Starlight Duel Academy [Not Accepting][PG-13][Started!!!]

Naomi sits watching everyone.. she thinks to herself.. "whats with all the drama.. geez..." she then laughs.. "well everyone.. its nice to meet you all.. and i am very excited to be able to duel you all!" she feels a grumble in her tummy... "oh crap.." she said softly.. "i forgot to eat breakfast cause i was in such a hurry.. hopefully this meeting doesn't last to long.." she gives a slight smile.. "oy... i wonder how bad the rivalry's get here..." she thought to herself "atleast i'm to much of a clutz for anyone to take me serious."

[Naimo]

"Believe me Naomi, if there's one thing I've learnt from going backstage to all those duel arenas - that's after pro duels, by the way - it's that you should learn how to read people as fast as possible," Aryana swiftly said as she sat down by Naomi, still holding her head up. "You won't believe how b*tchy people can be, and the way gossip and insults travel, it makes the speed of light look slow."

"Yeah seriously.. Its kinda stupid in my opinion.." naomi rolls her eyes "you all just met and you can cut the tension with a knife in here.. geez" Naomi looks around.. "does anyone know where i can get a little bite to eat? I thought i was going to be late for this and i forgot to eat..." she rubs her tummy.. "and my tummy isn't to excited about that.." she gives a slight smile.. "why did they get us up at 7 anyway? where are all the teachers and principal duel master man?"

"I don't know where you can find somewhere to eat, Naomi", said Jason. "But maybe after the assembly, they might give you breakfast. But don't count on it", he added. "Let's hope that the staff gets here soon. I want to get to know the teachers so in the event that I have a problem, I can work it out with them", he finished. Then after answering Naomi's question, he smiled and went back to his seat.

"grrrr.... i'm flipping hungry though.." naomi continued to whine.. "but if i leave.. i might miss the meeting..." naomi decides to get her mind off things and pulls out her dueling deck.. she starts looking through them and smiles.. "I lovers this deck! hopefully i can try it out today! that would be nice! then i can have a good excuse to miss breakfast.." she quickly got back on the breakfast subject.. put her deck away and just let out a long sigh and folded her arms.

"Well since the chancellor isn't here, I should probably check my deck to make sure it's ready in the event that there's a duel", said Jason. He took his deck out of his pocket and checked it to make sure everything was in order. "OK, everything is in proper condition and nothing is missing", he declared and put his deck away. "Well, I guess I'll go take a walk around the Duel Field", Jason said. "Waiting for the staff to arrive makes me bored. Besides, it would help me know my way around this place, since I may have to come here often". With that, Jason rose from his seat and went to check out the Duel Field.

Just as everything seemed like nobody would make an appearance Councellor Fudo began walking on to the field everyone awaited in anticipation as Councellor Fudo walked on with a microphone ready to speak

 

Hmm only 10 students this year and 2 students didn't even bother to show up to the first announcement? Well I guess it has only been the 1st day after I'd better get this thing started... "Good Morning students and welcome to your first day at Starlight Academy! Now I am sorry for getting you up all early but I have a few announcements to make. First of all I would like you all to meet our store manager Trylor Matrix!" Yusie announced as a young possibly 10 year old boy made his way onto the stage he was nervous but still grabbed the microphone

 

"Uh-Uh-Uh Hi everybody! umm I hope you all have a good year and uh I would love to be friends!" Trylor said that and walked out of the Duel Field and back into the store.

 

Yusie looked on as he saw Trylor storm off like that and moved his mic back to his mouth as he was going to speak again "If you need some more cards go to the store and buy some and also have a chat to Trylor if you would... Anyways I have another announcement I would like to make." Yusie stopped talking to see the respone his students would make.

