No I'm not giving up on Demon King or Yu-Gi-Oh! NT either, just setting things up. Oh and first chapter may be alittle dry but next chapter and onwards will have more action. Hope you like it.

Chapter 1: Their Bond!

Inside the dust filled town filled with concrete buildings a teenage boy is seen running talking to a group of adults.

“Have you seen Toyo?” the boy asked. The group of adults shook there head no. The boy waved goodbye and started to run in an unknown direction. His red hair and long purple shirt ruffled in the wind. His long gray shorts flowing in the wind. As he continued to run through the dust filled streets of the town he periodically shifted his head back and forth. Then a sudden tug at his shorts caused him to stop.

He looked around to find that there was no one there. Then another tug forced him to look down and see a little girl at his feet. “Yes little one?” the boy asked as he crept down to her level.

“I know where Toylo is.” the little girl answered.

“And where is he?” he asked again. The little girl pointed to the top of a tall cement tower. He smiled at the girl and patted her head.

On top of the tower lay a light skinned teenage with brown hair dressed in a closed sleeveless yellow vest. Baggy black pants draped over his legs.

“But how the hell am I goin to do it though?” the boy asked himself.

“Do what?” a voice from behind the boy asked. The boy got up and turned around to see that it was a boy with red hair.

“You scared me there Ken Tsubaki.” the brown haired boy said.

“Why are you so formal, Toyo Ibuzake?” Ken asked. Toyo sighed and sat back down. “I know that school has taught us to be respectful but I think you took it too far.” Ken laughed. He noticed the sad look on Toyo’s face. “Speaking of school, why haven’t you been there lately? It’s been like three, four, a whole week!”

“They did it. They kicked me out of school. ‘You have zero percent of Imagik. How can we teach somebody who lacks what is needed for basic life?’ They said.” Toyo answered.

Ken’s face distorted with anger. “How dare they kick you out of school for not having Imagik!” he roared. “We are going to school tomorrow and beg, no, TELL them that they are going to accept you back!”

“What ever. I don’t really feel like going back there anyway. They haven’t really taught us anything.” Toyo slumped.

“Heh, oh yeah. We learned this a few days ago. This might make you want to come back.” Ken said while looking over the side of the tower. “Visualize…..breakdown….think…and focus!” He then jumped from the tower.

Toyo’s eyes widened as he saw his friend jump off of the high tower. “Ken!” He ran up to the edge and peered over to see if he could spot his friend’s body. He looked furiously but couldn’t find him.

“Heh, you like?” a voiced asked from behind Toyo. He turned around to see Ken on eye level with him.

“What? Ken, are you flying?” Toyo asked.

“No. This is what we learned in school. It’s called ‘Thought Casting’.” Ken said while motioning Toyo to go over to him. Toyo slowly went over to the other side of the tower and looked down. His eyes grew big.

“Woah! You're standing on a cylinder of earth! How?” Toyo asked while still looking at the long cylinder of earth that Ken is positioned on. “Its looks like it is coming straight from the earth.”

“Professor Bilt told us all to just think about changing something and our Imagik will handle the rest. But the sad part is that I am only learning Earthen Imagik right now. It is the easiest to learn because it is everywhere and you can see it. It is also easier to control because it stays still.” Ken said proudly. “Give it a try.”

Toyo shook his head. “I can’t. I don’t have any Imagik.”

“Are you going to listen to some teachers who have known you for like a year or your best friend?!” Ken exclaimed.

“I guess your right.” Toyo agreed. He walked over to the edge and looked hard at the ground. “Think and change. Thank and change.” he repeated to himself.

“That’s it! I can see earth moving right now!” Ken announced. They both looked in awe as the saw earth slowly rise from the ground.

“Think and change. Think and change.” Toyo continued. The both drew faint smiles. “I can do it!” he roared. Their faces then turned to grimaces as they watched a little brown animal escape through the hole.

“It was a mole the whole time?” Ken asked as Toyo slumped down on the tower. “Hey buddy, its ok. We have plenty of other times to do it. But let’s get down from here.” Toyo got up and shuffled himself onto the earth cylinder as it slowly moved down to ground level.

“Hey Ken?” Toyo asked.

“Yeah?”

“Thanks. But I’m going to go home and hitting the sheets.”

“Yeah, alright. But I’m comin by in the morning to pick you up. Were going to have a little talk with the professors.” Ken waved as he ran away.

