"Yeah" Selene said, shaking Alyssa's hand. She didn't want to comment on the fact that she never really tried to kill them. She was only trying to gather some information. before the next text. "I was a sweeper once..."

Oops. She definitely did not want to disclose that information. She hated that one moment in her past. Well, hated and loved it. She hated talking about it, yet she loved the moment as it happened. She met Schwa. That could be described as the best moment of her life. But it was embarassing to talk about, especially after what she feared Alyssa's first reaction would be.

Alyssa looked confused. "Um, cool I guess..." she said and then sat down on a bench. "Well at least we haven't gotten any texts to kill each other..." she said. "I hate that guy Zach even though we're supposed to be on the 'same side'," she made quotes with her fingers and made a face. "He's cocky and arrogant with an abnormally large head."

Noticing her confused look, Selene decided to finish the story, "Yeah, I was a sweeper until I met Schwa. I saw him at a park, and he wasn't doing anything malovelent,, he was just there. Then I got a text, which told me to kill the next Sigma I saw, I replied I wanted to change sides. I mean, would you kill a dog because it might have rabies?"

That took some willpower. Never again would she repeat that story. Then Selene realized that she thought that the last time she tried to explain it to someone.

Then she got to the topic of Zach.

"Like I said, we two are, in my opinion, the only two people in this war that are sane. Zach, for example, is cocky, exactly. On my side, we have Xerxes, who is completely sadistic. He could try to kill you just because you existed if it furthered his own little plan. I could name others, but I think the idea comes through."

Selene finished, and sat down on the same bench.

"I understand," said Alyssa immediately. "Maybe I could become a sigma leader if..." her eyes went unfocused as she had a flashback on the sigma who tried to kill her. "Meh...maybe not." she said, getting back into focus. She stood and stretched, then sat back down. "good to not be fighting for once," she commented lamely as she sat down. "Plenty of other things to do..."

"I'm not trying to convert you." Selene said, almost as quickly as Alyssa had understood. "I'm just trying to exchange ideas. For example, I've never had a Sigma try to kill me, or kill my parents. I just wanted some opinion, that's all."

Selene was trying to be diplomatic. It seemed to be working, but you never know. One wrong quote could ruin it.

"No." It seemed as if she never had anywhere to go these days. There were no texts as of late directing her to a certain location. "I don't have anywhere to go right now." She realized Schwa was watching them, and she didn't try to hide it. She realized that one cannot hide something like Schwa from someone like Alyssa.

Alyssa saw Schwa, instinctively took a step backwards and put a hand to her gun, then relaxed. "hes not here to kill me, right?" she asked Selene. She hoped the answer was no. She kept her hand on her gun just in case. "Any idea if there's any place we can stay?" Alyssa asked absentmindedly. She picked at her worn gun handle.

Selene chucked, "As far as I know, he has yet to kill anybody, but I wouldn't know what happened before I met him. He could have killed so many people, although personally, I think that he seems to passive to kill someone. I know he will is he has to, though." Selene said. She then thought of accomodations, but could come up with none, and told this to Alyssa.

"Xerxes, you remember Launch right?" Kenny asks the cat jumping back over onto Xerxes shoulder. "oh and remember he isn t a domestic house cat" he says as the cat lands on Xerxes. Kenny then stands up walking up near zach. "hmm.. so sweeper would you have been able to tell me as a sigma leader if had just walked in and sat down with my cat?" he asks curious of if they could sense him.

"Oh yeah I remember this guy," said Xerxes as he scratched the cat behind its ears. Dren had crawled up Xerxes sleeve when Launch had hopped on to his lap, and Dren now resided on Xerxes shoulder. Xerxes was beginning to get impatient about the text messages. It had been eons since he had received one with any decent information or orders in it. This waiting game was getting old.

Alyssa nodded and looked around. "From personal experiences, not going to go into detail right now, but I've found that Libraries have the most comfortable living experiences if you're going to hide in one." she said and looked around. "I wonder where the nearest library is..." she said. She smiled at Selene, glad to have a sane person with her.

