naomi had a sympathetic look on her face... "aww you poor thing.. I'm really sorry to hear about that.. well i can understand about not having many friends.. i'm pretty much a walking disaster.. if something can go wrong it will.. and i'm the prime example for it.. like this morning.. i lost my deck.. was almost late to the assembly.. tripped on my way into the assembly.. i blurt things out without thinking about them.. yeah.. so most people thought i was to much of a loser to be friends with." naomi extends her hand out.. "My name is Naomi Fluegel. Wanna be friends?"

She looks up at Naomi "Oh.. it's you, so little loser, is there something you want or are you just gonna stand there saying trivial stuff with that giant freaky grin on your face, if you are, then I have no buisness with you, so get out of my sight and leave me alone, if you have any idea what's good for you I sugest you try to refain from talking to me, or you'll regret it, so go on, away with you, get out of my sight, shoo, shoo!" she flaps her wrists to make her usual 'go away' shooing motion. She gives Naomi a look that says: I mean it!

Aryana couldn't have walked in at the wrong time; seeing Rio, she was tempted to turn and leave, but she didn't; after all, she was just a girl, wasn't she? Holding herself in a smart posture, Aryana went to buy herself a snack before she took a seat directly opposite Rio on the same table, and started to eat, knowing she was going to get taunted by Rio. Not that it would matter; that duel between her and the little brat would come eventually, and better early than late.

Rio looks away and mumbles to herself "Oh great... what's that doing here... oh well... let's see" She pauses and looks back "Hey, i was here first, go and find someone else to torment before I throw up at the thought of you being in the same room as me, Aryanus, or have you come to finaly admit that I'm far better than you, especialy after you lost to that little wimp Naomi a while back, you're not even worthy of me calling you my rival anymore, go find another statue to poo on" she turns away and moves to another table, and continues eating.

Aryana followed hotly, her cheeks flushing, her footsteps echoing even louder than usual. "I know you saw it, Opalmoon," she said, giving no indication as to how she knew Rio's surname. "And I'm not here to torment, if you think you're so good, then I challenge right here, in person, to a duel." Usually she would not have said such a thing, but Rio's gloating was truly starting to get on her nerves; in fact, Aryana knew perfectly well as to why she had lost, and she just had a feeling Rio's deck would not function in the same way as Naomi's deck. And anyway, Rio hadn't seen her deck at its strongest.

"heh" Rio snears as she realises she's got on Aryana's nerves Score! that's got here going, heh, let's see what next she pauses for thought and then returns to speaking "We have no need to duel here, i'm sure we'll duel in the tornament coming up won't we... oh... wait, you probably won't even make it past the first round to meet me in the finals won't you, heh" she gives an evil chuckle, before finishing off her melon, slinging her bag over her back and leaving, before Aryana can say another word in responce.

It was Aryana's turn to smile. She followed Rio and said, "Interesting response you gave me back there, Opalmoon; surely, if you think you're better than me, you would haven't needed to wait for tomorrow - you would have duelled me straight away. After all, if I'm so bad in your eyes, you would predict you'd win quite quickly, would you not?" She paused, her smile expanding; she knew she was about to touch a nerve. "Or are you actually afraid of me?"

Rio turns around, smiling "nice come back, perhaps I'm miss judging you, or maybe you should just think about becoming a P.I, you've got quite the deductive ability there, but, I must admit, i'm not scared of you, why would I be? The only reason I can wait to defeat you is because right now, you're just not worth my time, if you could maybe prove you're good enough to chalenge me, maybe I'll actualy give you a game, but it's not looking likely with your ametur dueling ability, now, if you don't mind, I have buisness to take care of" she turns around and 'takes off' without another word.

"You know Opalmoon," said Aryana, not caring whether or not Rio could hear her. "One duel doesn't show abilities straight away. If, perchance, you had duelled your first duel and lost, you would think your abilities were undermined, no?" As she said this, a faint groaning coming from her deck could be heard, like her Nightmare Carcasses were actually under the ground, eager to pull someone into the world of the dead.

