Duel Spirit[/align]

 

[spoiler=Prologue]It has been several years since the last duel tournament was held. No one ever dueled since. Higherton, the largest duel city, hasn't had a duelist enter the city in 10 years. But several cloaked strangers entered the area bringing the game back. The cost of losing a duel to these cloaked strangers is the opponent's most valuable card. And so a group of skilled duelist have formed to defeat these idle wanders and find out their plans.But to do so they must enter into their tournament.

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Episode 1:The Tournament[/b]]

 

"The Cloaks are at it again..."Said Vincent.

 

He was the number one duelist in Higherton until what he calls 'Cloaks' came. They challenged him to a duel and he lost. And so they took his most valuable card, Railin Parasite Dragon.

 

"How could I lose to them...."He said as he watched another duelist lose his most valuable card.

"Enter our tournament to get your card back." a Cloak said as he grabbed the duelist's card.

 

"They're having a tournament eh?" I'll enter as soon as I get my deck upgraded. Vincent thought as he ran into his dorm.

 

"Hey why so excited?" his roommate asked.

 

"Oh hey Davis, I'm getting my deck ready for the tournament the Cloaks are holding!" Vincent said as he was looking through his dresser for his cards.

 

"Do you know when it starts?" Davis asked.

 

"Not exactly but they just started going around town saying 'Enter our tournament to get your card back' so I'm guessing it's tomorrow!" Vincent said as he was switching cards around.

 

"Hey guys the Cloaks are holding the prelims for their tournament today at 3:30!!!" A voice said.

 

"The door is open!" Davis said.

 

"You mean I only have 1 hour to get ready?!" Vincent said as he was shuffling through his cards faster.

 

"Alice why did you have to say that he was perfectly calm!" Davis said as he covered himself with a blanket.

 

"Sorry but you do get your most valuable card back if you can make past the prelims." Alice said.

 

"Alice could you practice with me at the arena?" Vincent said.

 

"Sure I'm entering too, what about you Davis you lost Chaos Magician Girl." Alice said grabbing a juice box from the fridge.

 

"Don't remind me...."Davis said.

 

"He never actually used its effect he would just grab the card and hide under his blanket." Vincent said .

 

"Lie!!!"Davis said as he jumped down and socked Vincent in the face.

 

"Davis you know by punching him in the face that just proves you did that" Alice said.

 

"She got you!" Vincent said getting up.

 

"Whatever, I'll enter the tournament" Davis said.

 

"Alice let's go before the arena gets too crowded!" Vincent said.

 

The two walked out of the dorm and entered the complex's arena.

 

"Alright Alice I have my Railin deck set!" Vincent said readying his duel disk

 

"And I have my Plant deck set as well!" Alice said readying her duel disk as well.

 

"Duel!" The two said.

 

"I draw!! Yes I play Railin Mecha Alien to the field in attack mode!

 

900/100

 

"And end my turn with a face-down!"

 

"Ok I draw!! I play Evil Thorn in attack mode and activate its effect! I can tribute this card to deal 300 points of direct damage." Alice said

 

"Arrgh!" Vincent said as he lost 300 Life Points

 

4000--> 3700

 

"And also I can summon 2 Evil Thorns from my deck in attack position"

"I end my turn with a face-down" Alice said waiting for Vincent's move.

It would be a waste to use up Railin Mecha Alien's effect because of their low level so I'll play a face-down. Vincent thought.

 

"I'll just end my turn with a face-down!" Vincent said.

 

"I knew you would do that so I sacrifice my two Evil Thorns to Special Summon Tytannial, Princess of Camellias in attack mode!" Alice said.

 

2800/2600

 

"And I now attack your Railin Mecha Alien!" Alice yelled as her monster charged at Vincent's card.

 

"To bad cause I activate my trap card Reversed Destruction! If Railin Mecha Alien is attacked by a monster with 1500 attack or more I can activate one of this card's effects and activate effect B! I pay 1000 life points to destroy the monster and deal battle damage equal to the monster's defense!" Vincent said as the trap's effect activated

 

3700--> 2700

 

"No!" Alice said as her monster was destroyed.

 

4000--> 1400

 

"Urff.." Alice grunted as her life points were reduced.

 

"I end my turn.." Alice said.

 

"So I'm going to win in this turn?" Vincent questioned as he drew a card.

