Alyssa smiled at the reappearance of her new friend. A distant bell sounded through her head only to have her realize that she wasn't imagining it; it was time for her to go to DADA. "Guys, I have to go to DADA now." she said. "Kaze, it's good to have you back, even as a ghost." she smiled at the ghostly form of Kaze again, and shouldered her bookbag. "i'm still with you for lunch!" she called to ANgus.

Angus smiled brightly, one lesson until lunch time, how would he kill time? He had the food, he had the flowers, he had the spot all picked out, all that was missing was the girl, and Alyssa would be there at lunch time, everything was perfect. He decided he wouldn't walk with Alyssa to class, instead he waved his goodbye to her. and decided he'd go to the library, do his homework now so he could spend the evening with Alyssa. He started to walk to the library. He was always told that everything seemed more amazing when you were in love. He could see what that meant. The intricate details of the castle revealed them selves to Angus in a way that he'd never seen in the four years that had come before for him. He marveled at the things about Hogwarts that usually get overshadowed by the magic, like the fact that this was infact a beautiful castle in it's own rights, magic or not.

OoC: 2 lessons till lunch time :-|

 

IC: Alyssa smiled and felt really giddy as she walked to DADA. Larkenson had on the board notes on the Inferi. She wanted to get ahead of the class so she went ahead and copied them down using her quill on a fresh sheet of parchment. All the while, she was thinking of Angus and her lunch date, and how happy she was to see Kaze back. She finished copying the notes and sat back to think more clearly, her thoughts always drifting back to Angus no mater how much she tried to control them.

OoC: you said two hours, one was potions. *is confused* Maybe if I had a little more sleep this'd make sense to me, I'm a bit of an idiot right now.

 

IC: Angus reached the library and wound his way through the seemingly endless magical litterature, he passed the restricted section, and ended up in his favorite corner of the library, it was quiet, seculuded, he began to work on his potions work, identifying the ingrediants of an antidote to veritiserum, He realised it was a simple question, simply adding a bezor to the serum it's self, the question was easy, but he was simply too day-dreamy to write. every time he started to write Alyssa would enter his mind, infact, he'd accidentally written her name twice. She was inside his head badly.

IC: She continued to copy down notes as the rest of the class filed inside the room. She smiled at each of them, hoping to see Zach Jason or Rae, but none showed up.

"Today," Larkenson started his lesson. "We will be learning about inferi. Before I start, I would like to teach you two new spells. One, is the bandage conjuration." Alyssa knew how to do that already. "Say, Ferula and jab your wand at the subject. Try it at the leg of your desks."

Alyssa nodded and pulled out her hawthorn wand and said, "Ferula!" bandages were wrapped around the table leg.

"Good. Now, as a review, cut through the bandages. I hope you remember the incantation."

Alyssa did. "Diffindo!" she said quietly. The bandages were severed.

Angus finally finished the question It took far more effort then it should have, the way he handled that question was very un-Ravenclaw-ish, he really was shaken up. He wondered what Alyssa was doung in DADA right now, He'd probably see her straight after this lesson. Angus had Defence Against the Dark Arts next himself. His mind was wandering, Alyssa, class, lunch, Alyssa, Hogsmead, Alyssa, Alyssa, homework, Alyssa. He just couldn't get the girl out of his head, then again, why would he want to? He thought she was perfect.

OoC: 2 classes. u finish free period, I finish DADA, then we go on to thenext period. Ihave potions next, you have DADA next. Then lunch.

 

IC: Alyssa couldn't keep Angus out of her head. She wondered how he was doing in his free period. She realized she needed to ask him out for the next hogsmead village visit they went to. She would do that during their lunch. She realized she was zoning out. She looked at Larkenson. "Now we will learn the fixing a broken bone spell. It is, Episkey!" He demonstrated with a broken old bone in front of him. "you try!" he said. "There are bones in your desk."

Alyssa gingerly lifted the broken bone out of the desk, not even trying to stop thoughts of perfect Angus from infiltrating her head, and said, "Episkey!" dreamily. It didn't work. She frowned, and said, "Episkey!" again. She was still distracted.

"Homework, Practice!" chimed Larkenson. "You still get a E for today, for the spells you performed yesterday."

The clock wore slowly on, the period was soon to come to a close, Angus grabbed up his gear so he could walk to DADA early, and spend a short amount of time with Alyssa, even a few moments was worth grasping for, he wound his way out of the library not noticing the same beautiful features he did when he came in, partially because he was day-dreaming, partially because his unwavering focus was set firmly on Alyssa.

What was he going to say at lunch? what Would they do? This was his first real 'date' since third year, and this was with the most beautiful, charming, smart, charasmatic girl he'd ever met.

Alyssa saw Angus as she left class. "Hi Angus!" she said rushing into his arms. He was PERFECT! she thought. "You have DADA next right? They talk about Inferi, but that's for our class, not sure about you..." she smiled at him. "I have potions next." She said. She looked around for Rae. "Have you seen Rae? And I cannot WAIT for our lunch date, it's gonna be awesome!" She gushed.

