenson to me."

Rigel leaned on the wall, murmured, "Pride", to the seemingly blank wall, and it opened revealing a large, green-lit room, with a large fireplace, which now burned as ashes, a house elf scurrying along, arms full of trash before making them disappear using a nonverbal spell.

 

"Excuse me," Rigel said, somewhat kindly, to the house elf, who simply stared at him. "But I've got a question to ask you, and I would care if you could answer it truthfully."

 

The elf simply stood, looking at Rigel blankly, like someone had used a Memory Charm on him. "Y-yes?"

 

"Thank you. So, have the house elves heard about these attacks on students?" Rigel asked, looking as curious as possible. He wanted as much information as possible on the attacks before he looked for the attacker, because, though it was soon October, attacks would most likely soon become more anon to each other.

 

"H-heard about the a-attacks?" the elf asked, nervously. It's head started to bob and its eyes water. "Yes! Yes sir! It is most dangerous for the house elves as well! We have already lost one of us to this mysterious attacker, but no one knows what is doing it!"

 

Rigel cursed in his mind, "So, you don't know who is doing these attacks?"

 

"N-no sir," the elf bowed, Disapparating.

 

Rigel looked where the house elf was, glancing to the burning embers, the glowing orange of them creating an eerie effect over the damp Slytherin common room. He sat back in an arm chair, pointing his wand at the fire pit, wood appearing there to burn brightly, a chill that normally hung over the Slytherin common room was still there, though Rigel barely noticed. His mind was elsewhere, trying to figure out how someone could attack to Petrify and to kill.

 

Rigel bounced up onto the floor. "A basilisk!" He slumped back down onto the chair. "No, there can't have been another basilisk in Hogwarts. Not after last time. And I don't think Locksley could possibly be able to tell them. It is aggravating, now."

 

Rigel rolled on his heels as he paced. "Someone or something is out to get house elves and students, yet I don't know who has been attacked, but there was that 4th Year Slytherin who was attacked, so I doubt it is a repeat of the Heir incident."

IC:Kaze heard her say Larkenson and thought He could have been trying to say anything. I don't suppose it was Larkenson but anyway I guess I'll go see Rigel now.

She floated from the headmaster's office and through the grand staircase until he entered the doungens and found a door and she walked into. She had never seen the Slytherin commonroom before and she noticed that it was a slightly greenish color since it was under the lake. "How disgusting." She said walking up to Rigel. "And I don't mean the common room."

She said looking straight at Rigel. "Now what did you want?"

OOC: yes, but it is very late at night. They wouldn't know that Rigel was only just getting back.

 

"Well, Kaze," Rigel said, looking apprehensively toward the ghost, "I was wondering what you could tell me about you, as a living person, though if you don't want to talk about it."

 

Rigel strolled to an arm chair and sat down, staring at the flames instead of the cold white ghost.

Alyssa stared at Locksley then at Jenievra, uncomprehending. Larkenson? how could it be? I was hardly expecting him! the questions ran through her brain. She couldn't wait to tell Angus.

"Nebuchadnezzar!" Jenievra called. The goblin reappeared.

"Go to Larkenson and say that Jenievra requests an audience with him. Don't tell him what about." she warned.

The wizened goblin nodded once and with a crack disapparated.

"The only reason why she works for me is that she's too old to do her own work and needs to depend on another wizard. There isn't another goblin like that in the world." Jenievra informed Zach and Alyssa.

She sat down in one of the chairs in the commonroom and thought for a moment before she finally said.

"No, its okay." She too was staring into the pit of the warming fire with an expressionless look on her face trying not to think about her own death.

"Your question. It is very vauge and I don't understand what you want to know so if you would please specify what it is you would wish to talk about."

Seconds later the goblin returned with Larkenson at her side.

"Oh hello, Jenievra. What owes me this pleasure?" he sat down amiably at the seat next to Alyssa. Alyssa scooted over so she wouldn't be near him.

Jenievra waved her wand and ropes surrounded him.

Larkenson's jaw dropped and face darkened. "Why?" he asked, a simple but very angry question.

"Just in case." replied Jenievra. "Let's get on with it!"

Rigel sat in his dormitory, staring at the ceiling, trying to piece together what little information on the killer he had, to make at least a vague arrow pointing towards who it was. If it was meant to be obvious, the killer wouldn't be doing this.

 

He (or she) is trying to instill fear, Rigel thought to himself, suddenly, No one knows who the killer is, so they will stop trusting, and soon, the houses will start to fall apart. That's exactly what someone would want. Hogwarts would be in open rebellion if he came out...

Jenievra motioned for the goblin to slip some veritaserum into his mouth. He took it but was glowering around at all of them.