"Whatever" she raises her hand so her arm looked like an 'L' shape. "I don't need to waste my time talking to little lowlifes hat think they're all that because they're from rich backgrounds, well, I've got one thing to say to you, I may not be rich, but at last I'm not a stuck up priss like you!" She had said all that, without tuning around and so when she finished, she just continued walking, again without another word, she had her mouth closed, but her teeth were gritted, just slightly, but it seems her respect for Aryana as her rival has gone up, just a little

"Too bad, I can see a lost clause when it's directly in my face," Aryana called after her, before she turned on her heel and parted in the opposite direction. She ignored any other reaction Rio gave, and wished that the rest of the day would hurry up. She was yet to have her second match against Naomi .... If that Opalmoon brat watches me win, she'll know I'm no amateur duellist - how dare she say that, if only she knew of my inheritance, she wouldn't be so sure of herself. Hmpfh!

naomi runs after aryana... she gets a few feet behind aryana and trips.. naomi lets out an exasperated sigh as she lies face down in the ground... she gets up slowly.. "aryana, whats up with you and rio? its only day one... and you two hate each other... whats up with that?" she scratches the back of her head... 'sorry about beating you earlier... i didn't mean for rio to use that as an excuse to talk down to you.. we can duel again in front of her and i can lose... i can fake me trying really hard so you can win..."

Aryana stopped in front of Naomi and watched her get up. "No need, she's gone anyway." She looked down at the grey duel disk, and then back up at Naomi. "Well, if you're willing for round two, I'm not one to say no ... practice makes perfect, does it not?" She put one hand on her hip, and waited for Naomi's response. She was prepared to move to the duelling fields on the moment that Naomi answered with a 'yes' ... if she did, that is.

"Of course, now come on," insisted Aryana as she dashed off to the duel fields again. Once again, she picked a position far away from the door, and she turned on her heel, waiting impatiently for Naomi to catch up; her burning determination to prove she was no loser, especially in Rio's face, was driving her into an unnatural duelling fury; she swiftly shuffled and drew, and asked Naomi, "Mind if I go first this time?"

Aryana drew, and glanced down at her hand. Perfect... "I play Nightmare Carcass Epitath, and next I set three cards. Now I'll end my turn there." She waited for Naomi's next move, and had a feeling she was in a good position. I'll beat you this time, foolish girl ... and then, the real fun will begin. You may be good, but you don't know how to face this society.

This monster is also treated as an Insect-type monster. If there is a face-up Zombie-type monster on the field, this card gains the following effect(s) based on the number of Zombie-type monsters on the field:

-1+: this card gains 500 ATK

-2+: once per turn, you may add 1 monster with "Nightmare Carcass" in its name with 1500 ATK or less from your Deck to your hand. The monster can not be played this turn.

"huh..." naomi thinks to herself.. "this is just a game.. but these other students take this oh so seriously... I can understand a tournament.. but i can't understand why it matters so much for some friendly duels.." She smiles "ok.. my turn!" she picks up her 5 cards and draws a 6th.. i will play D.D. Survivor in attack mode.. with 2 cards face down your turn!"

Aryana drew, and felt a small smile creep onto her face. "I play Nest of the Carcasses, and now I summon Nightmare Carcass Bergrauk, and since I summoned a monster I'll remove the Nightmare Carcass I hold in my hand - Nightmare Carcass Graphyr - to add another Epitath to my hand. And now I reveal a face down, Return of the Carcasses - and with this, I'll bring back the Graphyr I had removed from play. Now that I've done that, let's see .... they all gain 500 Life Points, and since there are two zombie-type monsters on the field, Epitath's second effect can activate, and I'll add a Marthirs to my hand.

"Now let's see ... I'll have Bergrauk attack your D.D. Survivor, and Epitath will directly attack! I end my turn."

"Oh yes I can," Aryana fiercely snapped as she revealed a Solemn Judgement. "It's a sacrifice I'm willing to pay if it's to stop you from gaining an upper hand in this duel!" She spoke with so much ferocity it was almost terrifying; her eyes were burning like her spirit, she was full of determination to beat Naomi, no matter what it took, even if it meant she had to fight with very few Life Points left; not that it was currently looking possible, considering how Naomi would suffer a huge drop if she had nothing to counter.

OOC: OK

"Fine!" spat Aryana as she watched her own monster was destroyed. "Then I'll have Epitath attack, and you loose 500 Life Points." She folded her arms and watched as the gigantic, oversized insect struck the human figure that was D.D. Survivor; she was still fairly confident this duel was hers, even though now it was Aryana who had the lesser amount of Life Points. But then again, comebacks weren't uncommon, and it could happen with anyone.

Aryana - 3000

Naomi - 5500