She turned around to look for Rae. Hmm...guess she doesn't have potions next...

Angus just beemed, Alyssa really did like him a lot, he had his doubts about how much at first, but wow. This really was somthing. Angus hugged Alyssa tightly.

"I think we're working on conjuring full-bodied patronuses, you'll probably start the basics later this year." He paused. "I wonder what my patronus will be."

"She probably doesn't care too much at all about that" he thought.

"I can't wait 'till lunch either Alyssa, I've got a spot all picked out."

Angus sighed as the rest of his DADA class started to gather, he'd have to wait untill lunch to spend anymore time with Alyssa. he gave her another quick hug.

"See ya later Alyssa!"

"Awesome, but you have gotta tell me what patronus you have!" she said excitedly. "My mum's got a cat, and she says that sometimes the patronuses are hereditary, but I can't wait to hear yours. I gotta go to potions now, see you at lunch!" she gushed excitedly and skipped to potions class, feeling overly giddy and happy. Wow, he really had that effect on me, she though. She sat down in potions and watched as the instructions for the "Swelling Solution". She had read Harry Potter and remembered how Harry had set a no heat, wet start firework into another cauldron of it and everyone's limbs exploded. She resolved to doing that in a Gryffindor's cauldron so it would look like a Slytherin had done it. She started brewing it, adding shrivelfig, puffapod, and knotgrass. She stirred three times clockwise.

"Good morning students." Professor Larkenson smiled. "You will be learning and absolutely invaluable skill, today, you will learn how to conjure a full-bodied Patronus charm!"

Angus was terribly excited, he didn't believe that Patronuses were hereditary.

"Now everyone, you know the basics, now there's nothing that needs to be done differently, but today, I'll be expecting you to generate results of a higher quality, allow me to demonstrate! Expecto Patronum!

The class laughed as what looked like a shimmering white pecock burst from Larkenson's wand, Angus didn't laugh at all. He found it to be a strange, but interesting patronus.

"Students, enough laughter, try it for yourselves."

Angus began to concentrait on his usual memory, when he wasn't sorted into Slyverin like the rest of his family, but that was quickly surpassed by Alyssa telling him that she felt the same way for him as he did for her. During this period od concentraition many silver orbs of light filled the room, basic patronuses from the other students.

Alyssa added the ingredients that went in the middle of the process of making the Swelling Solution. She added Essence of Asphodel and then belladonna, then some nettle and mallow. She stirred counterclockwise five times then let it simmer for a few minutes. Her thoughts wandered back to Angus and she wondered how he was doing in conjuring a patronus, she was really really curious to see what patronus he had. As the students added the final ingredients, she threw a wet start firework into another Gryffindor's cauldron and BOOM! She ducked down behind her cauldron as a blast of the finished Swelling Solution erupted out and hit her, but mostly the Slytherins standing behind and in front of her. Alyssa stood and said in a hurt voice, "Terrence Higgs, why would you do something like that?!"

Angus' dwelling on that night in the great hall filled him with more joy then could be believed, he was overcome, he took a moment to ready himself, try to avoid getting lost in the memory. it was difficult, the photographic imprint on his mind was as clear as day.

"Expecto Patronum!" Angus gave the incantation as a happy shout and there it was, a shimering silver-white Bull Elephant, only a cub, not too much larger then a human, it's tusks though, its tusks looked almost full-sized, disproportional to the rest of it's body. Not to the point of it looking rediculous, just slightly strange.

"McNalery's done it!" the teacher shouted happily and the remainder of the class turned thier heads.

Alyssa watched as the kids' random body parts swelled up to twenty times their normal size. Slytherins lumbered around with huge arms, chins, and thighs. The one Gryffindor who was standing in front of the cauldron had ducked just in time, so she had a really, really long and heavy hair strant sinking down from her ponytail. There were shrieks and yells of outrage as Locksley tried to calm everyone down.

"IMMOBULUS!" he shouted in exasperation and everyone froze. "WHEN I UNFREEZE YOU YOU WILL COME UP AND GET YOUR DEFLATING DROUGHT!" He yelled. He then cast the countercharm and the students who were hit (mostly Slytherins) filed up to get their dose. She smiled. A job well done, even if there were a few Gryffindor casualties.

"Terrence Higgs! I will see YOU after class!" he said glowering.

Alyssa decided to bottle the potion for future prank use. She put the bottle into her overflowing prank kit. She just had a refill of skiving snackboxes from the Weaselies, who were now about 49 years old.

OoC: You do ofcourse remember that one of the Weasleys was killed in Deathly Hallows right?

 

IC: The lesson wore on, and Angus continued to practice controling his Patronus, he smiled and wondered.