Interesting, said Alyssa. He doesn't force it away like Locksley did. I wonder if he doesn't know something? Or maybe it's a ruse, to make Jenievra go easy on him or to make itlook like he's innocent.

"Are you the attacker that's been petrifying the students?" Jenievra asked sharply, regaining her usual personality that she went straight to the point.

OOC: suspense! After the next IC post I'll continue. Gtg 4 now.

Rigel got up, pulling a small black bottle out of his trunk, holding it up to his wandlight, and staring at the label.

 

"'Draught of Living Death'" Rigel read quietly, stowing the potion in a small rack, pulling out a slightly larger clear bottle, with something that looked like blood swirling around in it. "'Polyjuice Potion: Alyssa Lynne'. Definitely wrong. Ah! Here we go 'Felix Felicis'."

 

Rigel stared at the moderately sized potion, thinking of how much secret work he had to do to brew this last year, and the little golden potion jumped around. "I'd better save that for a later night, though. Don't want to waste something that valuable."

Larkenson looked strangled but then shook his head no.

Jenievra rolled her eyes to the sky. "then who the HELL IS?" she said, casting her arms to the sky.

Larkenson looked sheepishly at them. "Grubbly plank."

"urghh..." said Jenievra. "Nebuchadnezzar, you know what to do." she said tot he old goblin. The goblin disappeared then reappeared instantly with Grubbly plank.

"Know why you're here?" Jenievra said and rolled her eyes again.

Alyssa looked astonished. Why him? She eyed him with distaste, not paying attention to the other two professors nearby. He was the one who killed Kaze, who petrified Blues, who petrified Britney!

IC: Kaze looked over at GrubbyPlank. I was right! It was GrubbyPlank! He deserves the worst of all the dementors.

She thought cruley. Kaze appeared behind Jenievra and Grubby plank then completely freak out at the sight of a ghost.

"Wh-who is t-that?" asked Jenievra, turning an unhealthy shade of white.

"that's Kaze." replied Alyssa reluctantly. "She was killed then was turned into a ghost."

"Very well." Jenievra pressed her lips in a tight line. "I'll ask you more questions about her later. Sorry about Kaze." she said stiffly. "I'll take care of the Care of Magical Creatures teacher first."

Alyssa just sat at the table, inching farther and farther away from the teacher.

"Grubbly plank." said Jenievra coldly. "I will ask you why, even without giving you veritaserum, why did you do this?"

Rigel closed the lid of his trunk and with a small jump, he landed comfortably on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. His eye was drawn to a small engraving on the rails on his four-poster. LE

 

Rigel turned over, not wanting to contemplate any more than sleep. However, his dreams were less than pleasant. A room, full of mirrors, covered in writing. In each, he saw one of the people he suspected to be in on the crime of the petrifications and deaths. He saw above him, Locksley, to his right, himself. And that jarred him.

 

I'm definitely not the killer, Rigel thought, the only reflections left were also shocking. Alyssa and Zach seem to know a lot about these killings, and Grubbly-Plank was very close to the scene of the next possible attack...

 

4 suspects in mind, his dream drifted from this room, suddenly back into the room he was just standing in, Headmasters Snape and Black staring at him, sneering as if he had wronged them, personally.

OoC: I'm utterly lost, but word to the wise, I'm leaving my character to dargon/Alyssa On days in which I won't be able to RP, which there could be quite a few of in the near future.

IC: Grubbly plank stared at her simply. "To serve my master."

With a flash of light he was gone. Alyssa stared at the remaining smoke. "What dramaticism." she said sarcastically. "Now what are we going to do?"

Jenievra pulled a slightly smoking piece of paper from the ground and dusted it off and then read it. her eyes widened and she gulped and said, "You two...get out...you're dismissed." she made a feeble shooing motion with her hands but then ran back up to her living quarters.

Alyssa walked out with Zach. "He ran away!" she said angrily.

She looked at the hallway and saw Angus. "Angus!" she said. She recounted the past events to him breathlessly.

"...and so the murderous coward disapparated, he killed Kaze, petrified Britney and Blues!" she said.

OOC: You do know that Grubbly Plank is a woman, and Apparating is impossible within the school grounds, unless the headmaster or headmistress lifts the spell?

 

Rigel started awake, looking around to find all the other beds around him empty. He walked up to the Great Hall alone, to find a Daily Prophet owl carrying the paper. I wonder what's been going on.... He slipped a Knut into the owl's leather bag, staring up and down the table, only to find that most Slytherins were elsewhere, and with a jolt, he remembered that their first match against Ravenclaw was today, and he was one of the best chasers on the Slytherin team. He threw the paper down, a picture of Professor Grubbly-Plank with a murderous gaze in her eye and the headline read:

Wanted for questioning on the attacks of the students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry..