Selene smiled back, and searched her memory for a library. "I think that there was a library by our 'first encounter'" Selene replied. "Maybe just on that block. U do remember passing a library today." She then started walking back towards the place where they first met, beckoning Alyssa to follow.

((Haseo, it's been at least ten days since we started, and no text has been sent out. I know you haven't been online since the third, I'm just keeping track of time.))

Alyssa agreed and followed her. She was curious and dangerous at the same time. She didn't want to get too attached to Selene, because suddenly a text might come telling her to kill her. SHe sighed but continued to walk after her. She looked up at the buildings. it was good to not have to be on a mission to kill someone, or something.

The idea behind befriending Alyssa was actually to get to know her. To have someone on the opposite side that she knew. She knew what he was getting into, though. If one text came through that told her to kill Alyssa, or vice-versa, she was pretty sure that neither of them would kill in cold blood. She remembered the times where Alyssa shot at her, and she noticed that she usually looked away.

Selene didn't look away, but she usually aimed for a spot aboveor below her target as a warning. She didn't really kill them.

Reaching the building where they had first met, distingushable by the huge scratch down the middle, she then looked for the library she had seen nearby.

"hmm...There it is." Alyssa said, pointing to the tall, elegant looking building in front of them. She walked over to the entrance and checked it out. "it's closed," she informed Selene. She rattled the doors and rapped on them loudly. They were locked and no one was inside. "Perfect!" she said and looked up to a window and to a spot above it. She shot her gun at it and then the window clicked open and the whole screen dropped down to shatter on the ground. "Secret spot on a window." she said, grinning, and jumped through the hole.

That was an interesting method. Selene, normally, would have blasted the lock. This, however, was seemingly more efficient. Picking up the window, she noticed Schwa, and told him to go hide on a roof until she came out. Then, she took the window, jumped in, and put the window in behind her.

Alyssa looked around the dim room full of shelves of books. "Normally there's a storage room. We'll stay in there for the night." she decided. She blasted through the door handle for the lounge. "As a decoy," she explained. "If they see the broken window they're going to assume someone broke in. I"m putting the hole in the lounge to make it look like we're hiding out there." she took out a rusty bobby pin and unlocked the door labeled "storage room". "here we are." she said.

Alyssa nodded, liking Selene's style.

"So now we relax." she said, sitting down on a small bookshelf that was empty. She noticed Schwa had gone. "Where did your s-sigma go?" she said, having difficulty related to her emotions in saying the name. She liked Selene, but it was too dangerous to be good friends, and she was having emotional trouble coping with a sigma in the area that she wasn't trying to kill/

In response to Alyssa's question, Selene looked out the window, "Oh, probably on the roof, or something. He's usually up there during nighttime." At least, that's what she hoped. She never really knew what Schwa did at night, although he never came back with any injuries, so Selene always assumed that he had not been attacked. However, Schwa was usually an agressive fighter, so who knew what Schwa may be doing right now.

To avoid scaring Alyssa, she chose to hide these revelations from her. She didn't want a midnight run looking for a Sigma. It reminded her of the Sweeper part of her history.

Alyssa nodded and stretched out, shutting her eyes momentarily. She opened one and noticed voices and movement outside of the library. One had the shadow of a police uniform.

"Shoot." Alyssa said and crept to the corner next to the hinges side of the door. She motioned for Selene to follow. "Must've heard the noise. One of the worst parts of breaking into the building." she breathed as softly as possible and listened to what the police said.

Selene was glad she had acquainted herself with Alyssa. She was turned away from the window at the time when Alyssa spotted the policemen. But instead of following her, she took out her cell phone. Checking her messages (none) she went immediately to settings. Finding her ringtone setting, she set a delay on when it played, and tossed it towards the lounge.

The phone did nothing.

Then, an odd sound came out of the phone. A really odd one. Selene recognized it as a Sigma call, namely Schwa's, but it still started drawing the policemen towards the lounge.

Taking out her gun, Selene prayed that Schwa would hear the call and get here ASAP.