[ANBU]

Kenny stands at the edge of the hall yet still able to see most of what was going on as he stood in the shadows basically unseen because of this. Kenny then walks along and then walks out into the light taking a seat a few down from Naomi as he looks up at the stage. "hmm.. a card shop atleast that will help us if we need any more cards" he mutters quietly only just able to be heard as he watches. "hmm.. i'm guessing this anouncement would probably have something to do with tests, either that or some changes to this academy..". Kenny looks over at Naomi, slightly smiling, and then looks back at Councellor Fudo, waiting.

Jason was finishing his tour of the Duel Field when he heard the chancellor speak. Quickly he ran back to his seat as fast as he could. "Oh my god, I can't believe I didn't wait for the chancellor to appear", said Jason under his breath while he was running back. "Next time, I'm staying where I am". He returned back to his seat just in time to hear Trylor finish his speech.

[Naimo]

Aryana said nothing as she sat patiently, wondering when they would duel. She couldn't wait to face off Rio, especially with her deck. She had faith in her monsters (who didn't?), and as she watched Trylor, she had a feeling trying to exploit him was useless. Instead, she merely sat back, her arms folded, and just wished they would hurry up and get to the duelling part. She had no idea where Rio was, but she couldn't wait for that moment when she would triumph over that immature little girl.

naomi looked at the chancellor with excitement! first thing that came out of her mouth "DO WE GET FOOD AFTER THIS!?!?!" she yelled.. then quickly shut up because she realized she said that out loud.. she thought to herself "really? thats your first impression to yusei and the chancellor.." she sunk back into her seat.. and said quietly.. "i just want this to be over now... but with my luck this is going to last a while.." naomi watched the reactions of all the others students to what the chancellor and yusei had to say.

Rio was sitting as far away from the others as she could, and bursts out laughing, both when the little kid comes out, and when Naomi shouts out in fromnt of everyone, her words were "They let a kid like that run the store here!? These guys are cheep" at the time she shouted "HEY! GET SOMEONE TO RUN THE STORE WHO WON'T STEAL ALL THE CARDS BECAUSE THEY ARE SHINY!" when the little kid came up, and her words were "heh, loser girl number 1 strikes again" when Naomi blurted her thoughts

When Jason heard the comment that Naomi made, he just sighed and talked to himself. "Oh boy, that Naomi girl really needs to stop worrying about her stomach", he said. "I didn't eat anything either, but do you see me complaining about it? There's more important things than eating". After his brief conversation, he looked at Chancellor Fudo and Trylor and listened to whatever the chancellor needed to say.

Yusei stopped looking out the door and cleared his throught as he looked back at the audience "Ehum, Sorry for the wait again folks now onto the next Announcement as you all know its the new year at Starlight Academy and I say what better way to kick off the year with a Duel Tournament? Well that is what we will do now in this tournament your Life Points will start out at 6000 well actually every scheduled duel will start with 6000. In this tournament the more you win the better dorm you will be in. There will be 3 rounds where the winner of each duel earns 1000 DP however the loser earns 500 DP aswell. In the final round both students who make it this far will both be in 7 star Dorm and whoever loses will be placed in the 3 star dorm. The Tournament will begin Tomorrow at 10am so you guys can sleep in also you will be given your opponents tomorrow at the start so meet here at 10am then we will begin. Now you can all head off to the Duel Rec Hall where there will be food served for you all if you wish to go there today you may explore the island a bit and challenge students to a duel remember you all start at 6000 Life Points."

Aryana found herself snorting slightly; typical, they just had to make them wait. She looked down at her deck, and then up at the distant figure of Rio; no, she wasn't going to duel her now, she was going to wait. A pleasing thought came into her head; if she did beat that immature little girl, it would mean the world to her. Still basking in this thought, Aryana took a sideways glance at everyone that had turned up, and her eyes were locked mainly on Naomi; such a foolish girl, Aryana wouldn't be surprised if she had some loose change on her. As long as Aryana was careful, she could get away with it...