 

"Yes! I attach the equip spell 7 Completed! I have a choice either to increase my monster's attack by 700 or defense by 700 and I choose Railin Mecha Alien's attack!" Vincent said as his monster's attack increased.

 

900--> 1600

 

"Now attack!" Vincent yelled.

 

and the duel was over...

 

"Aggh!" Alice yelled as her life points were reduced to 0

 

1400--> 0

 

"That was a nice practice duel Alice" Vincent said checking the time.

 

"You too!" Alice replied.

 

"Hey we better get going we have 40 minutes before the tournament starts." Vincent said.

 

"Good because the tournament is on the far end of town!" Alice said grabbing Vincent's arm to his dorm.

 

"Hey guys you ready?" Davis said finally dressed.

 

"Yea let's go!" Vincent said.

 

"We are going to get our cards back!" Alice said as the three walked out of the complex.

[spoiler=[b]Episode 2:Destiny's Calling Part 1[/b]]

 

Everything felt still as all who wanted to enter the Cloak's tournament ran to the far end of town. No cars were driving, no birds flying. It was as if the whole area was a secret to people without the heart to duel.

 

"Wait!" Alice yelled grabbing Vincent and Davis.

 

"WHAT!!??" The two anxious boys angrily yelled.

 

"Before we go I wanted to give you two each 1 card to add to your deck.." Alice said shyly.

 

"Uh..but Alice I have nothing to give you..." Vincent said.

 

"Yeah Alice neither do I..." Davis replied.

 

"It's ok as long as you guys have these cards you won't lose trust me!" Alice said giving the two a card.

 

"Unholy Warrior?" The two said.

 

"It's only a 4 starred monster and has horrible attack and defense!" Davis said.

 

"Thanks Alice this card is awesome!!" Vincent said.

 

"Huh?" Davis said.

 

"Read its effect!" Vincent said.

 

"Oh! Really nice card Alice!." Davis said.

 

"I know..it was only 500 dominoes.." Alice replied shyly.

 

"Ahhh!! We only have 15 minutes left let's go!" Vincent said running.

 

Once they were at the dueling area they had 5 minutes to spare.

 

"Phew..." Vincent said.

 

"We finally made it!" Davis and Alice said.

 

"Welcome!! Welcome to all, Though this speech will only last 2 seconds you will remember everything....but before I recite the official speech i will be telling you that I will speak to you with my telepathic powers to notify you of your matches. And so here is the speech......."

 

And a beam of light shined at all the duelists and the Cloaks disappeared.

 

"Huh?..." The duelists said.

 

"That was weird...." another duelist said.

 

"Hey so the first match is in the town square" Vincent said.

 

"But he told me that mine was at the harbor?" Davis said.

 

"Mine is near the card shop" Alice said.

 

Soon there was a barrage of voices talking about where their duels were located.

 

"So I guess their plan is to separate us, taking us down one by one.." Davis said.

 

"Its ok as long as we believe we won't get kicked out of the tournament!" Alice said walking away.

 

"Alice is right! Well Davis see you until well, until see each other again!" Vincent said walking away.

 

"Ok fine just leave me here!!! Mff! I'll just go to the harbor!"

 

meanwhile Vincent was already at town square when another duelist appeared.

 

"You my opponent?" The duelist asked.

 

"I guess." Vincent said.

The match was only 3 turns into the duel and the other duelist was loosing greatly.

"Alright Railin Unmasked Jester attack his Claw Reacher to finish this duel up!" Vincent said.

 

"Ahhh!!!!" The duelist yelled losing the rest of his life points.

 

500---> 0

 

"Alright I won! That was a good-" Vincent paused.

 

"Hello?" Vincent said then walked away back to the complex waiting for his friends.

[spoiler=[b]Episode 3:Destiny's Calling Part 2[/b]]

 

As the sun slowly set Vincent was tired waiting for his friends and decided to walk around the complex trying to pass the time.

 

Where are they?.. Vincent thought ...it's been 1 hour!

 

"Hi!!!!!Vincent!" A voice yelled.

 

"What the..?!" Vincent said shocked.

 

"Hey is Davis with you?" The voice said sounding familiar.

 

"Alice?" Vincent said as Alice ran closer into a clearer view.

 

"Yep, is Davis with you?" Alice asked again.

 

"Nope.." Vincent said.

 

"We better go check on his duel then!" Alice said grabbing Vincent.

 

"Wha? W-Wait!!!" Vincent said nearly tripping.