"Could love be this powerful? I mean my first attempt at conjuring a full-bodied Patronus and there it is! Alyssa's definately good for me!" he though to himself, He was now not the only one to summon a Patronus, a petite little hufflepuff girl Chantelle Valarie had also achived a much smaller patronus, a mouse. Elephants were deathly afraid of mice, it was a surprising thing. The elephant reared at sight of the mouse and Angus laughed, but in the back of the mind he realised how such little things can have bearings on things that are much bigger.

The lesson was nearly over, it wouldn't be long now.

"Homework." Said the professor, satisfied that a number of students had achived his goals for the lesson. '"omework will be to research the kinds of memories suitable for use when conjuring a Patronus Charm."

IC: Alyssa finished her swelling solution, got marks for it, (an E because she was distracted and she forgot to add the finishing touch, Brass Scales.) and the bell rang. She skipped outside and waited for Angus at the front door to the castle. She couldn't wait to have lunch with him by the lake, the lake was beautiful and Angus was perfect. In wait she finished her, "Swelling Solution and Deflating Draught" essay and packed it up.

Angus was full of nervous energy, as the bell rang he quickly left the room, he rushed off to the lake, basket of fruit and flowers still in hand, he moved to that familiar spot by the lake and began to set everything up as it was before, he unfolded the blanket and began to scatter the flowers around it, the lake was beautiful right now, the sun was shing down on the water causing it to shimmer breath-takingly the perfect backdrop. Angus was so nervous.

"Have I overdone it here? Will she think I'm comming on too strong? Will she like the flowers?"

Alyssa saw Angus dash off to the lake, so she ran after him. She ran over to where he was setting up and looked at it. "WOW!" she said, amazed at the beauty of the lake, and amazed at how much effort Angus put into it. "THank you so much, Angus! It really means soo much to me!" she gushed and hugged him tightly. "I really am enjoying it!" She exclaimed as she looked at the heaps of food and the flowers. "Avis! Orchideous!" she said and little birds and flowers erupted onto the picnic blanket and completed the setting.

"I must be dreaming.." Angus thought, this was too good to be true. He couldn't belive it could be so perfect, he sat down and sighed.

"I'm so glad it means this much to you, you deserve it, Alyssa, you're a wonderful girl." Angus was so love struck, he looked up at Alyssa, how could it have taken him this long, to notice her obvious beauty. She was breathtaking, and looking at the magically created flowers and birds, he doubted that anything could be better then this. His eyes were gleaming, his mind filled with fantasy. Would it always be like this? Would it last? Somthing in Angus' mind told him it would.

Alyssa smiled at him with teeth and then sat down. "Let's eat some of this wonderful food you packed.

Something behind them meowed. Alyssa turned around to see Ginger and the two skrewts she now took.

"Oh that's right! I forgot to feed them!" Alyssa laughed nervously and dug in her bag for pumpkin and cat treats and food. She gave the two skrewts the pumpkin and some cat food and cat treats. She ate a bit of the fruit that Angus packed. "this is really good. You should try the watermelon!" she giggled and ate some more. This was perfect.

"Thank professor Weed for the food." He reached for some watermellon, he tried a little bit, it was excellent then it dawned on him, there was nothing officially going on between Alyssa and himself, he turned to her with a wide smile on his face,.

"Alyssa, we both really like eachother right? Well, why don't we make it official? - " His accent was playing up again. "Will you maybe -" He paused, he wasn't sure why he was so nervous he knew she liked him. "Will you be my girlfriend?" he choked out, hoping it was intelligable through his accent. He didn't realise it but he was staring at her, captivated by her beauty. The way he felt about her, you'd think he was captivated by Veela charm, and under the effects of Amoretentia.

"Of course, I thought we were already!" she laughed. She went over to kiss him on the cheek. "I'm glad you made it official, I really wasn't sure what we would call ourselves." she giggled nervously and took a bite out of another piece of watermelon. "Engorgio!" She brandished her wand at a flower and handed the overlarge Iris to Angus, giggling girlishly. It was unlike her.

Had she actually just kissed him on the cheek? He was almost in shock, that was amazing, he was blushing so brightly now he probably looked almost sunburnt.

Angus looked at the flower it was beautiful, and the oversized flower produced a much stronger smell.

"It's lovely, absolutely lovely but nowhere near as lovely as you are!" he said hugging her tightly, it really was offical now. He stared into her eyes, they were beautiful, once again he felt himself getting lost, but this time, he let it happen.

"So..." this came a good minute later. "Do you still wanna hear about my patronus?"

Kaze heard Alyssa say something about a lunch date with Angus and couldn't help but take a look. She floated in the green water of the lake hidden from their view. Kaze watched them give eachother flowers and smiled. "Well, well, well. It seems some people can make the best of things even at the worst of times." She said quietly so they couldn't hear her. Kaze just couldn't resist exploring the lake since she couldn't drown or get killed by any creatures hidden in their. SHe flew deeper and deeper in the water she saw the giant squid but no merpeople yet so she continued into the greenish water of the lake.