Toyo layed in his bed which is just a mattress on the dirt floor. His room is bare and covered in dirt. A knock on his wood door caused him to spring out of bed.

“Whose there?” Toyo asked while rubbing his eyes and yawning.

“Who do you think? Get out here.” Ken answered back. Toyo opened his door and there stood Ken, as proud as ever. “Let’s go man. The professors are waiting.”

“You really scheduled a meeting?” shocked Toyo. Ken smiled and nodded his head. “Wait, I have to go and wash myself down.”

“That will take too long. The water fountain is on the complete other side of this dusty Port. Here, let me.” Ken suggested as he held out his hand and closed his eyes. He opened them again and all the dirt and dust that was on Toyo’s body fell straight to the floor.

“Wow, um thanks.” Toyo and Ken ran to a large square building that had several windows and doors. A large sign in the front read: “Port Young Men’s School”. They both ran inside and opened a door. There sat six men that wore blue top hats that read: “Professor”.

“So Mr. Tsubaki, you called this meeting because…” one of the men asked.

“My best friend here, Toyo Ibuzake, is not enrolled into this school anymore? I want to know what reasons that you have for this.” Ken answered.

“Ah yes, Toyo.” one of the men said in disgust. “He exhibits no Imagik what so ever and in a school where Imagik is a requirement Toyo has no role in any of our classes.”

“Adding on to the fact that he is downright revolting. Anyway, who are you? His mother?” The men all sat back and laughed as Ken clenched his fist and Toyo lowered his head.

“No, but I am all that Toyo has. I am his friend, I am his shelter, I am his second life! You bastards wouldn’t know anything about that now would you?! He has to fight everyday just to stay alive!” Ken yelled.

“No, Mr. Tsubaki we wouldn’t. But then again we aren’t dogs like him.” They continued to laugh.

“I used to look up to you guys. But now, you guys are monsters. Toyo is just a scentless flower in a bundle of roses. You won’t notice him unless you take out the rest of the flowers, that’s why that he shines. Like a Tsubaki flower, like my last name, he will shine out over everyone!” Ken slandered. The room drew quiet. Toyo looked at Ken’s angered face in shock. “Let’s go.” Ken demanded as they both left the door.

Outside Ken threw his arm around Toyo’s shoulder. “Hey man, forget that school. They were idiots anyway. Hey I have a plan. Want to hear it?” Ken asked.

“Y…Yeah.” Toyo answered.

“Heh, well I got this idea from you. Let’s break out of this damned port.” Toyo’s face turned white.

“Are you suicidal?! Do you know how many dangerous people and monsters are out there?!” Toyo shouted.

“Keep it down! And anyway you do know what connects ports to each other right?”

“Yeah, beyond the great walls of a port lie blank areas. A person with enough Imagik can create these areas and “bridge” between ports.”

“Always the textbook answer eh Toyo?” Ken laughed. Toyo lowered his head.

“But we still have to get past those dangerous monsters too.” Toyo announced.

“Don’t worry about them. If we happen to meet up with something, I will be sure to beat its ass. Especially because just I thought of like four new earth techniques.”

“Yeah, that doesn’t sound too promising.” Toyo said while raising his head and smiling.

“There’s that smile! Man, I hate how this port has such short days. But hey, let me show you something.” Ken motioned to him as they both noticed the now darkened and star lit sky. “Earth, elevate!” he announced as the ground underneath them raised them up high into the air.

“What?” Toyo asked.

“Look, do you see that moon?”

“Yeah, it’s big and full. Almost like I can touch it….” Toyo exclaimed.

“Yeah. But one day, I’m going to reach up high and completely destroy it.” Ken said.

“Huh, why?”

“They say that the moon is a mirror of the earth. If I destroy it then this planet will get destroyed as well.”

“That is a messed up way of thinking Ken.”

“Heh, but after Earth is destroyed we can imagine earth in our own way. One without ports, suffering, wars. We can create a peaceful world.” said Ken as he reached his hand out high.

“Wow Ken. That’s poetic.” Toyo said while looking at him.

“Thanks. But that’s my dream and I will make it a reality soon. But let’s head home. But don’t go to bed. Just pack your stuff and get ready.”

“Why?” Toyo asked.

“Cause its time to make your dream a reality too. We are heading out tonight.” Ken smiled.