 

"We should use our bikes to get there faster!" Vincent said running to a door.

 

"I've completely forgot about our bikes! I haven't used mine for a while, do you think it woul-!" Alice paused for a moment.

 

"Yep me and Davis fixed up our bikes to suit us just in case we ever needed them again." Vincent said grabbing out Alice's bike.

 

"Thanks now we better hurry and see what's going on." Alice said readying herself on the bike.

 

meanwhile...

"Urr...I-oh..." Davis said trembling as he only had 700 life points left.

 

"Yea and I'll finish this duel using Super Conductor Tyrano's special effect." the deep toned duelist said.

 

"Not again..." Davis said.

 

"Now I tribute my Black Tyrano to inflict 1000 points of direct damage to you and win the duel!" The deep toned duelist said.

 

RAAAA!!!!!!!!!! the monster yelled charging towards Davis.

 

"I'm sorry Vincent and Alice...." Davis said.

 

"Davis!!!!!!" Vincent yelled.

 

"Vincent sorry..." Davis said loosing the rest of his life points.

 

"Hahahahahaha" The duelist laughed leaving.

 

"Davis!!" Vincent said waving at Alice to hurry up.

 

"Urrff..." Davis grunted.

 

"Davis don't worry I'll bring you back just-" Vincent paused staring at a still figure next to him.

 

"I'm afraid I'll just need to take him to verify that he has lost in our tournament." The Cloak said grabbing Davis' body.

 

"That's a stupid excuse give him-!!!" Vincent felt dizzy and fainted.

 

"Vincent!" Alice said but a Cloak grabbed her and she fainted also.

 

"Woah!!" Vincent yelled falling off his bed."

 

"Huh?" Alice said. "What am I doing here?"

 

"I don't know but I'm pretty sure your in Davis' bed!" Vincent said laughing.

 

"Eeek!" Alice screamed.

 

"Davis!" Vincent remembered. "Where's Davis?"

 

"Oh, remember..the Cloak grabbed him and..." Alice hesitated to finish her sentence.

 

"Alice don't worry we got past the prelims as long as we can make it through we could find a way to get him back!!" Vincent said with confidence.

 

Then Alice looked right next to her.

 

"Oh! my little Dandylion! Oh how I've missed you!" Alice said tightly hugging the card.

 

"If you got your card back then.." Vincent felt his pocket. "Parasite Dragon!! I- I have you back!" Vincent said spiffing up the card.

 

"I guess they aren't liers like I expected." Alice said putting Dandylion back in her deck.

 

"Yea but they still took Davis and I'll never forgive them.." Vincent said putting Railin Parasite Dragon back in his deck.

 

"Yep." Alice agreed. "We'll get him back."

[spoiler=[b]Episode 4:Someone Nobody Knows[/b]]

 

The area was dark and felt empty. Many purple orbs floated aimlessly but a voice yelled from the darkness...

 

"Where am I?" Davis said.

 

"Welcome Davis you are in the Shadow Realms..." A voice said.

 

"Get me out! I have to be there for my friends!" Davis yelled.

 

"Its too late you have been turned into aura..." The voice continued.

 

"....No!..." Davis said as he felt himself fall into the darkness.

 

"Mfff...Uh.."

 

"Welcome and may I ask what your name is...But before I should my name is Takashi." Takashi said welcoming the stranger.

 

"I don't know my name..." The stranger said.

 

"Well then...you look a little like an Alex but also like a-...I got it your name is Ray!" Takashi said.

 

"Errm...ok that shall be my name!" The stranger said.

 

"Ok then Ray welcome to this new world, some how your body survived the Shadow Realm and entered Earth!" Takashi went on.

 

"What are these?" Ray said showing Takashi cards.

 

"Wow! those are duel monster cards and you have pretty decent ones. Takashi said.

 

"Oh, well then what do I do with them? Ray asked.

 

"Well you're part of our organization all we do is duel and take somebody's most valued card if they lose." Takashi said.

 

"That's it! No real purpose to this organization?" Ray questioned.

 

"Well we're the lowest ranked members of this organization so we're not suppose know much." Takashi said.

 

"Oh, sorry about that then." Ray said.

 

"No problem! Oh no my gem is glowing." Takashi said.

 

"Mine is too what does that mean?" Ray asked.

 

"It means we have to duel!" Takashi said running through a purple portal.

 

"Except you Ray!" a sweet voice called out.