"ahh.. food!?!?!?" Naomi pepped right up! assuming the meeting was done.. annoyed though she thought "why the hell did they wake us up this early for such a short meeting? oh well... off to find the food!!!" she grabbed everything and left for the Rec Hall! She didn't care to listen to anyone else.. or do anything else.. When she got there she was amazed to see the variety of food they served. she started off with a few Taiyaki.. she was in heaven.. while eating she started to wonder... "who should i duel?" she lets out a sigh... "Nobody probably wants to duel me because i've made such a fool of myself.. or.. everyone is going to take advantage of that.. oy.. i guess we will see how things go..."

Aryana saw Naomi move, and waited for a minute or so before she followed her. She only moved away from her to get herself food, but when her order was ready, she sat down next to Naomi. "So, what do you think of here?" she asked, paying more attention to Naomi than her own food. "It's quite good, isn't it? I never expected a duelling school to be like this." Hopefully Naomi will ask me to duel ... and if she does, then I can have an insight as to her deck, was Aryana's background thought as she waited for an answer.

"The food here is amazing! I really enjoy it!" She gave a big grin as she dropped on of her bean paste pasteries on the floor.. "darn it! atleast none got on me!" she cleans it up really quickly. "the school is interesting.. my parents paid for it. so its a new experience for me. I didn't really even know they had anything like this for a school.. How are you liking it?"

[Naimo]

"I'm liking it, my parents are very picky about what school I go to - after all, a girl with so much inheritance to her name has to have the very best, does she not?" asked Aryana, though it was more of a rhetorical question. She said nothing for a moment as she swallowed, and then asked Naomi, "So, what do you say to a duel? Just a quick one ... a warm up duel, if you like." She waited for an answer; hopefully it would be yes...

Naomi looked surprised.. she finished chewing her food and swallowed... "uhh... Sure.. I'm up for it.. she grabs her dueling deck. i'm pretty sure i haven't lost any cards..." naomi quickly counts them.. "yeah they are all here! I'm up for it..." she looked at her remained bean pastery and quickly finished it off.. "Do you know where the dueling fields are? or do you just want to duel right here?"

[Naimo]

"Let's go to the duelling fields," said Aryana quickly, knowing there was a chance Rio might walk in on them; she wanted to keep her deck a secret from her. She finished her food quickly, and as she got up, she told Naomi she had an idea where they were. Having read the direction signs hanging around the academy, she lead Naomi - mainly out of memory - and found the duel fields. "Oh look, there's a spare spot there." She immediately slipped through the crowd, keeping Naomi close to her, to the very back of the room, so they were hidden by the crowd. She was merely using them as a shield, but she knew it would be worth it; that way, if Rio did come in, Aryana would see her and immediately call the duel off.

 

"You can go first," smiled Aryana at Naomi as she drew her starting hand.

"thanks!" naomi picks up her first 5 cards.. and then draws her sixth.. all right.. i will place 1 magic/trap face down.. and on monster in face down defense position!" she smiles, "Your turn!" she watches as aryana draws her first card.. "I activate Macro Cosmos"

[Naimo]

Aryana said nothing as she drew, and she found herself chuckling slightly. "Get ready for this! I play Spell Absorbtion, and next I use Foolish Burial to send Nightmare Carcass Haeron to my Graveyard, but of course it is removed from play instead. Next I play Nightmare Carcass Graphyr, and now Graphyr, attack that face down! I set two and finish."

naomi looks at aryana.. "wait.. nothing goes to the graveyard.. so that wouldn't work as well as you thought.." so you can't send the one monster to the graveyard.. since.. nothing goes to the graveyard. so from what i understand... you cannot activate foolish burial since the card text says it has to be sent to the graveyard to work."

[Naimo]

"I know," said Aryana. "Which is why Magnet just went and altered the move." (OOC: fourth wall breaking ;)) She watched as her only Nightmare Carcass attacked the face down. "Now come on, what is that face down on the field?" She folded her arms and waited for Naomi to reveal all. Hehehehe what you don't realise is that you're helping me... she thought, her eyes still on the field.