 

"Hello my name is Yoko" the voice said again.

 

Ray looked behind him."Oh hello Yoko! Then what do I do?" Ray said.

 

"Like all rank 0 members you will spend 2 weeks in the human world! I'll be your guide now follow me!" Yoko said going through a red portal.

 

"Ok now Ray we are wearing human clothes so we don't look suspicious." Yoko said.

 

Ray was wearing a blue sweater and black skinny jeans. While Yoko was wearing a green tank top and blue jeans.

 

"So what do we do here?" Ray asked.

 

"Well today is one day then we go back. So I guess you could just have some fun today!" Yoko said.

 

"Ok I'll just look around the area and see all the things of this new world!" Ray said.

 

That day felt like a dream to Ray as it quickly passed but felt like endless happiness.

[spoiler=[b]Epidsode 5:Week 2 starts[/b]]

Week 1 passed quickly and so Ray learned more about "being human". He, Yoko, and Takashi became great friends during that time and were at their usual spot in the human world, the train station. The place has been closed down for 4 years and so it was the perfect spot it still had electricity and a working vending machine.

 

"Why would you eat from a vending machine you idiot!!!"Yoko yelled hitting Takashi with her new purse.

 

"Ow!!Its-Ow!-Still-Ow!!!Good!"Takashi said eating a 4 year old candy bar.

 

"You guys are funny!"Ray said laughing.

 

"What's that supposed to mean!!!!!!" Yoko and Takashi said.

 

Ray covering his mouth mumbled.

"N-nothing!!"

 

"Ray!!!"Yoko and Takashi yelled running towards Ray.

 

After the shame battle was over Ray had bruises on his shoulder.

 

"Huff..Huff..come on we can't start week 2 like this!" Ray protested.

 

"Oh that's right week 2 has started..."Takashi said.

 

"Let's make the most of it!" Yoko said.

 

The 3 headed out of the train station and headed toward a restaurant.

 

"1 week has passed...." Vincent said

 

"He's gone....I can't find him....." Vincent mumbled.

 

"Don't worry we'll get past the real tournament and-" Alice stopped.

 

"The tournament! We have 1 more day until it starts."Alice said.

 

"Right and you haven't gotten any new cards!" Vincent reminded.

 

"Well then I better get to the card shop!" Alice said running towards *Tsuka's Card Shop.

*Tsuka's Card Shop is a black market card shop with rare cards but at a cheap price, dueling!

 

The two enter a scum infested area. People in rags were dueling.

Then came a guy about 20 walking up.

 

"Alice! Vincent! Da-.." The voice stopped.

 

"Riiiiigh!Erhm.." The voice cleared his throat.

 

"Davis is gone Tsuka! You of all people know that for sure!" Vincent said.

 

"Well I'm usual great my custeemers like so!" Tsuka replied with purposed grammar.

 

"Tsuka mind your grammar too! I understand but its just a little hard to understand you sometimes." Alice yelled.

 

"Pfft. We've be friends for 3 years you should be used to my grammar." Tsuka said in reply.

 

"Well anyways I need a set of common and rare cards with a medium duel think you have one?" Alice said.

 

"Sha! I haves 3 sets you can choose from just tell me when your ready!" Tsuka said heading to a small corridor.

 

"Tsuka...." Alice said with annoyance

 

"Yea he'll probably have good cards if you choose all 3!" Vincent said.

 

Alice headed to the corridor ready to make her final decision.

[spoiler=Bios]These are bios based on the characters that have appeared

[spoiler=Vincent]Vincent is a 12 year old boy who was the top duelist in the Higherton area until he was defeated by a Cloak. He is a double toned hair kid red borders his dark brown spiked hair and he usually wears a red and white long sleeve shirt and navy blue jeans.

 

[spoiler=Davis]Davis is a 14 year old boy that somehow ended up staying in Vincent's room last year due to a microwave accident. He has black flat hair and usually wears a blue shirt with the number 21 in the middle and black skinny jeans.

 

[spoiler=Alice]Alice is a 12 year old girl that always hangs out with Vincent and Davis and the complex. She has red straight hair that hangs on her shoulders she usually wears a purple shirt with a red rose in the middle and wears a yellow skirt.

 

[spoiler=Tsuka]A guy about 20 who makes money off duels within his own boundaries. Often speaking in incorrect grammar due to the lack of education. He's a laid back man with a gray jacket,worn out golden shorts and some beach sandles.
